‘Dhimmedia’ Presents a New Muslim ‘Reality’ Show That Is Anything But

08/04/2011 Leave a comment

By Raymond Ibrahim – “The American TV network TLC recently announced that it is making a reality series following the lives of Muslims living in America. The program—called ‘All American Muslim’—will follow five Muslim families in Dearborn, Michigan, hoping to expose the ‘misconceptions and conflicts’ they face ‘outside and within’ their own community…In a statement TLC’s general manager Amy Winter said:…’Through these families and their diverse experiences, we will explore how they blend their values and traditions with everyday life in America.’ She added the program would provide: ‘Insight into their culture with care and compassion.’

In other words, at a time when the need for objective knowledge concerning Islam is at a premium, many Americans are to be subliminally indoctrinated on what Islam is really about—not through Muslim theology or history, nor yet politics and current events—but rather by a ‘reality’ show of a handful of American Muslims.

One of TLC’s goals in airing this program is to show us ‘diversity’ in Islam: According to the network’s statement: ‘The families featured in the series share the same religion, but lead very distinct lives that oftentimes challenge the Muslim stereotype.’

For example, there is a girl that ‘sports piercings and tattoos’—as if the fact that a tattoo-wearing American female who identifies herself as a Muslim is supposed to tell us anything about Islam. Other characters are not so colorful, but are formulated simply to gain sympathy for Muslims: their claim to fame is that they are ‘trying to find the balance between their traditional Muslim roots and American culture,’ or working ‘tirelessly to educate … about the Muslim religion in an effort to reduce discrimination and ignorance.’

In short, through five families who supposedly represent a religion of over one billion, the show is dedicated to depicting Muslims as ‘just like us.’ Indeed, one might argue that these five families are not even representative of their own Muslim neighbors in Dearborn, chosen by the producers for having ‘one of America’s largest Muslim populations and has the largest mosque in North America.’

In fact, Dearborn is also a hotbed of Muslim extremism, where the FBI had a shoot-out in the streets with jihadists; where a former resident was indicted in a Hezbollah terror plot targeting Israel; where one American politician says Sharia law holds sway; and where a Christian preacher was threatened by shouts of ‘Allahu Akbar!’

Will these sorts of ‘diverse experiences’ find their way into the reality show?” Read more.

US Air Force Suspends Decades-Old Bible-Centric Ethics Training

08/03/2011 1 comment

DADT2 on the horizon? At this rate it’s only a matter of time before the US government places Christians serving in the military into their very own ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy …

By Bryant Jordan – “The Air Force has suspended decades-old Bible-centric ethics training intended to make Christian officers comfortable with the possible use of nuclear weapons. The training program was given to all new missile officers by Air Force chaplains.

‘We’re in the process of reviewing that training and we’ll make a determination whether or not to continue [it] or if it will be a different course,’ Air Education and Training Command spokesman Dave Smith told Military.com.

Smith said the ethics training has been in place more than 20 years, although he didn’t know exactly when it was begun.

The training slides include quotations from the Bible, portraits of Christian saints, prophets, and famous American generals known for their faith, including George Washington, Union Army Gen. Joshua Chamberlain, and Confederate Gen. Thomas ‘Stonewall’ Jackson.

Every new missile officer had to take the training at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, regardless of their own religious beliefs or lack of them, according to Smith.

AETC halted the ethics training last week after an article on the training was posted at Truthout.org. Former Air Force Capt. Damon Bosetti — described as a missile officer who took the training in 2006 — said he and others referred to the religious section of the ethics training as the ‘Jesus loves nukes speech.'” Read more.

Norwegian Killer Anders Breivik’s True Source of Inspiration

08/02/2011 Leave a comment

Danish psychologist Nicolai Sennels sums it up nicely by stating that the mass murder committed by Breiviks was not inspired by so-called ‘right-wing’ blogs critical of Islamism and Sharia.  Rather, this mad man’s blood lust was inspired by the numerous acts of Jihadi violence that preceded him …

By Nicolai Sennels – “Anders Breivik, the accused Norwegian mass murderer, claims that he found inspiration for his massacre in blogs focusing on Islam and Muslim immigration.

He did not. Breivik found inspiration in his own wretched interpretation of these blogs’ messages. Contrary to the Quran, for example, these blogs promote democracy and human rights, not murder and violent world revolution.

