It’s also another reason why those not counted among the “prophet” Mohammed’s number — the Ummah of Islam — are unable to buy or sell. How can they when they have nothing left? …

By Jessica Chasmar, The Washington Times – “The Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters have began forcing the roughly 15,000 Christian Copts of Dalga village in Egypt to pay a jizya tax as indicated in Koran 9:29, author and translator Raymond Ibrahim reported on Sunday.

Jizya is the money, or tribute, ‘that conquered non-Muslims historically had to pay to their Islamic overlords ‘with willing submission and while feeling themselves subdued’ to safeguard their existence,’ Mr. Ibrahim explained.

According to Fr. Yunis Shawqi, who spoke yesterday to Dostor reporters in Dalga, all Copts in the village, ‘without exception,’ are being forced to pay the tax.

‘[The] value of the tribute and method of payment differ from one place to another in the village, so that, some are being expected to pay 200 Egyptian pounds per day, others 500 Egyptian pounds per day,’ Mr. Shawqi said, according to the translator.

In some cases, families not able to pay have been attacked. As many as 40 Christian families have now fled Dalga, Mr. Ibrahim reported.

The taxes are not unique to Egypt either.

Just over the weekend Syrian rebels went into a Christian man’s ‘shop and gave him three options: become Muslim; pay $70,000 as a tax levied on non-Muslims, known as jizya; or be killed along with his family,’ Christian Science Monitor reported.” Source – The Washington Times.

President Obama made his case to the American people and the world community Tuesday night that Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad must not be allowed to escape the consequences of using chemical weapons on civilians as the two-year-long Syrian civil war drags on.

Iran, a staunch ally of the Assad regime, is warning that any military action against Syria will cause a military and terrorist reaction on U.S. targets and allies.

Despite overwhelming evidence from the horrific August 21 sarin gas attack that killed more than 1,400 civilians, hundreds of them children, Iran says it won’t sit idly by if the U.S. attacks Syria.

For now, Obama said in an East Room address Tuesday night, he will delay any proposal to Congress authorizing a punitive strike if diplomatic efforts result in Syria agreeing to verifiable destruction of its chemical weapons cache. Obama warned that to not act against Syrian atrocities would give the green light to Iran to develop nuclear weapons and terrorists to use chemical weapons.

But if diplomacy fails, unintended consequences could result from a U.S. assault. Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu both should know that all options are on the table, including the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv, should the U.S. attack Syria, Iran has declared.

That blunt warning came in Mashregh News, the Islamic Republic’s official media outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit, in an alarming commentary last week.

‘Despite the analysis by some in the country (Iran),’ Mashregh wrote, ‘the U.S. posture and its saber-rattling are just a psychological war against Syria. The fact is that the current military preparation of the (U.S.) enemy points to a military confrontation and today we are facing a complete security and military scenario.’

Mashregh said the most important part of this scenario is how Iran would respond to a limited attack on Syria. A few years ago, CBN News filmed Denmark’s Muslim community marching through the streets of Copenhagen under a banner that read ‘Islam is peace and love.’

It would be great if it were true. But a few weeks ago one of Denmark’s most influential Muslim leaders dropped a bombshell when he admitted that every mosque in Denmark is controlled by a radical imam.

Even before George W. Bush went to a Washington, D.C. mosque after 9/11 and said the World Trade Center attack was not the true face of Islam, critics have accused Western leaders of being more concerned with appearing tolerant than confronting the threat posed by radical Islam. This is because while the vast majority of the world’s Muslims are not terrorists, the vast majority of the world’s terrorists are Muslims.

The United States has foiled more than 60 terrorist plots since 9/11. Britain uncovers at least one major terrorist attack every year. But there are other forms of violence from Muslim culture that authorities aren’t facing…

Britain is still reeling from a scandal in which police covered up a Muslim rape gang epidemic for 10 years; one in which primarily Pakistani men made white English girls their sex slaves.

For years, British authorities tried to pretend that Muslim sex grooming gangs didn’t exist. And so the problem grew, and more young women had their lives ruined.

Muslim immigrant gangs in Britain are still so dangerous that when CBN News tried to interview rape gang victims no one would go on camera. Even their family members and friends insisted that they would be in danger if their identities or faces were shown.

