Intelligence Agency Warns: Islamist Groups Have Become A Decentralized And Elusive “Swarm”

Like a decentralized and elusive swarm that is out to devour everything in its path such as, oh, say a swarm of locusts, perhaps? In the 12th Century an Islamic scholar named Abul Ala Mawdudi wrote a book describing the spiritual homestead of Islam — modern day Saudi Arabia — as the “Abyss of Darkness” to introduce non-Arab readers to Islam. Incidentally, the “locusts” of Revelation 9 are themselves described by John as coming out of the darkness of the Abyss …

By Thomas Escritt, Reuters – “Radical Islamist groups in the Netherlands have become a decentralized and elusive ‘swarm’ that may broaden their focus from the conflict in Syria to the wider Middle East, the Dutch intelligence service warned on Monday.

Its report reflects widespread concern in Europe at the threat posed by European citizens – mainly from Islamic immigrant milieus – leaving to fight in Middle East conflicts, then returning battle-hardened and posing security threats.

Dutch authorities estimate that 120 Dutch citizens have fought in Syria’s civil war, with 14 having died in combat, and that there are hundreds of jihadi militants in the country eyeing missions abroad, with thousands more sympathizers.

The Dutch General Intelligence and Security Agency (AIVD) said in its latest assessment of the threat posed by underground jihadi groups that they were stronger and more self-confident.

It said such militants continued to pose a ‘substantial’ threat to the Netherlands, one notch below the highest alert.

Most of the potential fighters were of Moroccan background although some were native Dutch converts to Islam.

The agency said the phenomenon was becoming ever harder to track as social media made it possible for increasingly ‘professionalised’ radical movements to coordinate themselves without the need for a centralised authority.

‘The movement has taken on the character of a swarm,’ the agency said. ‘There is a less hierarchical structure than at the turn of the millennium, which makes it more flexible, effective and less vulnerable to ‘attack’ from outside.’

European governments have struggled to stop their nationals, some just teenagers, from traveling to Syria where the conflict, which began as peaceful protests against President Bashar al-Assad and evolved into an armed rebellion is now in its fourth year. More than 160,000 people have been killed.

By Joe David, INN – “Call the enemy what you like – radicals, fundamentalists, Islamic terrorists, jihadists, or, historically, just plain Muslims. Connect the dots to their past activities, and you will uncover a disturbing pattern: a fanatical commitment to eliminating infidels.

Some of you may recall the American Embassy bombings (in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and in Nairobi, Kenya), and the brutal killings of innocent Westerners (Wall Street Journal Reporter Daniel Pearl, Businessman Nick Berg, and American Helicopter Engineer Paul Johnson). For those who don’t here are a few highlights from the past you may recall, which should help connect the dots.

  • The murder of Robert Kennedy by a Palestinian national, Sirhan Sirhan (1968);
  • The eleven Israeli athletes murdered during the Munich olympic games by Palestinians (1972);
  • The Beirut barracks’ massacre led by Hezbollah that killed several hundred military members (1983);
  • The Lockerbie, Scotland, bombing of a Pan American flight by Libyan terrorists, which killed 271 victims (1988);
  • The September 11th coordinated attack of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by al-Qaeda, which resulted in about 3,000 deaths and $10 billion in property damages (2001);
  • The shooting of 13 soldiers and the injuring of about 30 others at Fort Hood military base by a psychiatrist, shouting Allahu Akbar! (Allah is great) (2009);
  • The savage murder of the U.S. Ambassador and several others in Benghazi, Libya by jihadists (2012);
  • The Boston Marathon bombings, planned by two Chechen brothers, which killed 3 and injured 260 (2013);
  • And the kidnapping of about 230 Nigerian school girls by the Islamic terrorists, Boko Haram (2014).

History is replete with many more examples. Open your history books, the ones which haven’t been rewritten by revisionists, and this is what you will uncover:

  • In 622 AD, Mohamed, a camel driver, saw the light. It was revealed to him through the divine voice of Gabriel while he was in a religious trance, worshipping in a cave.  From 622 AD until his death in 632 AD, Mohamed followed this light and inspired others to do the same. During the subsequent wars, designed to expand Mohamed’s control in the Arabian Peninsula, he and his followers slaughtered non-believers, kidnapped women and children, and stole their land and gold.
  • After his death, his followers continued in his footsteps. Through war, they spread Islam beyond the borders of the Arabian Peninsula into India, North Africa, and even Spain.
  • In 732 AD, Charles Martel halted Muslim advances into Europe during the Battle of Tours, France. This defeat in Europe, though, didn’t end Islamic expansion; the Muslims continued to crush the infidels in other areas of the world, taking advantage of every opportunity available to them to murder and enslave.

