Prominent Arab Convert To Christianity Leaves Catholic Church Over Its ‘Weakness’ On Islam

By Tiffany Gabbay, The Blaze – “In a shocking display that does not bode well for the Catholic Church and its stance on defending the multitudes of Christians currently being persecuted in Islamic countries, Magdi Christiano Allam, a prominent covert from Islam to Christianity, has left the Catholicism. He reasoned that he could not abide the church’s ‘weakness’ and policy of appeasement towards Islam.

The Egyptian-born Allam, who publicly converted in St. Peter’s Basilica on Easter 2008 with the oversight of Pope Benedict XVI himself, renounced his Catholicism because, in his view, the church legitimizes a religion that is ‘inherently violent’ to people of all walks, including fellow Muslims.

Ever-outspoken, Allam assures that he will remain a Christian, but roundly criticized the Catholic Church for also fostering an environment in which the Islamization of Europe will, in his mind, most assuredly take place.

Translated from the Italian news outlet, Corriere, Allam clarified that his mind had been made up before the new pope was chosen and that the driving factor to leave the church is its of Islam’s place among the monotheistic religions.

‘I am convinced,’ Allam stated, ‘that Islam is an ideology inherently violent as it has been historically conflictual inside and warlike outside.’

‘I am even more convinced that Europe will eventually be submitted to Islam, as has already happened since the seventh century.’

Allam also criticized the church for not having ‘the vision and the courage to denounce the incompatibility of Islam with our civilization and fundamental rights of the person.’

‘I will continue to believe in Jesus,’ he continued. ‘I have always loved and proudly identify with Christianity as the civilization that more than others brings man closer to God who chose to become man.” Read more.

Scottish Aberdeen Church Opens Doors To Muslims To Pray Side By Side – “A Scottish reverend has invited Muslims to pray alongside Christians in an Aberdeen church because the nearby mosque is so small that some worshippers were forced to pray outside. The rector of St John’s church, Rev Isaac Poobalan, has made parts of the building available to the congregation of the mosque. Up to 100 Muslims now pray in the main chapel five times every Friday. Church leaders believe this may be the only place in the UK where Christians and Muslims worship side by side; there have been similar moves in the US, including in Memphis two years ago.” Read more.

Texas: Quiz Given Fifth-Graders Blames U.S. For 9/11 Attacks

Family Security Matters – “A Texas mother is outraged by a school quiz given to her son that seemingly blames the United States for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Kara Sands posted the test her son received in fifth grade at the Flour Bluff Independent School District in September on her Facebook page, which attracted more than 1,600 users in support of her concerns. Sands told KRISTV.com that she was most dismayed by a question that asked why the U.S. may be a target for terrorism. Her son chose the correct answer to the test that covered material from a video students watched in class: ‘Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.’

‘I’m not going to justify radical terrorists by saying we did anything to deserve that; over 3,000 people died,’ Sands told the station.

Sands later met with the school’s principal, her son’s teacher and contacted the video’s distributor, Safari Montage, whose representatives stand behind the video but have already changed the corresponding quiz.

School officials said Safari Montage representatives apologized for the wording of the question, saying it was not their intent to blame the United States for the terror attacks.” Source – Family Security Matters.

Mysterious ‘Booms’ Heard Across Southern Illinois Puzzles Experts, Residents

By Gina Blankenship, Daily American News – “Social media was abuzz this weekend following what is begin described as a ‘loud boom’ that was heard all over Southern Illinois Saturday.

The source of the noise is unknown and, according to some, has been recurring for the past several weeks.

Loud and mysterious booms are being heard and felt around the region. For more than a month, the noise has been compared to a sonic boom, tannerite, shotgun, dynamite or cannon. The theories surrounding the source of the ‘loud bangs’ range from fracking to supersonic jets, meteors and even the end-times. However, an official explanation has not been given, leaving residents baffled. Wanting answers, many have turned to their local media.

‘The first time I heard it, I waited to hear sirens. I dismissed it assuming I would find out what happened later on the news,’ said Lori Wharton Libby. An accident was not to blame for the noise that day nor was anything on the news regarding what she heard.

