Somalia: Islamist Group Vows To Kill Anyone Who Supports Christians

PJ Media – “Somali terror group Al-Shabaab told Al-Jazeera that it wouldn’t be negotiating with the government and would continue its quest to kill ‘anyone who supports the Christians.’

They also rebuffed Kenya’s claim that the Westgate mall attackers were dead, claiming they’d eventually reveal what happened to their gunmen.

‘The people we are fighting with is because of ideology. They want to colonize us. They want to erase our religion, our people and our land. Those people bring a new face every time. Every new person that comes into office works for them. So for that reason, they are no different to us. Whomever the Christians bring, no matter their name or background, we will not negotiate with them because they have no decision-making powers. They have no powers to refuse or accept anything. What you lose by force you return by force. We will not negotiate with anyone. The country is ours,’ Al-Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Ali Dheere said, stressing there will be no negotiations with new Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed.

‘Anyone who works for the apostate government, no matter where and at what level, they are supporting the apostates and the Christians who sent them. Our stand is clear is on such people. We will fight them and kill them anywhere we see them,’ Dheere said in defending their attacks on civilians. ‘Anyone who supports the Christians, either through the pen or by carrying a weapon, they are the same to us and we will kill them… We don’t kill civilians who don’t work for the apostate government. We protect them. We do not harm them.’

The terror group also has a strong beef with Turkey and with any Turkish nationals working on development aid in the country.

‘Them building roads, schools and hospitals is similar to a man who wants to slaughter a goat. If he feeds that goat, is it any good to that goat? He is going to slaughter it anyways. The schools they have built, they teach our Somali children bad behavior; they teach them music; they teach them everything that is bad for them,” Dheere said. “The biggest enemy of the Muslim people is NATO and Turkey is part of NATO. NATO is a union of Christians. They are the number one supporters of that union. NATO uses Turkey as the hammer that’s used to crush Muslims.’

He contended that Muslims in Mogadishu ‘want to free from the enemy.'” Read more.

Thereafter you were radicalised and each became an extremist, espousing views which, as has been said elsewhere, are a betrayal of Islam.’ This enraged them, and they began a fight in the courtroom. It would have been interesting to see Mufti Sweeney explain what exactly was a betrayal of Islam in the actions of Mujaahid Abu Hamza and Ismail ibn Abdullah, aka Adebolajo and Adebowale. Right after the murder, Mujaahid Abu Hamza invoked the Qur’an and made specific reference to the Islamic doctrine that one must fight against those who fight against Islam.

The Qur’an says, ‘Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors’ (2:190). That ‘do not transgress’ has often been interpreted by Islamic scholars as meaning, do not begin hostilities. I.e., this verse is a foundation for defensive jihad. But in this case, as the killer himself made clear, he believed that the soldier was fighting Muslims in Islamic lands — Iraq and Afghanistan. So the soldier was already fighting Muslims, and the killer would have thought that he was not ‘transgressing’ by therefore fighting ‘in the way of Allah those who fight you’ — i.e., the Muslims.

And how is one to fight them? ‘And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers’ (2:191). ‘Kill them wherever you overtake them’ — even on, say, a street in Woolwich.

Until British (and American) authorities come to grips with the fact that there is ample Islamic justification for such murders, and stop playing games with their Let’s Play Pretend version of Islam, there will be many more such killings.

The struggle in the dock at the Old Bailey was triggered when Adebolajo and Adebowale – both wearing Islamic robes – reacted angrily to comments that Mr Justice Sweeney made about their extremist beliefs.

He told them: “You each converted to Islam some years ago. Thereafter you were radicalised and each became an extremist, espousing views which, as has been said elsewhere, are a betrayal of Islam.”

Adebowale protested that this was a lie, ranting about America and Britain, and his accomplice joined in, screaming “allahu akbar” and hurling abuse at the prison guards who grappled him to the ground.