A woman from northern England, who we’re calling ‘Christine,’ told us there are areas now where young girls just can’t walk down their own streets. ‘People are too scared to come out and say what is going on.’

‘The real scandal is that this has been going on for 20 years, and no policeman has ever resigned over this,’ said George Igler, director of the Discourse Institute in Britain told CBN News.

‘For 20 years, they just did not investigate. And the reason why they didn’t investigate was just the inability to speak freely,’ he said. ‘The fact that something was taboo, meant you couldn’t talk about it.’ …

According to Igler, when British solder Lee Rigby was beheaded in the streets of London by a Nigerian Muslim, one of British Prime Minister David Cameron’s first orders of business was to appear open minded and tolerant.

‘He didn’t look into the camera and say, ‘I’m tripling base security immediately. We will find those who are responsible, This has got nothing to do with Islam,” he said. ‘So, all these people who were listening realized in an instant that they were being lied to,’ Rigler said.

Cameron had to be corrected by an Islamic terrorist group that bluntly stated the Rigby murder was indeed because of Islam.” Read more.

In Syria, after the al-Qaeda linked rebel group conquered Qusair, a city of the governate of Homs, 15-year-old Mariam was kidnapped, repeatedly gang raped according to a fatwa legitimizing the rape of non-Sunni women by any Muslim waging jihad against Syria’s government, and then executed.

According to Agenzia Fides, ‘The commander of the battalion ‘Jabhat al-Nusra’ in Qusair took Mariam, married and raped her. Then he repudiated her. The next day the young woman was forced to marry another Islamic militant. He also raped her and then repudiated her. The same trend was repeated for 15 days, and Mariam was raped by 15 different men. This psychologically destabilized her and made her insane. Mariam became mentally unstable and was eventually killed.’

In Pakistan, Muslim men stormed the home of three Christian women, beat them, stripped them naked and tortured them, and then paraded them in the nude in a village in the Kasur district. Days earlier, it seems the goats of the Christian family had accidentally trespassed onto Muslim land; Muslims sought to make an example of the Christian family, who, as third-class citizens, must know their place at all times.

Attacks on Christian Worship: Churches and Monasteries

Iraq: During the middle of the night, armed men attacked St. Mary’s Assyrian Catholic Church in Baghdad; they wounded two Christian guards, one seriously. Later the same day, bombs were set off at two Christian-owned businesses, both near the church; they killed one Christian shop owner, a parishioner at St. Mary’s. Since the U.S. ‘liberation’ of Iraq in 2003, 73 churches have been attacked or bombed, and more than half of the country’s Christian population has either fled or been killed.

Kenya: Motorbike assailants hurled an explosive device into the Earthquake Miracle Ministries Church in Mrima village church compound during the Sunday of June 9, injuring 15 people, including one pastor who had both his legs broken, another pastor who sustained serious injuries, and a 10-year-old child. Said another church leader, ‘The Christians living around the scene of the incident are still in shock and are wondering as to the mission behind the attack, while several pastors looked demoralized. But others said prayers will help them stand strong in sharing the Christian faith.’ Islamic extremists from Somalia’s jihadi organization Al Shabaab are suspected of this and other attacks on Christians in the coastal areas of Kenya.

Nigeria: Four churches were burned in an attack committed by members of the jihadi group Boko Haram in Borno State in the Muslim-majority north of the country. Afghan Member Of Parliament: Kill Everyone Who Converts To Christianity

Christian Today – “Quds Online news website, affiliated with Astan Quds Razavi Foundation, reported that an Afghan news service, Ava, is saying the number of Christians is increasing in Afghanistan.

According to Mohabat News Service, Ava quoted Nazir Ahmad Hanafi, Afghan Parliament Member, as saying, ‘Afghani citizens continue to convert to Christianity in India. Numerous Afghans have become Christians in India. This is an offense to Islamic Laws and according to the Quran they need to be executed.’

Earlier, another Member of Afghanistan’s Parliament had acknowledged that an Afghan church had been built in India. He said, ‘A church has been built in India called Afghani’s Church. Any Afghani citizen who travels to India would be officially invited to the church.’

However, Mohabat News said, some other Afghan MPs, however, blame the US for the increasing number of Christian conversions.

Abdul Latif Pedram, who represents Badakhshan province in the Afghan Parliament, stated, ‘The presence of the U.S. in Afghanistan results in the conversion of Afghans to Christianity. The United States’ long term plan is to attack Afghani culture. Converting Afghan citizens serves that purpose.’