Breivik’s true inspiration is clear to everyone: The Lashkar-e-Taiba attack in Mumbai and Al-Qaeda’s massacres around the world. No wonder that so many newspapers initially stated that Norway had been hit by Islamists. And no wonder that Islamists were the only ones to call the tragedy ‘good news’.

Breivik’s interpretation of the Islam-critical blogs that he mentions in his manifesto is just as subjective and just as much a misunderstanding as the democratic and peaceful Muslims’ interpretation of their own religion.” Source.

Do You Speak Christian?

07/31/2011 Leave a comment

In the article below Episcopal theologian Marcus Borg is referring to a ‘pre-trib rapture’.  And he is correct.  It was never taught by the early church at all — and not until the mid 19th century — which is just one of the many reasons why I do not teach it.  But ‘the gathering’ (post-tribulational ‘rapture’ of the elect) is explicitly taught by not only Jesus and Paulbut even John

By John Blake – “Can you speak Christian?

Have you told anyone ‘I’m born again?’ Have you ‘walked the aisle’ to ‘pray the prayer?’

Did you ever ‘name and claim’ something and, after getting it, announce, ‘I’m highly blessed and favored?’

Many Americans are bilingual. They speak a secular language of sports talk, celebrity gossip and current events. But mention religion and some become armchair preachers who pepper their conversations with popular Christian words and trendy theological phrases.

If this is you, some Christian pastors and scholars have some bad news: You may not know what you’re talking about. They say that many contemporary Christians have become pious parrots. They constantly repeat Christian phrases that they don’t understand or distort.

Marcus Borg, an Episcopal theologian, calls this practice ‘speaking Christian.’ He says he heard so many people misusing terms such as ‘born again’ and ‘salvation’ that he wrote a book about the practice.

People who speak Christian aren’t just mangling religious terminology, he says. They’re also inventing counterfeit Christian terms such as ‘the rapture’ as if they were a part of essential church teaching.

The rapture, a phrase used to describe the sudden transport of true Christians to heaven while the rest of humanity is left behind to suffer, actually contradicts historic Christian teaching, Borg says.

‘The rapture is a recent invention. Nobody had thought of what is now known as the rapture until about 1850,’ says Borg, canon theologian at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.” Read more.

Toronto Sun: No Twisted Religion in Norway Tragedy

07/31/2011 Leave a comment

BY MICHAEL COREN – “Talk about exploitation of the innocents.

As soon as it was revealed Anders Behring Breivik was not a Muslim, and not part of some jihadist gang, the knives were out. Because, it was claimed, he was a fundamentalist Christian. Please!

The main photograph of the man used by the media showed him dressed as a freemason.

I know journalists are pretty dumb these days, but it doesn’t take a theologian to realize freemasonry is anathema to fundamentalist Christianity, as well as Roman Catholicism.

In his personal manifesto the killer wrote: ‘Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God.’

He also quoted various atheist philosophers when he posted on blogs, was supportive of the gay community, hadn’t attended church in 17 years, and seems to have had no connection to organized Christianity.

But that did not hold back the hysterical Christian-bashers out there.

The same happened, and still happens, with Timothy McVeigh. The Oklahoma killer was an atheist, who even in his final letter before execution screamed against God. No matter, he is still said to be a Christian.

Many of us assumed the Norway attack was the work of Islamic terrorists.

Actually, how could we not?” Read more.

Ohio: Church Web Sites Replaced by Muslim Hacker Pushing for Conversion to Islam

07/29/2011 Leave a comment

BY TYREL LINKHORN – “A computer hacker took control of more than a dozen church Web sites hosted by a Perrysburg designer this week, replacing their regular content with an appeal that Christians convert to Islam.

The Rev. Vinnie Dauer of Fallen Timbers Community Church in Waterville said he received a text message from a church member at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday telling him someone had posted ‘Muslim propaganda’ on the church’s Web site.

The cyber attack surprised church leaders there, who wondered why anyone would target their small congregation’s Web site.

‘It was unnerving, but I think also it was an indicator to me of the different world we live in,’ said Mr. Dauer, the assistant pastor at Fallen Timbers…

The hacker, who identified himself as a Muslim hacker and signed his work ‘Mr. HAiL,’ somehow gained access to Mr. Leisure’s entire portfolio of sites, though only the church sites were altered.