Syrian Jihadists: “We Will Take Spain Back” For Islam

Judging from the problems Spain is already suffering because of spreading violence throughout the Islamic community, they’ll have plenty of help in taking it back …

The Local – “A top Spanish official has said country’s security forces were remaining ‘vigilant’ after two Syrian jihadists posted a video in which they promised to reclaim Spain in the name of Islam.

Interior Ministrry Secretary of State Francisco Martínez made the comments on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of news jihadists had posted the video.

‘Spain is the land of our grandfathers and we are going to take it back,’ say the two young men say in Spanish during the brief video.

Much of Spain was in Muslim hands from the eight century to the thirteenth century, but this rule was far from uniform in nature, and changed over time. Monuments including the Mezquita in Cordoba and the Alhambra Palace in Granada are a testament to the cultural richness of this period.

‘We are living under the Islamic flag and we are going to do for it (the flag) until we have reclaimed all the imprisoned lands, from Jakarta to Andalusia,’ the relaxed-looking men say .

The video appears on a site called Syriantube.net, a pro-government website which says it contains videos of Syrian army actions against rebel forces.

It was also posted on YouTube on Tuesday and has been watched just under 8,000 times.

Spanish press have described the men in the video as rebel soldiers, but it is not clearly which group or faction they belong to.” Read more.

By Frances Martel, Breitbart – “The jihadists terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) — now trying to rebrand as simply the ‘Islamic State‘ — have released a new map that outlines the territory they aspire to conquer within the next five years. That territory spans from Morocco and Spain out to Sri Lanka and the border of China.

The map, which surfaced on Twitter and has begun to be distributed widely throughout social media, paints in black every territory ISIS wishes to incorporate into the newly announced caliphate, which currently only spans, according to ISIS officials, throughout Syria (‘al-Sham’) and Iraq. The Daily Mail notes that the westernmost territory of the map, labeled ‘Maghreb,’ is the Western Sahara, including Mali, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and a host of other nations. In Europe, the western limits of the empire are Spain — ‘Al-Andaluz’ — a territory once controlled by Muslims in the Middle Ages. The map then incorporates almost every nation between Spain and the borders of China, as well as ‘Greece, Romania and Bulgaria – extending its territories in eastern Europe as far as Austria, which appears to be based on a pre-First World War borders of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.’

Since the map is not labeled using the political distinctions recognized by the rest of the world, it is unclear whether ISIS includes parts of China in their caliphate. Western China is home to millions of Muslims, many of the Uyghur ethnic minority. Uyghur separatists have been blamed for a recent string of terror attacks in Xinjiang, in the westernmost limits of the nation.

ABC News notes that the map began to surface on social media as ISIS made strides in conquering cities in Iraq, and was most widely disseminated as the terrorist group formalized the announcement of the caliphate under their leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The map is part of a larger propaganda effort meant in equal measure to attract Western Muslims to the cause of jihad and scare Iraqi and Syrian soldiers out of fighting against them.” Read more.

Others doubt the source claiming that the Saudi intelligence issued such tweets to smear the reputation of the ISIS.

With the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) having taken control of border posts in Iraq on the border with Jordan, putting Saudi Arabia’s security in danger, Saudi King Abdullah has put the army and security forces on the highest alert. According to the Saudi state-run news agency:

“Anticipating (that) the terrorist organizations or others might carry out actions that might disturb the security of the homeland, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has ordered taking all necessary measures to protect the gains of the homeland and its territories in addition to the security and stability of the Saudi people.”

Saudi reconnaissance planes have found ISIS terrorists heading for the Saudi border, aiming to seize control of the Iraqi-Saudi border crossing at Ar Ar.

Regardless, the destruction of sites associated with early Islam is a fact and has been an on-going phenomenon that has occurred mainly in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The demolition has focused on mosques, burial sites, homes and historical locations associated with the Prophet Muhammad and many of the founding personalities of early Islamic history. The reason for much of the demolitions is that Wahhabists and Salafists believe that Muslim traditionalists go too far and see that even touching objects is considered iconic and thus is viewed as idol worship.

What is also upsetting Muslim fundamentalists worldwide is the Las Vegas looking structures that were built overlooking the Ka’ba known as The Seven Towers, built by the Bin Laden Group on top of what is known as Mount Babel.

They study Bible Prophecy and are very aware of the text in Revelation and prepare to be the antithesis of what Christians believe; the white horse rider is the soon to come Mahdi and the ‘Euphrates’ in Revelation 9 to them is their Caliphate in Iraq and the one-third who are slain they consider it about them, the only true Muslims:

‘Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.’ (Revelation 9:14-15)

They even have their prophetic narrative which includes the peace treaty which they believe is made between the Muslims under the leadership of the Mahdi and the Roman (crusader Christian world) and speak of a battle between the two in which they believe that one-third of the Muslims will lose to join the Christians and betray Islam. These will be unforgiven and end up in hellfire. The other third will be martyred to enter paradise and yet another will gain the victory in Armageddon which they even spell out in their teachings.