Mohabat News said he also claimed, ‘If you want to stop people from converting to Christianity, and are afraid that more people will convert, then why did you sign the Bilateral Security Agreement with the US?'” Read more.

‘Bright Green’ Meteor Blows Up Over Alabama, Explodes So Low In Atmosphere It Triggers Sonic Boom

By Irene Klotz, Reuters – “A baseball-sized meteor blasted over the southeastern United States on Monday night, creating a bright streak of light, a sonic boom and a ruckus on Twitter, officials said on Tuesday.

The meteor appeared at 9:18 p.m. EDT over Alabama, traveling at about 76,000 mph. It exploded 25 miles above Woodstock, Alabama, located about 30 miles from Birmingham.

‘Objects of this size hit the Earth’s atmosphere on a daily basis, but this one happened near Birmingham, which is a fairly decently sized city and lot of people saw it,’ Bill Cooke, head of NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, told Reuters.

Many of the more than 180 eyewitness reports came from people attending a Mumford & Sons concert in Birmingham.

‘This one wasn’t at 2 in the morning, so a lot of people were out and about,’ Cooke said.

‘I saw what I first thought was a falling star and then it turned bright green,’ an observer from Anniston, Alabama, posted on the American Meteor Society website.

‘I saw it near Dallas Highway in Marietta, (Georgia), near the National Battlefield,’ wrote another witness. ‘At first, I thought it was an errant firework, but it was bigger, neon green, came straight down and then disappeared.’

Scientists calculated the meteor’s orbit and determined that it came from an unknown comet. It exploded so low in Earth’s atmosphere that it triggered a sonic boom.

The meteor was too bright to be picked up by NASA’s All-sky Fireball Network, which tracks meteors brighter than Venus with 12 cameras in the eastern United States and New Mexico but whose parameters are set to screen out things like lightning.” Read more.

The Brigade issued a statement Tuesday announcing that it would give the ‘green light’ to terrorist attacks targeting Israelis beginning on Friday.

The reason given for the planned resumption of open hostilities was Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, which the group termed, ‘The invasion of the compound by hordes of settlers, and the harm to [Muslim] worshipers, with nointervention from the international community.’

Tensions have been high on the Temple Mount in recent weeks, with many Jewish visitors to the holy site reporting harassment and violence at the hands of groups of Muslims.

The Temple Mount is the holiest place on earth according to Judaism. The site is currently run by the Muslim Wakf. Jews are allowed to visit only during limited hours, and are forbidden to pray on the Mount.

Muslim leaders have denounced Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, which is also the site of the Al Aqsa Mosque, and have accused Israel and Jews of attempting to harm the mosque. PA leaders, including Abbas himself, have made similar claims, insisting that Jews have no ties to the holy site and that Israel is secretly plotting to replace the mosque with a Jewish Temple.” Read more.

Syria: Islamist Rebels Find Bibles And Biblical Materials, Call Them ‘More Dangerous Than Chemical Weapons’

WND – “A video apparently made by some of the Islamists fighting and killing each other and the population in Syrian reveals quantities of Bibles and biblical materials, such as the Book of John, as a narrator describes them as being ‘more dangerous than chemical weapons.’

The video appeared yesterday, just as reports were coming out of Syria about how the Islamist rebels fighting President Bashar al-Assad’s army were ‘liberating’ villages, and then forcing Christians there to convert to Islam or be beheaded.

There were statements that Christians were being abducted and executed, although there were conflicting reports.

The new video of the confiscated Bibles was posted by Eretz Zen, who describes himself as a secular Syrian who opposes ‘having my country turned into a Taliban-like state.’

The video shows stacks of Arabic language Bibles and other books, and a sign that is posted with the warning, ‘O nation of Muhammad, wake up. For there are things even more dangerous than chemical weapons. Beware the Christianization campaigns.’

The video explains it’s from the region of Jarablus, in Syria.

A voice on the video explains, ‘They exploit the needs of Syrian citizens in order to spread Christian thought.’

The narrator also described a small bag of communion wafers as a ‘pork meat derivative,’ which is supplied ‘to fool the gullible children with.’

According to the Eretz Zen site, the footage was from Sept. 3 in the Syrian town of Jarablus on the Turkish border.