‘It seemed like he was clearly trying to convert people. I don’t see how he could actually be successful with this, but he was talking about Christians converting to Islam,’ Mr. Leisure said.” Read more.

Home Depot Co-founder Langone: ‘This President is Beyond Help’, Obama’s ‘Unpresidential’ Behavior Destroying Economy, Country

07/29/2011 Leave a comment

By Forrest Jones – “The United States will work its way through the debt ceiling crisis and probably avoid a default but President Barack Obama’s “unpresidential” behavior during the process has fueled division and suspicion to the extent that the damage of his actions will endure, says Home Depot co-founder and former New York Stock Exchange director Ken Langone.

‘He’s not bringing us together. He’s willfully dividing us. He’s petulant,’ Langone told CNBC.

‘This guy worked like hell to be president … Behave like a president. Let me look to you as a model of how we should behave. So what does he say: fat cats, jet airplanes, what’s the purpose?’

That purpose, Langone says is to divide the nation by accusing others of not doing their fair share to contribute to the country’s finances, said Langone, now chairman and CEO of investment bank Invemed Associates.

‘Divide us and we all lose. And this has got to stop. And if he’s listening, or one of his people are listening, and you can quote me exactly for what I say, he is not acting presidential, he is behaving in a way designed in my opinion to divide us and make us look at each other with skepticism, with suspicion. That’s the end of America as we know it when that happens.'” Read more.

July 18, 2011: Democratic Las Vegas Business CEO Steve Wynn Blasts Obama’s Failed Business Policies – “I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States. You watch television and see what’s going on on this debt ceiling issue. And what I consider to be a total lack of leadership from the President and nothing’s going to get fixed until the President himself steps up and wrangles both parties in Congress… And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right…” Read more.

Daniel Greenfield: Debunking 6 Myths About Anders Breivik

07/26/2011 Leave a comment

To all the leftist liberals who still have difficulty discerning fact from fiction, or who frequently struggle separating reality from fantasy, or who simply prefer to be willingly and continually encumbered by a chronic case of maladroit logic, please refrain from reading any further …

1. Anders Behring Breivik was a Fundamentalist Christian

Breivik described himself as not a religious person and mentions praying only once. His plans leading up to the attacks involved multiple visits to prostitutes. In one section of his manifesto he clarifies what he means by Christian.

Q: Do I have to believe in God or Jesus in order to become a Justiciar Knight?

no, you don’t need to have a personal relationship with God or Jesus to fight for our Christian cultural heritage. It is enough that you are a Christian-agnostic or a Christian-atheist (an atheist who wants to preserve at least the basics of the European Christian cultural legacy

Breivik did call himself a Christian, but meant that in a cultural sense, rather than a theological one. He emphasized that he was not seeking a theocracy, but a secular society. His idea of a Christian Europe had nothing to do with religion.

2. Anders Behring Breivik Hated Muslims

Breivik viewed Muslims as the enemy, but only domestically. He emphasized that; “Knights Templar do not intend to persecute devout Muslims”

And he contemplated collaborating with them on terrorist attacks against Europe. “An alliance with the Jihadists might prove beneficial to both parties… We both share one common goal.” The Caliphate was a useful enemy for his cause.

In Breivik’s own words, this is how such an arrangement would play out …” Read more.

Texas Lawmaker Calls for Congressional Probe Into Ban of Christian Prayers at Military Funerals

07/26/2011 Leave a comment

An update to this story.  I’ll believe Rep. Culberson over the Obama administration any day …

By Todd Starnes – “A Texas lawmaker is calling for a congressional investigation of the Houston National Cemetery after he went undercover and determined that cemetery officials are still preventing Christian prayers at the funerals of military veterans.

‘The Obama administration continues to try to prevent the word ‘God’ from being used at the funerals of our heroes,’ said. Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas).

‘It’s unacceptable and I’m going to put a stop to it as fast as humanly possible,’ Culberson told Fox News Radio. He attended a burial service at the cemetery undercover on July 8, when he says he witnessed volunteer members of the honor guard from the Veterans of Foreign Wars being prohibited from using any references to God.

‘The Obama administration had told the nation and me they were not interfering with the prayer said over the graves of veterans,’ he said. ‘And I went undercover to personally verify that claim.’ VA officials have strongly denied they’ve banned any religious speech – and have offered support for Arleen Ocasio, the cemetery’s director.” Read more.

