Stalling: Hamas Agrees To Release Living And Deceased Hostages, But Demands To “Immediately Enter Into Negotiations Through The Mediators To Discuss” Other Details Of Trump’s Peace Plan

Sounds like Hamas is trying to pull a fast one. With widespread Western and Arab support of Trump’s “peace deal” Hamas knows they’re cornered. As expected, however, the Islamic terrorist organization is working overtime to appear as though they’ve responded positively to the proposal … while demanding to “enter into negotiations to discuss the details.” It’s a ruse. At best, Hamas has only partially agreed to the peace plan. Anything short of the release of all living and deceased hostages would result in an immediate and unfettered IDF offensive against all remaining Hamas holdouts throughout Gaza City and beyond. And they know it. How quickly all hostages can be released — assuming Hamas knows where all are — is still to be determined, but the issue with the hostages is something Hamas is willing to compromise on. Beyond the hostages, however, the real crux of the “peace deal” involves the status of Hamas itself as a fighting and politically influential force. Disarm? Give up power? Renounce terrorism? Israel National News – “The Hamas terrorist organization on Friday evening submitted to the mediators its response to US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, according to reports in Al Jazeera and the Qatari Al-Araby channel.

A statement from Hamas said, ‘After thorough review, the following response was conveyed to the mediators: Hamas appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as those of US President Donald Trump, calling for an end to the war in the Gaza Strip, a prisoner exchange, the immediate entry of humanitarian aid, the rejection of the occupation of the Gaza Strip, and the displacement of our Palestinian people from it.’

Hamas continued, ‘In this context, and to achieve a cessation of hostilities and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the movement announces its agreement to release all Israeli hostages, both living and deceased, in accordance with the exchange formula included in President Trump’s proposal, provided that the necessary conditions on the ground are met. In this regard, the movement confirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details.’

The organization also said it ‘reaffirms its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian body (technocrats) based on Palestinian national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic backing.’

‘The other issues raised in President Trump’s proposal regarding the future of the Gaza Strip and the authentic rights of the Palestinian people are tied to a comprehensive national stance, based on relevant international laws and resolutions, and will be addressed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework in which Hamas will participate and bear full responsibility,’ the organization said.

A separate report in the Wall Street Journal indicated that Hamas has expressed willingness to accept Trump’s plan but would refuse to disarm.” Read more.

Tasnim News Agency – “Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh and his Turkish counterpart Yasar Guler met in Ankara, where they discussed expanding military cooperation and signaled intentions to build a stronger regional security partnership.

General Nasirzadeh, who has traveled to Ankara at the official invitation of Turkish Chief of General Staff General Yasar Guler, held talks with senior Turkish officials, saying the visit provided a platform for direct discussions on bilateral defense cooperation and wider regional issues.

Highlighting cultural and religious ties, Nasirzadeh said Iran and Turkey share broad common ground, adding that differences are minor compared with shared interests.

He said strengthening defense ties with neighboring countries is a priority for Tehran.

He described Turkey as a key Muslim nation with political, economic and military influence, adding that stronger military cooperation could help address challenges facing the Islamic world and the region.

Referring to recent regional tensions, Nasirzadeh condemned Israeli regime for its criminal aggressions across Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and even Qatar.

He slammed the Zionist regime as an expansionist and destabilizing force, calling it the ‘most detested regime’ for its repeated attacks and civilian casualties.

He also said countries across the region agree on the need to condemn and confront its actions…

The Times of Israel – “No one is talking about it, but Washington and Ankara are quietly getting cozy again — and they are doing it while Turkey openly embraces Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. For Israel, this is not just bad optics, it is dangerous.

After being kicked out of the F-35 program for buying Russia’s S-400 air defense system, Turkey was supposed to be punished. Instead, Washington is now fast-tracking F-16 Block-70 sales and upgrades to Ankara, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is already signaling his interest in adding the American Patriot system to the mix. This is not isolation; it is a reset.

Why the thaw? NATO arithmetic. Turkey finally ratified Sweden’s entry into the alliance, and the payoff was immediate. Washington wants Turkey inside the tent no matter how much Hamas cash flows through Istanbul.

But the bigger secret is this: Turkey hosts American nuclear weapons at Incirlik Air Base. For decades, those warheads have been the insurance policy that keeps Ankara untouchable. No one in Washington dares talk about it, but it is why Turkey is treated as indispensable, even when it plays footsie with Moscow and Hamas.

And make no mistake — Ankara is not hiding its loyalties. Erdoğan has rolled out the red carpet for Hamas leadership, posing for cameras while denouncing Israel. He blasts the Jewish State in every speech, then cashes in NATO chips with Washington the next day. The message is clear: you can host terrorists on Saturday and still sign weapons deals with the Americans on Monday.

For Israel, this is not ‘strategic diplomacy.’ It is a betrayal. A U.S.-Turkey reset risks laundering Erdoğan’s Hamas ties under the cover of NATO. Washington tells itself that keeping Turkey close will moderate it, but the evidence screams the opposite. Erdoğan pockets the jets, the nukes, the leverage — and Hamas gets legitimacy from a NATO capital.
