Qaradawi is the most popular and influential Islamic preacher in the world, and is the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Qaradawi was on the Board of the Islamic Society of Boston, as I pointed out at Jihad Watch back in March 2004. If anyone in Boston had been paying attention to the implications of that fact back then, the Boston Marathon bombings may never have happened.

I wish there were an Islamic power capable of punishing these people. If only there was an Islamic power capable of drawing the line for the oppressors, and imposing upon them the punishment they deserve.

We do not have such power, however, so if they are punished by others, it is better than nothing. Allah pits the oppressors one against the other. The ancients used to say: “Oh Allah, keep the oppressors busy with one another, and let us emerge from among them intact.” We do not pity those people when they are attacked by whoever strikes them, because they deserve to be attacked, just like they attacked the Muslims.

The Times of Israel – “The French city of Metz closed a street to vehicular traffic for the High Holidays season, provoking angry reactions from some Muslims.

Rabbin Bloch Street was closed on the afternoon of Sept. 6, the second day of Rosh Hashanah, and will reopen at the close of Yom Kippur, the night of Sept. 14, according to the website of TCRM, the public transport company of the Messine region.

The website cited ‘the Jewish holidays’ for closing the street, which has several Jewish institutions located there.

Metz, which is some 40 miles northwest of Strasbourg in eastern France, had a Jewish population of approximately 4,000 in 1987, according to the Encyclopedia Judaica. The Jewish community established itself in the city in the 16th century.

Some Muslims said the street closure reflected a double standard in the attitude of French authorities to Jewish and Muslim sensibilities in applying separation of church and state.

One of France’s leading Muslim news sites, islametinfo.fr, published an editorial on Friday saying that although ‘it is normal for residents to respect the wishes of others in special moments,’ the closure at Metz ‘begs comparison’ with a ban imposed in 2011 on street prayers by Muslims in Paris.

The street prayers at Barbes were the result of overcrowded conditions at the local mosque.

Marine Le Pen, leader of the ultranationalist Front National, compared the prayers to ‘the occupation’ — a reference to the Nazi occupation of France.” Source – The Times of Israel.

Here’s an update on Friday’s report of forced conversions out of Maaloula. As of today, the Christian village has now been officially captured by Islamist rebels after government forces have been forced to retreat. Residents are reporting that Christian homes and churches have been attacked by Islamsts, now numbering as many as 1500 in the town of only 3000. Christians have been shot and killed, and others are now being threatened to either convert to Islam, or be beheaded …

By Jamal Halaby, Associated Press – “Rebels including al-Qaida-linked fighters gained control of a Christian village northeast of the capital Damascus, Syrian activists said Sunday. Government media provided a dramatically different account of the battle suggesting regime forces were winning.

It was impossible to independently verify the reports from Maaloula, a scenic mountain community known for being one of the few places in the world where residents still speak the ancient Middle Eastern language of Aramaic. The village is on a UNESCO list of tentative world heritage sites.

The rebel advance into the area this week was spearheaded by Jabhat al-Nusra, or the Nusra Front, exacerbating fears among Syrians and religious minorities about the role played by Islamic extremists within the rebel ranks.

It was not immediately clear why the army couldn’t sufficiently reinforce its troops to prevent the rebel advance in the area some 45 kilometers (25 miles) from Damascus. Some activists say that Assad’s forces are stretched thin, fighting in other areas in the north and south of the country.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdul-Rahman, said Jabhat al-Nusra backed by another group, the Qalamon Liberation Front, moved into the village after heavy clashes with the army late Saturday. He said around 1,500 rebels are inside the town.

‘The army pulled back to the outskirts of the village and both (rebel groups) are in total control of Maaloula now,’ Abdul-Rahman said.

He said pro-government fighters remain inside the village, in hiding.

Initially, troops loyal to President Bashar Assad moved into Maaloula early Saturday, he said, ‘but they left when rebels started pouring into the village.’ Now, Abdul-Rahman said, the army is surrounding the village and controlling its entrances and exits.

A Maaloula resident said the rebels, many of them sporting beards and shouting [Allahu akbar], attacked Christian homes and churches shortly after moving into the village overnight.

