Though some of the “less attractive” slaves have been released and are able to flee with their lives (presumably after “converting” to Islam), scores of others haven’t been as fortunate. For a group that has absolutely nothing to do with Islam, the Islamic State certainly has a knack for doing precisely what the Qur’an commands Muslims to do for the glory of Islam’s deity and his “perfect” man …

Al Monitor – “For Ibtisam, a 15-year-old Yazidi girl, the six months after the Islamic State (IS) attacked her hometown could not have been crueler. Her mother and three younger sisters were taken from the village of Tel Qasab, near Sinjar, as spoils of war by the extremists, who control territory across Iraq and Syria. After five months in captivity, each day not knowing if they would live to see the next, Ibtisam was freed along with some 200 other Yazidis, most of them elderly, sick or disabled.

Two of her sisters, however, continued to be held captive. Asked why she thought they had been kept while she was released, Ibtisam lowered her eyes and stared at the floor in embarrassment. She paused for a moment before responding, ‘They were more attractive.’

Ibtisam and the others who were released are now in Lalish, site of the holiest shrine for Yazidis, whom IS consider to be devil worshippers. Unlike Christianity and Judaism, the Yazidi religion is not acknowledged in the Quran.

Only the Yazidi community can fully comprehend the depth of the tragedy that has befallen them. Hundreds have been massacred, thousands remain in captivity and the majority of the Yazidi minority has been made homeless by IS.

Around 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from Lalish in the city of Dahuk, a family has taken in three underage girls who were used by IS members as sex slaves for approximately three months. Erivan Mehdi, whose family is caring for them, said, ‘They cry a lot, and they are often lost in their own thoughts.’ One of the girls, Besma, a pseudonym, agreed to be interviewed on the condition her true identity not be revealed. Erivan accompanied her.

Besma, 15, had been in Sinjar town when IS overran the area on Aug. 3, 2014, and gunned down one of her brothers. Nine years earlier, in the midst of sectarian warfare in Iraq, Besma’s father had disappeared without a trace on his way to Mosul.

When IS attacked, Besma’s family had asked one of their Sunni Arab neighbors for help, but instead they were turned over to the militants, who rounded up Besma, her mother and a surviving brother, along with some 500 other Yazidi residents.

They were then loaded onto four buses and transferred to the IS stronghold of Tal Afar, where the militants kept them for two days, feeding them eggs, cucumbers and tomatoes. Besma said they were not mistreated at that time. Yazidi men, however, were separated from the group, and Besma was transferred with her mother and younger brother to a prison, which an older women recognized as Badush, northwest of Mosul.

Besma, who recalled her ordeal in great detail, said the militants served breakfast at 9 a.m., later followed by lunch, which typically consisted of cucumbers and tomatoes. After midnight, the captives were given a dinner of grapes and bread.

The militants repeatedly insisted the Yazidis convert to Islam, Besma said. On the ninth day in Badush, coalition airstrikes targeted an area near the prison, shaking the ground beneath them. ‘Everyone was crying and asking God to finish us off at once, rather than endure the terror,’ she said.

At different stages, young attractive girls were separated from their mothers and then taken away by the militants. The rest were moved from place to place and forced to convert to Islam and pray.” Read more.

He didn’t word it precisely in that way, of course, but he may as well have since he is essentially telling Muslims to behave in exactly the opposite manner that the “prophet” of Islam commands. One could imagine the world being a much different place if imams everywhere implored Muslims to act less like Mohammed. Sadly, that is not the world in which we live. And any “Religion of Peace” leaders who do are all-too-often violently silenced, for peaceful purposes …

By Avi Lewis, The Times of Israel – “In startling remarks in Arabic posted online in the wake of the deadly Paris terror attacks earlier this month, a Brooklyn-based imam called on fellow Muslims to rid themselves of extremist ideology and hatred toward other religious groups, while denouncing terrorist acts committed in the name of Islam.

The footage, posted on January 9 and translated into English by the Washington DC-based Middle East Media Research Institute, shows imam Tareq Yousef Al-Masri delivering a sermon before followers at the Oulel-Albab Mosque in Brooklyn NY.