Israel Palestinian Conflict: The Truth About the West Bank

07/25/2011 Leave a comment

Danny Ayalon: “Often on the news we hear the terms ‘Occupied Territories’, ’67 Borders’ and ‘Illegal Settlements.’  And the story we usually hear sounds very simple: During the Six-Day War Israel captured the West Bank from the Palestinians, refused the United Nation’s demand to retreat, and illegally built settlements.  But is that really the case?  Let’s try to understand the situation a little bit better …”

Keeping Them Honest: CNN’s Anderson Cooper is a Fraud

07/21/2011 2 comments

By Joel Richardson – “A few months ago, after appearing on the Glenn Beck show, I was admittedly a bit amused to watch the fallout unfold as the left-wing media from George Soros’ Media Matters to MSNBC’s Fonzie-esque Rachel Maddow dedicated their efforts to attack me.

I’ve never had a shred of confidence in such leftist media outlets, but I have to admit I was still quite shocked at the shamelessness with which these so-called reporters purposefully lie to their audiences.

For most observers of the daily news cycle, this is all simply par for the course. But until you yourself have been personally attacked and lied about in the national media, it’s hard to truly grasp how outright evil some of these people really are.

As far as the attacks against myself, I’ve never felt the need to respond. But when CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Drew Griffin aired an outright hatchet-job against my friend, Walid Shoebat, I knew I had to speak up.

To keep it simple, there were three primary accusations leveled against Walid, and all were completely bogus.

First, Cooper and Griffin made great efforts to infer that Walid was not actually using his foundation’s monies to help rescue persecuted Christians, as he claims. Both reporters concluded their show by whining that neither Walid nor his manager would reveal exactly how their monies were spent for this cause. When asked about this, Walid rightly responded by saying, ‘It’s none of your business.’

I would have said the same thing. These ‘gotcha’ reporters have proven themselves to be entirely unworthy of compliance. Griffin specifically was exposed by Bill O’Reilly as blatantly lying about Sarah Palin. And so, as the proverb of Jesus says, ‘Do not cast your pearls to the swine.'” Read more.

CNN SMEAR CAMPAIGN—THE MISSING FACTS: What Anderson Cooper did not know – “Anderson Cooper on CNN interviewed his investigative reporter Andrew Griffin regarding the credibility of Walid Shoebat advising Homeland Security. But what Anderson Cooper did not know during this interview were THE FACTS:

LIE #1: In Mr. Griffin’s article he wrote: ‘Neither Shoebat nor his business partner provided any proof of Shoebat’s involvement in terrorism, despite repeated requests’.

FACT: There were no repeated requests. What is damaging to CNN’s credibility is that we have all the email exchanges to prove that every request was answered and The Shoebat Foundation did respond to all of CNN’s emails and was even offered several documents including credible witnesses to validate Mr. Shoebat’s account…” Read more.

Obama’s Muslim Outreach: Epic Fail

07/20/2011 Leave a comment

By Mark Tapson – “When Barack Obama took over the Oval Office from George W. Bush in 2009, he was riding the crest of a tidal wave of gullibility among his supporters, who believed him to be the Chosen One bringing salvation and deliverance from the wasteland of the Bush years. In their fevered imagination, the inept, moronic, old-fashioned cowboy Bush had disastrously bungled his terms in office and caused the world to hate us. Now the multicultural, transnational, post-American demigod Obama had arrived, a deus ex machina from the heavens, offering hope and change to all. He was going to get the world to like us, really like us again.

But this self-delusional, media-assisted narrative has a tragicomic twist: two and a half years into his term, Obama not only hasn’t healed the oceans, harmonized the races, boosted the economy, or repaired our supposedly tattered reputation abroad, he has actually exacerbated all those issues. And now it’s confirmed that he hasn’t been any more successful at resolving the clash of civilizations either.

‘My job to the Muslim world,’ Obama said in his very first interview as President, for the Arabic-language network Al-Arabiya, ‘is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy.’ In that case, to quote from Cool Hand Luke, what we’ve got here is a failure to communicate. According to a stunning new poll of six Arab nations – Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia – by the nonpartisan Arab American Institute, the United States is viewed even less favorably in the Arab world today than it was during the final year of Bush’s administration.” Read more.