The mission they have to to do is a great slaughter in which blood will be spilt as a river and heads will pile up in mounds. Indeed, on June 10 the Islamic State in Al-Sham (ISIS) burst upon the world with the capture of Mosul in Iraq, the effective obliteration of the Iraq/Syria border (and possibly the Iraqi state itself), a highly-self-publicized massacre of prisoners (some accounts say more than 1,700), the sudden creation of up to half a million internally displaced refugees in Iraq, and emphatic threats to eradicate Shia Muslim shrines, the Kingdom of Jordan, and (as of June 22) to do the United States more harm than Osama bin Laden ever did. In mid June, ISIS posted pictures on Twitter that appeared to show the massacre of 1,700 Iraqi soldiers after the fall of the city of Tikrit.” Read more.

Beginning Of The End? ISIS Declares Creation Of Caliphate, Sets Up Leader, Demands All Pledge Allegiance To Him

This eschatologically-minded new “caliphate” is now well on the path to self-fulfilling its own Islamic “prophecies” and, at this point, will not allow anyone to get in its way …

In an audio recording distributed online, the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) declared its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ‘the caliph’ and ‘leader for Muslims everywhere.’

The jihadists said they would impose their caliphate on areas they have conquered in Syria and Iraq.

‘The Shura (council) of the Islamic State met and discussed this issue (of the caliphate)… The Islamic State decided to establish an Islamic caliphate and to designate a caliph for the state of the Muslims,’ said ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani.

‘The jihadist preacher Baghdadi was designated the caliph of the Muslims,’ said Adnani, adding that the caliphate will extend ‘from Aleppo (in northern Syria) to Diyala’ in Iraq.

Baghdadi ‘has accepted this allegiance, and has thus become the leader for Muslims everywhere.’

‘The words ‘Iraq’ and ‘Greater Syria’ have been removed from the name of the Islamic State in official papers and documents,’ Adnani said, describing the caliphate as ‘the dream in all the Muslims’ hearts’ and ‘the hope of all jihadists.’

Ever since the Prophet Mohammad’s death, a caliph was designated ‘the prince’ or emir ‘of the believers.'” Read more.

The 7th empire was The Islamic/Ottoman Empire which controlled Jerusalem beginning in the 7th century, and ending in 1924 with the abolition of the Caliphate… A revived Caliphate, in whatever form it ultimately takes, will be in power for at least 3.5 ‘prophetic years’ or 1260 days, or 42 months. At this time I consider these periods to be actual time frames for this eschatonic Beast, which will reiterate what Islam already proclaims today — that Jesus is not the Son of God, that Jesus is not the Savior and that Christians are committing a great and unforgivable sin by associating Jesus with God and worshiping Him.” Read more.

Australia: Muslim Preacher Praises ISIS Beheadings, Calls Christians And Jews “Filthy”

And not just “filthy” in general, but “filthy rapists.” He must have missed the Mayhem Memos of Mohammedism where an Islamic cleric decreed it perfectly ok for Syrian rebels to rape women and where ISIS recently issued a pro-rape fatwa in northern Iraq …

In a series of online postings and videos Junaid Thorne, 24, has called on Muslims to defend their religion.

Junaid, who spent much of his youth in Saudi Arabia, sits in front of the black flag of al-Qaida breakaway group ISIS and calls on young Australian Muslims to reject their moderate leaders.

ISIS, also known as ISIL, has been responsible for the murders of unarmed Shi’ite Muslims and has posted grisly pictures of executions online in a bid to attract radicals from around the world.

In an online posting on June 10, Junaid praised ISIS militants and congratulates them on the capture of the city of Mosul and the liberation of militant prisoners.

‘May Allah reward them for such a heroic and glorious act,’ he wrote. ‘Congratulations (on) this victory and liberation.’

ISIS is listed as a terror organisation by the Federal Government, meaning anyone who recruits, trains, directs or provides support or funds for the group faces up to 25 years jail…

Junaid was detained and questioned and deported to Australia last year and has since gained a cult following among some young Muslims.

He has held lectures in Perth and the Eastern States.

Edited videos of the lectures show Junaid referring to jailed terrorists as defenders of Islam and telling followers they have a duty to defend their faith.

‘Look at the prisons around the world and what do you see? People who stand up for Islam,’ Junaid says. ‘What have you done for this religion?’

‘You knew what was happening in this world, yet you chose to sit at home and do nothing.'” Read more.

