Yes, the Islamists that plan to eradicate Christianity, the masses that riot and murder over burnt Qur’ans, the mobs that desecrate non-Muslim graves, burn down churches, attack Christians homes, destroy Christian businesses, the Muslim Brotherhood that vows to kill all Jews, the stadium of soccer spectators that cries out in unison for a new holocaust, the call by Iran’s leadership and the masses to destroy Israel and annihilate the Jews, the overall Christian Persecution that is ‘coursing through Muslim-majority nations from one end of the globe to the other’, yes, this is merely the tiny minority. We cannot hear the outcry of the majority, simply because their silence is so deafening …

By David Trifunov – “Shiite extremists are reportedly attacking and killing ’emo’ teens in poor Iraq neighborhoods, where some say as many as 90 young people have been stoned to death.

The Daily Mail said students with long hair and piercings who wear tight-fitting clothes are targeted.

Brussells Tribunal representative Hana al-Bayaty said ‘between 90 and 100’ teens have died.

‘What’s most disturbing about this is that they’re so young,’ she told The Daily Mail.

The Brussells Tribunal is a non-governmental organization that reports on Iraq.

Reuters is reporting 14 deaths around Baghdad.

Quoting a doctor in Iraq, the bodies of young people have arrived at hospitals and morgues in the last month.

‘Last week, I signed the death certificates of three of those young people, and the reason for death I wrote in my own hand was severe skull fractures,’ one doctor in al-Kindi said. ‘A very powerful blow to the head caused these fractures which totally smashed the skull of the victim.’

By Madeleine Morgenstern – “The Nation of Islam’s official newspaper The Final Call on Saturday published an opinion piece attacking ‘minion of the synagogue of Satan’ Glenn Beck for his recent comments about Louis Farrakhan, vowing it will ‘not allow such vicious assaults’ on the movement’s leader.

During his radio show Feb. 27, Beck discussed Farrakhan’s warning that racial hatred could lead to an attempt on President Barack Obama’s life, even suggesting that a Muslim could be set up to kill him. Beck wondered whether the warning could be a kind of set up to draw attention from Farrakhan and his followers — Farrakhan in the past has called Obama a ‘murderer’ and ‘assassin.’

‘I’m telling you this is a clear and present danger to the president of the United States,’ Beck said. ‘Will someone in the Secret Service or DOJ investigate what is happening at the Nation of Islam?’

Responding to Beck’s comments, Abdul Arif Muhammad — identified as the Nation of Islam’s general counsel — said he ‘maliciously attacked not only the good name, reputation, integrity, and character of Minister Farrakhan, but also the over half century of redemptive work he has accomplished.’ …

‘We will not allow such vicious assaults on Minister Farrakhan, a man whose prescient and consistent warnings could save this country,’ Muhammad said. ‘We will and must continue to respond to ‘anti-Farrakhan’ attacks. He deserves and has earned the right to be defended.'” Read more.

Here’s an update on this story about a journalist from Saudi Arabia who, confused and disillusioned by the prophet Mohammed, decided to tweet about it. Apparently the “Qur’anic Cure” had no effect, but the specter of death by beheading did wonders for the muddled mind. No word, however, on whether or not the god of Islam has decided to forgive the repentant writer. According to the religious leaders in Saudi Arabia, Allah may be “the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”, but only as long as you always keep your head on straight. Otherwise, you might just lose it …

“An apostate Saudi journalist who is believed to be facing execution for insulting Prophet Mohammed … has repented at court and this means reduced sentence.

According to the Arabic language daily Sharq, Hamza Kashgari declared his repentance before the judge at the court in Riyadh.

‘Kashgari declared his repentance and expressed regret for offending the Prophet … this means he will face a light sentence,’ the paper said, citing Kashgari relatives.

The 23-year-old man, who works for Albilad Arabic language daily, fled to Malaysia last month after King Abdullah ordered his arrest on charges of apostasy in an article he wrote on Twitter. A few days later, he was deported to the Kingdom and arrested on arrival.

