Nigeria: Over 5,000 Children at Home After Islamists Destroy Schools in Campaign to Impose Sharia Law
BY KIMENG HILTON NDUKONG – “Human Rights Watch says their schools have been destroyed by Boko Haram Islamic militants.
Over 5,000 school children in northern Nigeria are now at home after Boko Haram Islamic militants destroyed their schools in their campaign to impose Islamic Sharia law in the country. The Nation newspaper of Nigeria citing a Human Rights Watch, HRW, report released earlier this week, said since the beginning of 2012, at least 12 schools have been destroyed in the city of Maiduguri, capital of the north eastern Borno State, the heartland of the insurgency.
The group’s Deputy Head, Children Rights Directorate, Zama Coursen-Neff, said Boko Haram attacks on schools represent a new and reprehensible development since the group began its campaign of violence in 2009. Between February 26 and 29, at least four schools were burned, and on March 1, five schools were set ablaze, including Sunshine Stars Secondary School and Success Secondary School, which had an enrollment of 700, the report says. All the attacks have occurred either at night or in the early morning hours.
Attacks on schools by armed groups, HRW warned, not only put children and teachers’ lives at risk, but may also deprive children of an education. It noted that schools may close and children drop out entirely and even when classes resume after an attack, the quality of education may suffer with students and teachers afraid and learning material have been destroyed. The report notes that threats of attacks may also force neighbouring schools to close or parents to keep their children at home.” Read more.
Sudan: Over 500,000 Christians Have Less Than a Month to Leave North Sudan, Aid Agencies Fear Humanitarian Catastrophe
By Fredrick Nzwili – “Sudanese Christians who have barely a month to leave the north or risk being treated as foreigners are starting to move, but Christian leaders are concerned that the 8 April deadline set by Islamic-majority Sudan is unrealistic.
‘We are very concerned. Moving is not easy … people have children in school. They have homes … It is almost impossible,’ Roman Catholic Bishop Daniel Adwok, the Khartoum archdiocese auxiliary told ENInews in a telephone interview on 7 March.
Sudan in February announced the deadline for the former citizens it had stripped of nationality after South Sudan’s January 2011 vote to secede. The ultimatum will affect an estimated 500,000-700,000 people, who are mainly Christians of southern origin that still live in the north…
Some church leaders fear increased persecution of Christians in the north or even forced repatriation for those who may want to stay. ‘The fears have been there from the beginning. There could be some form of harassment, and that could intensify after that date, but for forceful removal, it is hard to ascertain,’ said the Rev. Don Bosco Ochieng, a Roman Catholic priest in the Rumbek diocese.
Aid agencies are calling for the extension of the deadline, warning that it will create a logistical and humanitarian catastrophe.” Read more.

International Christian Concern’s North Africa specialist Jonathan Racho says that a Shariah-compliant constitution will mean more suffering for Sudan’s remaining Christians. ‘This new law (Shariah compliant constitution) is going to affect a significant number of Christians who live in places like Khartoum (the capital city). There are still a significant number of Christians in Sudan,’ Racho said.” Read more.
Iran Vows to Never Give Up ‘Peaceful’ Nuke Program, Threatens to Fire 11,000 Missiles Inside the United States if Attacked
When Iran continues to insist that they will never give up their nuclear program because it is only intended for “peaceful” purposes, make no mistake about it: Iran’s vision of “peace” is a world without Israel and a world without America. Iran believes that a war to eradicate these enemies is “divinely appointed” and will hasten the arrival of the “Islamic savior” of mankind who will then force the world to submit to Allah. In Islam, the only way that a Muslim can be guaranteed Paradise is if they die for the sake of Allah. The theocratic death cult of Iran will make every effort to wage nuclear war, and any possibility of “mutually assured destruction” will not be a deterrent. It will be an incentive …
Daniel 8:25a, “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify [himself] in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many …”
“I find the Mahdi recorded in the books of the Prophets… For instance, the Book of Revelation says: ‘And I saw and behold a white horse. He that sat on him… went forth conquering and to conquer.’ … It is clear that this man is the Mahdi who will ride the white horse and judge by the Qur’an (with justice) and with whom will be men with marks of prostration (zabiba) on their foreheads… The Mahdi will offer the religion of Islam to the Jews and Christians; if they accept it they will be spared, otherwise they will be killed.” (Al Mahdi and the End of Time (1997), by Muhammad Ibn Izzat and Muhammad Arif, p. 16).

