Video: Extreme Weather, Earthquakes, Sinkholes, Landslides, Volcanoes, Animal Deaths, Signs In The Sun … In July Alone
Luke 21:10-11, “Then He said to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven …'”
The Greek word for “earthquakes” in Luke 21:11 is “seismos” and also means “commotion” or “tempest”, as in Matthew 8:24 when “suddenly a great tempest [seismos] arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves”. The earth has been shaken and will continue to be shaken by “seismic events” both literally (geophysical and hydrological hazards such as earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.) and figuratively (wars and rumors of war, terrorism, insurrections, revolutions), for in sin this world has fallen and, until the restoration of all things, the whole of creation will continue to groan and labor with birth pangs because of it (Romans 8:22) …
Large Chunk Of Sun Ripped Off, Heading Towards Earth At 2 Million Miles An Hour
Luke 21:25, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring …”
BY FOX NEWS INSIDER – “Scientists at NASA have released some incredible images revealing an enormous dark hole over our sun.
Corey Powell, Editor of Discover Magazine, joined Bill Hemmer on America’s Newsroom this morning to explain the giant black hole, and what it means for us here on Earth.
‘The reason it’s dark is that whole chunk of the sun basically ripped off, blew out and is coming our way at about two million miles an hour,’ said Powell.
Well, that doesn’t sound good. Powell explained that this phenomenon happens frequently, but we don’t often see something this large.
He said that when the chunk of the sun hits Earth, it would cause auroras, and would wiggle the magnetic field. The major concern would be potential disruptions to GPS signals and interference with communication satellites and power lines.” Source – Fox News Insider.
Lloyds Of London Warns Of Devastating Electro-Magnetic Pulse From The Sun – “Lloyd’s of London, the world’s specialist insurance company providing services to companies in more than 200 countries, has issued a dire warning of the potential consequences of an electromagnetic pulse event from a solar storm, according to report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin... ‘A severe space weather event that causes major disruption to the electricity network in North America could have major implications for the insurance industry,’ the study said. ‘The total U.S. population at risk of an extended outage from a Carrington-level storm ranges between 20-40 million with durations up to 1-2 years.'” Read more.
Expert: Something Massive Might Be ‘Tilting’ The Universe, But We Have No Idea What It Is
Psalms 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.”
Job 26:7, “He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.”
By Sarah Griffiths, Mail Online – “Space is a mysterious place and could contain unknown massive structures that act like ‘giant vacuum cleaners that suck galaxies towards them and tilt our universe’, according to one expert.
He points out that cocooned on our relatively comfortable planet, humans tend to think that we have quite a good notion of the laws of the universe.
He claims that we believe we live on a small planet orbiting the sun on the fringes of the Milky Way galaxy, which space enthusiast David Glenn dubs a ‘thoroughly unremarkable galaxy’ in an infinite universe.
According to Glenn, most us us think ‘the laws of physics do not change across the universe, even if what we are examining is billions of light-years away.’
This theory is called the Copernican Principle, upon which experts base most of their scientific knowledge about the universe.
But, Glenn said it could be very wrong.
Scientists have started to look more carefully at the structure of the universe by analysing light from distant galaxies to look at the speed and direction of moving objects like planets and stars.
They have observed that rather than moving apart as expected, some distant clusters of galaxies actually appear to be caught in a space current, much like a river.
And they are moving at incredibly fast velocities or around two million miles an hour, along a certain path.
Scientists are unsure why but have labeled the phenomenon ‘dark flow’.
To work out why this must be happening, Glenn said scientists believe there must be ‘something huge out there.’
‘It would have to be so large that it is bigger than anything scientists have seen in the known universe before.’
Glenn added that it could be so massive it could dwarf galactic clusters, which could be drawn towards it as if the huge object were a giant space vacuum cleaner.
Scientists thinks that this mysterious massive body is so large that is possibly titling our universe.” Read more.
