For peaceful purposes. I find it interesting that the Qur’an at times emphasizes the significance of a Muslim’s forehead being marked during the worship of “Allah” (this mark is required in order to be saved from hellfire per the Hadith) and how their works will be judged by what is in their right hand on the Day of Judgment …

Qur’an Sura 48:29, “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers … The mark of them is on their foreheads from the traces of prostration …”

Revelation 13:15, 20:4, “The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed … And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands …”

Qur’an Sura 18:49, “And the Book (one’s Record) will be placed (in the right hand for a believer in the Oneness of Allah, and in the left hand for a disbeliever in the Oneness of Allah) …”

Qur’an Sura 69:19, “Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!”

Revelation 20:12, 15, “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books … Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Qur’an Sura 57:12, “On that day [of judgement] you will see the faithful men and the faithful women [Muslims] — their light running before them and on their right hand …”

Aleteia – “… the Bishop of Maiduguri, while describing Boko Haram’s advances in Niger, Chad, Cameroon and Libya, confirmed that Western military intervention may be the only option sufficient to confront the militants of these terrorist groups who have allied themselves to ISIS.

The bishop, whose diocese is located in the middle of an area that is controlled by ISIS in northern Nigeria believes that ‘the West must send ground forces in order to oust Boko Haram and contain its advances.’ He added that ‘a Western-led military campaign is necessary.’

Bishop Dashe Doemi indicated that the attack on Baga has revealed the weaknesses of the Nigerian Army and the inefficacy of its officers who spend their time ‘taking orders instead of giving them.’

He added, ‘Within the ranks of the Army there are Boko Haram sympathizers, some of whom have secretly joined the organization. There are also others who have simply left the Army and joined Boko Haram.’

Likewise, Bishop Doemi has requested that secret foreign assistance, which the Islamic organization has obtained, be stopped. He claimed that the ‘Nigerian government knows precisely who is supporting Boko Haram.’

Thousands of people have been killed, 50 churches have been destroyed and most of the members of those churches have become refugees. Boko Haram’s threats over the last five years have ruined his diocese. Two hundred other shrines and churches have fallen into neglect.

Bishop Doemi indicated that thousands of his parishioners have been murdered; most of them at the hands of Islamists. ‘They are pointing guns at their heads or holding knives to their necks while telling them that they will kill them all if they do not convert to Islam. A large number of believers have already been assassinated because they refused to convert to Islam.’

‘… Due to the fact that so many of the believers are leaving the area or are dying, some of the regions have become completely devoid of its Christian population.'” Read more.

Leader of Boko Haram: “I swear by Allah’s holy name that I will slaughter you. I will not be happy if I don’t personally put my knife on your necks and slit your throats. Yes! I’ll slaughter you! I’ll slaughter you! And I’ll slaughter you again and again… I call on all my followers and brethren wherever you are, to rise and take up arms and start killing the vagabond. Kill them, kill them and kill them… By Allah, I will kill you. Killing is my job. Let’s kill them all … May Allah curse you!”

John 16:2b-3, “… the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God. This is because they have never known the Father or Me.”

Unlike false and self-fulfilling “prophecies” found in Islam, here we have yet another example of true predictive prophecy found in the Book of Revelation. When it comes to the Qur’an and the Bible, only one is truly Divine in origin. And it certainly isn’t the Qur’an …

Revelation 9:21, “And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries [“φαρμακεία” – idolatry] or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”

Qur’an Sura 9:111, “… They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed …”

AINA – “ISIS has opened a special market to sell property it looted from Assyrian homes and churches in Mosul. The market, called ‘Spoils Of The Nazarenes,’ sells televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens and other electronic devices, as well as furniture and artwork. Prices range from 50,000 to 75,000 Iraqi Dinars ($42 to $63).

ISIS captured the city of Mosul on June 10. Almost immediately thereafter it began to drive Assyrians out of Mosul and destroy Christian and non-Sunni institutions. It imposed a poll tax (jizya) on Assyrians, ordered unmarried women to ‘Jihad by sex’, destroyed the statue of the Virgin Mary at the Immaculate Church of the Highest in the neighborhood of AlShafa in Mosul, as well as the statue of Mullah Osman Al-Musali.

On June 26 Kurds clashed with ISIS near Baghdede, an Assyrian town east of Mosul, forcing nearly 50,000 Assyrians to flee.

On July 8 ISIS removed the Cross from St. Ephrem Cathedral in the Shoorta neighborhood in Mosul, one week after the church was seized on July 1.