Iraq: 50,000 Christians Forced To Flee Muslim Violence In Northern City Of Qaraqosh

AINA News – “Nearly all of the population of Qaraqosh, 50,000 Assyrians, has fled the city amid fighting between ISIS and Kurds. Syrian Catholic Archbishop Mar Youhana Boutros Moshe attempted to negotiate with ISIS and the Kurds to convince them to leave the city, but the negotiations failed. ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ (Sunnis) are set to storm the city.

According to Bishop Yousif Habash of the Syriac Orthodox Church in New Jersey, Qaraqosh (also known as Baghdede) is now almost completely abandoned. A source reporting from Qaraqosh told AINA the population has fled to Arbel, Dohuk, Alqosh, Tel Kepe, Telsqop and Ankawa. Monasteries and churches are filled with displaced Christian refugees from Baghdede. There is an urgent need for food, water, medical aid and blankets.

Kurdish forces and ISIS pounded each other with mortars. The Kurds have positioned themselves on the east side of Qaraqosh, ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ have stationed themselves on the west and south side, near the villages of Tawajna and Qurtaba-Arab and south of Balawat.

ISIS has given the Kurdish forces an ultimatum to leave by 7 P.M. else face an attack.

The city is known by three names: Baghdede in Assyrian, Hamdaniya in Arabic and Qaraqosh in Turkish.” Source – AINA.

Prayer Leader Of Scotland Mosque Who “Never Ever” Showed Signs Of Radicalization Calls Upon Muslims To Wage Violent Jihad In Iraq & Syria

Apparently the local Muslim community in Scotland wishes to distance itself from this prayer-leader-turned-commando. If the teachings of Islam are any indication, however, they’re either being deceitful (“Allah’s Prophet said, ‘War is deceit’” – Bukhari 4.268) or they’re inferior, low-grade Muslims (“Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no hurt … Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit at home” – Qur’an Sura 4:95). By James Matthews, Sky News – “A third jihadist featured in a recruitment video released by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has been identified as a prayer caller at a city mosque in Aberdeen.

Abdul Rakib Amin settled in the northeast of Scotland with his family after travelling from Bangladesh.

As a teenager he attended the Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre, where he volunteered as a ‘mu’adhdhin’, someone who calls worshippers to prayer.

Sources at the mosque have told Sky News that Amin ‘never, ever’ showed radical tendencies.

They say that if he had he would have been immediately reported to the police, with whom the mosque has a close relationship.

As a youngster, Amin also attended St Machar Academy in Aberdeen and friends in the city describe him as a well-integrated member of society who was a keen footballer player.

Having grown up in the Froghall area of Aberdeen, he and his family moved to Leicester several years ago.

In the video posted on Youtube, Amin appears alongside two Cardiff students – Reyaad Khan and Nasser Muthana, both aged 20 – urging Westerners to join the fighting in Iraq and Syria.

ISIS has seized several cities and towns across northern and western Iraq in recent weeks in a lightning offensive which has put the Iraqi government on the back foot.

A member of Aberdeen’s Muslim community who knew Amin told Sky News: ‘He was more of a lad than a regular attendee at the mosque.

‘He was a happy guy, played football – he was a good player and he supported Aberdeen.

‘I remember him as a hyper person, energetic and loud… not the type of person you’d expect to go and do this.’

He said that the community wanted to distance themselves from Amin’s actions in Syria.

‘We don’t want our community tainted because some idiot’s gone commando.'” Read more.

Over the last month, the world’s media has been awash with gruesome images of barbarism – pulled into sharp focus in recent days with the barrage of horrific videos and hate-filled messages pouring onto the internet from Sunni militants in Iraq.

But it is far from restricted to that country alone. In just the last few days:

  • Footage has emerged showing armed militant children as young as eight watching as an Iraqi prisoner is executed by ISIS, while another shows a captured Iraqi police officer being beheaded;
  • At least five people have died in an attack on Kenya’s coast just days after Al Qaeda-inspired terror group Al Shabaab kills 60 in twin massacres;
  • Islamist militants Boko Haram are feared to have snatched 90 villagers in the same area of Nigeria where they seized nearly 300 Christian schoolgirls two months ago;
  • A human rights group has warned that revenge attacks between Christian and Islamic militia in the Central African Republic risk creating conditions for a genocide reminiscent of Bosnia in the 1990s.
  • Just last night, an explosion in a Nigerian shopping mall killed at least 21 people and injured 17 more as the nation prepared to watch its football team play Argentina in the World Cup
  • Also yesterday, a suicide bomber killed himself and wounded several security officers at a hotel in Raouche in Beirut, close to the Saudi Arabian embassy

Another form of religious extremism has also gained widespread attention and subsequent outrage in Sudan, where a mother was handed the death sentence for marrying a Christian and was forced to give birth in shackles in prison.
