Say What? William Hague Claims That ‘Europe Is Losing Its Patience’ …

… but when you find out why this British Foreign Minister said what he said, you’ll soon realize that the real issue is not about Europe losing its patience. It’s about Europe losing its mind …

By Dan Aridor, Gatestone Institute – “At the end of May of this year, British Foreign Minister William Hague made a statement that ‘Europe is losing its patience.’ There are quite a few reasons for Secretary Hague to have made such a statement:

  • In Britain a soldier was beheaded in the street, and in France a soldier was murdered. Both attacks seem to be hate crimes of Muslims against Christians.
  • 60,000 British women were genitally mutilated due to a ritual practiced by Muslims, and 20,000 more are in immediate danger of being forced to undergo this procedure.
  • In Egypt, the original inhabitants of the country, Christian Copts, are been hunted down by the Muslims.
  • In Syria, the level of atrocities has reached a new high as chemical weapons have been deployed. The death toll in the civil war is approaching 100,000.
  • In Saudi Arabia, women are discriminated against and a culture of women as sex slaves is flourishing.
  • An important Palestinian Authority figure, Jibril Rajoub, has just said that Palestinians, if they could, would nuke Israel. No condemnation or rebuff of his statements was heard from any Palestinian politician.
  • Mauritania still has slaves; Indonesia still canes people; Iran hangs homosexuals from cranes; Turkey has more journalists in prison than any other country, including Iran and North Korea; Saudi Arabia denies women freedom of movement; does not allow Bibles into the country; and there is no equal justice under law, property rights, free speech, free press, or free worship.
  • In Britain and across Europe, Israeli and Jewish speakers, Jewish students or just plain Jews are routinely attacked by what can be described as the new ‘Brown Shirts’ of Europe (and occasionally also in and American and Canadian Universities).

Secretary Hague’s comments, however were directed at Israel and the settlements. Hague presumably by accident failed to recall that to most Arabs — in both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas Charters, and all maps of Palestine currently in use by them — the entire State of Israel is one big ‘settlement.’ Hague made these comments during his visit to Israel at the end of May. What Secretary Hague apparently condemns is the Jewish people’s settlement into its historic home — the creation of which the British Empire tried to prevent, despite its commitments in the 1917 Balfour declaration to establish a national home for the Jewish people, and despite the 1920 San Remo Agreement (an international meeting attended by Britain France Italy and Japan, which, among other things, adopted the Balfour declaration). The British Mandate for Palestine was based on San Remo decisions, in order to establish a Jewish home in Palestine.

So seemingly it is not hate crimes around the Muslim world, in Arab countries or in Sharia’s enclaves in Britain, or even in London that anger Secretary Hague.

The latest hate crime, the beheading of an British soldier in London, propelled one of the most supportive ‘politically correct’ advocates of our time, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, finally to say what no one else dares to say: that there is a ‘problem within Islam.’

Saudi Arabia: The Global Focal Point Of Deadly New MERS Disease

By Ellen Knickmeyer, WSJ – “With 39 deaths globally from a virus outbreak hitting hardest in Saudi Arabia, the government has begun relaying health advisories that children, the elderly, pregnant women and the terminally ill should stay home from this year’s Muslim pilgrimages to the holy city of Mecca.

The pilgrimage for the Muslim hajj holiday, which this year falls in mid-October, annually draws about 3 million faithful from around the world to Mecca. Millions more come on pilgrimage before the hajj, with the pilgrimage season this year peaking in summer and autumn.

The pilgrimage historically has been a global focal point for contagious diseases. A 2012 study of French pilgrims said more than 80% returned with respiratory symptoms, and 40% with flu-like symptoms.

Pilgrimages to Mecca are a central tenet of the Muslim faith. Islam requires all Muslims with the means to make the pilgrimage at least once in their lives.

Saudi Arabia said last week it was cutting the number of pilgrims this year – by 20% for foreigners, and 50% for Saudis – attributing the reduction to construction work in Mecca which has restricted crowd capacity.

But diplomats have suggested that the recent viral outbreak may be another reason for the cuts, announced in Arab news media just as the annual pilgrimage season moves into high gear. Some note that Saudi Arabia issued the same recommendation for the same four groups ahead of the 2009 hajj, amid concerns about the spread that year of the H1N1 avian flu virus.

