Bible or Qur’an – What is the Difference?

Good video which looks at both the Bible and the Qur’an from an interesting perspective.  What I would add to it is this question:  Why should I, or any other Christian, give up a faith which I know guarantees me eternal life for another faith which tells me that I could never really know?

These views were expressed by President of Islamic Health Research Association, Dr. Muhammad Riaz while talking to APP.

Dr Riaz said since the Holy Quran is an enduring miracle of Allah Almighty, which provides cures for human illnesses, both mental and physical. He said a human being can lead a healthy and long life by following the teachings and tenets of Holy Quran.

Commenting on the miraculous effects of ‘Surah-e-Taha’, he said it could successfully cure deadly diseases especially liver cancer and Hepatitis-B and Hepatitis-C. He said one can have spiritual relief be reciting the Holy Quran.

Dr. Riaz, who also delivers lectures at literary conferences, educational institutions and some private television channels, said every patient can be treated through ‘Quran Therapy’ as Allah Almighty has declared it a source of ‘Shifa’ or remedy.

The verses of Holy Quran have useful effects on the heart and make an ailing person healthy, he added.

According to some Islamic researchers, ‘Surah-e-Rehman’ is useful to cure patients suffering from depression and anxiety.

It may be mentioned here that in view of increasing diseases and limited resources, a lot of people are looking to other means of cure alongside allopathic and homeopathic way of treatment.” Source – The News.

‘I No Longer Trust Fox News … I Never Said That’: Fox News Expert Denies He Claimed Birth Certificate Was Legitimate

By Jerome R. Corsi – “NEW YORK – The computer graphics expert Fox News relied upon to claim the birth certificate the White House released April 27 was legitimate insists that the network must retract the story, claiming it deliberately misquoted him and continues to ignore his repeated requests.

Jean Claude Tremblay told WND that that none of his comments would permit the conclusion that the Obama birth certificate is an authentic document.

‘I no longer trust Fox News,’ he said, expressing anger verging on disdain for the way he feels the network treated him. ‘Despite my protests, Fox News will not allow me to correct their story.’

The controversy traces to a Web story by Fox News reporter Jana Winter two days after the White House released the birth certificate, titled ‘Expert: No Doubt Obama’s Birth Certificate is Legit.’

Noting that Obama doubters were claiming the birth certificate was a fake, Winter wrote, ‘But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.’

‘I never said that,’ Tremblay insists. ‘Winter called me and talked to me for about five minutes on the telephone, and she never said she was going to quote me. Then she misrepresented what I said.'” Read more.

By Niall Ferguson – “… But since 2003, when Recep Tayyip Erdogan was elected prime minister, that has changed. The founder of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan is a seductive figure. To many, he is the personification of a moderate Islamism. He has presided over a period of unprecedented economic growth. He has sought to reduce the power of the military. It was no accident that one of President Obama’s first overseas trips was to Istanbul. It was no surprise when the AKP won a third consecutive general election earlier this month.

And yet we need to look more closely at Erdogan. For there is good reason to suspect he dreams of transforming Turkey in ways Suleiman the Magnificent would have admired.

In his early career as mayor of Istanbul, Erdogan was imprisoned for publicly reciting these lines by an early-20th-century Pan-Turkish poet: ‘The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, and the faithful our soldiers.’ His ambition, it seems clear, is to return to the pre-Atatürk era, when Turkey was not only militantly Muslim but also a regional superpower.

This explains his sustained campaign to alter the Turkish Constitution in ways that would likely increase his own power at the expense of the judiciary and the press as well as the military, all bastions of secularism. It explains his increasingly strident criticism of Israel’s ‘state terrorism’ in Gaza, where pro-Palestinian activists sent a headline-grabbing flotilla last year. Above all, it explains his adroit maneuvers to exploit the opportunities presented by the Arab Spring, chastising Syria, seeking to check Iran, and offering himself as a role model.” Read more.

Muslim Billboard Campaign That Declares Jesus a ‘Prophet of Islam’ Causes Outrage

“A provocative billboard advertising campaign launched by an Australian Muslim group claiming that Jesus was a prophet of Islam has outraged Christians in Sydney.

The group, Mypeace, says its aim is to inform, not to offend, with Islamic awareness campaign, featuring four different slogans.

But one Catholic bishop said the assertions – made on roadside hoardings – are ‘a direct assault on Christian beliefs’.

