Great new Twitter/X feature has been added recently revealing the country of origin for every account. I’ve been noticing a number of “pro-Israel” and “like-minded conservatives” sending “friendly” direct messages to this site’s Twitter/X account and fishing for information from regions that are entirely different than where they claim to be from. Many even appear to have been working overtime trying to create a post history and/or retweet history to make you think they’re legit. Chances are, THEY’RE NOT …

JNS – “In recent weeks, a new transparency feature released by Elon Musk’s social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), has triggered one of the most dramatic shake-ups in online discourse since the Gaza war began on Oct. 7, 2023.
With a single click, users can now view an X account’s real-world geographic location, the date it was created and its name-change history. The result has been startling: dozens of accounts that claimed to be civilian ‘eyewitnesses’ inside Gaza, many sharing emotional accounts of bombings and life under siege, were exposed as operating from thousands of miles away.
The revelation, pieced together by Israeli media and now acknowledged publicly by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has begun to pull back the curtain on what appears to be a broad, coordinated disinformation network. What millions of global viewers believed to be heartbreaking personal testimonies of ordinary Gazans were actually accounts traced to countries across the world, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
According to Ynet, the new ‘About this account’ option enables users to view the location of an account, as well as, in many cases, the location where the X application was first installed. A fired shell casing was inscribed with ‘notices bulges OwO what’s this?’ – a reference to a ‘copypasta’ – a piece of text that is repeated over and over again, often to troll people online.
Authorities say one unfired casing had the words ‘Hey fascist! Catch!’ and three down arrows – a common symbol used to represent the anti-fascist movement.
A second casing had the lyrics to a song ‘Bella Ciao’ inscribed on it. The song honours WWII-era partisans of the Italian resistance who fought Nazi Germany.
The third unfired casing was inscribed with the words ‘If you read this, you are gay lmao’ – again an apparent reference to online trolling humour.

FOX News – “Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, is dead after being shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University Wednesday.
President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death in a post on Truth Social.
‘The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us,’ Trump wrote. ‘Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!’
The suspect is not in custody, Utah Valley University said in a statement.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, UVU spokesperson Ellen Treanor said: ‘A suspect was in custody initially, but to the best of my knowledge, that individual has been released. Our campus police are currently investigating in conjunction with the Orem police.’ Fox News Digital has reached out to Orem Police Department for comment.
In a statement, UVU said that police are escorting students off campus: ‘UVU campus is closed. Classes cancelled. Those on campus, secure in place until police officers can escort you safely off campus. Police are currently going building to building escorting people off campus. Roads to campus are currently closed.’
Kirk died after he was taken to a hospital in critical condition after being shot Wednesday at a Utah event, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
Video posted from the event appeared to show Kirk being shot as he spoke to the crowd from under a white pop-up tent. After the shot, the crowd dispersed, with onlookers shouting, ‘Run, run, run!'” Read more.

It’s interesting how a lot of actors in Gaza play the role of journalists and paramedics these days. They must be in high demand. Due to budgetary constraints, however, even Hamas militants volunteer on occasion, playing the role of nice guys and innocent injured civilians. Sometimes it’s easy to tell which film they’re shooting. For instance, the Palestinian “corpse” climbing back on the funeral bier after being dropped by pallbearers and the blaring siren re-animating the dead was from “The Zombies of Zawaida.” This scene here was evidently shot at the height of the Covid plandemic. But I couldn’t quite figure out if the scene below is for an upcoming drama or a comedy. He seems to either inadvertently miss his cue or was intentionally trigger happy for the fall. Of course, the fact that comedy isn’t exactly halal in Islam suggests that this is likely yet another Palestinian drama …

CBC – “For the first time in 20 years, the menorah will not be displayed outside Moncton city hall during Hanukkah.
Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold conveyed the decision to Weil on Monday.
Francis Weil, president of the Moncton Jewish Community, says the city’s decision not to allow the menorah is a profound ‘hurt’ to the people he represents.
At the meeting, the mayor said ‘city hall should be neutral as far as religion is concerned,’ Weil said.
He said the decision was further discussed Thursday, when Arnold met with Weil and other members of the community.
Weil followed this up with a news release, saying that in making the city’s case, Arnold cited a 2015 Supreme Court ruling against municipal councils opening their meetings with prayer.
Weil called the court ruling about council meetings a ‘pretext.’
Despite numerous efforts to speak to Arnold and city spokesperson Isabelle LeBlanc throughout the day Friday, CBC News was unable to confirm the menorah decision or the rationale for it. There was no response at all.
Meanwhile, Christmas symbols, including angels with trumpets, are on display outside Moncton city hall. In light of the menorah decision, Weil called this ‘an indicator of discrimination.'” Read more.