Since September 2012, the World Health Organization has reported 70 confirmed cases of the new virus, which medical authorities have dubbed the Middle East respiratory-symptom coronavirus, or MERS. The virus is from the same family as the SARS virus which killed more than 700 people a decade ago.” Read more.

Syria: Thousands Flee After Islamic Rebels Execute Priest, Loot, Burn Monastary In Northern Syria

Syrian Report – “On Sunday, June 23,  Syrian Catholic priest François Murad was murdered in the locality of Gassanieh, northern Syria, according to a statement from the Custody of the Holy Land sent to the Fides Agency.

Murad (49), having led a religious life and studied in Palestine, was ordained a priest and set about building a monastery in Gassanieh, Idlib.

Murad was targeted by armed militants, while he was residing at the monastery, which was dedicated to Saint Simon Stylite.

Citing the head of all Franciscans in the Holy Land, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Vatican News Agency said that Father Murad recently chose a monastic way of life and resorted to the monastery, with Franciscan Friars, a few weeks earlier.

‘The world must know that the support of gunmen by the west is helping extremists in killing Syrians’, Pizzaballa said, adding that, ‘with such stances, not a single Christian will remain in the East.’

According to local sources, the monastery was raided by gunmen, who proceeded to execute François Murad, loot and burn the building. Four-thousand people are reported to have since fled the area.

Christians in Syria are being increasing targeted by sectarian armed groups in Syria, of which there are between several hundred and over a thousand.” Read more.

France: Police Arrest Six Muslims Near Paris Planning Terror Attack Against ‘Well-Known Figures’

BBC – “Anti-terror police in France have arrested six people accused of belonging to a radical Islamist cell and preparing attacks in the country.

The suspects, aged 22 to 38, were arrested in the Paris region on Monday.

‘They were planning to commit terrorist acts targeting well-known figures in France,’ an unnamed source told the news agency Agence France Press.

France raised its domestic terror alert level after its intervention in Mali.

The members of the alleged Islamist cell include one man from Benin, another from the Comoros islands and four French nationals, AFP said.

All were previously known to police.

They are reportedly suspected of being involved in armed robberies.

Agnes Thibault-Lecuivre, a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutor’s office, told the Associated Press that the six remained in custody on Tuesday. They can be held for up to four days under France’s anti-terrorism laws.

Last October, French police arrested 12 people believed to be part of an Islamist terror cell planning the biggest bomb attack on France since a series of killings by the Algerian-based GIA (Armed Islamic Group) in the mid-1990s.” Read more.

Barack Obama To Egypt’s Persecuted Christians: Don’t Protest Against The Muslim Brotherhood

According to the Obama Administration, Islamists mean well. They’re simply misunderstood. But those pesky Christians have ulterior, conservative, divisive motives and must be dealt with accordingly …

By Raymond Ibrahim, Frontpage Mag – “As Egyptians of all factions prepare to demonstrate in mass against the Muslim Brotherhood and President Morsi’s rule on June 30, the latter has been trying to reduce their numbers, which some predict will be in the millions and eclipse the Tahrir protests that earlier ousted Mubarak.  Among other influential Egyptians, Morsi recently called on Coptic Christian Pope Tawadros II to urge his flock, Egypt’s millions of Christians, not to join the June 30 protests.

While that may be expected, more troubling is that the U.S. ambassador to Egypt is also trying to prevent Egyptians from protesting—including the Copts.  The June 18th edition of Sadi al-Balad reports that lawyer Ramses Naggar, the Coptic Church’s legal counsel, said that during Patterson’s June 17 meeting with Pope Tawadros, she ‘asked him to urge the Copts not to participate’ in the demonstrations against Morsi and the Brotherhood.

The Pope politely informed her that his spiritual authority over the Copts does not extend to political matters.Regardless, many Egyptian activists are condemning Patterson for flagrantly behaving like the Muslim Brotherhood’s stooge.  Leading opposition activist Shady el-Ghazali Harb said Patterson showed ‘blatant bias’ in favor of Morsi and the Brotherhood, adding that her remarks had earned the U.S. administration ‘the enmity of the Egyptian people.’ Coptic activists like George Ishaq openly told Patterson to ‘shut up and mind your own business.’ And Christian business tycoon Naguib Sawiris—no stranger to Islamist hostility—posted a message on his Twitter account addressed to the ambassador saying ‘Bless us with your silence.’

