Israel National News – “For the first time in the State of Israel’s history, Iran has begun a direct attack on Israel, launching dozens of UAVs towards the Jewish state, US reports said.

A UAV launched from Iran would reach Israel in approximately nine minutes, while a cruise missile would take two hours to reach Israel, and a ballistic missile would take nine minutes.

The Prime Minister’s plane took off shortly before Iran launched its attack, for unknown reasons.

An IDF spokesperson confirmed: ‘A short time ago, Iran launched UAVs from its territory towards the State of Israel’s territory.’

‘The IDF is on high alert and is constantly monitoring the operational situation. The aerial defense system is on high alert, alongside the IAF planes and Navy ships, who are tasked with protecting Israel’s skies.

American Forces Shoot Down Dozens Of Iranian Drones – “The U.S. military has shot down ‘at least dozens”m’ of Iranian drones en route to Israel late Saturday and early Sunday, a senior U.S. official tells Fox News. ‘U.S. forces in the region continue to shoot down Iranian-launched drones targeting Israel. Our forces remain postured to provide additional defensive support and to protect U.S. forces operating in the region,’ a U.S. official said. The interceptions come hours after Iran launched drones, and later ballistic missiles, following a deadly strike on its Syrian consulate earlier this month.” Read more.

The Jerusalem Post – “Iran has given Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah the green light to escalate its attacks along Israel’s northern border, the Arabic Post reported on Wednesday, citing high-level Iranian and Lebanese sources.

The Islamic Republic has reportedly set conditions for Hezbollah, ordering it to launch a large-scale attack on Israel only after it ‘had become certain of Israel’s intention’ to carry out an invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

As per the report, Tehran gave the go-ahead amid fears that, after the IDF completes an invasion of Rafah, southern Lebanon ‘will be next.'” Read more.

Houthis Say They Will Introduce Military ‘Surprises’ In Red Sea – “Yemen’s Houthis will introduce “military surprises” in their Red Sea operations, the Iran-aligned group’s leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech on Thursday. Report: US Fears Israel Will Launch Spring Offensive Against Hezbollah In Lebanon – “Officials close to US President Joe Biden are concerned that Israel is planning to launch a ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon in the coming months … the Biden administration has held intelligence briefings on the matter, preparing for the possibility that the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group cannot be made to retreat from the border through diplomatic measures… one senior official said that the Biden administration was ‘operating in the assumption’ that a ground operation would … ‘grow to an expansive air campaign reaching much further north into populated areas of Lebanon and eventually grow to a ground component as well.'” Read more.

US Central Command: “At 4:00 p.m. (EST) Feb. 02, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and affiliated militia groups. U.S. military forces struck more than 85 targets, with numerous aircraft to include long-range bombers flown from United States. The airstrikes employed more than 125 precision munitions. The facilities that were struck included command and control operations, centers, intelligence centers, rockets, and missiles, and unmanned aired vehicle storages, and logistics and munition supply chain facilities of militia groups and their IRGC sponsors who facilitated attacks against U.S. and Coalition forces.”