“PanARMENIAN.Net – The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon says his country has the capability ‘to fire thousands of missiles at enemy bases in case of an attack against the Islamic Republic.’
According to Press TV, Ghazanfar Roknabadi said Iran is keeping a watchful eye on the slightest possibility of a military threat, and would fire 11,000 missiles into identified positions in the United States, Israel or their interests worldwide, should its nuclear installations come under attack.
He said Iran is following a defensive stance, stressing, however, that the country would respond with full force to any potential attack.
Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said earlier that ‘Israel will not have a minimal chance of survival after venturing a military attack against Iran, as Iranian armed forces will pound all of Israel with thousands of missiles.'” Source – PanArmenian.net.
Iran: We’ll Never Give Up Our Nuclear Program – “Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency reiterated Thursday that his country ‘is ready to re-engage with (the) IAEA’ but continued to insist his country’s nuclear program is exclusively for peaceful purposes. ‘A new chapter is open,’ Ali Asghar Soltanieh was quoted by CNN as having told reporters at the IAEA board of governors meeting in Vienna, Austria. He added, however, that Iran ‘will never ever suspend our nuclear activities.'” Read more.

Gaza: Palestinians Fire at Least 92 Rockets at Southern Israel, PA President Condemns Israel for Protecting Itself
Jerusalem Post – “Palestinian terrorists fired 92 rockets from Gaza into southern Israel since Friday night, leaving eight Israelis injured in the heaviest series of attacks in months. The barrages came in response to an IAF strike which killed the secretary general of the Popular Resistance Committees, Zuhair Qaisi.
The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted at least five rockets fired from the Gaza Strip at Beersheba, Ashdod and Ashkelon early Saturday morning. In total, 25 rockets have been intercepted by the system since the beginning of the escalation on Friday.
A Palestinian rocket fired from Gaza landed in Beersheba early Saturday morning, activating air raid sirens and sending residents fleeing for cover. Police said that the rocket caused damage to a building. No injuries were reported in that attack.
In the Be’er Tuvia area, police located a rocket explosion site. The windows of a home were shattered and a car was damaged. No injuries were reported.
In the Eshkol Regional Council area, a 40-year-old man was seriously injured in the attacks. A second man was moderately injured by shrapnel to his stomach and a third was lightly injured. Paramedics said the injured appeared to be foreign workers. An electric pole and a vehicle were also damaged in the attack.
The injured were taken to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot and the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, as well as the Soroka Medical Center in Be’ersheba.
The IAF struck targets in Gaza overnight Friday and Saturday morning in response to the rocket attacks. 14 Palestinians – 10 of them members of Islamic Jihad – were killed in the strikes and another 20 were injured, according to Palestinian news agency Ma’an.” Read more.
Netanyahu: Strike of Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Possible Within Months, Asks America for Bunker Busters and Refueling Planes
By Jonathan Lis – “An attack on Iran could take place within a matter of months, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a series of television interviews on Thursday.
‘We’re not standing with a stopwatch in hand,’ he said. ‘It’s not a matter of days or weeks, but also not of years. The result must be removal of the threat of nuclear weapons in Iran’s hands.’
Netanyahu gave separate interviews to all three Israeli television stations, the first he has given since his return from Washington earlier this week. The full interviews will air on Saturday night, but excerpts were broadcast Thursday.
‘I hope there won’t be a war at all, and that the pressure on Iran will succeed,’ the prime minister stressed, noting that his preferred choice would be for Iran to halt its nuclear program and dismantle the uranium enrichment facility located in an underground site near Qom. ‘That would make me happiest,’ he said. ‘I think every citizen of Israel would be happy.’
‘Making decisions isn’t the problem; it’s making the right decision,’ Netanyahu added. ‘If you don’t make the decision and don’t succeed in preventing this [an Iranian nuke], to whom will you explain this – to the historians? To the generations before you, and the generations that won’t come after you?'” Read more.
Israel asks U.S. for advanced ‘bunker-buster’ bombs and refueling planes for Iran strike – “Israel has asked the United States for advanced ‘bunker-buster’ bombs and refueling planes that could improve its ability to attack Iran’s underground nuclear sites, an Israeli official said on Thursday. ‘Such a request was made’ around the time of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington this week, the official said, confirming media reports. But the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the issue, played down as ‘unrealistic’ Israeli reports that the United States would condition supplying the hardware on Israel promising not to attack Iran this year.” Read more.