‘Comet Of The Century’ Nears Earth
By Megan Gannon, FOX News – “About 10,000 years ago, Comet ISON left our solar system’s distant shell, a region known as the Oort cloud, and began streaking toward the sun. This November, the icy wanderer will reach the climax of its journey, potentially providing a stunning skywatching show here on Earth.
Comet ISON was discovered just last September by two Russian amateur astronomers. Scientists have since recognized ISON as a possible “comet of the century,” but to live up to its promise, it will have to survive its dangerous perihelion, or closest approach to the sun.
ISON is what’s known as a sungrazing comet. These suicidal objects have orbits that bring them within 850,000 miles of the sun, and scientists estimate that ISON’s closest pass will be about 730,000 miles above the surface of Earth’s star. [Photos of Comet ISON: A Potentially Great Comet]
Sometime this month or perhaps in August, ISON is set to cross what’s called the frost line. At this boundary, which lies some 230 million to 280 million miles from the sun, our star’s radiation will start taking its toll on the comet, driving off more of its water and making ISON appear brighter.
ISON’s road will only get rockier from there. After the comet flies by Mars in October and then Mercury in mid-November, intensifying solar radiation will boil more material off ISON; pressure from solar particles could break the comet into pieces; tidal forces will create great gravitational stress; and one ill-timed solar storm could rip the comet’s tail right off.
All eyes will be on ISON as it makes this perilous journey. The comet has already had its picture taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and Swift spacecraft, and in the coming months, the agency has a slew of ISON observations planned for its solar telescopes in space and some instruments on the ground.
In September, NASA will even launch a comet-watching balloon almost 23 miles above Earth’s surface to capture images of ISON with minimal interference from the atmosphere.
If the sun is merciful to ISON when it whips around the star on Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving Day), the comet could light up the sky for weeks. In the Northern Hemisphere, it could be visible in the morning near the east-southeast horizon in early December. Later in the month, and into early January, the comet could be visible all night, according to NASA.” Read more.
Scientists: Russian Meteor Was ‘The Most Powerful Event Ever Recorded’, Shockwave Went ‘Round The World Twice’
Greater signs are coming …
Luke 21:25-26, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
The Telegraph – “The study, which has appeared in the science journal Geophysical Research Letters, included data from the International Monitoring System (IMS) network operated by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO).
Researchers used sensors normally deployed to detect evidence of nuclear tests to gather evidence of what they describe as ‘the most powerful event ever recorded’ by the system.
Around 1,000 people were hurt when the 10,000 tonne space rock burned up above Russia.
Alexis Le Pichon, from the Atomic Energy Commission in France and colleagues report that the explosive energy of the impact was equivalent to 460 kilotons of TNT.” Source – The Telegraph.
Most ‘Super’ Supermoon Of 2013 Takes Place This Weekend, June 22-23
EarthSky – “Full moon falls on June 23, 2013 at 11:32 UTC (6:32 a.m. CDT in the U.S.). Thus, for many, the moon appears about as full in the June 22 evening sky as it does on the evening of June 23. This full moon is not only the closest and largest full moon of the year. It also presents the moon’s closest encounter with Earth for all of 2013. The moon will not be so close again until August, 2014. In other words, it’s not just a supermoon. It’s the closest supermoon of 2013.
At United States’ time zones, the moon will turn full on June 23 at 7:32 a.m. EDT, 6:32 a.m. CDT, 5:32 a.m. MDT and 4:32 a.m. PDT.
We astronomers call this sort of close full moon a perigee full moon. The word perigee describes the moon’s closest point to Earth for a given month. Two years ago, when the closest and largest full moon fell on March 19, 2011, many used the term supermoon, which we’d never heard before. Last year, we heard this term again to describe the year’s closest full moon on May 6, 2012. Now the term supermoon is being used a lot. Last month’s full moon – May 24-25, 2013 – was also a supermoon. But the June full moon is even more super! In other words, the time of full moon falls even closer to the time of perigee, the moon’s closest point to Earth. The crest of the moon’s full phase in June 2013, and perigee, fall within an hour of each other…
June 2013 presents the moon’s closest encounter with Earth until August 10, 2014, at which time the moon will be a scant 5 kilometers closer to Earth. The full moon will come even closer to Earth on September 28, 2015 (356,877 kilometers) and closer yet on November 14, 2016 (356,509 kilometers). November 2016 will feature the closest full moon until November 25, 2034! …
If you live along a coastline, watch for high tides caused by the June 23 perigee full moon – or supermoon – over the next several days.” Read more.
