By Yossi Melman – “Israel expects the next war against Hezbollah will last two months, during which 24,000 to 36,000 rockets and missiles are expected to be launched at Israel − about 6,000 of them aimed at Tel Aviv, Wikileaks documents reveal.

Telegrams sent from the U.S. Embassy summing up talks between American and Israeli officials in November 2009 cite a Mossad official as saying Hezbollah is expected to launch 400-600 missiles at Israel a day − 100 of which will be aimed at Tel Aviv, over the course of two months.” Read more.

“(CBS/AP) WASHINGTON – The United States may consider sending troops into Libya with a possible international ground force that could aid the rebels, according to the general who led the military mission until NATO took over.

Army Gen. Carter Ham also told lawmakers Thursday that added American participation would not be ideal, and ground troops could erode the international coalition and make it more difficult to get Arab support for operations in Libya.

Ham said the operation was largely stalemated now and was more likely to remain that way since America has transferred control to NATO.”  Read more.

“WASHINGTON – An exiled Iranian opposition group says its spies have found a major parts factory for Iran’s uranium enrichment machines, a critical part of Tehran’s secretive nuclear program.

The Mujahedeen-e Khalq said Thursday that over the past 4 1/2 years Iran’s Defence Ministry has secretly used a factory west of Tehran to produce parts for tens of thousands of enrichment centrifuges. These machines can make low-enriched uranium fuel for nuclear power plants or highly-enriched uranium for nuclear weapons.”  Read more.

Islamic Conquest – Past and Present

I highly recommend listening to the full radio interview below.  Length: 45 minutes.

“Most Americans have no idea about the violent history of Islam. Master historian Bill Federer brings to light the facts and connections of Islam that every American needs to know.

Within 100 years of Mohammed’s death, Muslim warriors were just outside of Paris, having conquered North Africa, the Holy Land, Persian, and Spain. From the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, the Umayyad Muslim Caliphate, and later the Ottoman Empire, were for centuries the largest empires in the world!

At present, the Muslim Brotherhood – along with its many international subdivisions – is attempting to form an international caliphate of Muslim nations. What has happened in the Middle East this past month emphasizes the danger.”

Al Qaeda Making a Comeback in Afghanistan

By MATTHEW ROSENBERG And JULIAN E. BARNES – “In late September, U.S. fighter jets streaked over the cedar-studded slopes of Korengal, the so-called Valley of Death, to strike a target that hadn’t been seen for years in Afghanistan: an al Qaeda training camp.

Among the dozens of Arabs killed that day, the U.S.-led coalition said, were two senior al Qaeda members, one Saudi and the other Kuwaiti. Another casualty of the bombing, according to Saudi media and jihadi websites, was one of Saudi Arabia’s most wanted militants. The men had come to Afghanistan to impart their skills to a new generation of Afghan and foreign fighters.

Even though the strike was successful, the very fact that it had to be carried out represents a troubling shift in the war. Nine years after a U.S.-led invasion routed almost all of al Qaeda’s surviving militants in Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden’s network is gradually returning.”  Read more.

By Amos Harel – “… The details released Monday indicate that Hamas has a well-developed missile industry.

In the past five years, the range of Qassam rockets apparently increased, with Abu Sisi’s alleged help, from six to 22 kilometers, though reported attempts to increase the range to 40 kilometers failed. The anti-tank missiles armor penetration capability increased from six to 26 centimeters.

According to the court indictment, Abu Sisi was also developing a mortar shell that could penetrate meter-thick armor and damage even a Merkava tank. It also says Hamas inquired about buying Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles and smuggling missiles that could strike at Israeli navy ships.” Read more.

Ivory Coast Islamists Accused of Massacering 1,000 Christians

04/04/2011 1 comment

News coming out of the Ivory Coast over the past 48 hours is painting a bleak picture involving a thousand civilians hacked to death with machetes by forces loyal to Muslim leader Alassane Ouattara:

U.S. pushing Muslim to replace Christian – WND – “The Ivory Coast is facing the forced Islamist takeover of its government, a move being pushed by the United States and United Nations, whose leaders reportedly are ignoring the nation’s own procedures that determined Laurent Gbagbo, a Christian, legitimately was re-elected president, according to a report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin…

The constitutional council had determined that there was sufficient evidence of vote-rigging in the northern part of the country controlled by Islamists to make the final determination that Gbagbo, the incumbent president, had won the hotly contested election last November.”

The next Rwanda? ‘In all districts of Abidjan there is gunfire’Herald Scotland – “A massacre in a Roman Catholic mission compound in the heart of the Ivory Coast’s cocoa-producing region could come to be seen as a crucial moment in the West African state’s escalating civil war… Early reports suggested that more than 800 people, largely from the Gbagbo-supporting Gueré tribe, were killed in a single day at the sprawling Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekoue, 300 miles west of Abidjan towards the Liberian border. The attackers seem to have been largely soldiers descended from Burkina Faso immigrant Muslim families loyal to Ouattara.”

Ivory Coast: aid workers find 1,000 bodies in DuekoueUK Telegraph – “Charity workers who reached Duekoue said it appeared the killings had taken place in a single day, shortly after the town fell to troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the man internationally-recognised as having won last year’s presidential election.”

By Reuters – “Operatives from Hamas, Hezbollah, and al Qaida are in Brazil planning attacks, raising money and recruiting followers, a leading Brazilian news magazine reported on Saturday.

The report renews prior concerns about the nation serving as a hide-out for Islamic militants.

Veja magazine, in its online edition, reported that at least 20 people affiliated with al Qaida as well as the Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim group Hezbollah, the Palestinian group Hamas and two other organizations have been hiding out in the South American country.