‘Punish the Victim and Crush the Innocent’: Egyptian Court Gives Priest Six-Month Prison Sentence for Fixing Church Damaged After Muslim Attack
Welcome to the ancient land of the Pharaohs, where the dictates of the Muslim Brotherhood’s “[Repressed] Freedom and [Anything But] Justice Party” will warmly welcome you to a new era of Egyptian society …
“CAIRO, Egypt, March 7 (CDN) — A priest in Egypt was sentenced this week to six months in jail for a minor construction violation at his church building, while no one in a mob that burned the same structure down has been arrested.
The Rev. Makarious Bolous of the Mar Gerges Church in Aswan was sentenced on Sunday (March 4), but neither the imams who called for the attack nor the Muslim villagers who destroyed the church building last September have been charged with any crime.
Bolous said the ruling, coupled with the absence of prosecution against those who burned down the church building, is clear evidence of persecution and a legal double standard between Christians and Muslims.
‘I feel it is unjust,’ Bolous said. ‘It’s not fair.’
The lower court that made the ruling also fined Bolous 300 Egyptian pounds (US$50). Bolous remained free Tuesday (March 6) awaiting appeal.
Local government officials said the building was 2.5 meters taller than what they had approved on a series of architectural drawings. Bolous said the citation was issued days after the fire.
The priest said the charges surprised him. A significant percentage of construction projects in Egypt are done without permits, he said, and even when permits are issued, adherence to their stipulations is casual and enforcement is lax. The village where the church building once stood is surrounded by homes that have two or three extra floors built outside of permitted specifications and by others that were built with no permit at all, according to Bolous.” Read more.
In the New Egypt, It’s ‘Punish the Victim and Crush the Innocent’ – “The Copts are the Christians of Egypt who represent about 12% of Egypt’s 84 million people. Over the past two weeks, a new and ugly campaign has been waged against Copts. At least eight Coptic families have been evicted from their homes in the al-Nahda village, Amereyah, near Alexandria, following unconfirmed accusations against a Copt of having an affair with a Muslim woman. Even though the accused quickly surrendered himself to the police for investigation, some 5000 village people, incited by Salafists and other Islamist groups, went on a violent rampage, collectively punishing the few Coptic families that live in the area, burning and ransacking their houses and their property. To make things worse, a ‘council’ dominated by these Islamists was convened, in the presence of and approval of the area’s chief of the police. This “council” decided to evict eight families from the village.” Read more.
‘Alarming’: Muslims Announce Plans to ‘Eradicate’ Christianity
By Michael Carl – “Members of the Muslim jihadist group Boko Haram are vowing to ‘eradicate Christianity’ in Nigeria.
Reports coming out of Nigeria over the past several days show that the group whose name means ‘Western education is evil’ is launching a new terror campaign aimed at killing Christians and Jews in northern Nigeria.
The Nigerian news site Bikya Masr reports that the jihadi group has declared war on all Christians living in northern Nigeria.
Human-rights group International Christian Concern’s Jonathan Racho confirms the reports and says the news is ‘alarming.’
‘The reports indicate that members of Boko Haram recently declared a war on Christians in northern Nigeria. The group vowed to eradicate Christians from certain areas in Nigeria,’ Racho said.
‘The spokesman for the group (Boko Haram) say the group will launch a number of attacks targeting Christians,’ Racho said. ‘So there are alarming developments even as we speak.’
Estimates put the casualties in Boko Haram’s campaign at more than 100 dead since Christmas.
United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs press service IRIN reports that in the past 48 hours, more than 100 children have fled Nigerian for Chad to escape Boko Haram’s violent rampage.
Human Rights Watch also reports that since Christmas, Boko Haram has burned more than a dozen schools.
Racho confirms the casualty figures.
‘Boko Haram has already killed hundreds. Since Christmas alone, the group has martyred about 100 Christians in northern Nigeria,’ Racho said.
‘They think they have not met their goals for eradicating Christians,’ Racho said. ‘They are prepared for more bloodshed.'” Read more.
Boko Haram Continues Deadly Church Attacks, Frees Members from Prison – “Radical Islamic group Boko Haram attacked two churches, a police station holding prisoners, and a government building in the town of Konduga in a rampage of violence that killed at least two people and sent residents running for their lives Tuesday night. Boko Haram, reportedly translated as ‘Western Education is Forbidden,’ aims to avenge Muslim deaths and eradicate Western beliefs and practices. Boko Haram is responsible for several deadly attacks throughout Nigeria, including the bombing of the U.N. headquarters, and the bombing of a prison that held many of the group’s members — the bombing allowed many of those members to escape.” Read more.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei Praises President Obama for Calming War Drums
In other words, the man who recently called for the annihilation of all Jews worldwide is thanking President Barack Obama for his support. When the “Hitler” of the 21st century praises you for doing something “good” in their favor, something is very wrong …
“Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Thursday praised US President Barack Obama for recent remarks in which he warned against ‘beating the drums of war.’
