Fox News – “An Israeli airstrike on the Damascus airport has reportedly killed nearly a dozen senior Iranian military officials, which one expert told Fox News Digital would prove Israel’s ability to maintain a multi-faceted defense of the region.
‘While there is no independent confirmation of Guard Corps names or ranks, the IRGC has long seen Syria as a critical regional hub to project power into the Eastern Mediterranean and connect its constellation of proxies called the ‘Axis of Resistance,’’ Behnam Ben Taleblu, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said.
‘It should come as a shock to no one that Guard Corps elite are operating there, especially amid a regional war, which they are directing far away from their own soil,’ he added.
‘Similarly, should the strike be independently verified, it would be more proof of Israel being able to hold back and deter elements of the Axis of Resistance in other geographies while fighting to defeat Hamas in Gaza,’ Taleblu stressed.
Syrian media claimed that Israel had targeted sites in southern Syria and near Damascus in waves that aimed to disrupt and Iran’s operations in the country.
A report from The Jerusalem Post claimed the strike killed 11 leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at the airport on Thursday night.
The IRGC leadership targeted also reportedly included Nur Rashid, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards in eastern Syria, who only suffered injuries from the attack.” Read more.

The German government has released new hate crime statistics after a request for information by the right-wing populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction in Parliament, revealing that over 700 such crimes have been registered since the Hamas terror attack in October.
Broadsheet newspaper Die Welt reports of the known causes for such attacks particular causes and nationalities stand out in ‘most’ cases, revealing that among politically-motivated antisemitism, the majority of cases are attributed to ‘foreign ideology’ or ‘religious’ ideology. The Times of Israel – “Iran has increased the rate at which it is producing near-weapons-grade uranium in recent weeks, reversing a previous slowdown that started in the middle of this year, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Tuesday in a report to member states.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said in the report that Iran ‘in recent weeks had increased its production of highly enriched uranium, reversing a previous output reduction from mid-2023,’ according to an IAEA spokesperson Sunday.
Iran had previously slowed down the rate at which it was enriching uranium to 60 percent purity. Uranium enriched at 60% purity is just a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90%.
The UN nuclear watchdog said its inspectors had verified the increased rate of production since the end of November at facilities in Natanz and Fordow to about 9 kilograms per month, up from 3 kilograms per month since June and representing a return to earlier levels of production.
In January, Grossi had warned that Tehran already had enough nuclear material for ‘several’ weapons. ‘They have amassed enough nuclear material for several nuclear weapons — not one at this point,’ he said, listing 70 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% purity and 1,000 kilograms at 20%.” Read more.

Yahoo News – “Israel has warned they are in a war on seven fronts as attacks recorded in a handful of neighbouring countries in the last 48 hours spark fears of the conflict escalating to the wider region.

Express – “At least seven terror suspects arrested in Europe were planning to carry out an operation on behalf of Hamas, according to Israeli intelligence.