Even as the voice of the video was talking about the ‘Christianization’ of individuals, the Mail Online confirmed that Christians were terrified when they reported Syrian rebels ordered them to convert to Islam – on pain of death.

NBC4 Washington – “A Fairfax County man has been charged with possessing a crude homemade bomb constructed out of fireworks.

Thirty-eight year-old Atal Bashar of Burke is a native of Afghanistan and a naturalized U.S. citizen. He made an initial appearance Monday in federal court in Alexandria.

According to an FBI affidavit, a cleaning service hired by a real estate agent found what appeared to be a bomb while cleaning Bashar’s father’s home in the Alexandria section of the county in March 2012.

According to the affidavit, Bashar admitted to investigators last week that he built the device for self-defense by placing fireworks in the duffel bag and surrounding it with shrapnel like nails and screws.

Somalia: Islamists Murder Christian Mother In Front Of 4-Year-Old Son, Vow To Come Back And Kill Father

Christian Today – “Islamic extremists from the Al Shabaab rebel group are suspected of killing a Christian woman in one town last week and kidnaping a 13-year-old boy from another, sources said.

According to a story by Morning Star News, the militants, who have vowed to rid Somalia of its underground church, are suspected of killing Fatuma Isak Elmi, 35, on Sept. 1 at about 7:30 p.m. inside her home in Beledweyne, Hiran Province in south-central Somalia.

Her husband had received a threatening note that morning believed to be from the Islamic extremist group and was away at the time of the murder.

Neighbors were alerted to the killing when they heard Elmi’s 4-year-old son crying.

‘The neighbors heard a child crying for quite some time,’ a source told Morning Star News. ‘After one hour, a close neighbor visited the house and found the child outside still crying.’

The neighbor, whose identity is withheld for security reasons, told the source that upon entering the house she found Elmi dead.

Elmi’s husband, 36-year-old Mumin Omar Abdi, learned of her death when he arrived home at about 10 p.m. He said he had found a note early that morning that read, ‘We shall come f or you. You are friends with our enemies (Westerners, assumed to be Christians), and you are polluting our religion.’

In the southern Somali town of Qoryoley in the Lower Shebelle Region, two witnesses told Morning Star News they saw armed, masked men from Al Shabaab kidnap a 13-year-old boy on Sept. 3 as he approached his home on his way back from school.

Mustaf Hassan was kidnapped near Marka District at about 4 p.m., the sources said. He had been staying with a Muslim relative there since last year, when his parents fled the area after they were suspected of being Christians, another source told Morning Star News.

Another source told Morning Star News that the boy’s parents, Hassan Mohammed and Farhio Omar, were in great pain and grief upon learning of the kidnapping.

‘Our son might be killed, and we are also not safe,’ Mohammed said.

No ransom has been sought, and Christians suspected the rebels may have abducted Mustaf in an effort to find his parents or other Christians.” Read more.

In the village of Estreba they massacred all the residents and burnt down their houses. In the village of al-Khratta almost all the 37 locals were killed. Only ten people were able to escape.

A total of twelve Alawite villages were subjected to this horrendous attack. That was a true slaughterhouse. People were mutilated and beheaded. There is even a video that shows a girl being dismembered alive – alive! – by a frame saw. The final death toll exceeded 400, with 150 to 200 people taken hostage. Later some of the hostages were killed, their deaths filmed.

Terrified Christians claim Syrian rebels ordered them to convert to Islam on pain of death when they ‘liberated’ their ancient village.

Opposition forces, including fighters linked to Al Qaeda, gained temporary control of the Christian village of Maaloula after fighting with regime forces.

The reports have reignited fears about western support for the rebel groups, which are increasingly being infiltrated by Islamic extremists.

According to eyewitness accounts quoted in that same article, innocent Christian villagers are being given the choice to either convert on the spot or be summarily executed…

One Maaloula resident said the rebels, many of whom had beards and shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is great), attacked Christian homes and churches shortly after moving into the village.

‘They shot and killed people. I heard gunshots and then I saw three bodies lying in the middle of a street in the old quarters of the village. Where is President Obama to see what has befallen us?’

Another Christian resident said: ‘I saw the militants grabbing five villagers and threatening them and saying, “Either you convert to Islam, or you will be beheaded”.’