NASA: There’s A Hole In The Sun
By Ian O’Neill, Discovery News – “During the latter part of last week, a huge void rotated across the face of the sun. But never fear, it isn’t a sign of the ‘End Times’ or some weird sci-fi stellar malnourishment, this particular hole is a coronal hole. Though it may be a well-known phenomenon, it is noteworthy — it’s the largest coronal hole to be observed in the sun’s atmosphere for over a year.
Snapped through three of NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory‘s (SDO) extreme ultraviolet filters, this coronal hole is caused by a low density region of hot plasma.
The sun’s lower corona is threaded with powerful magnetic fields. Some are looped — or ‘closed’ — very low in the corona, creating the beautiful, bright coronal loops that trap superheated gases that generate vast amounts of extreme ultraviolet light, radiation that is produced by multimillion degree plasma (the bright regions in the image, top).
However, there are also ‘open’ field lines that have one end of their magnetic flux anchored in the solar photosphere. These lines fire solar plasma into interplanetary space at an accelerated rate, often intensifying space weather conditions. These regions of open field lines, or coronal holes, act like fire hoses, blasting plasma into space. These regions are the source of the the fast solar wind that accelerates solar material toward Earth, which often only takes 2-3 days to travel from the sun to Earth.
Through the SDO’s eyes, coronal holes appear dark as there is a very low density of the multimillion degree plasma generating the EUV radiation. And as this dramatic observation demonstrates, to the eyes of the SDO, the sun really does appear to have a hole.” Read more.
Arkansas, Missouri, Arizona, Colorado: Four Fireballs At 4:00 AM During The Last 24 Hours
By Mike Hankey, American Meteor Society – “In the last 24 hours the AMS has received confirmed reports about 4 unique fireball events all occurring near 4:00 AM UTC time. The most recent event occurred in Arkansas and Missouri on May 19th near 3:37 UTC. At the same time 3:37 UTC 4 witnesses reported a fireball in Arizona. The distance between these two locations would inhibit witnesses from observing the same fireball from both locations. On May 18th two large fireball meteors were also spotted within an hour of each other, one over the central east coast and another in Colorado. Below is a table of the events in question.
| AMS ID | UTC DATE AND TIME | ESTIMATED HEADING | STATES WITNESSED |
| 1082 | 2013-05-18 03:47 UTC | South East -> North West | CO |
| 1081 | 2013-05-18 04:26 UTC | South East -> North West | CT, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, WV |
| 1083 | 2013-05-19 03:37 UTC | South East -> North West | AR, IL, IN, MI, MO, OH, TN |
| 1084 | 2013-05-19 03:37 UTC | South South East -> North North West | AZ |
Below is a map of the four events, illustrating the common direction of these fireballs.
Google Earth users can download a KMZ file containing the trajectory estimates for these four events (you must unzip the file before opening in Google Earth). If you witnessed any of these fireball events please fill out an official fireball report.” Source – American Meteor Society.
Dark, Massive Asteroid To Fly By Earth On May 31st
By Deborah Netburn, Los Angeles Times – “It’s 1.7 miles long. Its surface is covered in a sticky black substance similar to the gunk at the bottom of a barbecue. If it impacted Earth it would probably result in global extinction. Good thing it is just making a flyby.
Asteroid 1998 QE2 will make its closest pass to Earth on May 31 at 1:59 p.m. PDT.
Scientists are not sure where this unusually large space rock, which was discovered 15 years ago, originated from. But the mysterious sooty substance on its surface could indicate it may be the result of a comet that flew too close to the sun, said Amy Mainzer, who tracks near-Earth objects at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge. It might also have leaked out of the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, she said.
