By Sam Pazzano, Toronto Sun – “A killer slit a university student’s throat from ear to ear and set her on fire, a jury heard Monday.

In her opening to the jury, Crown attorney Jennifer Stanton said Farshad ‘Shawn’ Badakhshan, who was dating the victim, trapped Carina Petrache, 23, in his basement bedroom at his Toronto home by lighting a fire on July 2, 2010.

Badakhshan, 30, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. He contends he’s not criminally responsible because he suffered from a mental disorder at the time.

Stanton said some of Petrache’s friends didn’t approve of her relationship with Badakhshan, describing him as ‘jealous and controlling.’

She planned on going swimming with an ex-boyfriend and a girlfriend on the day she was attacked, court heard. Petrache lived in the same building — which contained several rooms and self-contained apartments — as Badakhshan.

The pair had started dating after she moved into the building. But their relationship was ‘tumultuous’ as Badakhshan objected to her socializing with others or without him. Petrache’s friends implored her to end the relationship, said Stanton.

He ‘trapped her in his basement bedroom’ and stabbed her in the torso and slit her throat ‘ear to ear,’ the Crown said. He set her ablaze and in the struggle ‘also got caught on fire.’

The accused disarmed the downstairs smoke detector by removing its batteries and four separate fires were started, court heard.

The bleeding and burning victim eluded her attacker and staggered upstairs with the blazing Badakhshan pursuing her.

Another tenant heard a moaning sound, before seeing Petrache ‘covered in blood and on fire’ as she walked into the kitchen and collapsed, court heard.” Read more.

And the United Nations embraces their lying alterations of Biblical proportions. Then again, we shouldn’t be surprised. The UN has also embraced the invention of a fictitious people commonly referred to as “Palestinians.” After all, according to a 1977 admission by PLO Executive Committee Member Zuheir Mohsen, “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem” …

Dr. Avi Perry, INN – “Unesco’s recent cancellation of a Jewish exhibit entitled ‘People, Book, Land – The 3,500 Year Relationship of the Jewish People and the Land of Israel’, following Arab pressure, is the latest confirmation that the road to peace between Palestinian Arabs and Israeli Jews is filled with land mines, some of which are so deep, it may take more than a generation to scoop them out – if at all.

The core of the conflict is Muslims’ persistent efforts to delegitimize the Jewish State by denying Jewish historical existence in Israel, including Judea and Samaria, by rejecting well established facts, and by fighting any archeological attempt to unearth historical evidence linking Jewish life to the holy land.

Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish State is merely a derivative of their fabricated history, designed to establish their rights to the land while denying Israel’s right to exist at the same time.

Muslims propensity to rewrite history began with the prophet Muhammad. The Quran makes the claim that the biblical Abraham, the first patriarch ancestor of the Jewish people and the originator of the Jewish religion, was a Muslim, irrespective of the fact that he lived some 2600 years before Muhammad conceived of the Islamic religion.

The biblical account of how God tested Abraham, commanding him to have his and his wife Sara’s only son, Isaac, sacrificed, before stopping him at the most critical moment, was revised in the Quran. This time, Abraham was about to sacrifice Ismail, the alleged ancestor of all Arabs, his son from Hajar, Sara’s servant, who was never mentioned by name in the Quran, leading the reader to infer that the nameless mother was Abraham’s wife.

The Muslim holiday, Eid al-Adha, commemorates this altered biblical tale. What’s more, The Muslim version of the story, once again, alters the biblical account to correspond to an Islamic agenda. It claims that Ismail and his mother were able to quench their thirst at the well of Zamzam, near Mecca (rather than near Beer Sheba), nearly 1000 miles of desert away from their starting point at Beer Sheba (a town in Israel).

Muslims and PA leaders over and again label Moses and Jesus as Palestinian Muslims who practiced and preached Islam some 2000 and 600 years, respectively, before Islam came into being.

Altered biblical accounts conceived to fit an Islamic framework are not a major cause of concern because most non-Muslims are either unaware of them, refrain from challenging religious texts, or ignore and dismiss them due to their absurdity. It is worth repeating that when the Prophet Daniel wrote that Antichrist would intend to “change” or “make alterations” to times and law, it is quite clear that the “law” was a direct reference to the desired implementation and subjugation of Sharia Law upon all non-Muslims, regardless of where they lived. By Maayana Miskin, INN – “The Islamic Waqf, which supervises the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, has issued a pamphlet that makes new claims regarding the Mount – arguing, among other things, that King Solomon was a Muslim and that there is no Jewish connection to either the Temple Mount or the Western Wall (Kotel).

Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute supplied Arutz Sheva with a copy of the pamphlet, which is currently being distributed to visitors to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Temple Mount.

In one section, titled, ‘Al-Buraq Wall and NOT the Wailing Wall,’ the pamphlet teaches, ‘Al-Buraq wall is part of the western wall of the Al-Aqsa mosque.’ The pamphlet goes on to link the wall to Islam, stating that it is known as the site where Mohammed ‘tied his winged steed, Al-Buraq.’ (According to Islamic legend Muhammed did not die but flew to heaven on a winged horse called Al-Buraq.)

‘Jews and some Christians, while falsely claiming it is part of their so-called ‘Temple,’ have made a ritual of standing in front of it, and wailing over the power they say was lost to Muslims. Despite the lack of a shred of proof to support these claims, they have turned it into a Jewish shrine since occupation in 1967, and have been conducting so-called archaeological excavations beneath it… in preparation for laying hands over the whole Mosque,’ the pamphlet continues.

The Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site, and is widely recognized as the former site of the biblical Temple. The Mount is also the site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The ‘informative’ pamphlet is full of ‘utterly ludicrous, Kafkaesque lies,’ Richman said. He noted that guidebooks to the holy site published by the Waqf in 1925, and again in 1950, recognized the site’s Jewish history, including the existence of the Temple built by King Solomon…

The updated pamphlet denies historical evidence that the Biblical King Solomon ever built a Jewish Temple, offering the following argument as proof: ‘Solomon was just another prophet of Islam, and therefore, he could not have the authority to build a structure for the worship of any other god but Allah.’

In a section titled ‘Marwani Prayer hall and NOT Solomon’s Stables’ the claim that King Solomon was Muslim was reiterated.

‘Solomon – peace be upon him – was one of the prophets of Islam,’ stated the pamphlet, which accused ‘Jews and crusaders’ of referring to an underground chamber near the Temple Mount as ‘Solomon’s stables’ in a deliberate attempt ‘to try to lead people into believing that the structure is part of the so-called ‘temple.’’

Previous Waqf pamphlets, however, referred to Solomon’s Stables as ‘Solomon’s Stables.'” Read more.

By Robert Gavin, Times Union – “A jury spent roughly an hour and 10 minutes Friday to convict Robert Williams of murdering his wife in her West Hill home last spring.

The panel of nine women and three men quickly rejected the arguments of Williams’ attorney, Michael Jurena, who admitted Williams killed his wife but claimed it was first-degree manslaughter, not second-degree murder.

That charge would have brought a maximum of 25 years in prison for Williams, 41, a convicted sex offender. He now faces 25 years to life for the murder conviction at his March 7 sentencing.

Sharene Wallace, 37, known as Sakina, was stabbed more than 30 times in the neck inside 279 Sherman St. between May 26 and May 29. Her body was found stuffed in a closet. Williams, who fled to New York City before his arrest, admitted killing his new bride to friends and spoke at length to Albany police.

Chief Assistant District Attorney David Rossi said Williams believed Wallace was cheating on him, but killed his wife because he objected to her behavior in their Muslim community.

‘I think it’s clear the defendant felt slighted by Sharene,’ Rossi told jurors. ‘He may regret where he sits today. He does not regret what he did.’

He played the jury part of Williams’ videotaped interview with police. A detective showed Williams a photo of Wallace and referred to the victim as a Muslim woman. In turn, Williams responded: ‘Muslim woman? If she was a Muslim woman none of this (expletive) would even exist.’

Rossi said Williams took his wife’s cellphone and text-messaged naked pictures of her to all her contacts making it appear that Wallace sent out the pictures herself.

One text said: ‘I’m so evil I tried to contract AIDS and give it to my loving and caring husband.’

Another text said: ‘This is me, Sheitan,’ a word for the devil.

Another text stated: ‘I’m sorry everyone but I pretend like I’m a Muslim when in all reality I’m a (prostitute) and I represent Satan.’

An incredulous Rossi told the jury, ‘We’re supposed to believe Sharene sent that herself? Really?'” Read more.