Indeed, the U.S. ambassador’s position as the Brotherhood’s lackey is disturbing—and revealing—on several levels.  First, all throughout the Middle East, the U.S. has been supporting anyone and everyone opposing their leaders—in Libya against Gaddafi, in Egypt itself against 30-year U.S. ally Mubarak, and now in Syria against Assad. In all these cases, the U.S. has presented its support in the name of the human rights and freedoms of the people against dictatorial leaders.

So why is the Obama administration now asking Christians not to oppose their rulers—in this case, Islamists—who have daily proven themselves corrupt and worse, to the point that millions of Egyptians, most of them Muslims, are trying to oust them?

‘Seditious Outrage’: Police In Germany Foil Islamist Terror Plot Seeking Mass Destruction And Death

By Allan Hall, Mail Online – “Police in Germany have raided dozens of addresses to foil an Islamist terror plot intending to use remote controlled model aircraft filled with explosives to be flown into targets.

Armed officers of the specialist G9G units raided homes in Stuttgart, Munich and Dachau after receiving information that at least one assassination attempt was being planned using the model planes as guided missiles.

Technical materials and paperwork were seized at several addresses while prosecutors spoke of plans for a ‘seditious outrage’.

German intelligence officers have been warning for some time of a home-grown attack inside the country’s borders as more and more Islamists return from Jihadist training camps in Pakistan ready to commit terrorist acts.

As well as the addresses in southern Germany, an Internet service provider in the state of Saxony was also raided. At least two men are in custody and authorities say the operations will continue as more intelligence is gathered.

No information was given about likely targets or exactly which Jihadist organisation the suspects are affiliated with.

One of the addresses raided was at the Olympic Village in Munich, scene of the 1972 Olympic massacre when fanatics of the Black September movement stormed the living quarters of Israeli athletes.

All eleven hostages later died in a shootout at Munich Airport.

Prosecutors said that the arrests were linked to a plot centred on Islamist ‘Holy war’ but gave no further details.” Read more.

Australia: Muslim Jailed For Beating Wife Says Physical Punishment Of Women Is ‘Good’ In His Culture

By Steve Butcher, The Age – “A Melbourne man who bound, gagged and repeatedly struck his wife with a piece of garden hose – and also shaved off her hair – has voluntarily bought a one-way ticket out of Australia.

Raidh Janabi said he had respect for Australia and its laws, but 27 months since beating her he has declared: ‘I’m not going to stay here anymore. (I’ll) feel better when I go far (away).’

But his departure will be delayed until he serves the next two years in a Victorian prison for recklessly causing serious injury to his now former wife.

Judge Damian Murphy on Tuesday ‘totally condemned’ Janabi’s conduct which he described as designed to humiliate her and, by cutting her hair, intended to ‘restrict her ability to socialise’.

In his sentencing in the County Court, Judge Murphy said he agreed with Janabi, 53, who described his offence as ‘twenty minutes of madness’ and that the attack showed ‘high-handed disregard’ for the integrity [of] her body and the path she had chosen for her  own life.

Fairfax Media has previously reported that he injured his wife of 22 years on February 27, 2011, at their home because he thought she had been unfaithful…

[Prosecutor Kevin Doyle] said he then struck her for 15 minutes with the hose before they left the house for a motel. On her return she went to police the next day…

Judge Murphy told Janabi that ‘in this country’ no-one is entitled to assault their wife. ‘A husband is not entitled to bash his wife,’ he said. ‘This is the law of the land.’ …

Janabi told Judge Murphy how before he came to Australia in 1996 as a political refugee that ‘our culture’ in Iraq was that ‘if a wife cheats and the husband kills her’ and he attends the police or a court ‘they said to him ‘good on you, just go home”.

‘I have respect for Australia, the law of Australia,’ he said, noting he had not once been to a police station and that ‘I’m straight and good’.

But as the composition of the military opponents has become clearer—al Qaeda-linked Islamists dominating one side, Bashar Assad’s forces and Hezbollah the other—it has become obvious that the window of opportunity for outside intervention is closed. We must now have in mind Henry Kissinger‘s famous remark during the Iran-Iraq war: It’s too bad they both can’t lose.

