Jewish Report – “South African Jewry is outraged by the visit to the country of a senior Hamas delegation to participate in the Fifth Global Convention of Solidarity with Palestine. This comes just weeks after Israel suffered on 7 October the gravest act of mass murder, including inhumane torture of Jews, since the Holocaust at the hands of this internationally designated terrorist organisation.

Still reeling in the aftermath of the brutal pre-dawn unprovoked attack in which 1200 civilians were slaughtered, raped, maimed, and burned, and 240 people including babies, children, women, and the elderly were taken hostage into Gaza, the community has been angered by pictures on social media of Hamas delegates being warmly welcomed and embraced by representatives of political parties including the ruling African National Congress (ANC), the Anglican Church, civil society groups, and the Palestine solidarity movement.

‘We are disgusted by Hamas’ presence in South Africa,’ said the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.

Rolene Marks, the spokesperson for the South African Zionist Federation (SAZF) said, ‘The SAZF condemns the audacious admittance of extremists and terrorists into our country by the South African government, raising serious concerns about their potential involvement in fomenting extremism within our borders.’

The Hamas delegation included politburo member Dr Basem Naim; Hamas representative in Iran Dr Khaled Qaddoumi; and Hamas representative in East, Central and Southern Africa, Emad Saber.

Naim has publicly and consistently denied that Hamas kidnapped innocent women and children, killed civilians, and raped women, putting it all down to ‘fabricated Israeli propaganda’. This in spite of the fact that Hamas terrorists filmed themselves perpetrating these heinous crimes and posted live images of them doing so for the world to witness.

Jihad Watch – “Fathi Hammad’s declaration that Palestinians are preparing to establish an Islamic caliphate with Jerusalem as its capital is a manifestation of how jihadis worldwide are emboldened after October 7. It is also a stark reminder of how often Islamic leaders and groups state their goals publicly, but most Westerners do not believe them or pay no attention. Instead, they tar those who do take them seriously as ‘Islamophobes.’

Hammad is saying nothing new. He is just saying it in a brazen and violent manner. It still won’t register with most Westerners, but he is serious. The Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Iran and, in fact, all jihadis seek to obliterate Israel so that Islam can complete the conquest of the entire Middle East. And then they will indeed likely endeavor to establish Jerusalem as the capital of a global caliphate.

It is worthwhile to remember that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation already regards the Palestinian territories as the ‘State of Palestine.’ For that reason, the OIC declares that it has 57 members, when there are really 56. It is a deception that Islamic countries are aiming for a two-state solution. They aspire to a one-state solution with Jerusalem as the capital.

Hamas is a Muslim Brotherhood offshoot, and the Muslim Brotherhood calls upon Muslims to wage jihad as a religious duty. Hamas is only the tip of the iceberg. Israel may defeat it, but the jihadist goal of a global caliphate will not end. Neither will jihad violence aimed at Israel — and other infidel polities.

The determination to reestablish the caliphate is backed by the record of 1,400 years of jihad. What more do people need? The truth that few want to hear is that Israel is at the forefront of the battle for all of the West.” Read more.

The law also bans the burning of “other religious text.” But let’s not kid ourselves. Denmark’s parliament would have never adopted such a law if it were simply Bibles being burned and Christians shaking their heads in displeasure. Rather, Denmark felt compelled to adopt the law because of a Muslim predisposition to violence and terrorism and what may ensue when Qur’ans are burned.

When it comes to Dar al-Islam, it is not enough for Islamists to simply rewrite history in an effort to support their claims to lands they occupy today to solidify current control. They also seek to change the laws of the land they plan on occupying to solidify future control. And Western nations adopting laws like this — a form of submission that only serves to reinforce the need for more Islamist violence any time they’re reminded of their perpetually offended feelings — are making those plans one step closer to fruition …

ABC News – “A new law was passed in Denmark’s parliament on Thursday that makes it illegal to desecrate any holy text in the country, after a recent string of public desecrations of the Quran by a handful of anti-Islam activists sparked angry demonstrations in Muslim countries.