Calling Obama’s statement good, and a ‘departure from the illusion,’ Khamenei nonetheless criticized the US president for his steadfast advocacy of continued sanctions against Iran. It is a mistake to think Iran can be brought to its knees, Khamenei told a gathering of the clerical council, the Assembly of Experts.
At a White House press conference Tuesday on the heels of the AIPAC conference, Obama warned against the ‘casualness’ of talk of possible military action and American politicians’ ‘beating the drums of war,’ saying those who speak so loosely should consider the consequences of their words.
There would be consequences for the United States as well as Israel if a premature strike is launched on Iran, he added.” Read more.

It is a ‘jurisprudential justification’ to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.’” Read more.
The United States of Islam: ‘The Arab World is Ready for the State of Caliphate’ and to ‘Affirm the Principles of Sharia Laws in the Minds of People’ and the Beginning of Jihad
Here is a very good article that I highly recommend which reveals why a “specter is haunting the Middle East … the specter of Caliphate” in which the Arab world is now ready “to affirm the principles of Sharia Laws in the minds of people” and see the Ummah (the Islamic world) “united into a single religious and cultural realm with the main goal—the beginning of Jihad.” Sound familiar? …
By Alexander Maistrovoy – “‘A specter is haunting Europe—the specter of Communism.’ These were the first words of Karl Marx’s ‘The Communist Manifesto’. More than a century later a different specter has appeared on the threshold of the Old World – the Specter of Caliphate.
A year ago Muhammad Badie—the General Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood – stated: ‘improvement and change that the Muslim nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice and by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death, just as the enemies pursue life’.
According to Badie, the ultimate purpose of Arabs is to restore the true face of the Muslim world, which is the State of the Caliphate with Sharia Laws – the sacred and the highest form of human civilization.
A veteran member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Sheikh Ahmad Gad called ‘honorable Al-Azhar to rally the Islamic streams in order to unite the Muslim word and effort, restore the Caliphate… O Allah, guide us, open our hearts to faith, and restore this nation to its previous self—one united nation worshiping You and You alone’.
Dr. Kamal Al-Helbawy, former Muslim Brotherhood spokesman in the West named this future Caliphate—’the United States of Islam’. He implied that Arabs want to erase borders that were drawn up by imperialist nations and build global Islamic State.
This is how another Egyptian Islamic Scholar Ibrahim Al-Khouli has formulated the concept of the Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Forget about Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. That’s not what I’m talking about. I am talking about Jihad which is led by the Islamic scholars … I am talking about the Jihad of the entire nation. We must conduct jihad against the West, who are aggressors against the Land of Islam’.
One can talk about the democratization of the Arab world, the ‘Arab Spring’, and liberalization of the Arab society. However, this observation is only external – from another Time and another World – from the West of the XXI century. An internal perspective is completely different. It’s derived from depths of centuries, and it is reflected in the lexis of Badie and Gad, Al-Helbawy and Al-Khouli, Sheikh Yousef Qaradawi (‘Constantinople was conquered in 1453 by a 23-year-old Ottoman named Muhammad ibn Murad, whom we call Muhammad the Conqueror. Now what remains is to conquer Rome’) and Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Ahmad Hussein who said: ‘The Hour [of Resurrection] will not come until you fight the Jews…. Our war with the descendants of the apes and pigs (i.e.,Jews) is a war of religion and faith’.
Lastly, Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani declared that no efforts will be spared to spr Read more…
Iranian ‘Good Will Gesture’ to Allow UN Inspectors Apparently Comes With One Stipulation: Give Us Time to Clean Up the Incriminating Evidence First
Associated Press – “TEHRAN, Iran – Iran will grant U.N. inspectors access to a military complex where the U.N. nuclear agency suspects secret atomic work has been carried out, the semi-official ISNA news agency reported Tuesday.
Tehran had previously banned U.N. inspectors from visiting the Parchin installation, southeast of Tehran, but a statement by Iran’s permanent envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency said the visit will now be allowed in a gesture of good will.
However, it would require an agreement between the two sides on a guidelines for the inspection, ISNA reported.