Both men were grabbed around the face as guards struggled to control them, and taken down to the cells.The soldier’s family were visibly distressed, and one relative needed medical treatment.

Central African Republic: Christian Walking Into Muslim Area To Sell Wood Is Promptly Slaughtered By Locals

Christians are not counted among Islam’s number and, as such, are increasingly finding themselves unable to buy or sell — or even live — in more and more Muslim areas …

He was a Christian walking in a Muslim enclave, carrying wood to sell. In these tense days, that is enough reason to die in the Central African Republic. A Muslim mob confronted Pumandele, 23, on a side street and pushed him around. Then, they threw him into a ditch. At least one man stabbed him before his throat was slit.

As the slaughter unfolded, some of his killers ordered a Washington Post journalist witnessing the attack Sunday to leave. ‘Allez, allez — go, go,’ one yelled, wagging his arms menacingly.

Stationed nearby was a group of Burundian peacekeepers, ordered by the United Nations to protect civilians. But they didn’t know about the killing until some men — perhaps his killers — brought Pumandele’s mutilated body past them in a wheelbarrow. They dumped his body outside the Red Cross office across from the Burundian base. And just as swiftly, Pumandele was taken to the morgue, adding to the rolls of the dead in Africa’s latest war.

At least nine other people were killed Sunday in and around the area where Pumandele died, according to human rights activists and aid agencies. Christians killed Muslims. Muslims killed Christians. Shops were burned down. Houses were looted. Bodies were burned in streets, in front of African peacekeepers. Some tried to stop the looters; others looked the other way. In all, Sunday’s events were the latest sign of the mayhem in this besieged capital, reeling from one of the worst episodes of sectarian violence on the continent in recent memory.

Pumandele was a victim of circumstance. Half an hour before he was killed, heavy gunfire erupted near the Grand Mosque, near the Red Cross office, in PK 5, one of the last remaining Muslim enclaves in the capital. Muslims accused three Christians — Pumandele and two friends — of carrying grenades and seeking to hurl them into the mosque. The Burundian soldiers took into custody two of the men, but Pumandele ran in the other direction. There were no grenades, the Burundians later said. All the youths had was fear. Pumandele simply ran the wrong way.

By Jibran Khan, AsiaNews – “For police, Sabir Masih committed suicide by hanging himself.  Medical reports show instead that he died from ‘severe internal injuries’ caused by ‘torture and abuse.’

The 24-year old Pakistani Christian man died from the brutal treatment he received under police interrogation after he was arrested on unfounded charges of theft.

In order to extract a confession, the agents did not hesitate from using force, causing injuries that proved fatal.

The Catholic Church and members of civil society want justice, exemplary punishment for the perpetrators and an end to the violent deaths of ordinary citizens, innocent victims of so-called law enforcement officials.

A father of two, Sabir Masih was arrested on Tuesday on charges of theft. Police brought him to the Kohsar Police Station in Islamabad, considered a ‘model’ facility after undergoing a major retrofit to improve its efficiency and humane treatment of prisoners.

Held overnight, the young man was interrogated at length. As soon as they found out that Sabir had been arrested, his family rushed to the police station to say that he was not involved in the theft since he had been at work for the whole day and had returned home after that.

‘He did not commit any crime,’ they shouted in a loud voice, in vain.

In order to get a confession, police used force – a common practice in Pakistan. This in turn caused severe internal injuries that led to Sabir’s death overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

After his death, officers tried to explain the signs of violence by claiming that the young man had committed suicide by hanging himself in cell.

In an attempt to cover up the matter, top police officials also ordered the family to bury him today. The latter however refused, demanding instead an autopsy.

Preliminary results confirm in fact that Sabir Masih died from internal injuries caused by abuse. Nothing indicates that he hanged himself.

An investigation has been launched into the case, but no action has yet been taken against those responsible.” Read more.

