By Bob Maginnis – “New evidence indicates Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wants nuclear weapons and he created a religious-based ruse to deceive the world into joining new talks. The leader intends to use those talks to buy more time to harden his weapons program, prevent an attack, and persuade world powers to lift sanctions.

Six world powers—the U.S., U.K., France, China, Russia and Germany—fell for the ayatollah’s ruse at exploratory talks held in Istanbul, Turkey April 16. Saeed Jalili, the ayatollah’s ‘personal representative’ at the talks, cited the supreme leader’s fatwa—an Islamic order declaring possession of a nuclear weapon to be ‘a sin’—to deceive the ‘six’ into believing Iran is serious about resolving its disputed nuclear program. The ‘six’ took the bait and new talks begin May 23 in Baghdad.

But the supreme leader seeks nuclear weapons in spite of his false fatwa. A just unveiled 2009 internal International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) document summarizes a conversation with then Iran’s president, Ayatollah Khamenei. The ayatollah explained ‘During a [1984] meeting …the spiritual leader Iman Khomeini had decided to reactivate the nuclear program.’ Khamenei served as president 1981-89 before becoming Iran’s current supreme leader.

President Khamenei explained ‘This [possessing nuclear weapons] was the only way to secure the very essence of the Islamic revolution from the schemes of its enemies … and to prepare it for the emergence of Imam Mehdi [messiah],’ who would bring the world under Islamic rule. Khamenei also said ‘that a nuclear arsenal would serve Iran as a deterrent in the hands of God’s soldiers.’

IANS – “Police in the Russian capital said on Wednesday they will examine a video in which a prominent Muslim lawyer pledges to ‘cover Russia in blood’ if the authorities refuse to establish courts to implement Islamic law.

‘May be you are foreigners here, and this is our home. We will set our rules, whether you want this or not,’ Dagir Khasavov, a lawyer and aide to an upper house committee chairman, said in an interview with the REN TV channel.

‘Any attempts to stop this will result in blood. We will turn the city (Moscow) into a second dead sea,’ he was quoted as saying.

Russian Chief Mufti Talgat Tadzhuddin condemned Khasavov’s statement.

Geidar Dzhemal, head of an influential group called Islamic Committee, said there might have been a ‘misunderstanding’.

Sergei Mitrokhin, co-head of the liberal Yabloko party, wrote on Twitter that he would ask prosecutors to bring extremist charges against Khasavov.

Khasavov recently announced plans to establish an international Muslim union to be governed by a system of Shariat courts.

Orthodox Church spokesman Vsevolod Chaplin warned against ‘restricting the Islamic community in living by their own rules’ but said it was unacceptable to ‘impose these rules on others outside your community’.” Source – DNA.

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, via Jihad Watch – “The Police Intelligence Service (PET) has arrested three people on Friday April 27th in connection with a investigation of terrorism. The arrests occurred at two addresses in Copenhagen, and searches in connection with the arrests are being conducted at several locations in the Copenhagen area.

The Police Intelligence Service (PET) writes in a statement:

‘Those arrested have been provisionally charged with illegal possession of automatic weapons and ammunition, but they are also suspected of having been in the process of preparing a terrorist act,’ it said.

The arrested are a local 22-year-old Jordanian national, a resident 23-year-old Turkish national and a 21-year-old Danish citizen residing in Egypt. They will be presented in the Copenhagen City Court within the next 24 hours. PET does not wish to disclose further details in the matter, nor whether the men will be presented in court Friday or Saturday.

In another case, four men are currently charged with an attempt of terrorism against Jyllands-Posten / Politiken Hus (famous for having published the renowned Mohammed drawing by Kurt Westergaard).

The four deny that they had planned a terror attack shortly before the New Year in 2010 against JP / Politiken Hus in Copenhagen. They were all arrested on December 29th 2010, and are presently in the Court of Glostrup.” Read more (Danish).

JTA – “ROME (JTA) – An Italian convert to Islam arrested for suspected links to terrorism was connected to a suspect who planned to bomb Milan’s main synagogue.

