Egyptian Magazine: Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrates Obama Administration, Influencing US Policy

By John Rossomando, IPT – “An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy.

The Dec. 22 story published in Egypt’s Rose El-Youssef magazine (read an IPT translation here) suggests the six turned the White House ‘from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.’

The story is largely unsourced, but its publication is considered significant in raising the issue to Egyptian readers.

The six named people include: Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

Alikhan is a founder of the World Islamic Organization, which the magazine identifies as a Brotherhood ‘subsidiary.’ It suggests that Alikhan was responsible for the ‘file of Islamic states’ in the White House and that he provides the direct link between the Obama administration and the Arab Spring revolutions of 2011.

Elibiary, who has endorsed the ideas of radical Muslim Brotherhood luminary Sayyid Qutb, may have leaked secret materials contained in Department of Homeland Security databases, according to the magazine. He, however, denies having any connection with the Brotherhood.

The Islamization Of France In 2012

By Soeren Kern, Gatestone Institute – “Opinion surveys show that to voters in France — home to an estimated 6.5 million Muslims, the largest Muslim population in the European Union — Islam and the question of Muslim immigration have emerged in 2012 as a top-ranked public concern. The French, it seems, are increasingly worried about the establishment of a parallel Muslim society there.

But government efforts this year to push back against the Islamization of France were halting and half-hearted and could be described as ‘one step forward, two steps back.’

A chronological review of some of the main stories involving the rise of Islam in France during 2012 includes:

Muslim immigrants, as of January, began to find it more difficult to obtain French citizenship. New citizenship rules that entered into effect on January 1, 2012 now require all applicants to pass exams on French culture and history and also to prove that their French language skills are equivalent to those of a 15-year-old native speaker. Moreover, candidates seeking French citizenship will be required to pledge allegiance to ‘French values.’

Muslim applicants make up the majority of the 100,000 people naturalized as French citizens each year, and the new citizenship requirements form part of a larger effort to promote Muslim integration into French society.

In February, the Persian Gulf Emirate of Qatar announced plans to invest €50 million ($65 million) in French suburbs, home to more than one million disgruntled Muslim immigrants.

Qatar said its investment was intended to support small businesses in disadvantaged Muslim neighborhoods. But as Qatar, like Saudi Arabia, subscribes to the ultra-conservative Wahhabi sect of Islam, critics say the emirate’s real objective is to peddle its religious ideology among Muslims in France and other parts of Europe.

Shortly before Qatar announced its plans to invest in France, Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, who has long cultivated an image as a pro-Western reformist and modernizer, vowed to ‘spare no effort‘ to spread the fundamentalist teachings of Wahhabi Islam across ‘the whole world.’

France: Muslim Mobs Burn Nearly 1,200 Cars On New Year’s Eve

The Conservative Papers – “Interior Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday that 1,193 vehicles were burned overnight around the country.  Clashes between police and offenders in the New Year’s Eve took place in the Muslim majority districts in the city of Strasbourg and Mulhouse.  About seven police officers were attacked New Years eve night.

Around 1,200 cars were burned by rioting Muslims on the New Year’s Eve in France, where the mass burning cars in the national holidays are kind of tradition among Muslim residents of the disadvantaged suburbs of immigrants.

In recent years, the celebration of the New Year and the Bastille Day (July 14) in France is often marked by mass burning cars as well. On the night of January 1, 2010, there were 1,137 thousand cars burned on the night of January 1, 2009 – 1,147 thousand were burned.

In the summer of 2010, the Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux made the decision to stop the practice of  counting  the demonstrators, as they claimed it only encourages the Muslim youths to commit such crimes .  The current Minister of the Interior said that ‘the French people should know the truth.’

Nigerian President Warns The End Times May Be ‘So Close’ After Islamists Massacre 15 More Christians Attending Church

PM News – “In another deadly move portraying Nigeria’s Borno state as a killing field for Nigerian Christians, attackers have stormed a church service in Kiyak village in the outskirts of Chibok, killing another set of 15 worshippers.

It was the second major killing of Christians in the Chibok area. Early in December, 10 Christians were also killed in the area.

Though Nigeria’s military denied the latest attack in a statement, the regional coordinator for the country’s National Emergency Management Agency, Mohammed Kanar, confirmed it, saying the victims were shot dead.

