Mozambique: Christians Terrorized And Beheaded By Islamic Insurgents – “At least nine Christians in Cabo Delgado Province, northern Mozambique, have been killed in separate attacks by Islamist insurgents. The worst atrocity took place on July 22, when fighters from Islamic State Mozambique (IS-M) captured and beheaded six Christians from the village of Natocua, Ancuabe district. Three more were killed in Chiure district in attacks on July 24 and 25. IS-M has been waging an insurgency in Cabo Dalgado since 2017, slaughtering thousands of people. The insurgents have also demanded that Christians pay a jizya tax as a sign of their submission to the self-styled caliphate.” Read more.

Congo: Islamist Terrorists Behead Christians, Including Children, During Church Service – “[D]etails from the scene of the horrific massacre Sunday by Jihadists allied to the Islamic State of at least 49 Christians worshiping in a church in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Nine of those who were decapitated were children. Several other children … were abducted. The attackers were members of the Islamist Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a sanctioned rebel group with roots in Uganda… worshipers had come from surrounding villages to celebrate the church’s Silver Jubilee in prayer and to pray for ‘the security situation’ – to pray for peace. ‘Attackers came in’ she said, ‘and they beheaded Christians in the church.’ The jihadis ‘killed those they met in the church hall. Those who tried to flee, they caught them and killed them in the compound. And then some others who managed to run towards the road, those also were caught and killed.'” Read more.

Nigeria: Muslims Murder Christians During Bible Study – “In Nigeria, Christians make up just under half of the population, yet they endure a majority of the persecution. On Friday, Fulani herdsmen reportedly killed five Christians and wounded three others during a Bible study in the north-central region of the African country… ‘This is the present predicament of most communities within Kajuru and Kachia Local Council Areas in southern part of Kaduna state,’ the resident said. ‘We constantly live in fear every day. We can’t sleep in our homes and we can’t go to farms.’ … ‘In Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, and other Middle Belt states, thousands of Christians have been killed, maimed, and raped and millions of them have been driven from their lands and are now homeless, due to Fulani attacks.'” Read more.

Nigeria: Islamists Massacre Scores Of Christians, Children Burned Alive – “Villagers scrub streaks of blood from the walls of brick huts and barns… Last month, dozens of attackers stormed the farming village of Yelwata in Benue state — Nigeria’s fertile ‘breadbasket’ — killing at least 160 people. Armed with rifles, machetes and fuel, they struck as families slept… The massacre unfolded in the country’s volatile Middle Belt, where Christian farming communities like Yelwata sit on fertile land… When NPR visited Yelwata in the aftermath of the killings Christian prayer books littered the ruins… 45-year-old farmer Terhemba Lormba farmed rice, maize, cashew nuts and citrus and sat on a stool outside what’s left of his home. Eight of his family were killed. ‘Most of them were burnt alive,’ including three of his children, he said, wiping his eyes…” Read more.

Nigeria: Converts To Christianity Shot To Death By Islamists, Woman Abducted – “A peace-making pastor and a prominent convert from Islam have been murdered in an attack on a church… Islamist militant gunmen burst into a worship service, and shot and killed Pastor Emmanuel Na’allah and his friend, teacher Samaila Gidan Taro, who had converted from Islam. A woman, reported to be the wife of a Pentecostal pastor, was abducted… Pastor Emmanuel continued to serve even though he knew the dangers – having previously received death threats from Islamist radicals. ‘If I must die, let it be in the service of God and peace,’ … His conversion from Islam had caused a stir in the local community, and eyewitnesses report that the 15-20 gunmen were screaming ‘Death to infidels’ when they entered the village.” Read more.

Islam requires the earth – not just a portion – but the whole planet.”

North Sudan: Muslim Authorities Destroying Churches, Christian Homes Attacked – “Authorities in Sudan on July 8 demolished a church complex in Khartoum North … ‘Last month, Rafat Samir, a church leader and the chairman of the Evangelical Community Council for Sudan, warned that the future of the church in Sudan remains precarious under the SAF’s de facto government,’ Open Doors reported. ‘They will target all churches in the outlying areas of the main cities and demolish them with a direct attack … As for the large churches within the city centers, they will target them by using other apparently lawful reasons to destroy the church buildings.’ … Conditions in Sudan worsened as civil war that broke out in April 2023 intensified. Sudan registered increases in the number of Christians killed and sexually assaulted and Christian homes and businesses attacked …” Read more.

Uganda: Convert To Christianity Stabbed To Death By Muslim Relatives – “Muslim relatives of a Christian convert in eastern Uganda on Friday (July 18) forced their way into his locked home and killed him, sources said. As he had done since accepting Christ in April, Kasajja Abdul Maliki of Kaliro village, Kaliro District had locked himself in his house during Friday mosque service to pray and study the Bible when his Muslim relatives burst in and stabbed him to death, his niece said. He was 37… His niece, identified only as Shamina, said that on Friday (July 18) at about 3 p.m. the relatives heard Maliki praying loudly inside his house ‘in the name of Issa [Jesus], petitioning Issa to save the family members.’ … The attack was the latest of many instances of persecution of Christians in Uganda …” Read more.