We will know more after the asteroid zips closer to Earth and scientists using the Deep Space Network antenna in Goldstone, Calif., and the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico can get a better look at it. Astronomers at both observatories plan to track it closely from May 30 to June 9, according to a JPL release.
At its closest approach the asteroid will still be 3.6 million miles from our planet (about 15 times the distance between the Earth and the moon), but it will be close enough for these powerful radar antennas to see features as small as 12 feet across.” Read more.
Again: Four Colossal Sun Flares In 48 hours, More Expected To Come
By Paul Rincon, BBC News – “The Sun has unleashed four colossal bursts of radiation in 48 hours.
On Tuesday, it released the biggest solar flare of 2013 so far, an intense burst associated with a huge eruption of particles.
When these eruptions reach Earth, they can interfere with satellites and communications systems on the ground.
The sunspots that spawned these flares are not directly facing our planet, but some Nasa spacecraft could be in the path of the solar particles.
Increased numbers of flares are expected at the moment because the Sun’s normal 11-year activity cycle is approaching its peak – known as a solar maximum – this year.
Dr Robert Massey, from the UK’s Royal Astronomical Society, told the BBC: “What’s interesting about these events is that you have them in quick succession.
‘It really does say that we’re approaching this 11-year peak. We can’t say exactly when it’s going to happen, you can only work it out retrospectively.'” Read more.
‘Overdrive’: Angry Sun Releases Three Major Solar Flares In Just 24 Hours
By Tariq Malik, Fox News – “The sun, it seems, is in overdrive. Late Monday night, the sun unleashed its third major solar flare in 24 hours — the biggest and most powerful solar storm of the year, so far.
This latest sun storm erupted Monday (May 13) at 9:11 p.m. EDT (0111 GMT) and registered as an X3.2 solar flare, one of the strongest types of flares the sun can release, space weather officials said. It came on the heels of two other recent X-class solar flares on Sunday night and Monday, all of which were sparked by a highly active sunspot on the sun’s far left side.
Officials at the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colo., appeared amazed at the intense activity from the crackling sunspot.
‘Clearly an extraordinary active region is making its way fully onto the visible disk,’ SWPC officials wrote in a morning update today (May 14). ‘Can it keep up this hectic pace?’
Two of the three recent solar flares have been associated with massive explosions, called coronal mass ejections, which flung super-hot solar material into space at millions of miles per hour. Because the sunspot firing off the flares is not yet facing Earth, the solar eruptions pose no threat to satellites and astronauts in orbit, NASA has said.
‘This marks the 3rd X-class flare in 24 hours,’ officials with NASA’s sun-watching Solar Dynamics Observatory wrote in a statement. ‘Just like the two before this one also happened over the eastern limb of the sun and is not Earth-directed.’
The Solar Dynamics Observatory captured amazing videos of the major solar flares and eruptions.” Read more.
‘Colossal’: Strongest Solar Flare Of 2013 Shoots From The Sun
By Tariq Malik, Fox News – “The sun unleashed a colossal Mother’s Day solar flare on Sunday May 12 in what has become the most powerful solar eruption of the year.
The giant solar flare, which registered as one of the largest eruptions the sun can unleash, peaked Sunday night at 10:17 p.m. EDT (0217 GMT) and was captured on camera by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. It sparked an hour-long high-frequency radio blackout, according to the Space Weather Prediction Center overseen by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Sunday’s solar flare registered as an X1.7-class sun eruption — the strongest type of solar flare the sun can fire off, according to the SWPC officials.
When aimed directly at Earth, X-class solar flares can pose a risk to astronauts and satellites in orbit, as well as interfere with communications and GPS signals on the ground. They can also super-charge Earth’s northern lights displays by bombarding the planet with solar particles, triggering awesome aurora light shows.
But Sunday’s solar flare erupted from an active sunspot on the far side of the sun, so it was not directly facing Earth when it unleashed a wave of super-hot plasma called a coronal mass ejection (CME).” Read more.
