Qur’an Sura 4:76a, “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah …”

By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch – “‘It wasn’t taught to me that Islam is peace and there’s no fighting.’ Why not? We are forced to believe that on pain of charges of ‘hate’ — so how did he happen to miss this all-important lesson?

I was already a jihadi [while in the UK] I understood I was on the jihadi path. Where it all began? It began from the book. And I read this and in there you see what jihad is about.I used to be scared of the word jihad, I once went to my sister when I was young I said to her, I saw it in the book and it said fighting. And my sister said to me jihad means what you have in your heart, what you did in your heart.

This is what I was taught. It wasn’t taught to me that Islam is peace and there’s no fighting.

It is peace but it requires fighting.

The duty of a Muslim is to love jihad.

One of the sayings of the prophet peace be upon him whoever does not go jihad or doesn’t even talk about it dies with the characteristic of of hypocrisy.

I am actually a Muslim following the way I should be.

By Mary Chastain, Breitbart – “In July, Christian teenager Hajja was picking corn in Gwoza, which is in the northeastern region of Nigeria, when the radical Muslim terrorist group Boko Haram, who control that region, kidnapped her. One of the men held a knife to her throat and told her he would kill her if she did not convert to Islam.

Reuters interviewed Hajja on November 6, 2013 and reported the terrorist group is now kidnapping Christian women and force them to be slave brides for their fighters. The group’s name means ‘Western education is forbidden’ and wants to make Nigeria an Islamic state. They slaughter anyone associated with the West or Christianity. The United States finally designated them a terrorist group on Wednesday. Michael Yohanna, a councilor in Gwoza’s local government, said there are many teenagers like Hajja held captive by Boko Haram.

The three months Hajja spent as the slave of a 14-strong guerrilla unit, cooking and cleaning for them before she escaped, give a rare glimpse into how the Islamists have changed tack in the face of Nigerian military pressure.”I can’t sleep when I think of being there,” the 19-year-old told Reuters, recounting forced mountain marches, rebel intelligence gathering – and watching her captors slit the throats of prisoners Hajja had helped lure into a trap.

A man called Ibrahim Tada Nglayike led the group Hajja was with. On one mission, Hajja was sent to stand in a field near a village to attract the attention of civilians working with the army. When five men approached her, they were ambushed.

“They took them back to a cave and tied them up. They cut their throats, one at a time,” Hajja said. “I thought my heart would burst out of my chest, because I was the bait.”

Among those who did the killing was the Muslim wife of the leader Nglayike, the only other woman in the band of fighters.

The Nigerian government, with help from the locals, set off an offensive in May and pushed the group to the Mandara mountains, which run along the Cameroon border. They took her to the mountains and slept in the caves.

She ceremonially converted to Islam, cooked for the men, carried ammunition during an attack on a police outpost and was about to be married to one of the insurgents before she managed to engineer a dramatic escape. She says she was not raped.”If I cried, they beat me. If I spoke, they beat me. They told me I must become a Muslim but I refused again and again,” Hajja told Reuters in an interview. Her family name is withheld to protect relatives still living in the Gwoza area.

“They were about to slaughter me and one of them begged me not to resist and just before I had my throat slit I relented. They put a veil on me and made me read from the Koran,” she said in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, where she is now living.

She told Reuters the men were armed with AK-47 rifles and pistols and would constantly move during the day to avoid being seen. They did use phones but listened to the BBC and Voice of America on a radio. The men would cheer when the journalists spoke about Boko Haram attacks.” Read more.

By Reza Kahlili, The Daily Caller – “As the world’s 5+1 powers resumed nuclear negotiations with Iran in Geneva on Wednesday, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attacked Israel and the U.S., saying the Islamic regime is using those negotiations as a gimmick to get stronger.

Khamenei, in a speech to thousands of commanders of the Basij militia, which has been suppressing millions of Iranians seeking freedom from the mullahs’ rule, referred to the negotiations and said: ‘Some have translated [Iran’s] ‘heroic flexibility’ [in] stepping back from goals and values of the Islamic regime [to achieve a nuclear settlement] and some enemies based on this have claimed retreat by the Islamic Republic.’

However, Khamenei said, that is a ‘misunderstanding.’

‘The ‘heroic flexibility’ means an artistic maneuver and the use of different tactics to reach different goals and ideals of the Islamic regime,’ he said. Stalling tactics for more than a decade have allowed Iran to greatly enhance its nuclear capability, allowing to mobilize as a fully-armed nuclear nation within weeks.

Khamenei had previously supported the negotiations by the regime’s new government under President Hassan Rouhani and talked of ‘heroic flexibility,’ implying that the regime will give up some ability of its nuclear program.

However, as the Daily Caller previously reported, the Iranian delegate demanded U.S. and Western recognition of Iran’s right to nuclear enrichment and the removal of major sanctions on its banking and oil industries, which have paralyzed the Islamic regime’s economy. In return, Iran offered only to stop its uranium enrichment at the 20 percent level, a level that is much higher than needed for peaceful purposes.