News of the killings emerged after President Goodluck Jonathan questioned whether deadly Islamist attacks on churches in his country and other violence worldwide could be signs of coming ‘end times’.

‘We received information from our personnel in Chibok that some attackers stormed a church during Sunday service yesterday and killed 15 people,’ Kanar told AFP.

He later specified that the attack was at an evangelical church in Kyachi village outside Chibok.

The attack followed another gruesome killing Friday that saw attackers slit the throats of 15 Christians in a pre-dawn raid in Musari, also in Borno state, where Boko Haram has been based.

During a Christmas Eve service last week, gunmen attacked a church in the neighbouring Yobe state, killing six people, including the pastor, before setting the building ablaze.

Violence linked to Boko Haram’s insurgency in northern and central Nigeria is believed to have left some 3,000 people dead since 2009, including killings by the security forces.

Last year’s violence had prompted Jonathan to declare a state of emergency in the hardest-hit areas.

During comments Sunday in which he mentioned attacks on churches in Nigeria, Syria’s war and the situation in the Central African Republic, where rebels have pushed their way across the impoverished country, Jonathan spoke of the Biblical end times.

‘I was just wondering, could this be a clear way of telling us that the end times are so close?’ he told the church congregation.

Some Christians believe in the idea of chaos in connection with the second coming of Jesus Christ, commonly referred to as the ‘end times’. Such beliefs are based on passages in the New Testament’s Book of Revelation.” Read more.

Egyptian Cleric Threatens Egypt’s Christians With Genocide, ‘You Will Be Wiped Off The Face Of The Earth’

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “Islamic leaders continue to portray the popular protests against President Morsi and his recently passed Sharia-heavy constitution as products of Egypt’s Christians. Recently, Muslim Brotherhood leader Safwat Hegazy said in an open rally, as captured on video:

A message to the church of Egypt, from an Egyptian Muslim: I tell the church — by Allah, and again, by Allah — if you conspire and unite with the remnants [opposition] to bring Morsi down, that will be another matter…. our red line is the legitimacy of Dr. Muhammad Morsi. Whoever splashes water on it, we will splash blood on him.”

More recently, Dr. Wagdi Ghoneim — who earlier praised Allah for the death of the late Coptic Pope Shenouda, cursing him to hell and damnation on video — made another video, entitled, ‘A Notice and Warning to the Crusaders in Egypt,’ a reference to the nation’s Copts, which he began by saying, ‘You are playing with fire in Egypt, I swear, the first people to be burned by the fire are you [Copts].’ The video was made in the context of the Tahrir protests against Morsi: Islamic leaders, such as Hegazy and Ghoneim, seek to portray the Copts as dominant elements in those protests; according to them, no real Muslim would participate. Ghoneim even went on to say that most of the people at the protests were Copts, ‘and we know you hid your [wrist] crosses by lowering your sleeves.’

The heart of Ghoneim’s message was genocidal: ‘The day Egyptians — and I don’t even mean the Muslim Brotherhood or Salafis, regular Egyptians — feel that you are against them, you will be wiped off the face of the earth. I’m warning you now: do not play with fire!’

Along with trying to incite Egypt’s Muslims against the Copts, and threatening them with annihilation, Ghoneim made other telling assertions, including:

  • Addressing the Christians of Egypt as ‘Crusaders,’ once again showing Islam’s simplistic, black-and-white vision, which clumps all Christians — of all nations, past and present, regardless of historical context and denomination — as one, in accordance with an Islamic tradition that states ‘All infidels are one religion.’

Syria: Rebels Behead Christian, Feed Body To Dogs As Fears Grow Over Islamist Atrocities

The nun said taxi driver Andrei Arbashe, 38, was kidnapped after his brother was heard complaining that fighters against the ruling regime behaved like bandits.

She said his headless corpse was found by the side of the road, surrounded by hungry dogs. He had recently married and was soon to be a father.

Sister Agnes-Mariam de la Croix said: ‘His only crime was his brother criticised the rebels, accused them of acting like bandits, which is what they are.’

There have been a growing number of accounts of atrocities carried out by rogue elements of the Syrian Free Army, which opposes dictator Bashar al-Assad and is recognised by Britain and the West as the legitimate leadership.

