Gigantic, Softball-Sized Hail Expected to Rain Down on Midwest, South This Weekend
By Jeremy A. Kaplan, FOX News – “Questions about the incredible images of ping-pong ball sized stones forming a four-foot deep wall on the Texas panhandle were answered Friday when the National Weather Service declared them legitimate — with a warning that you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Baseball- or even softball-sized hail could hit the South this weekend, NWS officials warned Friday.
‘I do think we’ll see larger hail over the next couple days,’ Justyn Jackson, a meteorologist with the Amarillo, Tex., Weather Forecast Office, told FoxNews.com. ‘It’s possible that we could maybe see baseball-sized hail, maybe even softball-sized. That’s not out of the realm of possibility.’
‘We think it’s going to be east of our area — Oklahoma, Kansas, those areas,’ Jackson said.
Images posted on the NWS Facebook page late Thursday showed some of the six scientists and meteorologists sent to the sparsely populated region of Potter County, where hailstones the size of golf balls or ping-pong balls fell following a severe and slow moving thunderstorm that drifted over the Texas panhandle.
The National Weather Service estimated that in 2 hours in the late afternoon, 5 to 6 inches of rain fell in a very small area in Northern Potter County, 26 miles north of Amarillo.
‘We had a slow moving thunderstorm develop about 20 miles northwest of Amarillo that parked itself over the northern part of Potter County — it produced quite a bit of hail,’ Jackson said.
One picture showed a Potter County fireman standing near what appears to be a giant gray boulder, about shoulder height — actually a block of ice compacted by rain and floodwater across the area.
‘Hail … up to the size of golfballs fell with the heavy rain,’ the Weather Service said in an advisory. More severe even than golfballs falling from the sky was the runoff from the heavy rains, which pushed the hail into three to four foot drifts across U.S. Highway 287 — closing the route for over 12 hours due to flooding.” Read more.