Responding to the deadly terror attack at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris on January 7 that left 12 dead, Al-Masri called on fellow Muslims to confront intolerance and hatred of the West brought about by radical ‘all-destructive’ fundamentalist ideologies — ostensibly in the name of Islam.

‘Let us admit without lying to ourselves, that we the Muslims are time bombs. When I say ‘we the Muslims,’ I do not mean every single Muslim, but Muslims of the religious sector are time bombs,’ Al-Masri said.

‘For a sinner to repent, the first thing he does is make a bomb. He blows it up and kills people. We must admit this,’ he said. ‘If you have cancer, it won’t help you if I tell you that you have the flu. I must tell you clearly that you have cancer. Everything comes from Allah, but this should not prevent us from studying the underlying reasons of this cancer [among us].’

Al-Masri claimed that Salafist ideology was largely responsible for the animus that has gripped the Muslim world in recent years, and accused renegade clerics of hijacking the true message of the Koran and peddling an extreme version of Islam incompatible with Western culture.

‘Who instilled so much hatred in this generation? It is the ideology of [Salafist preachers],’ Al-Masri said. ‘The majority of us Muslims hate Christians — when you see how many people oppose [greeting Christians] you have to admit that a deep-rooted hatred dwells in the heart of the Muslims. [Radical clerics] are responsible for instilling [this] hatred.’

‘When we tell people that it is forbidden to wish a Christian ‘Merry Christmas,’ does this not lay the foundation of terrorism?'” Read more.

FOX News – “A new, grisly beheading video from ISIS includes a direct threat against President Obama and is one of at least three new warnings from the terror organization, including pledges to kill Jordanian and Japanese hostages if a hostage held by Jordan is not freed.

In a new online video discovered by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) on Tuesday, three Islamic State fighters stand behind a kneeling Kurdish fighter as one of the extremists launches into a diatribe against the U.S. and other Western nations.

‘Know, oh Obama, that will reach America,’ says one of the fighters, clad in black and wearing a balaclava, in a translation from Arabic provided by MEMRI. ‘Know also that we will cut off your head in the White House, and transform America into a Muslim Province.’

The extremist also issued warnings to European nations.

‘And this is my message to France and to its sister, Belgium,’ he said. ‘We advise you that we will come to you with car bombs and explosive charges, and will cut off your heads.’

The video fades to black as one Islamic State fighter brings a knife up to the unidentified Kurdish fighter’s throat.

He attacked a Sikh, Sarandev Brahambra, with a hammer and a machete, leaving him with serious injuries. This story from the Mirror last week identifies the victim by name but describes him only as ‘Asian,’ without ever saying he was Sikh, and also says: ‘The attacker was shouting ‘White power’, witnesses said, and detectives have confirmed the assault appeared to be racially-motivated.’ So this was presented to the British public as a an attack by one of those right-wing racists that British authorities are much more concerned about than they are about Islamic jihadists, and this attack appeared to substantiate their concern.

There’s just one catch: Zack Davies is a Muslim who calls himself Zak Ali, and who warned on his Facebook page on the morning of his attack in Tesco: ‘The wrath of Allah is about to come down upon the kaffir, I will have my revenge.’ He also posted four Qur’an verses (identifying the suras as ‘books’) that call for violence against unbelievers:

Book of Al-Anfal, verse 12 ( 8:12) – “I (Allah) will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off.”

5- Book of Al-Baqara, verse 191 (2:191) – “Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out.”

6- Book of Al-Baqara, verse 193 (2:193) – “Fight them on until there is no more tumult and religion becomes that of Allah”

7- Book of Al-Tawba verse 29 (9:29) – “Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the last day… and fight People of the Book, (Christian and Jews) who do not accept the religion of truth (Islam) until they pay tribute (Jizyah tax) by hand, being inferior.”

The fact that Zak Ali is a Muslim who clearly believes in jihad against unbelievers doesn’t mean that this wasn’t a ‘white power’ attack.