A Muslim Admits That Allah Prays

Sometimes Muslims don’t really take the time to analyze the logical (and theological) implications of their own “holy” texts …

By David Wood, Answering Muslims – “One of the most common Muslim objections to the deity of Christ is the question ‘If Jesus is God, why did he pray?’ This question makes sense on a surface level, since Christians claim that Jesus is God and we also claim that he prays. But this is one of the many reasons we are Trinitarians, not unitarians. As one of the three persons of the Trinity, the Son was in eternal communion with the Father, because they shared the same essence. When the Son entered creation as Jesus of Nazareth, he continued that communion with the Father through prayer. Hence, while Jesus praying would be a problem for a unitarian who claims that Jesus is God, it makes perfect sense in light of Trinitarian theology.

But Muslims are unitarians, which means that they would have a huge problem if their god prays. And we find this problem in the Qur’an:

Qur’an 33:56—Verily, Allah and His angels pray for the prophet. O ye who believe! pray for him and salute him with a salutation!

Muslim translators are so horrified by the implications of this verse that they often mistranslate the relevant portion as ‘Allah and his angels send blessings on the prophet.’ The problem is that there are perfectly good Arabic words for ‘send blessings,’ but those words aren’t used here. The Arabic word used of whatever Allah and his angels are doing is yusalloona, which is a verbal form of the word salah (prayer and worship). Thus, the most obvious translation involves Allah praying for Muhammad.

While this is clear to anyone who reads the verse and understands what yusalloona means, it’s always nice to see an Arabic-speaking Muslim admit that Allah prays. This is precisely what happened today on Facebook.

A Few Simple Questions for Muslim Visitors – “Because of Mohammed’s misunderstanding of what Christians believed and practiced, Islam teaches that the Christian belief of the Trinity is a polytheistic teaching of  ‘three gods’, characterized as the ‘Father’, and the ‘Son’ and the ‘Virgin Mary’.  Not only does the ‘Virgin Mary’ have nothing to do with the Trinity (it is the Holy Spirit, not Mary), we believe in One God only and One God that is Triune.  Not three gods.  To use an analogy to illustrate this, consider fire.  When we observe the fire of a candle, for example, we observe three distinct things: light, heat, and a flame. Yet, the light is fire. The heat is fire. The flame is fire. Although these three are fire, are there three fires, or only one?  Likewise, the Father is called God in Scripture (Phil 2:1), and so is the Son (John 1:1,14; Col 2:9), and so is the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).  Even though there is a clear distinction, there is only One God.  As Deuteronomy 6:4 declares, ‘Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.’ Literally translated, ‘Hear, O Israel: Yahweh and our Elohim are a united one.’  The Old Testament demonstrates a plurality in the Godhead that is a united One, and this distinction is reaffirmed in the New Testament: ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him’ (John 14:23).” Read more.

GS, 30, Canadian, who was originally an Afghan citizen, was in London when MH, 43, proposed marriage to her over the phone.

‘He tried to convince me that he will be a good husband, saying he had money and power. When I did not show interest in the proposal, he threatened to kill me by sending someone from Afghanistan and that he could organise a road ‘accident’ to kill me.

‘When I came to Dubai in August, he resumed threatening to disfigure my face by pouring acid water on my face so that no one would marry me. He threatened to destroy my life and business. Those threats were either made directly to me or to mother back home and my brother,’ she told investigators.

Her brother HS, 26, while on a visit to Dubai, received a phone call from the accused threatening to kill his sister. ‘When I got his call in a conference hall, my sister heard the whole conversation before intervening and telling the accused that she will lodge a complaint with the police,’ testified the brother.

Libya: Seven Egyptian Christians Found Dead On Beach, Shot Execution Style

And the country is full of ‘brigades of former rebels and Islamist militias in a country awash with weapons.’ So the likelihood that these seven Christians were killed under similar circumstances, or for offending Islamic supremacists in some way (perhaps by their very existence) is very high.

(Reuters) – Libyan police have found seven Egyptian Christians shot dead on a beach in eastern Libya, security officials and local residents said on Monday, in the second such execution-style killing since the start of the year.