Western governments no longer have the will, capability or patience to act in such a forum. And to dabble without wishing to get more deeply involved is a pathetic option.

So when the British prime minister and foreign secretary talk of arming a ‘moderate opposition’ to Assad, they are talking of a diminishing and soon-to-be extinct force. If there was ever a chance of helping such moderates into power, it has passed. What moderates existed have been replaced by extremists, and the West must have no part in assisting them.

It is not Assad propaganda but the simple flood of news that now confirms this. What Vladimir Putin alluded to at the opening of the G-8 summit last week was true: that a young Syrian opposition fighter called Abu Sakkar was captured on video last month cutting out and biting into the lung of an opponent. Similar atrocities include those of ‘opposition’ forces who recently tortured and executed, in front of his parents, a 15-year-old coffee seller in Aleppo. Mohammad Qataa’s ‘crime’ was an overheard comment alleged by these judges, jurors, torturers and executioners to be blasphemous.

Other ‘rebels’ include the killers of Andrei Arbashe, a 38-year-old Christian taxi driver who was recently beheaded and his body fed to dogs near the Turkish border, all because his brother was allegedly overheard referring to the opposition as bandits.

Of course, the atrocities do not go in one direction. Assad’s forces have been performing acts of barbaric violence from the outset of this war, aided by Hezbollah. We did nothing to stop them then. Yet the British government now appears eager to arm someone—anyone—to tip the balance in the war. This is a mistake.

The moment they do so, their complicity will shift from the tangential complicity of the bystander to the more serious complicity of the enabler. This is not just a moral question, but a practical one too: How do David Cameron and William Hague hope to go about arming only the ‘good’ rebels while ensuring that their weaponry does not fall into the hands of the ‘bad’ ones?” Read more.

Michigan: McDonald’s Drops Halal Food From U.S. Menu After Paying $700,000 In Muslim Lawsuit

Here’s an update on this story. It may have sounded like a good idea at first, but McDonald’s execs are now left with a bitter taste in their mouths after offering halal menu items in Dearbornistan. This win may encourage others to engage in yet another form of lawsuit jihad, but whether or not other halal-serving restaurants and food distributors begin rethinking their efforts to bow down to Allah and the best of peoples, however, remains to be seen …

By Niraj Warikoo, Detroit Free Press – “DETROIT — There have been only two McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. that have offered halal food. Both were in east Dearborn, Mich., which has a sizable population of Arab-American Muslims.

But after a contentious lawsuit that accused the restaurant chain of selling non-halal items advertised as halal, McDonald’s has yanked its Halal Chicken McNuggets and Halal McChicken sandwiches off the menu. The move brings to an end a unique product that made the two McDonald’s restaurants popular with Muslims.

‘Those items have been discontinued as a result of our continued efforts to focus on our national core menu,’ a spokesman for McDonald’s said Friday.

At one of the two restaurants, the Ford Road location, a sign in Arabic and English on its drive-through menu informs customers that halal items are no longer available. The decision to discontinue the products after a 12-year run drew a mixed reaction in Dearborn: Some were disappointed, while others said it was a good move because McDonald’s had problems before with selling halal food.

The removal of the halal items, which was done last month, comes after a lawsuit filed in 2011 alleging that the fast-food restaurant was selling non-halal chicken it claimed was halal. Halal is the Muslim equivalent of kosher, requiring that meat be prepared according to Islamic guidelines, such as reciting a prayer while the animal is cut. In some cases, employees at the Ford Road location were mistakenly giving non-halal products to customers who asked for halal ones.

A $700,000 settlement was reached in April that allocated $275,000 to the Huda Clinic, a Muslim health center in Detroit; $150,000 to the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, and $25,000 to Ahmed Ahmed, a Dearborn Heights man who filed the lawsuit against McDonald’s. Unbelievable: at first, one might think that Islamism is an ideology, a policy or a line of thought. This is a simplistic point of view — political orthodoxy, conventional wisdom and ideas. No, we must also see through the prism on biology: It is a disease, which intends to devour the world, it is not an issue of faith and belief.

A salafist man is not looking for God, but in the dark, he is after your throat. He believes that the whole world must believe the way he does and, if it does not, it is the whole world that is ‘sick’ and must be brought back to the right path. By persuasion or by blood.
