According to the IAEA one year ago, Iran already had “enough material” to build several nuclear weapons. If all Iran needs is just one week to assemble the necessary components, if you will, for one nuclear bomb, who’s to say they haven’t already done so? You can be certain that if they have, they’ll certainly not announce it right away and are likely to speak as though their nuclear ambitions are still for “peaceful purposes” only. That is, until a mushroom cloud is seen over Tel Aviv or Haifa or Eilat (and even then they’d still deny it). And if Iran has already built one or more nukes, you can be certain they’ll be doing everything in their power to gift one to the likes of Hezbollah …

The Jerusalem Post – “One of the world’s leading experts on nuclear weapons programs, American physicist David Albright, issued a report stating that Iran’s regime needs roughly a week to produce enough uranium for an atomic bomb.

In his January 8 report titled ‘How quickly could Iran make nuclear weapons today?’ Albright argues that ‘Iran can quickly make enough weapon-grade uranium for many nuclear weapons, something it could not do in 2003. Today, it would need only about a week to produce enough for its first nuclear weapon. It could have enough weapon-grade uranium for six weapons in one month, and after five months of producing weapon-grade uranium, it could have enough for twelve.’

Albright, the founder and president of the prominent Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, noted that ‘Iran could also immediately start preparatory work on transforming the weapons-grade uranium into nuclear weapon components in anticipation of later receiving weapon-grade uranium.

‘It accomplished a considerable amount of such work during the Amad Plan, and subsequently at civilian nuclear facilities at Esfahan during the last several years as part of Iran’s buildup of its nuclear program, including the production of a small amount of 20% enriched uranium metal, a material that can stand in for weapon-grade uranium.'” Read more.

“[We] don’t believe we have set back their military efforts substantially.” It doesn’t take a military expert to figure that out. If Israel’s war against Hamas is any indication, the only way to seriously deteriorate or eliminate the capabilities of terrorists that are dug in and hunkered down is to take them seriously and respond in kind with a prolonged air campaign to soften underground facilities, target their leadership, followed by a ground invasion to root them out for elimination. CNN – “Last week’s US-led airstrikes on Houthi rebel targets in Yemen destroyed less than a third of the Iranian proxy group’s overall offensive capabilities, a US official told CNN, with the group maintaining the majority of its ability to strike ships in the Red Sea.

Despite a barrage of strikes last week, including 150 precision-guided munitions fired at nearly 30 sites, the Houthis still have about three-quarters of their ability to target commercial vessels in international shipping lanes in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, the official added.

That was apparent Monday, when a Houthi missile hit a US-owned cargo ship in the Red Sea, marking what appears to be the first time the militants have successfully struck a US-owned or operated ship.

Last week’s airstrike was a success as designed – the US destroyed or damaged 93% of the targets it had selected – but some US officials privately acknowledged that it did little to set back the Houthis’ ability to continue striking international shipping.

‘Message received and some degradation but we expect a response and don’t believe we have set back their military efforts substantially,’ one senior US official said of the strikes.

Report: Houthi Capabilities Dented But Largely Left Intact After US-Led Strikes – “US officials tell New York Times analysts are struggling to find targets to strike, with Yemeni rebels having hidden much of their weaponry and still able to threaten shipping… Ahead of the attacks, Houthis moved or hid much of their offensive capabilities, which are largely mounted on mobile carriers… White House spokesperson John Kirby said the initial strikes had hit the Houthis’ ability to store, launch and guide missiles or drones.” Read more.

Politico – “U.S. officials assess that there’s a rising risk Lebanese Hezbollah militants will strike Americans in the Middle East — and even potentially hit inside the United States, four officials familiar with the intelligence told POLITICO.

The Iran-backed militant group would likely target U.S. personnel in the Middle East first, the officials said. And U.S. intelligence agencies are gathering data on Hezbollah that suggest it could be considering attacks on both U.S. troops or diplomatic personnel overseas, two of the officials said.

The chance for an assault on U.S. soil is also growing as tensions in the region escalate, the officials said.

Front Page Magazine – “It’s astounding to think that a war anywhere in the world would become such a public cause by supporters of one side or another that it would dominate and even hijack the public space. That has not happened even with Russia’s attack on Ukraine, even with the wide display of blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag in solidarity with their plight, and a corresponding wide boycott of Russia and Russian products.

Other than the 2014 kidnapping of Nigerian girls by Islamist Boko Haram terrorists which generated its own hashtag, no recent wars in Africa or Asia came close to the visibility of that in Ukraine.

As much as solidarity with Ukraine was widespread, in no case was there widespread public disruption in protest of Russia’s aggression, or in support of Ukraine, or of any other war. Until this October.

Israel’s war against Hamas has triggered widespread public disruptions by terrorist supporters around the world. Calling them terrorist supporters is not rhetoric but fact. Even before the bodies of the 1200 people massacred by Hamas terrorists on October 7 had been identified, massive public protests took place. Shockingly, astoundingly, the protests were not against Hamas’ atrocities and war crimes, but against Israel.

The world and millions of Hamas terrorist supporters turned a blind eye. They deny Hamas committed such atrocities; that families were bound by metal wires and incinerated alive; that women were gang raped and executed in the most violent ways, that babies were beheaded and children murdered before their parents’ eyes and parents murdered before their children’s eyes; that tens of thousands of rockets were fired at Israeli communities by the terrorists; or when the terrorists’ own rockets fell short and killed Palestinian Arabs in Gaza.

Sadly, this kind of behavior and manufacturing of lies is all too expected from Hamas and its terrorist supporters. Now, however, we’ve seen them raise the bar on their incivility by shouting down and threatening others, and hijacking the public space over and over. They have effectively opened countless fronts of this terrorist war, not just against Israel but against the West, with particular disdain for Jews and Christians.

This has taken place in many forms and venues. Pro-Hamas protesters disrupted the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center in New York, winning this year’s award for the biggest Grinch to steal Christmas. During the Christmas holiday travel season, pro-Hamas demonstrators blocked roads leading to major US airports as if somehow doing so is going to “free Palestine.” On Christmas day, a friend in Chicago tried to get to her parents, only to be rerouted for hours by pro-Hamas protesters blocking more roads. They blocked all the entrances/exits of the Freedom Tower, the site of another massive terrorist attack that you may have heard about on 9/11. New York Mayor Adams has warned that the annual New Years Eve celebration in Times Square will certainly become the target of pro-Hamas protesters ushering in a new year of hate.

All over the world, thousands of cruel heartless people tore down and defaced pictures of the 250 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, as if somehow showing human compassion for civilians held hostage in Gaza was an evil worse than that of the terrorists’ massacre.” Read more.

Western Media Keeps Repeating Hamas Terrorist Propaganda – “In a Dec. 29, 2023 article titled ‘Two investigations put renewed scrutiny on Israel’s Gaza offensive,’ The Washington Post yet again quoted the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry as if its statements were fact, not even noting that it is controlled by a terrorist organization with a vested interested in promoting incendiary propaganda. Instead, the Post simply states, ‘Israel’s aggressive response to the attacks — a mission to eradicate Hamas — has killed 21,507 and injured 55,915 people in the enclave, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.’ What does the failure to acknowledge that the Gaza Health Ministry is essentially a weapon in Hamas’s media war say about the Post’s credibility? Israel is claiming that about half of those deaths were combatants, which would mean the ratio of civilians to combatants killed is 1:1. When you read about terror attacks and beheadings, what’s often the first thing that comes to mind? Could it have been due to the teachings of Mormonism? No. Catholicism? Nah. Buddhism? Judaism?