Libby, who is a secretary for Cornerstone Community Church, started a thread on the WSIL News 3 Facebook wall asking for answers. Her inquiry resulted in more than 200 comments from people who have also heard and felt the noise.

Many have experienced it frequently over the past several weeks.

‘We tried to put the facts together,’ said Libby. ‘We knew it wasn’t a gun or cannon. The noise is loud enough to scare our dog under the bed. People from as far east as Harrisburg and north of Mt. Vernon have heard and felt the same noise that I described.’

The West Frankfort Police Department said that they have not received any complaints regarding the issue.

Further investigation finds these unidentified noises are taking place all over the country. Around the beginning of January people from Utah, Massachusetts, Alaska, Tennessee, Indiana and Florida have been contacting their local authorities and news media outlets regarding unexplained loud booms.

One website, Earthfiles.com has links to several news and police reports around the country wherein noises and vibrations identical to those being heard and felt in our area have been reported. Still an official explanation has not been given.

‘At this point, nobody seems to know,’ said University of Evansville physicist, Jeffrey Braun, PH.D. ‘The geologists say it’s not in the ground. The Air Force says it’s not in the air. The astronomers say it’s not from space. So we are running out of options.'” Read more.

The Spring Equinox Has Come And Gone … Has The 1260 Day Countdown Begun?

Here’s an update on this story. The Spring Equinox has come and gone without any obvious fulfilment of the theory set forth by 119 Ministries in their “End of Days” teachings series, specifically part 4 of the series titled “Daniel Unsealed“. Though I strongly disagree with some of the teachings set forth by 119 Ministries, they admittedly offered a number of compelling reasons why the final 1260 days leading up to the Second Advent could begin around March 21st or 22nd, 2013. But it didn’t happen. Now, does this mean that Christ will not return in 2016 as 119 Ministries and others have theorized? No, of course not. Although most of us view the 1260 days as literal days, which they very well could be (a view that I still hold myself), we need not turn a blind eye to the possibility that they were intended as days of years, more along the lines of an historicist view of Church history (albeit non-papal). If that is the case, then we could still be well on our way to witnessing the glorious return of our Saviour and King in a few short years. As always, test all things and let us not sleep as others do, but let us continue to watch …

It is with mixed feelings that 119 acknowledges that the seemingly compelling data points brought forth in the teaching ‘Daniel Unsealed’ resulted in no substantial and quantifiable edifying value.

From the beginning, we admitted that possibility, and firmly stated that ‘Daniel Unsealed’ was either one of 119’s most important teachings, or the least important. We are sad to say that reality proves that it was 119’s least important teachings.

This by no means reflects negatively on our Creator. He is in control of all things, and though His prophecy is perfect, those that make every humble attempt to interpret it are by no means perfect, including us. We pray that this does not reflect negatively on 119 Ministries, though we understand that there will be those that consider this as a mark against 119 Ministries. For those that share that sentiment, we apologize deeply for any disappointment or frustration that may have resulted from our decision to share what we considered to be a prophetic possibility.

Residents Unnerved After The Earth Shakes Beneath South Jersey, ‘We Still Don’t Know Exactly What Caused It’

NBC40 – “SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY – Just after 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon residents in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties say they felt multiple earthquake-like tremors that rattled their homes and offices.

Absecon resident, Kay Stadlmeir, said, ‘I don’t think it would be an earthquake, but what could it be? It’s just really odd.’ Somers Point resident, Bob Mower, explained, ‘There was a rattling of my windows and I felt the house shake just a little bit – it was unusual.’ Stadlmeir told NBC40, ‘It has to be something really big to be witnessed in such a widespread area of South Jersey.’

The reports vary from region to region.

Atlantic county emergency management officials confirmed with the U.S. Geological Survey that it was not an earthquake. The next thought was that military training or an aircraft flying by might have caused the shakes.

Both the 177th Fighter Wing in Egg Harbor Township and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst confirmed none of their aircrafts were in the area at that time.

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is still working to confirm whether or not any ground training was happening at the time, although it is unlikely that would cause such a widespread shake.