Speculation mounted after his arrest that Kashgari could be executed following statements by a senior Saudi Muslim cleric that the writer would be sentenced to death for apostasy.

Sheikh Saleh bin Fowzan Al Fowzan, a member of the 7-man supreme committee of scholars in Saudi Arabia, said it has been established in Islam that any one who insults God or the Prophet should be killed.

‘Repenting will not work…any man who insults [Allah] or our Prophet (PBUH) should be killed,’ he said. ‘But we should first verify that this man (Kashgari) did insult Prophet Mohammed in his article on Twitter…if verified, then he must be killed……many scholars and people are now demanding his execution.'” Source – Emirates 24/7.

“Afghanistan’s top religious council has said women should not mix with men in school, work or other aspects of daily life. The Ulema Council has also said that women should not travel without a male relative. The BBC’s Orla Guerin has been hearing reaction to the ruling from people in Kabul.

The comments by senior clerics – which have been welcomed by President Hamid Karzai – were included in a statement outlining the rights and duties of women under Islam.

Human Rights Watch says it is worrying that the Ulema Council has issued this statement, and that President Karzai has backed it.

The council says its comments are a request and a reminder, not an instruction. But critics say the statement is an echo of the Taliban.

Leading woman MP Fawzia Koofi – who survived a Taliban ambush two years ago – has no doubt what the statement means.

‘I think it’s the beginning of taking women back to the dark period of the Taliban,’ she told the BBC.

‘It’s dangerous. It’s an alarm for women in Afghanistan’.

‘We want to be free’

Campaigners believe the timing of the statement is no co-incidence. They say it is part of the president’s outreach to the Taliban.

In the push to do a peace deal with the insurgents, they fear the Afghan leader may be willing to sacrifice women’s rights.

‘It does look like President Karzai is trying to placate the Taliban as part of the negotiations,’ said Heather Barr, of Human Rights Watch.” Read more.

Spanish imam under investigation after calling on Muslims to ‘discipline’ misbehaving wives – “A Spanish imam near Barcelona is under investigation after allegedly calling on the faithful to ‘discipline’ errant wives using physical and psychological violence, police said on Tuesday. The imam in the city of Terrassa is under investigation for ‘disseminating discriminatory messages and violating the principle of equality and of women’s right to physical and moral integrity,’ police said in a statement… ‘He provided concrete examples of the manner in which wives should be beaten, how to isolate them inside the family home and how to deny them sexual relations,’ said the police, saying they had received testimony to the effect from numerous witnesses.” Read more.

“COSMOPOLIS, Wash. (AP) – The Muslim 11th-grader in northern Iraq approached her Christian teacher one day last fall and declared quietly, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ She’d been reading about Jesus and believed what she read, she explained, but her parents would never let her become a Christian.

The teacher, Jeremiah Small, responded in what those who knew him described as a characteristically thoughtful manner.

‘I encouraged her to consider what she had read and explained that it wasn’t my place to tell her to be a Christian,’ he wrote in an email to friends that day, asking them to pray for her conversion. ‘Keep reading and let the object of your faith take shape and its character be proven.’

Small, of Cosmopolis in southwestern Washington, was shot to death Thursday at the Classical School of the Medes, a private Christian academy in the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniyah, in Iraq’s most peaceful region. The gunman, an 18-year-old, then shot himself in the head as other students scattered from the room.

No motive was evident; students reported that a brief quarrel preceded the shooting, but the cause was unclear.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Servant Group International, which employed him, said it was stunned. Small had taught history and literature at the school since 2005, returning year after year because of the changes and hope he saw in the lives of his students, the organization said in a news release.

‘He was a beloved teacher and friend,’ the statement said. ‘His love for his students extended beyond the classroom, and he regularly led hiking trips, camping trips and other outdoor activities with the students.’