‘They shot and killed people. I heard gunshots and then I saw three bodies lying in the middle of a street in the old quarters of the village,’ said the resident, reached by telephone from neighboring Jordan. ‘So many people fled the village for safety.’

Now, Maaloula ‘is a ghost town. Where is President Obama to see what befallen on us?’ asked the man.

Another resident who fled the village of 3,000 inhabitants earlier in the day said in a telephone interview that Assad’s forces deployed on the outskirts of the village, while gunmen inside refused to allow anybody in.

He said the gunmen declined to allow fleeing people to take five dead bodies out of the village with them.

He said one of the churches, called Demyanos, had been torched and that gunmen stormed into two other churches and robbed them.

Most of the gunmen are foreigners, he said, adding that he heard different dialects, mainly of Tunisians, Libyans, Moroccans and Chechens.

Another resident, a Christian man, said he saw militants forcing some Christian residents to convert to Islam. ‘I saw the militants grabbing five villagers Wednesday and threatening them (saying): `Either you convert to Islam, or you will be beheaded,” he said.” Read more.

Australia: Muslim Father Tells Daughter She Must Never Play With Non-Muslim Kids

The Indian Express – “A Muslim man in Australia asked his daughter not to play with non-Muslim children, saying that it is ‘haram’.

The Federal Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Victoria, heard that the girl had refused to play with another, fair-haired ‘non-Muslim’ girl during a visit to a family counsellor.

The girl reportedly said ‘Baba says it is haram’, as she explained to her mother that she was not allowed to play with non-Muslim children, the Herald Sun reports.

Federal Magistrate Philip Burchardt said the father was clearly a loving parent but ‘he did not appear to have an understanding of his daughter’s developmental needs’.

Burchardt ordered that the child will live with her mother and would spend time with the father every second weekend.

‘Furthermore, his conduct in seeking to alienate (the girl) both from the non-Muslim component of the Australian community and from her mother and grandmother is very disturbing,’ Burchardt said.

The father however denied telling his daughter who she could play with.

‘He denied being in the business of telling the child that it was forbidden or otherwise bad to play with non-Muslims, but the evidence of (the family counsellor) makes it plain that he does,’ Burchardt added.

The father, who is a devout Muslim, also complained to the family counsellor about his ex-wife’s dressing style.

Although he denied using denigrating words to describe his ex-wife, Burchardt said his denials were dishonest.” Source – The Indian Express.

The Guardian – “A car bomb and suspected suicide bomber have killed at least 15 people in two explosions at a restaurant in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, local police said.

At least another 20 people were wounded in the bomb attacks on the Village restaurant, Captain Ali Hussein, a senior police official, said on Saturday.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blasts but suspicion will likely fall on the Islamist militant group al-Shabaab, an al-Qaida affiliate which has carried out a campaign of suicide bombings since African Union forces forced it to withdraw from the city in 2011.

Mohamed Yusuf, a spokesman for the Mogadishu authorities, said: ‘First a car bomb exploded at the entrance of the restaurant, and when people converged inside a suicide bomber blew up himself.’

Isaq Hassan, a car washer who lost a colleague in the blasts, said: ‘This disaster never comes to an end.’ Pointing to dead bodies on the ground, he added: ‘See this, that and this! Life is worthless here.’

The restaurant, which was popular with government officials, was owned by a Somali businessman, Ahmed Jama, who had returned to his home country from London to set up the business. Militants, also thought to be from al-Shabaab, had previously targeted the restaurant in November. Only one person was killed in that attack by suicide bombers.

‘They attack the restaurants because they hate to see people peacefully spending time together,’ said Mohamed Abdi, an interior ministry employee at the scene. ‘They are committed to obliterating any sign of peace. Because of such attacks, it’s very hard for the government to restore security in the near future.’

In the biggest attack so far this year, in June al-Shabaab assaulted the main UN compound in Mogadishu, killing at least 22 people.” Source – The Guardian.

The cleric, Abu Dhar ‘Azzam, has appeared in many videos by Al-Qaeda affiliates, under the name Abu Dhar Al-Pakistani or Abu Dhar Al-Burmi.

‘Azzam begins his article by lamenting what he presents as the catastrophic situation of children in the Muslim world, who he says are targets for killing in Afghanistan, Burma, India and elsewhere. He faults the Muslim nation for neglecting its children not only physically but also culturally, by failing to give them a proper Islamic upbringing that will make them good believers and fighters for their religion.

