Hamas Ends ‘Ceasefire’ with Israel – “Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, called off a ceasefire with Israel late Friday, Hamas’ Al-Aqsa radio reported. According to the report, which was quoted by the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency, Hamas will allow terror factions in Gaza to respond to Israeli attacks in the Strip. Those ‘attacks’ come in response to provocations by the same terror groups in Gaza, such as Thursday’s multiple attacks near Eilat or the barrage of rockets which were fired at Israel from Gaza on Friday. A representative of the militant group was quoted as having said, ‘There can be no truce with the Israeli occupation while it commits massacres against the Palestinian people without justification.'” Read more.
Egyptian demonstrators call for cancellation of peace treaty – “Egyptian demonstrators have held an angry protest outside the Israeli embassy in Cairo, over claims that up to five Egyptian security personnel were killed on Thursday. Protesters burnt the Israeli flag and chanted, ‘Close the embassy! Expel the ambassador’ and demanded on Friday the resignation of the Israeli ambassador and the cancellation of a peace treaty between the countries. The protest carried on throughout the night, with demonstrators bringing down the metal barriers surrounding the embassy and stomping on them, Al Jazeera correspondent Rawya Rageh reported from the scene. ‘People are still gathered outside the embassy and they are making quite a lot of noise. The protesters are insisting on making their voices heard and one of the protesters told me that they have no intention of leaving until the Israeli flag, perched on top of the 20th floor of the apartment building is brought down.’ our reporter said.” Read more.
Pakistan: Dozens Killed After Suicide Bomber Attacks Mosque in Ghundi
“PESHAWAR, Pakistan – A suicide bomber struck a mosque in a Pakistani tribal region during Friday prayers, officials said, killing at least 40 people and wounding 85 others in the deadliest attack in the country in recent weeks.
The attack came during the holy month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, sharing and heightened community spirit for Muslims.
No group immediately claimed responsibility, but the Taliban and other Islamist militants have previously targeted mosques, especially if they believe enemies — such as army soldiers or anti-militant tribesmen — are using the facilities.
The mosque hit Friday is in Ghundi, a village in the Khyber tribal region, a part of Pakistan’s tribal belt. Khyber has long been a base for Islamist militants, and the Pakistani army has waged multiple operations aimed at pacifying the region but with limited success.
Khyber also is a key region for the U.S. and NATO, because a large portion of non-lethal supplies heading to U.S. forces in Afghanistan passes through it.
Some 300 people had gathered for prayers Friday afternoon in the Sunni mosque, and many were on their way out when the explosion occurred, local administrator Iqbal Khan said.
‘All the evidence we have gathered confirms that it is a suicide attack,’ said Fazal Khan, another local official who also confirmed the casualty figures. He said witnesses alleged the bomber was a young man.” Read more.

Pakistan: At Least 33 Killed in 24 Hours of Violence in Karachi
By Reza Sayah – “Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) — A former federal lawmaker is among at least 33 people killed in a fresh spate of violence over the past 24 hours in the Pakistani city of Karachi, police officials said Thursday.
Several gunmen opened fire on Wajid Karimdad on Wednesday night shortly after he entered a restaurant for Iftar, the traditional post-fasting meal during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, said Karachi police official Naeem Shah.
Police suspect the gunmen targeted Karimdad, a member of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party.
Most of the deaths on Wednesday night and Thursday morning were the result of drive-by shootings in Lyari and Baldia, two districts in Karachi that have been hit hard by years of ethnic and political violence.
Some of the victims were shot to death after they were kidnapped, Shah told CNN.
Officials say the killings appear to be linked to ongoing rivalries between three political parties vying for power in Pakistan largest city: the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Awami National Party (ANP), and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
The PPP, led by President Asif Ali Zardari, views Karachi as a crucial political battleground, but politics in Pakistan’s economic hub are dominated by the MQM, which represents ‘muhajirs,’ descendants of immigrants from India decades ago.” Read more.

Gaza and the West Bank: Palestinian Authority Teaches 5-Year-Olds to Die for Allah
By Maayana Miskin – “A Palestinian Authority kindergarten showed off what its young students had learned over the past year by having the five-year-olds act out scenes of terror and death for their families. The parents were moved to tears upon seeing their children pretend to die as ‘martyrs,’ Palestinian Media Watch reported reported.
During the graduation ceremony two plays were performed – one based on ‘Little Red Riding Hood,’ the second, ‘The Martyr’s Wedding,’ a story glorifying death in battle with Israel for the sake of Islam.
‘Another performance named ‘The Martyr’s Wedding’ delighted the audience due to the role-play of the children, whose acting depicted the reality of roadblocks, children, occupation, soldiers, and the children’s death as Martyrs,’ wrote the PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, in a report picked up and translated by Palestinian Media Watch.” Read more.