Small was the eldest of seven siblings from a deeply religious family. His parents, Dan and Rebecca, ran the Shiloh Bible Camp in Cosmopolis for about a decade. Dan Small confirmed his son’s death on his Facebook page, writing, ‘Our oldest, Jeremiah was martyred in Kurdistan this a.m.,’ though it wasn’t clear if there was a religious motive for the killing.

Jeff Dokkestul, a board member at Servant Group International, insisted that the purpose of the three Medes schools in the region is to provide a classical education – not to proselytize to the students, who are overwhelmingly Muslim. His organization provides some of the curriculum and teachers, he said.

Because it was “evil”, and we all know how much radical Islamists hate “evil” things, especially when they’re “inhumane” and “savage.” Given the history of the Obama Administration, don’t be surprised if senior advisers to the President begin urging him to call the Afghan clerics to apologize for the apology. By Hamid Shalizi – “(Reuters) – Senior Afghan clerics said on Friday the burning of Korans at a NATO base last month was an ‘evil act’ that must be punished, a demand that could deepen widespread public anger over the incident.

‘The council strongly condemns this crime and inhumane, savage act by American troops by desecrating holy Korans,’ members of a council of clerics said after meeting President Hamid Karzai, according to a statement issued by his office.

‘The council emphasized that the apology for this evil act can never be accepted. Those who committed this crime must be publicly tried and punished.’

Despite apologies from President Barack Obama and other senior U.S. officials, the desecration of the Korans at Bagram air base ignited a wave of anti-Western fury across Afghanistan, including protests that killed 30 people.

The Koran burnings are a setback to the Western campaign to win the hearts and minds of Afghans in order to weaken the Taliban and force the Muslim militant group to negotiate an end to the war now in its 11th year.

A joint investigation, conducted by U.S. military officials and members of the Karzai government, has concluded that five U.S. soldiers were involved in the incident on a NATO military base, officials said on condition of anonymity.

But the joint probe of the incident, one of three being conducted, did not provide specific recommendations on possible disciplinary action the soldiers might face, the officials said.

A separate U.S. Army probe, which has not yet been completed, may contain such recommendations.” Read more.

U.S. Ambassador Doesn’t Rule Out ‘Proceedings’ Against U.S. Troops Who Burned Qurans – “The U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan has not ruled out military proceedings against U.S. troops involved in the disposal of Qurans by burning them. ‘If there are to be proceedings, they are going to be U.S. proceedings under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) — and I don’t think there is any question or doubt on the part of the Afghan government that that is exactly how it’s going to go,’ Ryan Crocker told Fox News Wednesday night.” Read more.

The United Nations calls on the US military to punish the Qur’an burners for their ‘grave mistake’ – “Kabul – The United Nations joined Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday in calling on the US military to take disciplinary action against those who burned copies of the Qur’an at a NATO air base, calling the incident a ‘grave mistake’. Despite an apology from US President Barack Obama, the burning of the Muslim holy book at the Bagram base north of the capital ignited a wave of anti-Western fury across the country… ‘After the first step of a profound apology, there must be a second step … of disciplinary action,’ Jan Kubis, special representative for the UN secretary-general in Afghanistan, told a news conference.” Read more.

In Benghazi — the ‘symbolic seat of the revolution’ where the flag of Al Qaeda now flies — another symbolic act is speaking loud and clear: Tomorrow we’ll erase the Jews and the Christians, but today we’ll erase the memory of their dead. Maybe another apology from Obama is needed to really calm things down this time …

“Residents of the city of Benghazi in Libya were caught on film last Friday as they shattered tombstones of fallen British and Italian soldiers from World War II, most likely in retaliation for the Quran burnings at the NATO base in Afghanistan last week, which later led US President Barack Obama to issue a public apology.

The YouTube clip shows a group arriving at the cemetery and breaking off the crosses on the tombstones. One of the headstones had a Star of David on it, and while their target was retaliation against the Christian soldiers, it did not stop them from continuing in their destructive efforts.

One of them men is even overheard telling another: ‘Come see, there’s Israeli writing, Hebrew, on the tombstone.’

Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC) has already condemned the actions on the official council website.” Read more.