The West has generally been considered a safe place for Jews and Christians, but if immigration officials get their way in some Western nations, it seems to me that the persecuted people of God might want to reconsider Sweden as one of those prepared places. Apparently, there’s another woman that some Western officials seem to be more interested in …
Mohabat News – “After the immigration office of Sweden decided to deport Iranian asylum seekers, among whom are some Iranian Christians, a number of Human Rights and political activists made numerous efforts to prevent this from happening. Among these efforts we can mention the Federation of Iranian refugees held a demonstration in Sweden (Feb. 13) to protest the deportation verdict of one asylum seeker and the arrest of another refugee, as well as the presentation of a statement by four Human Rights activists to the Swedish immigration office.
In this statement it was written that “we are four Iranian Human Rights activists who object to the racist politics of the Swedish government towards the asylum seeker’s community and strongly condemn the deportation of Mohammad-Reza Hamedi on February 15, 2012. We call on the immigration office of this country to immediately release asylum seekers including Mohammad-Ali Hodaei and Yasin Elyasi. They pleaded with this office to show a more humanitarian behavior towards these people.” Read more.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide has reported that 11 Iranian Christians who fled Iran in the wake of a government campaign against Christianity have received threats via email to ‘repent’ or face extrajudicial execution, from a group identifying itself as the ‘The Unknown Soldiers of The Hidden Imam.’ The threatening emails that were sent to each individual on Sept. 14 aspired to extend the arm of Iranian Islamic militancy beyond the borders of Iran by implying that, although the recipients have left Iran, they have not escaped the ‘acute eyes of the unknown soldiers.’” Read more.
Kim Jong-stun: North Korea’s Rocket Launch Ends in Failure
FOX News – “North Korea’s attempt Friday to launch a rocket has failed, according to U.S. officials.
A senior U.S. official who is receiving updates from U.S. military launch observers tells Fox News the rocket broke apart between 90 seconds and 2 minutes after launching.
Data suggests the rocket broke up in mid-flight inside the Earth’s atmosphere. Officials tell Fox News the rocket did not fall into any populated areas, suggesting it fell into the ocean.
The rocket likely broke apart between the first and second stages of a three phase process.
A 2009 attempt by North Korea to launch a rocket also failed during its third stage.
Japan’s Defense Minister Naiki Tanaka said, ‘We have confirmed that a certain flying object has been launched and fell after flying for just over a minute.’ He did not say what exactly was launched.
He said there was no impact on Japanese territory from the launch.
In Pyongyang, there was no word about a launch, and state television was broadcasting video for popular folk tunes. North Korean officials said they would make an announcement about the launch ‘soon.’
North Korea had earlier announced it would send a three-stage rocket mounted with a satellite as part of celebrations honoring national founder Kim Il Sung, whose 100th birthday is being celebrated Sunday.” Read more.
US Military Stocking Up On a Massive Amount of Anti-Radiation Pills In Preparation for Nuclear Fallout
The Intel Hub – “The US Military is currently seeking a large amount of potassium iodide, this according to a listing on the FBO.gov website by the Defense Logistics Agency.
In the listing it is made clear that they want to be ready in the event of nuclear fallout which has lead many to speculate that this could be in response to the Fukushima nuclear disaster or perhaps in anticipation for an attack on an active Iranian nuclear facility.
The DLA is apparently looking for upwards of 400,000 dollars worth of the thyroid protecting tablets at a time when many government officials have openly told American citizens NOT to buy potassium iodide.
In an article published by Business Insider on March 10th, some of the possibilities as to why this order has been put in were explored.
The U.S. has bought potassium iodide tablets in the past, and is now looking ahead to scenarios, possibly spurred by last year’s Fukushima crisis.
As the federal solicitation is quick to point out, “The recent earthquake in Japan in March of 2011 and the resultant nuclear crisis has renewed interest in this item.”
Of course, potassium iodide would also come in handy if there were to be an airstrike against a target laden will nuclear material, say, like the sites in Iran. One of the big concerns surrounding the practical devastation of those nuclear facilities is the radiation it will unleash into the surroundings.
Destroying one of the most likely Iranian targets, the 1000-megawatt Bushehr nuclear plant, would create just such a concern.”

Reuters – “PITTSBURGH — As weather disasters strike with more frequency, homeowners first get hit with the destruction or total loss of property. Many are then hit with the unexpected loss of homeowners insurance policies as insurance companies re-evaluate their financial liabilities.
After a tornado ripped through Springfield, Massachusetts, last year, R. Paula Lazzari’s home was badly damaged. The retired teacher found broken windows, missing siding and a damaged roof. Her insurer offered to fund repairs for one broken window and some of the siding. It took nine months — and mediation services from an independent adjuster and the Massachusetts Division of Insurance — to get her bills paid, according to the parties involved.
In this era of unpredictable weather patterns, Lazzari’s case is not unique. Insurance companies are raising rates, cutting coverage, balking at some payouts and generally shifting more expense and liability to homeowners, according to reports from the industry and its critics.
‘Insurance companies have significantly and methodically decreased their financial responsibility for weather catastrophes like hurricanes, tornados and floods in recent years,’ the Consumer Federation of America said in a statement after studying industry data.
The industry concedes that it is trying to avoid getting trounced by those same punishing weather patterns.
‘Last year (2011) was an extraordinary year for natural disasters,’ said Michael Barry of the Insurance Information Institute (III), an industry trade group.” Read more.