Andrea Campione, 28, who worked in a picture frame factory, was arrested in the Adriatic seacoast town of Pesaro on Monday during an anti-terrorism crackdown in several cities. Authorities said Campione was associated with Mohamed Jarmoune, a Moroccan man arrested last month on suspicion of plotting an attack on Milan’s main synagogue.

Reports said Campione had a Moroccan girlfriend and was apprehended as he was about to leave Italy for Morocco.

Investigators, who said Campione disseminated jihadist material, seized his computer and other digital material. They said that Campione had sent Jarmoune and others links to Internet sites containing information on how to carry out terror attacks.” Source – JTA.org.

Associated Press – “Israel’s military chief said Thursday that other countries have readied their armed forces for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear sites to keep Tehran from acquiring atomic weapons.

Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz did not specify which nations might be willing to support or take direct action against Iran. Still, his comments were one of the strongest hints yet that Israel may have the backing of other countries to strike the Islamic Republic to prevent it from developing nuclear arms.

‘The military force is ready,’ Gantz said. ‘Not only our forces, but other forces as well.’

‘We all hope that there will be no necessity to use this force, but we are absolutely sure of its existence,’ he told The Associated Press, adding that he was not speaking on behalf of any other nation.

Mohsen Gharavian, a disciple of [Ayatollah] Mesbah Yazdi [who is Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s spiritual mentor], has spoken for the first time of using nuclear weapons as a counter-measure. He stated that ‘in terms of shari’a, it all depends on the goal.’… [T]he IraNews news agency published recent remarks by Mohsen Gharavian regarding the nuclear issue. Gharavian is a lecturer at the religious schools of Qom, and is a disciple of [Ayatollah] Mesbah Yazdi. In his recent remarks, he said for the first time that the use of nuclear weapons may not constitute a problem according to shari’a. He further said that ‘when the entire world is armed with nuclear weapons, it is permissible to use these weapons as a counter-[measure]. By Anna Mahjar-Barducci, Gatestone Institute – “An anti-Semitic sermon prepared and distributed by the Malaysian Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Department was aired on March 30 in all the mosques of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The sermon called ‘to understand that Jews are the main enemy to Muslims as proven by their egotistical behavior and murders performed by them.’ The sermon, as the media outlet Malaysian Insider reported, also called on community leaders to understand the importance of Jerusalem for Muslims. ‘The honor of al-Quds [Jerusalem] and the al-Aqsa mosque must be defended by all Muslims, as it is holy land that must be blessed,’ the sermon had stated.

The media outlet, the Malaysian Insider explained that anti-Semitic feelings in Malaysia, which has no diplomatic ties with Israel, are not something new. and that the sermon was just a confirmation of the strong anti-Semitic and anti-Israel feelings in the country. The Malaysian National Censorship Board in March 1994 even banned the film ‘Schindler’s List’ from the country’s cinemas, in accordance with the country’s long-standing anti-Semitic cultural policies, according to Tel Aviv University’s Stephen Roth Institute,

In March 2012, the Malaysian opposition, Pakatan Rakyat (PKR), started to pressure the government also to legislate the banning of all ties with Israel, direct or indirect. The PKR leader even said that Malaysia should ban ‘the use of our ports by any company that has a trade interest with the Zionist regime.’ A Malaysian scholar based in Singapore, Dr. Farish A. Noor, further commented in the Malaysian Insider that as elections in Malaysia are around the corner all political parties are competing to show how ‘anti-Israeli’ they can be.

Malaysian journalist Abdul Haleem Abdul Rahiman wrote in the Malaysian Inslder that the rise of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel rhetoric in the politics of the country is becoming pathetic. ‘How many Jews have Malaysians met in their life? I bet at least 50% of the Malaysian population have never met a single Jew in their whole life. Just how much do we know about the history of the Palestine-Israel conflict? Has anyone read the Balfour Declaration? Just what is our problem with Israel? The Zionist oppression of Palestinians? Get this right. Not all Jews are in favor of this oppression. I personally know quite number of them. We have NO diplomatic ties with Israel. Perfect. Shut up and move on. Leave them alone. None of them is interfering with our daily life. […] Enlighten me please. Just on what basis do we hate them so much? Because they oppress our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine? What about Syria then?