After allegations of an animal theft, Ferom was attacked twice on 4 August with eight members of one family killed in the first attack and a further three people killed in the second. Canada: ‘Humble’ and ‘Well Respected’ Islamic Leader of Scarborough Mosque Charged With String of Sex assaults
By Chloé Fedio and Curtis Rush – “Members of a Scarborough mosque have expressed shock and disbelief that their ‘nice’ and ‘humble’ religious leader has been charged with a string of sexual assaults.
Mohammad Masroor, the imam at the Baitul Mukarram Islamic Society on Danforth Ave., faces 13 charges involving sexual offences and death threats relating to five alleged victims.
Police said Masroor, 48, travelled the world before settling in Toronto in 2008, and believe there could be more victims, here and abroad.
Abdur Rouf Tarafdar was one of more than a dozen people who vouched for Masroor’s pious character as he left afternoon prayer on Wednesday.
‘I know him. Behind him I pray,’ he said.
Abdul Fattah Aboud, an imam at the Baitul Aman Masjid mosque a few blocks away, said the father of five used to wave as he passed by on his way to prayer.
‘Is it possible? Someone like him?’ he said. ‘He’s a very well respected person in the community.'” Read more.
Flashback: UK Epidemic – Muslim Taxi Drivers Raping British Girls & Women – “Recently a BBC announcer was sacked/fired for requesting a ‘non Asian taxi driver’ to transport her young unaccompanied 14 year old daughter. (Out of concern for her daughter’s fears/mental well being & safety) Of course, the ‘racist’ club was trotted out by the mainstream media and others to verbally bludgeon Sam Mason for having the audacity to demand an ‘English driver’. But was Sam Mason really exposing her racism or was she reacting, as any mother would, to the facts that there is a ongoing epidemic of muslim taxi driver rapes in the UK? (Note: the media prefers the more vague term ‘Asian’)” Read more.
Flashback: Norwegian Authorities Covering Up Muslim Rapes; Rapist: Women Have No Rights or Opinions in Islam – “There has been a spike in the number of rape charges in Scandinavia in recent years. It has reached near epidemic proportions in Sweden… This trend is not exclusive to Scandinavia. It is the same all over Western Europe wherever we find significant numbers of Muslim immigrants. In fact, the number of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants in Western nations is so extremely high that it is difficult to view them only as random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. German journalist Gudrun Eussner considers this to be ‘sexuality as a weapon against disobedient and non-Muslim women, both categorized as ‘unbelievers’. Against them jihad is the duty, and what to do with women ‘conquered’ in jihad, this may be read in the Qur’an: they become slaves to be used by the victors.’” Read more.
CAIR Demands That Rep. Allen West Stop Associating with Non-Pro-Islamic Groups, West Responds With a Four-Letter Word …
… and the Muslim Brotherhood-linked CAIR just can’t seem to figure out why Rep. Allen West refuses to submit to these Islamists and instead simply replies to their demands with the word ‘NUTS’. I guess it’ll have to be spelled out for CAIR: ‘NUTS’ [nuhts] Slang (interjection) – 1. Also, nerts, nertz. Used to express disgust, defiance, disapproval, despair; 2. (Adjective) insane; crazy.
Well said, Mr. West …
“FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – A South Florida Muslim group sent Congressman Allen West a letter asking him to disassociate himself from activists the group considers anti-Islamic.
Congressman West did respond and the letter he sent back is raising some eyebrows.
If it looks like the shortest letter you’ve ever seen from a member of congress, it probably is. How short? Try one word, in capital letters: ‘NUTS!’
‘I was shocked at first. I didn’t expect this from a congressman,’ said Nezar Hamze, the executive director of CAIR Florida — the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
‘We stand up for the civil rights of the Muslim community. That’s what we do,’ said Hamze.
Hamze says he wrote to the Republican Congressman earlier this month with his concerns about the Congressman’s relationships with groups and people Hamze considers to be anti-Islamic.
‘When I first saw that, I wasn’t sure if he was calling me nuts, or he was calling my concerns nuts,’ said Hamze.
Constituents in West’s district 22 are just now reading the letter.
‘It doesn’t look too professional to me. It doesn’t look thought out,’ said one constituent named Chuck.
Simone Oliver, another district 22 constituent thinks it’s fine, but says it needs a little more.
‘Maybe another sentence, explaining,’ she said.
West has not fully explained his position, but in other letters to CAIR Florida, he has said he is neither anti-Islamic nor anti-Muslim.
Then CBS4 News discovered that during World War II, General Anthony McAuliffe famously wrote a one-word letter to the Germans in response to a surrender ultimatum. The word used: ‘Nuts!'” Read more.
CAIR promises to fight against legislation that bans implementation of ‘foreign laws’ – “Muslim leaders are saying a piece of legislation proposed by Rep. Dave Agema (R-Grandville) is actually an attack on Islam. In June, Agema proposed legislation that would ban the implementation of foreign laws. While the language of the proposal does not say it directly, it would ban Sharia or Islamic law. Agema told the Detroit News that the law is intended to preserve American laws.” Read more.