A police officer told Reuters the bodies were found with gunshots to the head outside Benghazi in the east, where assassinations, kidnappings and car bombs are common and Islamist militants are active.

“They were killed by headshots in execution style,” a police officer said. “We don’t know who killed them.”

A local resident and an Egyptian worker, who asked not to be identified because of fears for their security, said unknown gunmen had arrived at the Egyptians’ Benghazi home and dragged them away the night before.

Security sources confirmed the Egyptians were Christians. No further details were immediately available about how they were killed or whether they were shot on the beach.

No group claimed responsibility. Three years after the revolution that ousted Muammar Gaddafi, Libya’s weak government and army struggles to control brigades of former rebels and Islamist militias in a country awash with weapons.

Last month, a British man and a New Zealand woman were shot execution-style on another beach 100 km (60 miles) to the west of the capital Tripoli.

Investor’s Business Daily – “As President Obama offers asylum to ‘minor’ terrorists providing ‘limited’ material support to terrorism, he’s slamming shut the door on thousands of Christians fleeing terrorism in Muslim lands like Egypt.

In another end-run around Congress, President Obama has unilaterally eased immigration requirements for foreigners linked to terrorism.

He ordered the State Department and Homeland Security to ignore a post-9/11 law barring entry to those giving political or charitable aid to Hamas and other known terrorist groups.

A dozen years after the horrific attacks on our nation by foreign Islamic terrorists, the Obama administration has decided a little support to foreign Islamic terrorists is OK.

Treasonous as it sounds, the president is following through on a little-noticed overture he made to Muslims in his Cairo speech of 2009, when he suggested he’d relax enforcement of material support laws involving ‘zakat,’ or Islamic charitable giving.

He basically apologized for the Bush administration’s locking up the founders of the largest Muslim charity in America for sending millions to ‘zakat committees’ linked to Hamas.

Of course, his move weakens, yet again, America’s security. By exempting five kinds of limited material support for terrorism, Obama instantly purges more than 4,000 suspects from the U.S. terror watch list and opens our borders up to both them and their families.

Not to worry, Homeland Security says, it’ll run additional security checks before letting them in.

Oh? Like the checks run on the Tsarnaev family, who also got into the country on asylum claims? Those security checks?” Read more.

Ethiopia: Muslim Father Ties Up Daughter, Threatens To Kill Her After She Calls Out To ‘Jesus’ In Her Sleep

The Christian Post – “When eighteen-year-old Hayat Hussein (pseudonym) called out to Jesus in her sleep, her strict Muslim father responded by tying her with ropes and threatening to kill her. Hayat has now been on the run since last November. Open Doors recently met with her to hear her remarkable story.

Born into the Harari tribe of Jegol, an extremely devout and largely unreached lineage of Ethiopian Muslims, Hayat’s conversion to Christianity is a miraculous testimony of God calling His own, and of her courageous quest for truth against all odds.

Trained as a devout Muslim in the Koranic School, Hayat’s family expected her to be a model student of Islam. Conversion to Christianity within Hayat’s tribe would inevitably be life threatening. However, the Lord’s Spirit of truth was on the move.

To the discomfort of her teachers, teenage Hayat began asking questions about ‘the prophet Isa’ (Jesus). They warned her to not be overly inquisitive. When news of her inappropriate curiosity reached her father, he decided to send her to Saudi Arabia for more intensive Islamic schooling.

Hayat refused to go. Determined to know more about Jesus, she believed Christians could help her and she quietly devised a way to meet them. She left her parents’ house, and enlisted the help of her unsuspecting friends in finding a job in a barber shop.

When a Christian visited the shop, she secretly expressed her desire to go to church. Soon after, she was able to attend a church service, and received Christ as her Savior! Hayat was so excited to learn about Jesus, but the real battle for her life and faith was just about to begin.” Read more.

