By David Lev, INN – “For the third morning in a row, Arabs rioted on the Temple Mount, attempting to attack groups of Jews who sought to visit the holiest site in Judaism during the Sukkot holiday. Police again Thursday deployed large numbers of officers to keep the Arabs from attacking the Jews.

Police have reported that there were mild protests during recent days, but video footage showed dozens of young Arabs actively trying to attack Jews who were visiting the Mount. In one video, a Wakf official is seen threatening to break the camera of a Jew filming footage of the Arab rioters.

Earlier in the week, Arutz Sheva reported on a large Arab riot that greeted Jews who attempted to visit the Temple Mount on the first day of Chol Hamo’ed, the intermediate days of Sukkot. ‘When we went up on the Temple Mount, we were greeted with cries of ‘Allah is Great,’’ said Asaf Fried, one of the members of a group that visited the Mount Tuesday. ‘The police again did nothing, even towards the end of the visit when the Arabs really came close to us and blocked our exit, shouting, ‘We will expel the Jews in blood and fire and will butcher Jews.’ The police still did nothing,’ and the group of Jews escaped without harm, Fried said.

During the rioting, police arrested five Arabs for attacking a police officer. One Jewish worshipper was detained as well, police said, for failing to listen to their instructions. On Tuesday, police arrested Likud activist Moshe Feiglin, along with another Israeli, for attempting to pray at the site. On Wednesday, Rabbi Yehuda Leibman, director of the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva was taken into custody for allegedly praying at Judaism’s holiest site. Later in the day, 87-year-old Dr. Menachem Ben-Yashar, a long-time activist for Jewish rights on the Mount was arrested. Also detained was Elyashiv Sherlo, son of Rabbi Yuval Sherlo, head of the Petach Tikva yeshiva.

Jewish activists once again called on police to learn how to respond more effectively to Arab riots, and to establish a procedure at the Temple Mount similar to that at the Machpelah Cave – allowing Jews access to the site, at least on Jewish holidays.” Source – INN.

Flashback: Arab League To Israel: Hands Off The Muslim Temple Mount, Or Else – “The Arab League has released a statement warning Israel to stay away from the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The mosque is located on the Temple Mount, which Judaism teaches is the holiest site in the world. Surprisingly, the Arab League statement termed the mosque ‘the holiest of the Arab and Islamic holy sites.’ … The statement warned the ‘occupation authorities’ against interfering with the mosque. ‘The city of Al-Quds [Jerusalem] and at its head the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is a red line that must not be crossed, and any attack on it will definitely endanger the safety and stability of the entire region,’ it stated.” Read more.

The Times of India – “AHMEDABAD: A rally to condemn the anti-Islam film ‘Innocence of Muslims’, which has irked Muslims across the globe, took a violent turn in the city on Wednesday. An angry mob set fire to the Karanj police chowky along with 11 motorbikes and two jeeps belonging to the policemen.

City police fired three rounds in the air to disperse the mob. Officials also lobbed more than 30 tear gas shells and lathi-charged the protesters to bring the situation under control. At least 12 people were injured in police lathi-charge.

More than 100 people were arrested for the violence by late evening. This included a woman, Zarina Khan, who had initially sought permission for a rally from the cops, which was turned down. The accused have been booked for attempt to murder and vandalism.

The violence sparked off after a string of bandh calls given by various groups in different parts of the city during the past week. Several minority-dominated parts of Ahmedabad had witnessed spontaneous bandhs and small rallies against the film.

On Wednesday, a large section of the minority community had decided to stage a rally on a much larger scale. However, the city police denied them permission. Upset with the decision, the protesters called for a city-wide bandh…

These twin aspects did not go down well with the bandh and rally supporters who started collecting at the Lal Darwaja in huge numbers at 2 pm.

The city police seemed to have underestimated the threat-perception of this massive gathering. This was evident in the fact that quite a small number of Karanj policemen were posted near Lal Darwaja and they proved to be grossly inadequate to stop the protesters from marching ahead.

At around 3 pm, a huge rally marched to Jama Masjid beyond Teen Darwaja. Outside the ancient mosque people started shouting slogans against the people who had asked the protesters to stay calm. This sparked off more violence…

Ahmedabad: The angry mob refused to budge from in front of the Jama Masjid despite repeated warnings by police. Then city police lathi-charged the protesters. This triggered more violence as the mob retaliated with pelting stones at the cops.

The mob then directed its fury at the Karanj police chowky, close to the women’s station. As the mob started vandalizing the chowky, women officers and other cops fled in fear. The mob then set fire to the furniture and vehicles parked outside…

When the police were busy in crowd control near Teen Darwaja, another group of violent protestors attacked a government vehicle near Relief Cinema and set it ablaze.” Read more.

Is Iran pronouncing judgement upon itself, again?  The Prophet Isaiah seems to suggest that when the time comes to destroy the enemies of Israel, the Holy One will Himself do so, and He will do it in just a “single day” …

Isaiah 10:17, 24-25, “And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, And it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day… Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, ‘O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did. For in a very little while My indignation against you will be spent and My anger will be directed to their destruction.'”

By Ryan Jones, Israel Today – “Almost baiting Israel to launch a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the representative of the Islamic Republic’s ‘supreme leader’ to one of its most secretive military forces stated this week that Iran is now just waiting for the right excuse to destroy the Jewish state.

Seemingly contradicting himself, Hojjat al-Eslam Ali Shirazi, Ayatollah Khameini’s liaison to the Qods Force, told reporters that Iran would need just ’24 hours’ to destroy Israel in what he called a ‘war of attrition.’

The Qods Force is a clandestine wing of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and answers directly to Khameini. It’s primary field of operations is outside Iran’s borders.

Shirazi said he believed Israel was foolish enough to try a preemptive strike on Iran, and that Iran would then use its ‘expertise in fighting wars of attrition’ to bury Israel.

Iran fought an extremely bloody eight-year war of attrition against Iraq for the better part of the 1980s. But, of course, Iran does not share a border with Israel, so any war of attrition between the two states would be carried out largely with air and missile forces, where Israel enjoys a significant advantage, both in quality and numbers.

Meanwhile, the Times of Israel cited unnamed Iranian sources as saying the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program is accelerating.

‘More and more young graduates and people are brought in every day,’ said one source who works at one of Iran’s nuclear facilities. ‘We have been working non-stop.'” Read more.

The Times of India – “OHIA ABUJA: At least 26 students were killed and several others injured when unidentified gunmen wearing military uniform attacked a hostel in northern Nigeria on Monday.

Gunmen invaded the hostel of Mubi Polytechnic in northern state of Adamawa, killing 26 students, police sources said.

A lecturer told reporters that the number of dead could be as much as 40. He said that the gunmen wore military attire and told the students to identify themselves by name.

According to him, some of them were spared after mentioning their names but no reason was given by the assailants for the identification process.

The invaders used guns and knives in killing the students.

The spokesman of the oil-rich African country’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Yushua Shuaib said he cannot say whether the assailants were members of a violent sect that is notorious within the region.

‘I also do not have the total casualty figure but would make it available soon,’ he told PTI.

A curfew has been imposed on the city but that did not deter the frightened students from fleeing the place in droves.

Several killings in the state have been carried out by a Muslim militant sect called Boko Haram which wants to convert the people of northern Nigeriato Islam by force and install a Sharia government.” Read more.