On July 18 ISIS marked Christian homes with the Arabic letter ‘N’ for the word Nasrani, which means Christian.

On July 19 ISIS plundered Assyrians as they fled Mosul.

On July 22 ISIS and Kurds clashed near the Assyrian town Tel Kepe; 2000 Assyrian families were driven from Mosul.

On July 29 ISIS destroyed or occupied all 45 Christian institutions in Mosul.

On August 2 ISIS looted 8 million dollars from Assyrian farms.

By Leah Marieann Klett, The Gospel Herald – “In a show of hostility towards Christianity, Islamic State, or its sympathizers, hacked the website of Westminster Presbyterian Church, posting the statement ‘I love Islam and Jihadist,’ a gruesome video, and some very disturbing language.

According to Wate.com, the pastor of the 200 member church, Jim Richter was informed of the incident the next morning after receiving an email from a concerned church member. After contacting the organization that services the website, it became clear that the terrorist group had meant to target multiple churches in the area.

‘A lot of churches apparently and organizations that [the company] serve were hacked so it doesn’t appear to be something that is directed at our church,’ Richter said…

‘I think it’s terrifying, it’s hostile no matter what you say about it,’ Marty Conley, who lives in Johnson City said. ‘I thought that was really strange.’

Conley added that the hack brought the violence of the Islamic State far too close to home.

‘You don’t think about that type of thing happening in our area, I mean little town Johnson City, Tennessee.”

Juliette Monroe, who lives in a city neighboring Johnson City, told the Gospel Herald, ‘Whether this is just a prank or a real threat from ISIS, it’s incredibly disrespectful to the church and to Christianity in general … this is a very serious matter and very frightening for us living in this small community.’

The Westminster Presbyterian Church pastor added that the hacking of the church’s computer is evidence that spiritual attacks are a very real threat.” Read more.

Flashback: Ohio: Church Web Sites Replaced by Muslim Hacker Pushing for Conversion to Islam – “A computer hacker took control of more than a dozen church Web sites hosted by a Perrysburg designer this week, replacing their regular content with an appeal that Christians convert to Islam… ‘It was unnerving, but I think also it was an indicator to me of the different world we live in,’ said Mr. Dauer, the assistant pastor at Fallen Timbers… ‘It seemed like he was clearly trying to convert people. I don’t see how he could actually be successful with this, but he was talking about Christians converting to Islam,’ Mr. Leisure said.” Read more.

Flashback: Islamic Extremists Hack Websites Of Primary School And Church In Yorkshire – “Islamic extremists have hacked the websites of a primary school and a church and replaced their homepages with a hate message against the US and Israel. A group calling itself X-saad hijacked the sites of Sowerby Community Primary School and the Danish Church of Hull, both in Yorkshire, and replaced them with a sinister Islamic-State style page… The message that appeared on both websites included a picture of the US and Israeli flag with a red cross through it. It is on a black background, similar to an ISIS flag, with English writing in red and Arabic script in white. The statement reads: ‘We Hackers We defend our religion, we do not forget we are without limits we do not believe in the laws'” Read more.

Flashback: Canada: Ontario Church Website Hacked With ISIS Message – “Police in Barrie, Ont., are investigating after a local church’s website was hacked by someone proclaiming support for the Islamic State terror group and calling for the elimination of America. Someone posted what appears to be the ISIS logo and wrote ‘I love you ISIS’ on the Inniswood Baptist Church website Monday afternoon. A long, difficult-to-decipher message calling for the destruction of America was also posted on the site, along with images of fighter jets and bloody victims of attacks… Pro-ISIS messages also turned up two weeks ago on the University of New Brunswick student union site.” Read more.

Mail Online – “The Islamic State jihadist group Monday urged Muslims to carry out new attacks after the targeting of France’s Charlie Hebdo magazine, in a recording by its spokesman posted online.

Abu Mohamed al-Adnani, referring to attacks in France, Australia, Canada and Belgium, urged ‘Muslims in Europe and the infidel West to attack the Crusaders where they are.’

‘We promise that in the Christian bastions they will continue to live in a state of alert, of terror, of fear and insecurity… You have seen nothing yet,’ the recording said.

He added that the group would consider as ‘enemies’ those Muslims who were able to carry out such attacks but failed to do so.

The threat is just the latest instance in which the jihadist group has urged Muslims to carry out attacks in the West.