Stadlmeir said, ‘I really don’t think it’s a sonic boom because, you know as I said before, I’ve experienced them before and this is nothing like that.’ Mower told NBC40, ‘That was real unusual. I almost wondered if I was dreaming on that one.'” Read more.

Report: Colorado’s ‘Dark Knight’ Killer James Holmes Converts To Islam, ‘Is Now A Muslim Who Prays Five Times A Day’

Say what? Like any conversion, it can often be a process that takes place over time. If this report is true, it begs the question of whether or not James Holmes was inspired by and/or was having radical Islamic proclivities during his murderous rampage in July 2012. At any rate, it seems that he is now using his “new-found faith” to JUSTIFY his mass slaughter of innocent “infidels” …

Daily Mail Reporter – “James Holmes, the gunman behind the Dark Knight massacre in Colorado last July, has reportedly turned Muslim and prays five times a day.

The killer showed off a lengthy, thick beard during a court appearance earlier this month, and a prison source has claimed it is a symbol of his new-found faith.

The source said Holmes has turned to Islam as a way of justifying his horrific murder spree in an Aurora, Colorado cinema on July 20 which left 12 people dead and 58 people wounded.

‘He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,’ a prison source told the National Enquirer.

He now prays five times a day, sticks to a strict Muslim diet and spends hours each day studying the Qur’an, the source said. But his new routine has upset Muslim inmates.

‘None of them condone forms of terrorism or extremism,’ the source added. ‘And they don’t want their religion to be connected to that awful shooting.’

Holmes sported a thick, bushy beard and unkempt dark brown hair during his appearance earlier this month – a stark difference to his bright orange hair at the time of the massacre.

Holmes is charged with 166 counts, mostly murder and attempted murder, in the assault on moviegoers at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora.” Read more.

US: Homeland ‘Security’ To Extend ‘Trusted Traveler’ Status To Citizens Of Saudi Arabia (That Still Actively Promotes Islamic Terror)

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace and the spiritual homestead of Islam and Islamic extremism. Does it make any logical sense whatsoever to believe that the number one country still actively encouraging world-wide Islamic terror will all of a sudden change the hearts and minds of “closet radicals” into never again thinking about taking advantage of America’s accommodating position on Islam and its politically correct security apparatus? With 80% of all mosques in America today teaching violent jihad and Islamic supremacy (while often issuing words of peace and brotherly love publicly) we’re already seeing the fruit produced, with hundreds of thousands of American Muslims believing that anyone mocking Islam should be put to death, not to mention a substantial increase in homegrown Islamic terror during Obama’s Presidency or global terrorism in general since 9/11. And this is something that isn’t going to change any time soon regardless of the so-called “bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” …

InsecurityFox News – “A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give ‘trusted traveler’ status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday on the under-the-radar announcement — which was first made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking people for entry into the United States.

‘I think you have radical Wahhabism in certain elements in Saudi Arabia, and I think to be more lenient there than in other places would be a mistake,’ Rep. Frank Wolf told the Investigative Project on Terrorism. ‘There were 15 [hijackers] from that country, and there is a lot taking place in that region.’

Only an exclusive handful of countries enjoy inclusion in the Global Entry program — Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the Netherlands. According to the IPT, some officials are questioning why Saudi Arabia gets to reap the benefits of the program, when key U.S. allies like Germany and France are not enrolled; Israel has reached a deal with the U.S., but that partnership has not yet been implemented.

Any Saudi travelers cleared through the program will be able to bypass the normal customs line after providing passports and fingerprints. The status lasts for five years.

The decision is a turnaround, the IPT notes, from when Saudi Arabia was briefly placed on a list of countries whose U.S.-bound travelers would face higher scrutiny, in the wake of the failed Christmas Day bombing attempt in 2009.

But Napolitano spoke highly of ‘the bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’ when she announced the change in January.

‘By enhancing collaboration with the government of Saudi Arabia, we reaffirm our commitment to more effectively secure our two countries against evolving threats while facilitating legitimate trade and travel,’ Napolitano said.” Read more.

“Our history is replete with lies… [including] the lie about Al-Qaeda and the September 11 events, which asserted that Muslim terrorists committed it, and that it was not an internal American action by the Freemasons.”