He writes: ‘If we neglect the jihadi, ideological and spiritual upbringing of the new youngsters and the new generation, history will not forgive us, and the disgrace of this treason will not be erased from our foreheads. The ummah is in dire need of children [who will be] slaughterers and fighters of the infidels and the devils – children who will be ascetics by night and knights by day, children who will fight the infidels and the leaders of polytheism…’

This opening brings Abu Dhar to present the Tsarnaev brothers as a model of the kind of jihad fighters that the next generation of Muslims should be raised to emulate. He writes: “This city of Boston, where Iblis [Satan] practices, is the city from which the movement to liberate America from Great Britain began.

In the very house of unbelief, two Chechen brothers destroyed the infidels’ fortresses on April 16, 2013. Nigeria: Muslim Gunmen Attack Christian Homes, Slaughter Men, Women And Children In Their Sleep

Morning Star News – “Gabriel Anthony, 25, was steeped in quiet, prayerful devotion at 5 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 1) in this northern Nigerian village when he heard gunshots.

‘Within minutes, bullets were piercing into our rooms,’ Anthony told Morning Star News. ‘I escaped from my room by jumping through the window.’

A half hour later, seven of his relatives in Adu village, Kaduna state, were dead, including his father, 60-year-old Anthony Nkom; his mother, 45-year-old Asabe Anthony; his brother, 35-year-old James Anthony; and another brother, 37-year-old Andrew Anthony. Also killed were three of his nephews – 5-year-old Meshack Aaron, 12-year-old Bulus James Anthony, and 15-year-old Happiness Anthony.

The bodies of Happiness and Meshack were buried in one grave, and those of the other five in another.

Besides these seven people, two other Christians in the village were killed and three were wounded in the attack by more than a dozen ethnic Fulani Muslims, Anthony said. All of those killed were members of the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Adu.

As Anthony’s relatives were being shot, in another part of Adu village another set of Muslim Fulani gunmen attacked the house of Joseph Abwoi, 50, killing him and his wife, Asabat Abwoi, 40. They were buried in a single grave.

The three people wounded in the attack on Anthony’s home were grandchildren of the murdered Nkom – Godiya Andrew, 9; Shenyan Andrew, 3; and Kawot, 5, he said. While Godiya was being treated for gunshot wounds at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Kawot was taken to Kafanchan General Hospital and Shenyan was receiving treatment at the Rural Hospital Kaura in Kaduna state, Anthony said.

‘By the time the Fulani gunmen had moved to other houses in the village, the sounds of gunshots had forced the over 500 inhabitants of the village to flee into the bushes, thus escaping from being killed,’ he said.” Read more.

Great article, please read it in full. It is worth repeating that when it comes to the “Religion of Peace” many still attempt to create a dichotomy of “good Islam” verses “bad Islam” when, in reality, all of Islam is inherently violent and destructive. Although there are Muslims who are peaceful, they are not peaceful because of their religion. They are peaceful in spite of it. Unfortunately, this is one fact that intellectually and politically atrophied leaders in the West all too often make a concerted effort to willingly ignore …

The Jerusalem Post – “When will we believe the threat in the words of Mohammed?  When will we believe the Muslims’ word when they proclaim their intention to kill us?  When will we believe that they proclaim their intention to wipe Israel off the face of the map?  When will we believe that they want to see the entire world including Europe and America, under submission to Islam and Muslim law?

After the Fort Hood killings of a dozen innocent people by a Muslim traitor, the Boston Marathon killings by two Muslim immigrant brothers and the beheading of a British soldier in May by two Muslim men in broad daylight, we have got to ask, what is there about Islam that stirs up these horrendous murderous actions?

We cannot forget the unbelievably horrible 9/11 destruction of the twin towers in New York or the destruction on the Pentagon in Washington, when more than 3,000 innocent people were killed.  We cannot forget the bombings of the train stations in Spain and England when scores of innocents were killed.  It is difficult for those of us who practice true Christianity to believe that human beings could be so blatantly murderous to plot and kill so many innocent people with no second thought or regrets.  They show joy when these murderous deeds are carried out.