According to NASA, 30 years of observations show that there’s a consistent uptick in the number of fireballs — meteors that glow brighter than the planets as they scorch through Earth’s atmosphere — during the spring compared with other times of the year. ‘There are two peaks: one around February and the other at the end of March and early April,’ said Bill Cooke, head of NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office. ‘And this remains a mystery.’
The Texas event was bright enough to have corresponded to the atmospheric burnup of a space rock at least a yard across, Cooke told Life’s Little Mysteries, a sister site to SPACE.com. But no one knows why springtime meteors are 10 to 30 percent more common. ‘I can tell you a lot of the bright and slow fireballs appear to be coming from the direction opposite the sun, but they have not much in common other than that,’ he said. ‘You see a lot more ordinary meteors in the fall, but the spring seems to have the big slow movers — the ones that are really impressive.’
To tackle the mystery, Cooke and his NASA colleagues have set up a network of ‘smart meteor cameras’ around the United States that they use to triangulate the trajectories of meteors, pinning down their positions to within the area of a football field as they enter the atmosphere. This has enabled the scientists to map the origins of falling space rocks from different parts of the sky.” Read more.
One Step Forward: Jews Beginning To Reclaim Jesus As One Of Their Own, ‘I’m Jealous Of Christians’

It is a good thing, perhaps prophetic, to begin seeing the Jewish people taking one step forward to at least examine the person and teachings of Yeshua. The fullness of the Gentiles is at hand. As his followers’ message swept the ancient world, Jews who did not accept Jesus as the Messiah found themselves in the uncomfortable, and sometimes dangerous, position of being blamed for his death.
Mainstream Christian theology’s position held that Judaism had been supplanted, the Jewish covenant with the divine no longer valid, because of the incarnation of God as Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.
Jews, for their part, tended largely to ignore Jesus.
That’s changing now.
In the past year, a spate of Jewish authors, from the popular to the rabbinic to the scholarly, have wrestled with what Jews should think about Jesus.
And overwhelmingly, they are coming up with positive answers, urging their fellow Jews to learn about Jesus, understand him and claim him as one of their own.
‘Jesus is a Jew. He spent his life talking to other Jews,’ said Amy-Jill Levine, co-editor of the recently released ‘Jewish Annotated New Testament.’
‘In reading the New Testament, I am often inspired, I am intrigued. I actually find myself becoming a better Jew because I become better informed about my own history,’ she said.
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, a media personality who recently launched a bid for a U.S. House seat, argues in his own new book, ‘Kosher Jesus,’ that ‘Jews have much to learn from Jesus – and from Christianity as a whole – without accepting Jesus’ divinity. There are many reasons for accepting Jesus as a man of great wisdom, beautiful ethical teachings, and profound Jewish patriotism.’
And Benyamin Cohen, an Orthodox Jew who spent a recent year going to church, admitted that he’s jealous that Christians have Jesus.
‘He’s a tangible icon that everybody can latch on to. Judaism doesn’t have a superhero like that,’ said Cohen, the author of the 2009 book ‘My Jesus Year.’
‘I’m not advocating for Moses dolls,’ he said, but he argued that ‘it’s hard to believe in a God you can’t see. I’m jealous of Christians in that regard, that they have this physical manifestation of the divine that they can pray to.'” Read more.
Tunisia: Two Men Sentenced to 7.5-Years in Prison for Insulting Islam, Tunisian President Supports Conviction
AP – “Tunis: Two men have been convicted and sentenced to prison in Tunisia for posting on Facebook images of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), a court decision that drew support on Friday from the presidency of this once staunchly secular country.
Jaber Majeri and Gazi Jribi were convicted on March 28 by a Tunisian court for ‘insulting the sacred’ after they posted images of the Prophet with one of his wives, Aisha. They were each sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and fined $800 (Dh2,940).
The verdict, which was made public on Thursday, has been condemned by some as an attack on freedom of expression and a mark of the rising tide of religious conservatism in the country since a popular uprising ousted a dictator a year ago.
Since the fall of Zine Al Abidine Bin Ali, a moderate Islamist party Al Nahada won elections in October but has promised not to enshrine Islamic law in the new constitution. That has put it at odds with a vocal minority of Salafis.” Read more.