The slogans read ‘Jesus: A Prophet of Islam’; ‘Holy Qur’an: The Final Testament’; ‘Muhammad: Mercy to Mankind’; and ‘Islam: Got Questions? Get Answers’.

The posters invite people to get in touch by phone or online to obtain literature and a free copy of the Koran.

By Douglas Stanglin – “Fire and police teams say city policy and budget cuts are to blame for emergency teams watching from shore while a 52-year-old man apparently took his own life in the Bay Area surf near San Francisco on Memorial Day.

The San Jose Mercury News says Alameda police and firefighters responded quickly to a 911 call about an attempted suicide off Crown Beach, but firefighters could not enter the water because they are not trained in land/water rescue. Police stayed back because, they said, the victim, Raymond Zack, was suicidal and possibly violent.

Zack stood in the neck-deep water for nearly an hour — sometimes raising his arms above the surface — before he eventually floated away about 150 yards from shore, the newspaper reports.” Read more.

22-Page Criminal Complaint with the FBI Charges Obama Birth Record ‘Forged’; Kenyan National Intelligence Service Claims Obama Born in Kenya

By Jerome R. Corsi – “An international expert on scanners and document-imaging software filed a 22-page criminal complaint with the FBI, charging that the long-form birth certificate released by the White House is criminally fraudulent.

‘What the Obama administration released is a PDF image that they are trying to pass off as a Certificate of Live Birth Long Form printed on green security paper by the Hawaiian Health Department,’ Doug Vogt writes, ‘but this form is a created forgery.’

Vogt’s criminal complaint asserts: ‘I have irrefutably proven that the Certificate of Live Birth that President Obama presented to the world on April 27, 2011, is a fraudulently created document put together using the Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator programs, and the creation of this forgery of a public document constitutes a class B felony in Hawaii and multiple violations under U.S. Code section Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 47, Sec.1028, and therefore an impeachable offense.’

When the Obama birth certificate ‘forgery’ comes to the public’s attention, Vogt continues, ‘It will surpass the all previous scandals including the Watergate scandal of the Nixon administration.'” Read more.

Expert: Obama doc is ‘proof’ – of fraud – “Paul Irey, a retired professional typographer with 50 years experience in his business, says an analysis of the typefaces used in the Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate that the White House released on April 27 reveals it absolutely to be a forgery. ‘My analysis proves beyond a doubt that it would be impossible for the different letters that appear in the Obama birth certificate to have been typed by one typewriter,’ Irey told WND. ‘Typewriters in 1961 could not change the size and shape of a letter on the fly like that,” he said. “This document is definitely a forgery.'” Read more.

Palestinian Authority Continues to Deny Israel’s Right to Exist

Zechariah 12:1-3, “The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik – “The Palestinian Authority’s ideology is to refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist. The media it owns and controls regularly publish articles that demonize the modern State of Israel and its establishment as a “colonialist plan”.

Recently, the official PA daily went even further, not just maligning the modern State of Israel but also labeling the Jewish/Israelite presence in the land of Judea/Israel 2000 years ago as a “crude form of colonialism”.

Whereas Hamas openly denies Israel’s right to exist in both English and Arabic, the PA professes in English before the international community to have recognized Israel’s right to exist. As documented by Palestinian Media Watch, when addressing its own people in Arabic, the PA – like Hamas – completely denies Israel’s right to exist.

The following is the PA daily’s defining ancient Judea/Israel as ‘colonialism’:

‘The Zionists must acknowledge publicly, in front of the world, that the Jews have no connection to the Palestinian Arab land, upon whose ruins arose the colonialist settler Zionist plan that settles and expels, represented by the Israeli apartheid state. That which occurred two thousand years ago (i.e., the Jewish/Israeli presence in the land), assuming that it is true, represents in the book of history nothing more than invention and falsification and a coarse and crude form of colonialism.'[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 27, 2011]” Read more.

Palestinian President: There Will Be No Peace Talks With Israel; Arab League Panel to Seek UN Membership for ‘Palestine’– “DOHA – An Arab League committee decided on Saturday to seek full UN membership for a Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with east Jerusalem as its capital, it said in a statement. The Arab League’s peace process follow-up committee said it would request membership for the state of Palestine at the UN General Assembly’s meeting in New York in September.” Read more.