Sister Agnes-Miriam, mother superior of the Monastery of St James the Mutilated, has condemned Britain and the west for supporting the rebels despite growing evidence of human rights abuses. Murder, kidnapping, rape and robbery are becoming commonplace, she says.

‘The free and democratic world is supporting extremists,’ Sister Agnes-Miriam said from her sanctuary in Lebanon. ‘They want to impose Sharia Law and create an Islamic state in Syria.’

The 60-year-old Carmelite nun claims the west has turned a blind eye to growing evidence of a ‘fifth column’ of fanatics within the rag-tag ranks that make up the Free Syrian Army that they back to oust Assad.

One of the most effective fighting forces is the Jabat Al-Nusra, which has an ideology similar to Al Qaeda.

‘The uprising has been hijacked by Islamist mercenaries who are more interested in fighting a holy war than in changing the government,’ she said.

‘It has turned into a sectarian conflict. One in which Christians are paying a high price.’” Read more.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood To Pursue ‘Tight’ Relationship With Hezbollah Terror Organization

The Jerusalem Post – “In a dramatic policy shift, Egypt will seek to forge ‘tight’ relations with Hezbollah, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Hamdy revealed in a candid interview published on Saturday in the Beirut-based Daily Star.

‘You cannot discuss politics in Lebanon without having a relationship with Hezbollah,’ Hamdy was quoting as saying, before describing the terrorist group as a ‘real force on the ground’ with ‘big political and military influence.’

Hamdy announced that Muslim-Brotherhood- dominated Egypt would begin ‘stretching [its] hand out in the proper, balanced way to all regional powers,’ including Hezbollah, to forge ‘tight’ contacts with Lebanon’s rulers.

Egypt-Hezbollah relations, generally strained under president Hosni Mubarak, in large part due to Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel, reached rock bottom in 2008 during Israel’s Cast Lead military operation.

At that time, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah called on Egypt, to no avail, to intervene militarily on behalf of Gaza-based Palestinians.

For its part, Egypt in the past has accused Hezbollah of operating terrorist cells in the country.

In his interview, Hamdy denied reports that Hezbollah had sent a delegation to Egypt to meet with officials from President Mohamed Morsi’s administration, but confirmed that he personally had met with members of Hezbollah’s political bureau in efforts ‘to understand each other better.’

‘In discussions we said we want Hezbollah to remain as a political force in Lebanon,’ Hamdy said.

‘Resistance in the sense of defending Lebanese territory… [is] their primary role. We… think that as a resistance movement they have done a good job to keep on defending Lebanese territory, and trying to regain land occupied by Israel is legal and legitimate,’ he continued.

Hamdy concluded by saying that while domestic concerns had slowed Egypt from undertaking new, ambitious foreign policy objectives, the country ultimately sees itself playing an instrumental role in the region.

‘Egypt’s soft power is its strength,’ he said. ‘To expect 180-degree shifts in strong positions take some time…. Egypt will reveal itself as a real regional power and a ‘doer’ on the regional scene, and we are keen to show that.'” Source – The Jerusalem Post.

Nigeria: Islamists Tie Up And Slit Throats Of At Least 15 Men, Women And Children In Maiduguri

Herald Sun – “SUSPECTED radical Islamist gunmen have attacked a village in northeast Nigeria, tying up men, women and children before slitting their throats and killing at least 15 in the troubled region’s latest attack.

The assault happened early on Friday morning in the village of Musari on the outskirts of Maiduguri.

The gunmen, suspected of being members of Boko Haram, shouted religious slogans and later ordered people to gather up into a group, said Mshelia Inusa, a primary school teacher in the village.

Chants of ‘God is great, God is great’ followed, he said.

Later, Mr Inusa and others saw corpses with their hands tied behind their backs and their throats cut.

Later Friday morning, an ambulance arrived at the State Specialists Hospital in Maiduguri, accompanied by a group of military vehicles, a security guard said. Agitated soldiers ordered people away, but the guard said he counted at least 15 bodies being brought into the facility’s morgue.