Michigan: Judge Slaps Dearborn with Restraining Order in Terry Jones Case
If Terry Jones wishes to protest against the hatred and anti-Semitism of Islam in front of one of the largest mosques in America, the First Amendment gives him every right to do so. The Islamists of Dearborn, of course, want nothing more than to shut down the First Amendment when it comes to those who are critical of Mohammed and the teachings of Islam, but have absolutely no qualms taking advantage of it when it suits them. US Constitution: 1, Sharia Law: 0. At least in this case. For now. Hopefully, however, Jones and others will not resort to burning the Qur’an again. Although protected by the First Amendment, it is unnecessary, unproductive and serves to do nothing other than draw attention away from the real issue: the hatred, racism, supremacy, sexual immorality and bigotry taught by the ‘prophet’ of Islam …
By J. Patrick Pepper – “DETROIT — A federal judge sided with Terry Jones Thursday and granted a temporary restraining order against the city of Dearborn.
Calling it ‘clearly unconstitutional,’ U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood blasted the city’s demand that Jones and his supporters sign a hold-harmless agreement in order to obtain a permit to speak against Islam in front of Dearborn’s Islamic Center of America.
City attorneys had argued previously that the requirement is standard for any special event. Generally, a hold-harmless agreement would absolve the city of liability for anything that happens during a special event with the terms and conditions subject to the legal department’s discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Hood took particular exception to the last part.
‘It is well recognized that an ordinance which grants an administrative body or government official unfettered discretion to regulate the licensing of activities protected by the First Amendment is unconstitutional,’ she wrote in her order.
Jones, whose presence nearly led to a riot last time he demonstrated in Dearborn, now will be able to hold his event without the agreement. Jones’ attorneys with the Thomas More Law Center said the city dropped the requirement for the hold-harmless agreement just minutes before Hood filed her opinion.” Read more.

The Christian Era In The Middle East Is Over, ‘Will Be Completely Green, The Colour Of Islam’
Revelation 6:8, “And I looked, and behold a chlōros [green] horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the thērion [brutal, savage men] of the earth.”
In Revelation 6:8 John describes the “fourth horseman of the Apocalypse” as being “chlōros”, literally translated as “green”. Green is the official color of Islam and is believed to have been Mohammed’s favorite. The “fourth horseman” is described as having power over the fourth part of the earth. I don’t believe that it is a mere coincidence that Islam today has dominion over a fourth part of the earth. John describes the “fourth horseman” as having the power to “kill with sword.” Islam is spread through Jihad, the “Sword of Islam.” The “fourth horseman” also kills with hunger/famine. Spiritual destitution aside, Islamists would even prefer to see children starve to death than have them receive life-saving aid from the “Christian West.” The “fourth horseman” kills with “death”, and the love of death in suicide and martyrdom operations against men, women and children for the cause of “Allah” permeates Islamic culture, so much that they openly declare to “love death more than you love life.” Lastly, the “fourth horseman” is described as killing with “the beasts of the earth.” The Greek word “thērion” here is, I believe, being used metaphorically to refer to “savage”, “brutal” and “bestial” men, a perfect description of what we see today in the radical world of Islam’s death seekers …

Israel has become the only safe haven for Christians in the Middle East, Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, wrote in a recent op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal.
‘As 800,000 Jews were once expelled from Arab countries, so are Christians being forced from lands they’ve inhabited for centuries’, Ambassador Oren stated, comparing the expulsion of Jews after the establishment of the state of Israel with the Arab countries’ current treatment of their Christian minorities.
The numbers are telling. Today there is only one Middle Eastern country where the number of Christians has grown: Israel. As documented in the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, the Christian community that numbered 34,000 people in 1949 is now 163,000-strong, and will reach 187,000 in 2020.
In the rest of the Middle East, the drive for Islamic purity is going to banish all traces of pre-Islamic pasts. When the Islamists will have prevailed, the Middle East will be completely green, the colour of Islam.” Read more.
