Author of Israel-Hamas Goldstone Report Now Admits: Israel Did Not Intentionally Target Civilians
“(CNN) — The chairman of a U.N. mission whose report accused Israel of ‘actions amounting to war crimes’ during its fight against Hamas says he would have reached different conclusions if the Israeli military had been more forthcoming and if he had known the results of subsequent investigations.
‘If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report would have been a different document,’ wrote Richard Goldstone, a former South African jurist, in a Washington Post op-ed column Friday.
Israel, which has long been critical of the conclusions presented to the U.N. Human Rights Council on its war against Hamas forces in Gaza in 2008-09, on Saturday called for the body to cancel the findings.
‘Everything we said has proven to be true,’ said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. ‘Israel did not intentionally harm civilians, its institutions and investigative bodies are worthy, while the Hamas intentionally fired upon innocent civilians and did not examine anything. The fact that Goldstone backtracked must lead to the shelving of this report once and for all.’

“COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BP)–Babak Bighash was an electrical engineer for a major government agency in Iran, commuting more than 800 miles every two weeks between his home and workplace. He was a fairly devout Muslim yet he had unanswered questions about Islam.
About 10 years ago, he managed to pick up a Christian radio broadcast in Iran, and he heard the story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery.
‘After I heard the answer of Jesus and how He could pardon her, it was like a light of faith in my heart,’ Bighash told Baptist Press in an interview from Colorado Springs, Colo., where he has found fellowship and support at Vista Grande Baptist Church.
‘Before I heard about Jesus, what I heard was violence, kill, kill. More than 300 times in the Quran you can read that Allah says kill people by this specification.'” Read more.
Dr. John MacArthur Now Teaches the ‘Islamic End-Time Paradigm’, not the ‘Revived Roman Empire’

Some teachers of Bible prophecy still stubbornly insist that the number one persecutor of Christians will suddenly become a “Revived Roman Empire”. Does it stand to reason that the immense rising tide of Christian persecution we are seeing perpetrated by Islamic extremism today — an anti-Semitic and anti-Christian ideology and set of religious laws that has taken nearly 1400 years to expand to where it has today — will one day and without warning be eclipsed by the rule of some adored, charismatic leader of a yet-to-be-seen new-and-improved European Union virtually overnight?
Though I would argue against the idea of a ‘7 year tribulation’ that some teachers still ascribe to, it is good to see more and more pastors such as John MacArthur beginning to teach the “Islamic End-Time Paradigm” and not the traditional “Revived Roman Empire” position. Eyes are being opened, and prophetic knowledge is increasing indeed …
Excerpt: “As you get to the end of human history and you get into the period of time of the tribulation, there is a specific fulfillment of this prophecy that I want you to understand, and it has to do with Islam. Most people think of Islam as an utterly distinct religion from Christianity with no connection to Christianity … there are many religions that have no connections to Christianity … The Muslim ‘Jesus’ plays a crucial role in Islamic eschatology … the Muslims have an eschatology, in other words they have a ‘theology of the end’ [and] they know where they’re going according to their writings … let me describe the Muslim ‘Jesus’ to you …”