‘The holy Quran necessitates this decree for all prophets, faithful and the ordinary people where all of us must answer in the face of our covenant to God,’ Khamenei said. ‘[B]ased on the clear decree in the Quran, this covenant [is] to stand against the enemy in the fronts of military, political and economy and also not back down from the enemy.’

Khamenei called Israel a ‘rabid dog,’ ‘unclean,’ ‘illegitimate’ and ‘a bastard.’

‘The Zionist regime is destined to destruction, because this miserable regime was imposed [on the Middle East] based upon force, and no imposed phenomenon can last,’ he said.” Read more.

By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, PMW – “A Fatah official based in Lebanon recently explained that Yasser Arafat was involved in ‘all liberation movements in the world; in South America, in Asia, in Africa, and had a part in all these revolutions.’ The official, Fatah’s Director of Communications in Lebanon Rifat Shanaah, claimed that Arafat ‘taught them’ that Israel is ‘the racist entity, the enemy of all nations of the world’ and that ‘it bears responsibility for insecurity everywhere because Israel exists in order to create conflicts – sectarian and ethnic conflicts in the Middle East.’

This message of Israel and the Jews being a danger to humanity is not new in official PA and Fatah discourse. Earlier this year, Palestinian Media Watch documented that PA TV had two young girls recite a poem with the words: ‘Oh Sons of Zion, oh most evil among creations.’ In 2011, a PA-funded educational magazine for children published an essay written by a teenage girl that depicted Hitler heroically because he ‘killed the Jews’ because they ‘are a nation which spreads destruction all over the world.’ In January this year, PA TV broadcast a documentary explaining that European countries wanted to get rid of the Jews because ‘Europe could not bear their (the Jews’) character traits, monopolies, corruption…’ and stated that ‘later the Jews obtained the Balfour Declaration, and Europe saw it as an ideal solution to get rid of them.’

Earlier this year, Jibril Rajoub said that Israel ‘threatens the world’s peace‘:

‘The world today has begun to be convinced that we (Palestinians) are a victim and that they (Israelis) are the criminals and hangmen. By Adam Kredo, The Washington Free Beacon – “Iranian military forces launched a series of ‘massive military drills’ across nine provinces on Wednesday following an order by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to state media reports.

The drills, codenamed ‘Towards Jerusalem,’ will continue over the coming days and throughout the rest of the year.

At least three battalions of Iran’s ‘fast reaction’ Basij Force participated in the drills, which come as Western nations and Iran try to finalize a deal aimed at halting the country’s contested nuclear program.

A lieutenant commander of one of the volunteer fighting battalions said that the drills are meant to show off Iran’s ability to confront enemies at key points across the country, according to Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency.

‘The main purpose for these war games is to retain preparedness and increase the combat capability of the forces to confront any possible move by domestic and foreign enemies,’ Hossein Karimi, lieutenant commander of the Golestan’s Neynava Corps, was quoted as saying.

Additional fighting brigades will enter the war games over the next few days and at other points throughout the year, according to Karimi.

State-run media published multiple pictures of the armed Iranian forces battling through explosions and taking enemy forces hostage.

The ‘Towards Jerusalem’ military drills began on the same day that Iran dispatched a destroyer, helicopter carrier warship, and heavy submarine to East Asian waters.

These military maneuvers also come just a day after back-to-back blasts at the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, killed 23 and wounded more than 100 others.

Iranian officials immediately blamed Israel for the attack, despite an al Qaeda-affiliated group having publicly claimed responsibility.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei threatened to crush Iran’s enemies during a Wednesday address to some 50,000 fighters.

Khamenei singled out Israel in particular, calling it a scourge on the region.” Read more.

NOW – “The twin suicide bombings that hit close to the Iranian embassy in Beirut on Tuesday morning signal the beginning of a series of similar attacks, a Kuwaiti daily reported Thursday.

The suicide attacks were ‘just the beginning of a process of applying the Iraqi model to Lebanon,’ sources close to the Shiite group Hezbollah told Al-Rai newspaper.

The sources also expect a rise in such attacks in Lebanon ‘similar to what is happening in Iraq.’

They added that ‘similarly to Iraq as well,’ the attacks will not change the policy of the government, and will only succeed in creating a high number of casualties.

The Hezbollah sources also warned that simultaneous suicide attacks could occur in separate locations ‘to create confusion on the ground.’

They pointed out that Druze and Christian areas in Lebanon, as well as Palestinian refugee camps, have become a ‘welcoming environment’ for Takfiri groups who have crossed the border into Lebanon to take part in terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, sources close to the pro-Western March 14 coalition said in remarks published by Kuwaiti daily Al-Anbaa that its members were taking precautionary measures as they fear retaliatory attacks against them.

They added that similar measures were also taken by Arab and foreign embassies in Lebanon.

Two explosions rocked southern Beirut Tuesday morning near the Iranian embassy, killing at least 23 people and injuring 146 others.” Read more.

FNA – “A Saudi militant doctor has killed himself during a suicide attack on Syrian soldiers in Northern province of Aleppo, sources close to the Syria militants reported.