The Scandinavian nation has been viewed abroad as a place that facilitates insults and denigration of the cultures, religions and traditions of other countries. The purpose of the law was to counter ‘the systematic mockery’ which, among other things, has contributed to intensifying the threat of terrorism in Denmark, the justice ministry has said.

‘We must protect the security of Denmark and Danes,’ Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard said in a statement. ‘That is why it is important that we now get better protection against the systematic desecrations we have seen for a long time.’

The Folketing, or parliament, adopted the law in a 94-77 vote, with eight lawmakers absent. The new legislation will make it a crime ‘to inappropriately treat, publicly or with the intention of dissemination in a wider circle, a writing with significant religious significance for a religious community or an object that appears as such.’ Works of art where ‘a minor part’ includes a desecration, but is part of a larger artistic production, isn’t covered by the ban.

During the more than four-hour debate, left-leaning and far-right parties united against the center-right government, repeatedly demanding that the three-party coalition that presented the draft on Aug. 25, take part in the discussion. The government didn’t say anything and were called ‘cowards’ by the opposition.

‘Does Iran change its legislation because Denmark feels offended by something an Iranian could do? Does Pakistan? Does Saudi Arabia? The answer is no,’ Karina Lorentzen of the Socialist People’s Party asked rhetorically. Inger Støjberg of the anti-immigration Denmark Democrats said that the new law was a capitulation to Islam and a bowing down to countries that ‘do not share (our) set of values.‘

‘A restriction of freedom of expression is wrong in a modern and enlightened society like the Danish one,’ Støjberg said…

BACA – “In the early hours of the morning, tragedy befell the Talvandi Anayat Khan Bajwa community in Pasrur, Sialkot [in Pakistan], when 20-year-old Farhan ul Qamar (20 yrs), an aspiring medical student and devout Christian, was brutally murdered in his own home.

The assailant, identified as Muhammad Zubair (24 yrs), targeted Farhan for expressing support for Israel on social media during the recent conflict with Palestine.

For an agonizing half-hour, the heartless assailant subjected the family and other Christians in the vicinity to relentless abuse, baselessly accusing them of being Jewish agents and issuing ominous threats of mass murder.

The remorseless culprit has since been apprehended by the police, and disturbingly, he has expressed an intention to target other Christians upon his release from prison.” Read more.

Medforth – “Turkish extremists rejoice: the Cologne monument to the Armenian genocide, which Turkey does not recognise, has been repeatedly erected and dismantled over the years. Sometimes the city had the statue removed on the grounds that a cycle path was to be built and sometimes for fear of ‘social upheaval’. After a march by Turkish nationalists, including supporters of the far-right Grey Wolves and DITIB associations, at the end of October, the city finally decided that the memorial should be removed.

The memorial was erected in Cologne in 2018 to commemorate the victims of the Armenian genocide between 1915 and 1918. At that time, between 300,000 and more than 1.5 million people were murdered in massacres and death marches under the responsibility of the Young Turk government of the Ottoman Empire, which was formed by the Committee for Unity and Progress. For international historians, the genocide is indisputable, but Turkey does not recognise the crime.

Since its inauguration next to the Kaiser Wilhelm equestrian statue, the memorial of the ‘Remember Genocide’ initiative has repeatedly caused disputes with Turkish nationalists, who have successfully put pressure on the city. Following protests, the memorial was repeatedly removed by the city and rebuilt by activists from the initiative – although the city’s reasons for not granting the memorial permission and removing it often varied from time to time. Sometimes it was said that a cycle path was to be built and sometimes they were a little more frank – speaking of fear of ‘social upheaval’.

For example, Cologne’s mayor Reker recently justified herself with the ‘diverse interests of our pluralistic urban society’, which had to be taken into account. However, this did not stop the ‘Remember Genocide’ initiative from putting the sculpture back up in the city centre on April 24 this year, Remembrance Day. The city then issued a special use permit until May 24. However, this was not sufficient for the campaign and they filed a legal complaint.

In addition to denying the genocide against the Armenians, the participants in the demonstration did not distance themselves from the atrocities committed by Hamas in Israel and even denied them. The chairman of the youth organisation ‘Fatherland Party’ spoke to public broadcaster WDR about the right of Palestinians to defend themselves, explicitly including Hamas terror.” Read more.