Nigeria: Muslim Attackers Searching Door-To-Door In Christian Village Kill Over 100

AFP – “Suspected Boko Haram Islamists killed more than 100 people in an attack on a village in Nigeria, a local senator said on Sunday.

The attackers stormed the village in Nigeria’s restive northeastern Borno state on Saturday, slaughtering scores of civilians and sending many others fleeing.

‘A hundred and six people, including an old woman, have been killed by the attackers, suspected to be Boko Haram gunmen,’ senator Ali Ndume told AFP.

‘Sixty of the dead have been buried while the rest are awaiting burial,’ he said, adding the attacks in the area were becoming ‘deadlier and more frequent by the day.’

The raid took place on Saturday in the mostly Christian village of Izghe in Borno, which has been under emergency rule since May last year in a bid to stop an Islamist rebellion that has claimed thousands of lives since 2009.

A local farmer who escaped by scaling the fence of his house and crawling on his belly for 40 minutes said the attackers had gone door-to-door looking for those hiding in their houses.

‘The attackers came around 9:30 pm (20.30 GMT) in six trucks and some motorcycles. They were dressed in military uniform,’ Barnabas Idi said. ‘They asked men to assemble at a place, and began hacking and slaughtering them.’

There were no security forces in the town at the time of the attack, he said.

The head of the local government in the area, Maina Ularamu, earlier told AFP: ‘From the latest information I have gathered, more than 60 people have been killed.’

‘We suspect that the gunmen were members of Boko Haram. They have taken over the village,’ said Ularamu.

‘They looted businesses and food stores and loaded all their spoils into vehicles owned by residents and fled into the bush,’ he added.

The official was speaking from Abuja and said he was preparing to return to Maiduguri, the state capital, to deal with the fallout of the attack.

Hundreds of villagers in Borno had already fled to Maiduguri after Boko Haram militants last week killed 43 people in two separate attacks.” Read more.

By Dalit Halevy, INN – “Four members of a Christian family of Syrian origin living in Alexandria, Egypt, were stabbed to death Monday. A man was seen walking out of their apartment holding a black plastic bag.

The father of the family, 44, who was employed in one of Sharm el-Sheikh’s hotels, was found stabbed in the stomach, the chest and the shoulder. His 35-year-old wife was stabbed in the neck, and so was the husband’s 43-year-old sister. Their six-year-old daughter was also found murdered.

The attackers started a fire in the kitchen, in an apparent attempt to set the entire apartment aflame and destroy evidence.

The large Christian community in Egypt, which numbers about 10 million people, has increasingly been coming under attack from Muslims in the last few years. Many Christians have been murdered and wounded, and over 100 churches, homes and businesses owned by Christians have been attacked, with some being burned down.

The Egyptian regime has blamed the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamist forces for these attacks.” Source – INN.

By Adamu Adamu, Associated Press – “Suspected Islamic militants killed dozens of students in a pre-dawn attack on a northeast Nigerian college, survivors say, setting ablaze a locked hostel and shooting and slitting the throats of those who escaped through windows. Some were burned alive.

Adamu Garba said he and other teachers who ran away through the bush estimate 40 students died in the assault that began around 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Federal Government College Buni Yadi. It is a co-ed school about 45 miles south of Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state, and difficult to communicate with because extremists last year destroyed the cellphone tower there.

Soldiers still are gathering corpses so he could not give an exact number of dead, said military spokesman Capt. Eli Lazarus.

Garba, who teaches at a secondary school attached to the college, said the attackers first set ablaze the college administrative block, then moved to the hostels, where they locked students in and started firebombing the buildings.

At one hostel, he said, ‘students were trying to climb out of the windows and they were slaughtered like sheep by the terrorists who slit their throats. Others who ran were gunned down.’ He said students who could not escape were burned alive.

He spoke to the Associated Press in Damaturu, where he and several other teachers had made their way.

Tuesday’s attack brings the toll from attacks blamed on Boko Haram to more than 300 civilians killed this month alone.” Read more.