A military spokesman later issued a statement saying only five people had been killed in the village during the attack. However, military and police officials routinely downplay casualty figures because they are under increasing pressure from their superiors to minimise the perceived effects of the ongoing attacks by Boko Haram.

Boko Haram could not be immediately reached for comment.

‘Allah Turns Woman Into Frog For Burning Koran At Tea Party Hate Rally’

Where is a Saudi prince when you need one? Since Muslims believe that Allah turned Jews into apes and pigs, it only makes sense that he would turn infidel Tea Party members into frogs, right?  I mean, just look at that frog sitting in an upright position. Normally one would come to the conclusion that a video such as this was some type of early (or woefully late) April Fools joke. Truth be told, one would think that many fatwas themselves are an April Fools joke of sorts. Unfortunately, they aren’t. Swedish Officials Order Iranian Christian Deported Despite Possible Imprisonment Or Even Death For Leaving Islam

By Steve Little, CBN News – “An Iranian convert to Christianity seeking asylum in Sweden is once again facing deportation to Iran, according to his pastor. If he’s sent back to Iran, the convert, Reza Jebbari, could be imprisoned or even put to death for leaving Islam.

CBN News first reported on Jebbari’s case last month when Swedish authorities rejected his application for asylum and ordered him deported. A few days later, a Migration Board official announced they were halting the deportation process and granting Jebbari another hearing.

Now, Jebbari’s pastor, Cai Berger, tells CBN News that another migration official has denied the request for asylum and police are seeking to take Jebbari into custody and begin the deportation process.

Jebbari’s lawyer has already filed another appeal, but Berger says they are puzzled at the government’s persistence in its attempts to deport the Christian convert.

‘It would seem that we are in a tight spot again and, quite frankly, we’re at a loss as to why the Migration services are so determined to deport [him],’ Berger wrote CBN News in an email. ‘People with weaker cases get permission to stay in Sweden, but not him.’

CBN News has yet to receive a reply to an email to the Swedish Migration Board’s press office requesting an explanation for the decision to deny asylum.

Christians in Iran, especially those who convert from Islam, are harshly persecuted. CBN News reportedly extensively on the case of Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who was imprisoned for three years and sentenced to die for apostasy. Sharia Law: The Only Form Of Religious Law Extant That Is Also Meant To Apply To Non-Muslims And Its Threat To America

By Fred Grandy, American Thinker – “There is a great deal of misinformation circulating with regard to sharia and the threat it poses to America and Western Civilization.

Some misinformed observers and members of the Muslim Brotherhood liken concerns over sharia to prejudice and bigotry, but the facts say otherwise.

Terrorism experts in the law enforcement, military and intelligence communities have cited sharia as the Jihadists’ enemy threat doctrine in an intensive study called ‘Shariah: The Threat to America,’ a scholarly, 352-page book based on authoritative sources of sharia, or Islamic law. While sharia does include ‘prayer and fasting’ and ‘worship,’ sharia is also an all-encompassing legal and political code that covers aspects of life that have nothing to do with religion.

Perhaps most importantly, unlike other forms of religious law, such as canon law and Jewish law, sharia is the only form of religious law extant that is also meant to apply to people of other faiths, i.e. non-Muslims.

The threat from sharia has nothing to do with prejudice or bigotry. The threat from sharia is real and multifaceted.

Some claim that sharia is no threat to the American legal system, but research shows such a threat does exist. Just as sharia has gradually become embedded in the legal systems of many European nations over the past generation, it is beginning to be found in US court cases. An initial study by the Center for Security Policy entitled ‘Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases,’ examined 50 cases from 23 states that involved conflicts between sharia and American state law. The study’s findings suggest that sharia has entered into state court decisions, in conflict with the Constitution and state public policy.

This incursion of sharia into US court systems usually manifests itself in the form of foreign law from nations such as Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Syria and other predominantly Islamic nations.  As a result, four states, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arizona and Kansas, have passed into law ‘American Laws for American Courts,’ legislation. Several more states are considering American Laws for American Courts. Unlike Oklahoma’s infamous constitutional amendment, American Laws for American Courts does not ban sharia. American Laws for American Courts protects individual, fundamental constitutional rights by preventing courts from applying foreign law when the application of that foreign law in the case at hand would result in the violation of a fundamental constitutional right, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, due process and equal protection.