The op-ed further implies that Hitler was greater than both Churchill and Roosevelt, who were ‘alcoholics’:

“Churchill and Roosevelt were alcoholics, and in their youth were questioned more than once about brawls they started in bars, while Hitler hated alcohol and was not addicted to it. He used to go to sleep early and wake up early, and was very organized. These facts have been turned upside down as well, and Satan has been dressed with angels’ wings.”

The PA daily op-ed further asserts that negative attitudes toward Nazism are not objective but the result of the West’s victory:

Ahead Of Trip, Obama’s Middle East Map Erases Israeli Territory And Implies That Jerusalem Does Not Belong To Israel

The Washington Free Beacon – “The map of the Middle East displayed in an Obama administration video released days before President Barack Obama’s visit to Israel shows the Jewish state dispossessed of substantial parts of its current territory, including its capital.

The map of Israel, displayed repeatedly during the video, shows the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, northern Israel, and areas surrounding what is currently the West Bank as non-Israeli territory. The Golan Heights is shown as part of Syria; Jerusalem is shown as part of the West Bank; and northern Israel is shown as part of Lebanon.

The itinerary on the White House website also implies that Jerusalem is neither Israel’s capital nor even part of Israel.

The president’s schedule lists two stops in ‘Tel Aviv, Israel’ and one in ‘Amman, Jordan’ but his activities in Israel’s capital city are identified as taking place only in ‘Jerusalem’ — with no country name attached. Former Knesset Member: Obama’s Knesset Snub ‘Worrying’ – “Former Knesset Speaker MK Reuven Rivlin expressed concern Tuesday over United States President Barack Obama’s decision not to speak in Knesset during his visit to Israel this week. Ynet News: Barack Obama To Travel Jerusalem In ‘The Beast’

By Yitzhak Benhorin, Ynet News – “WASHINGTON – United States President Barack Obama ‘s security team is taking no chances: During the presidential visit in Israel which begins next Wednesday, the president will ride around Jerusalem in The Beast, the aptly named tank-turned-car, a rolling fortress.

Obama’s motorcade will include two such vehicles – each costing $300,000 – driving around between a huge entourage of uniformed and undercover security men.

Though the American people have a historical affinity to seeing their presidents out in the open waving from horse drawn carriages and convertible limousines, these preferences were sadly laid aside following John Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.

The Beast, the latest and the most significant change in presidential security procedures, was revealed at Obama’s first inauguration in 2008, when upon seeing it, the president remarked on its similarity to a Boeing airplane.

The car is sealed and protected from chemical and biological weapons. The windows are bullet-proof, and its doors are an alloy of steel, aluminum, titanium and porcelain – proof against roadside-charges and rocket fire.

In addition, the gas tank is armored; the bumpers are equipped with night-vision sensors, cameras and devices to launch tear-gas.

The tires can still function if punctured, and, better safe than sorry, the trunk is filled with oxygen tanks, emergency blood units and fire-fighting equipment.

But this only covers the president’s car.

On his visit to Israel, Obama will be secured by 5,000 police officers wherever he goes, and joint scenarios with the American Secret Service have been exercised simulating threats varying from an attempted assassination to general disruptions of order.

‘This is a 48 hour visit but the preparations have been going on for more than a month,’ Police Head of Operations Brigadier General Nissim Mor told Ynet.

CPAC Speakers Warn Of Loss Of Religious Freedom In America, Sees ‘Disturbing Parallels’ Between 1930’s Germany And America Today

By Napp Nazworth, Christian Post Reporter – “Ben Carson and Eric Metaxas, who both gained notoriety for their speeches at a National Prayer Breakfast, appeared together Saturday and warned about a loss of religious freedom, at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Md.

The controversy over the Obama administration’s birth control mandate is about religious freedom, not contraception, Metaxas argued.

Paraphrasing how he views the government’s position, Metaxas said, ‘We will force you to violate your conscience. Why? Because we can. We have the power and you Catholics are just the backward religious minority.’

Metaxas’ most recent book is a biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Christian theologian who opposed Hitler during Nazi Germany.