Then too, we have to wonder why all the rest of the Muslim world heartily supports all of these incredible Muslim killings with massive demonstrations or at least with broad smiles.  It appears that not many Muslims disagree with what the murderers have done.  We cannot ignore how so many Muslim leaders keep loudly and unashamedly declaring their intentions to take over Europe and to ‘wipe Israel and the United States off the face of the Map’.

Why do so many Western political leaders keep trying to tell us that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’?  Bombings, explosions and mass killings are certainly not demonstrations of peace.  Do our leaders support them or are they so afraid of them that they continually insist on ‘political correctness’ most often at the expense of Christians.  Will they insist on PC all the way to the grave?

According to true Christian values, peace means love, kindness and compassion.  The Islamic definition of peace is to see the entire world controlled by Islam and cruel Islamic Sharia law.  Their kind of peace has most of the world in anxiety today and our Western leaders are doing little to counteract it.

No Business, No Money, No Home: Christians Forced To Flee Egyptian Town As Islamists Take Over

So Father Yoannis moved behind a wall in the charred skeleton of an ancient monastery to describe how it was torched by Islamists and then looted when they took over this southern Egyptian town following the ouster of the country’s president.

‘The fire in the monastery burned intermittently for three days. The looting continued for a week. At the end, not a wire or an electric switch is left,’ Yoannis told The Associated Press. The monastery’s 1,600-year-old underground chapel was stripped of ancient icons and the ground was dug up on the belief that a treasure was buried there.

‘Even the remains of ancient and revered saints were disturbed and thrown around,’ he said.

A town of some 120,000 — including 20,000 Christians — Dalga has been outside government control since hard-line supporters of the Islamist Mohammed Morsi drove out police and occupied their station on July 3, the day Egypt’s military chief removed the president in a popularly supported coup. It was part of a wave of attacks in the southern Minya province that targeted Christians, their homes and businesses.

Since then, the radicals have imposed their grip on Dalga, twice driving off attempts by the army to send in armored personnel carriers by showering them with gunfire.

Their hold points to the power of hard-line Islamists in southern Egypt even after Morsi’s removal — and their determination to defy the military-backed leadership that has replaced him.

With the army and police already fighting a burgeoning militant insurgency in the Sinai Peninsula, there are growing signs that a second insurgency could erupt in the south — particularly in Minya and Assiut provinces, both Islamist strongholds and both home to Egypt’s two largest Christian communities.

The takeover of Dalga has been disastrous for the Christian community in the town, located 270 kilometers (160 miles) south of Cairo in Minya, on the edge of the Nile Valley near the cliffs that mark the start of the desert.

In the initial burst of violence, the town’s only Catholic church was ransacked and set ablaze, like the Monastery of the Virgin Mary and St. Abraam. The Anglican church was looted.

Some 40 Christian families have fled Dalga since, Yoannis said. Nearly 40 Christian-owned homes and stores have been attacked by Islamists, according to local Minya activists. Bandits from the nearby deserts joined the looting and burning, they said. To ensure the spread of fear, the attackers torched houses in all Christian neighborhoods, not just in one or two.

Among the homes torched was that of Father Angelos, an 80-year-old Orthodox priest who lives close to the monastery. Yoannis’ home was spared a similar fate by his Muslim neighbors. A 60-year-old Christian who fired from his roof to ward off a mob was dragged down and killed, the activists said.

‘Even if we had firearms, we would be reluctant to use them,’ said Yoannis. ‘We cannot take a life. Firing in the air may be our limit.’

Those who remain pay armed Muslim neighbors to protect them. Yoannis said his brother paid with a cow and a water buffalo. Most Christian businesses have been closed for weeks.

Armed men can be seen in the streets, and nearly every day Islamists hold rallies at a stage outside the police station, demanding Morsi’s reinstatement.

Most Christians remain indoors as much as possible, particularly during the rallies. They say they are routinely insulted on the streets by Muslims, including children. Christian women stay home at all times, fearing harassment by the Islamists, according to multiple Christians who spoke to the AP. Most requested that their names not be published for fear of reprisals.

‘The Copts in Dalga live in utter humiliation,’ said local rights activist Ezzat Ibrahim. ‘They live in horror and cannot lead normal lives.’ …