The Asia News Website reported on Tuesday that Moshari al-Anzi, a Saudi heart surgeon and one of the first people who came to fight in the more than two-and-half year bloody conflict, killed himself in a suicide attack on the Day of Ashura (November 13).

The website quoted sources close to the militants that Anzi, who picked the name Abu Samak al-Jarzawi worked in field hospitals during his presence in Syria.

According to the source, he had applied before to take part in the battles but his requests were denied because of the need for doctors.

However he managed to steel a bomb-laden car during an offensive against Syrian soldiers near Aleppo and killed himself.

He is the second Saudi doctor who has died in Syria, fighting alongside other foreign militants.

Many from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa have been influenced by Al-Qaeda and other extremist groups to enter Syria and fight to overthrow the Syrian government.” Read more.

Netanyahu again speaks truth where others fear to tread …

By Tova Dvorin, INN – “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, at an Israeli-French technology conference Tuesday, contrasted Israel’s goals with those of Islamic radicals as a matter of modernity and anachronism.

Referencing the scientific studies before him, Netanyahu stated, ‘What we are seeing is the future. I think where radical Islam is trying to take us is the past.’ He elaborated, ‘We are for modernity. They are for a dark medievalism.’

‘We’re for opening up our societies for everyone – men, women, minorities, the right to be different,’ the Prime Minister continued, ‘They’re for uniform suppression of a rigid doctrine and they want to back it up with weapons of death.’

Netanyahu related those concerns to the threat of a nuclear Iran.

‘I think it would be a grave mistake to repeat the mistake that was done vis-à-vis North Korea, another closed society, doctrinaire, rigid and aggressive,’ he explained. ‘I think in the case of Iran, there is an opportunity. It would be a great mistake to capitulate before Iran when they have all reasons right now to respond to the pressures that have been put on them. Rather than surrendering to their charm offensive, it’s important that they surrender to the pressure that can be brought to them to have them abandon their nuclear program.’

The Prime Minister’s remarks follow heightened international tensions regarding a possible nuclear Iran deal, which is slated to be discussed in Geneva this Thursday, November 20.” Read more.

By Raymond Ibrahim, Frontpage Mag – “Arguing that Muslim blood is more precious than infidel blood, Muslim clerics in and out of Sudan are outraged because a Sudanese court has condemned a Muslim man to death—simply because he murdered American Diplomat John Granville on January 1, 2008.

A 2009 report offers context:

The court had sentenced the men [originally four] to death in June for killing Granville and his driver in January 2008, but the sentence was cancelled in August after [his Muslim driver] Abbas’s father forgave the men.

Under Islamic law, the victim’s family has the right to forgive the murderer, ask for compensation (fedia) or demand execution.

Granville’s mother, Jane Granville, at the time had asked for the men’s execution, but her letter was rejected because it was not notarized.

The judge said the sentence was confirmed because Granville’s family, from Buffalo, in northern New York State, had requested it.

Then, in 2010, the four men convicted of murder, in the words of the U.S. State Department, ‘escaped from a maximum security prison’ in Khartoum. One of the men, Abdul Ra’uf Abu Zaid Muhammad Hamza, was recaptured and is currently in prison awaiting execution.

Finding the punishment unjust, several international Islamic organizations, most recently, the London-based Islamic Media Observatory, have been trying to commute the death sentence, mostly by arguing for Abdul Ra’uf’s ‘human rights.’

However, the Legitimate League of Scholars and Preachers in Sudan (an influential body of Muslim clerics) issued a statement last month titled ‘Let no Muslim be killed because of an infidel’—a verbatim quote, in fact, from Islam’s prophet Muhammad—revealing the true reason why so many Muslims are trying to overturn the death sentence.

The Arabic language statement begins by asserting that ‘Allah has honored human beings over creation and multiplied the Muslim’s honor over the infidel’s, because Islam elevates and nothing is elevated above it. The value of the blood of Muslims is equal, or should be, but not so the value of the blood of others.’  (The Koran itself, e.g., 2:221, confirms this idea that even the lowliest Muslim is superior to any non-Muslim.)

By Dawood Azami, BBC – “The last decade has seen a little-reported but systematic campaign by insurgents to silence Afghan clerics who disagree with their tactics and ideology.

More than 800 religious scholars who confronted the Taliban by calling their insurgency un-Islamic and unlawful have been killed.

The most recent killing took place a week ago when prominent religious scholar Maulawi Ata Muhammad was shot dead in Kandahar. He was head of programming for local radio station, Voice of Islam.

Some targets are very high profile. Among the first to be killed in this way was, Maulawi Abdullah Fayaz, head of the Kandahar religious scholars council, in May 2005.

The Taliban – a word which actually means religious student – have accepted responsibility for a number of these killings. Indeed, many of those killed either taught or influenced the men who went on to join the Taliban – in effect these students are now murdering their teachers.

The militants describe themselves as being at the vanguard defending Afghanistan’s ‘original Islamic values’. They accuse anti-Taliban clerics of justifying ‘foreign occupation and creating discord within the Muslim community'”. Read more.