Libya: Rebels Believe They Will Topple Gaddafi by the End of August
If Gaddafi falls, expect Obama to tout his ‘leadership’ and take credit the following day. When the Islamists take over, expect Obama to deny that he had anything to do with Libya …

By Richard Spencer – “Abdel-Elah al-Khatib, the former Jordanian foreign minister appointed by the United Nations to try to negotiate an end to the conflict, said he was meeting representatives of both sides of the Libyan conflict in Tunisia.
The rebel leaders’ Transitional National Council denied that its representatives were involved, but no such claim came from the Gaddafi regime.
The rebels now believe they have no need to offer concessions on their demand for Col Gaddafi to leave Libya or surrender, after cutting off his supply lines in the last four days.
Mansur Saif Al-Nasser, their ambassador to France, said they hoped to have secured victory by the end of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan in two weeks’ time.
‘Our forces totally control Zawiyah, which will open the way to Tripoli,’ he said in a radio interview. ‘This will allow the population there to revolt.
We are entering a decisive phase.
‘Soon we will liberate all of southern Libya. We hope to celebrate the final victory at the same time as the end of Ramadan.’
Nato leaders are also increasingly confident that the war is moving towards an endgame. ‘I think the sense is that Gaddafi’s days are numbered,’ the new US defence secretary, Leon Panetta, said in Washington.” Read more.

Iran Warns Israelis They Should Flee or Face Annihilation, ‘Netanyahu Should Prepare Himself for the Cage’
By Reza Kahlili – “Iran is warning Israel that its citizens should flee the Middle East or face annihilation.
The chief commander of Iran’s Basiji forces, Brig. Gen. Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, recently stated that Iran has no option but to destroy Israel. Ratcheting up the war of words, Naghdi is now threatening Israelis in the ‘occupied lands’ that they are surrounded by mujahedeen of Islam bent on their destruction.
‘I quote our supreme leader, Imam Khamenei, who clearly stated during the recent gathering of the leadership’s elite that Zionists are now encircled by those who are willing to wage jihad for Islam, and that those concerned for their safety and well-being should quickly go back to the countries they left behind,’ Naghdi told the Fars News agency, the media outlet for the Revolutionary Guards.
When asked by the Fars News reporter about what he called empty threats by the Zionist government against Muslims, Naghdi responded: ‘(Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu and the Zionists don’t even have the capability to keep the Hamas mujahedeen in check, let alone take it upon themselves to devise plans and plots for Muslims elsewhere. Our response to all the threats is that the heads of the Zionist government and Mr. Netanyahu should prepare themselves for the cage (prison).’
Referring to the imprisonment and ultimate indictment of Islamic mujahedeen in the prisons of the former Egyptian dictator, Hosni Mubarack, Naghdi added: ‘The time for jailing Islamic mujahedeen has come to an end, and the time of caging kings and obstinate rulers is upon us.’
Citing the Quran, Naghdi emphasized that the payback awaiting ‘these kings and other cruel tyrants around the world’ will be much worse than what they did to the Islamic mujahedeen.” Read more.
Precursor to Armageddon? Hizbullah MP Believes That Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Hizbullah (Lebanon) Will Wipe Out Israel – “Hizbullah MP Brig.-Gen. Walid Sakariya (Ret) – ‘Iran is the country most hostile to Israel, but Iraq serves as a buffer between Iran and the Palestine front – from the days of Saddam Hussein and until the US military presence in Iraq. Iran supports the forces of confrontation: Hamas, Hizbullah, and Syria. If, following the US withdrawal, Iraq becomes a bridge linking Iran to Syria, the Iranian forces could cross Iraq and arrive in Syria, in order to participate in a direct war on the Golan front. In that case, Israel would not be fighting Hizbullah alone. It would be fighting Hizbullah, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. This is the so-called ‘Shiite Crescent’ that they fear. Since Iran dominates this (axis), the Arab countries refer to it as the ‘Shiite Crescent.’ If Hizbullah has 50,000 missiles and can destroy some targets in Israel, the equation will completely change when Syria and Iran join the war.'” Read more.
Brace for Another U.S.-Mideast War
By Aaron Klein – “JERUSALEM – Turkey secretly passed a message to Damascus last week that if it does not implement major democratic reforms, NATO may attack Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime, according to Egyptian security officials speaking to WND.
The Egyptian security officials said the message was coordinated with NATO members, specifically with the U.S. and European Union.
Assad has been widely accused of ordering massacres on militants and protesters engaged in an insurgency targeting his regime.
The Egyptian officials said Turkish leaders, speaking for NATO, told Assad that he has until March to implement democratization that would allow free elections as well as major constitutional reforms.
The officials said the NATO message demanded Assad halt attacks against the insurgency and begin the process of democratization immediately.
Last week it was widely reported Turkey gave the Syrian government a two-week ultimatum to come up with a set of reforms and asked Assad’s regime to withdraw its security forces from protest cities.
The reports, however, did not mention any message passed to Assad on behalf of NATO.
Yesterday, the Spanish newspaper El Pais reported Spain sent a secret mission to Syria in July to attempt to find a solution to the current conflict there and offer asylum to Assad and his family.
While it is not clear what form any NATO military action would take against Assad’s regime, the Egyptian security officials told WND they would expect such action to mimic the international coalition that has been targeting Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi.” Read more.