Inspecting Parchin was a key request made by senior IAEA teams that visited Tehran in January and February. Iran rebuffed those demands at the time, as well as attempts by the nuclear agency’s team to question Iranian officials and secure other information linked to the allegations of secret weapons work.
The latest development comes a day after IAEA chief, Yukiya Amano, expressed growing concern that there was new activity at Parchin. Amano did not specify whether he believed the activity was linked to suspected new weapons experiments or attempts to clean up previous alleged work.” Read more.
AP: Iran may be cleaning up nuke work – “VIENNA (AP) – Satellite images of an Iranian military facility show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating that crews were trying to clean it of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told the Associated Press on Wednesday. Two of the diplomats said the crews may be trying to erase evidence of tests of a small neutron device used to set off a nuclear explosion. A third diplomat could not confirm that but said any attempt to trigger a so-called neutron initiator at the Parchin site could only be in the context of trying to develop nuclear arms. The images, provided to the IAEA by member countries, are recent and constantly updated, said one of the diplomats.” Read more.
Canada: Canadian Muslim Youth Group Tied to al-Qaeda Stripped of Charitable Status
By Sarah Boesveld – “A Canadian Muslim youth organization has been stripped of its charitable status after a Canada Revenue Agency investigation linked it to a Saudi-based group that allegedly financed Islamist terror campaigns.
An audit of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth revealed the charity had developed ties to a number of organizations that allegedly helped fund al-Qaeda operations around the world and failed to comply with a number of standards required for charities to maintain their status.
In a warning letter to the Toronto-area organization last summer, CRA director-general Cathy Hawara said ‘our analysis of the Organization’s operations has led the CRA to believe…[it] was established to support the goals and operations of its parent organization, located in Saudi Arabia, which has been alleged to support terrorism.’
WAMY, known in Canada for running Islamic camps and pilgrimages for youth, was stripped of its status on Feb. 11. It failed to keep proper books and records, maintain a specific charitable purpose and distinguish itself from parent organization WAMY (Saudi Arabia), which had been alleged to support terrorist activity, the CRA audit said.
‘The audit findings did not reveal any apparent separation between the activities of WAMY (Saudi Arabia) and WAMY, with all related financial and operating positions being made by WAMY (Saudi Arabia),’ it reads. ‘This leads to a reasonable inference that WAMY has little or no independent function; therefore it cannot be concluded that it is carrying out its own charitable activities for which it is registered.’
WAMY in Canada also appears to have a director, contact information and bank account in common with the Benevolence International Fund in Canada, whose assets were frozen by the Canadian government in 2002 because it was linked to attempts by Osama bin Laden to acquire nuclear and chemical weapons.” Read more.
‘Complete Disregard for Human Life’: Al Qaeda Kills 25 Policemen in Iraq, 184 Soldiers in Yemen
AP – “BAGHDAD – A gang of gunmen disguised in military-style uniforms and carrying forged arrest warrants killed 25 police Monday, then hoisted the battle flag of Al Qaeda in a carefully planned early morning shooting spree in western Iraq, officials said.
The killings in Haditha highlight Al Qaeda’s success in regaining a foothold in an area they once dominated through police executions and murdering city officials.
By going after police, the militants demonstrate to the residents of Haditha, a desert city closer to the Syrian border than to Baghdad, how isolated they are from the central government’s protection and intimidate those who want to join the security forces.
The city’s proximity to the border, just 65 miles away, means it is vital territory to Al Qaeda if they want to ramp up operations in Syria to help overthrow the government of President Bashar Assad. Already, Sunni militants who revile Assad because he’s a member of an offshoot religion of Shiism are crossing from Iraq into Syria.
The killings carried out by Al Qaeda Monday morning demonstrated a high degree of coordination, knowledge of their targets and a boldness that indicated little fear of the local security forces ability to fight back.” Read more.
Huge death toll doubles in Yemen ‘slaughter’ by Al Qaeda affiliated Islamists – “The death toll from a sophisticated attack by Islamic extremists against soldiers in Yemen jumped to 184 Tuesday, three Yemeni officials told CNN. Air raids on militant positions since the attack have left at least 42 militants dead in Abyan province, security officials said. The attack Sunday at an army base by Ansar al-Sharia, which is allied with al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), originally claimed the lives of 90 soldiers and wounded many others. A spokesman for the Yemeni Embassy in Washington issued a statement giving a much lower death toll, saying ’73 martyrs’ died in the ‘battles in Abyan.’ But officials on the ground in Abyan gave CNN the higher death toll. The attack ‘illustrates AQAP’s complete disregard for human life,’ U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a statement.” Read more.