It comes after 17 people were killed in deadly assaults on January 7-9 in Paris against Charlie Hebdo magazine and a kosher supermarket.

Of the three attackers, only one appeared to have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, but the group endorsed the killings in the message.” Read more.

If Islamic governments, religious leaders — and even Muslim terror entities like Boko Haram and ISIS who violently impose Islamic laws everywhere they spread — all ignored the teachings of the Qur’an, it would be bereft of life even more than it already is. Unfortunately, even a cursory look at current events quickly becomes a stark reminder of how the 7th century “Word of Allah” continues to speak loud and clear in the 21st. Those who “kill and are killed” for the compassionate and merciful “Allah” continue to do so one bullet, one bomb, one body at a time. In Islam’s twisted world of murder and martyrdom, the “Word of Allah” is given a breath of fresh air each and every time another victim is forced to take their last …

By Haruna Umar and Michelle Faul, The Globe and Mail – “Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has claimed responsibility for the mass killings in the northeast Nigerian town of Baga and threatened more violence.

As many as 2,000 civilians were killed and 3,700 homes and business were destroyed in the Jan. 3 attack on the town near Nigeria’s border with Cameroon, said Amnesty International.

The leader of Nigeria’s Islamic extremists took responsibility for the killings in a video posted on YouTube Tuesday, the same day International Criminal Court prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said she is examining the allegations of mass killings and will prosecute those most responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Nigeria.

‘We are the ones who fought the people of Baga, and we have killed them with such a killing as He [Allah] commanded us in his book,’ Shekau says, according to a translation from Arabic provided by SITE Intelligence Group.

The video shows weapons supposedly captured from a key military base at Baga.

‘This is just the beginning of the killings. What you’ve just witnessed is a tip of the iceberg. More deaths are coming,’ said Shekau in the local Hausa language.

‘This will mark the end of politics and democracy in Nigeria,’ he warned as the country gears up for critical Feb. 14 presidential elections.

The attack on Baga has sparked international outrage not seen since Boko Haram kidnapped nearly 300 girls from a boarding school in April last year.” Read more.

Qur’an Sura 48:29, “Mohammed is [Allah’s] apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another.”

By Paul McGeough, The Sydney Morning Herald – “It’s a ‘brief’ war, which is to say that media reports on the brutal, dehumanising violence as Boko Haram consolidates its hold on a nation-sized slice of Nigeria invariably are ‘briefs’ because it is being fought in a ‘too’ area – too dangerous, too remote, too far down any list of global priorities.

But satellite images released by London-based human rights group Amnesty International add weight to troubling speculation that Boko Haram, the African iteration of the so-called Islamic State which continues to run amok in Syria and Iraq, has just concluded its worst atrocity.

‘These detailed images show devastation of catastrophic proportions in two towns, one of which was almost wiped off the map in the space of four days,’ said Daniel Eyre, Nigeria researcher for Amnesty. ‘Of all Boko Haram’s assaults … this is the largest and most destructive yet. It represents a deliberate attack on civilians whose homes, clinics and schools are now burnt-out ruins.’

Nigerian authorities have played down an estimated death toll of as many as 2000 villagers, who are said to have been gunned down as they attempted to escape on foot or were incinerated while hiding in their homes, which were torched. But Amnesty describes the satellite imagery as ‘indisputable and shocking’ evidence of the scale of attacks, the extent of which previously had to be extrapolated from witness accounts given over the phone.

By Amnesty’s count, more than 3700 structures were damaged or destroyed. In Doron Baga, a town less than 4 square kilometres in size, about 3100 structures appear to be reduced to cinders or damaged; in nearby Baga, 2 square kilometres, the count is about 620.

Eyre explains another dramatic element in the images: ‘Many of the wooden fishing boats along the shoreline [of Lake Chad], visible in the image taken on January 2, are no longer present in the January 7 image, tallying with eyewitness testimony that desperate residents fled by boat.’

Tactically, Boko Haram doubled-down after these attacks in Baga district, introducing a horrific new weapon to the conflict – child suicide bombers, as young as 10 and 15.

‘I looked up and saw body parts everywhere, then the body of a little girl cut in two,’ a man who identified himself as Ibrahim Abu told reporters, in the wake of an explosion near an open-air cafe where he sat with friends in a market at Potiskum, south-west of Baga…

A man in his 50s told Amnesty: ‘They killed so many people – I saw maybe around 100 killed at that time in Baga. I ran into the bush – as we were running, they were shooting and killing …’

Another man described his own flight in fear: ‘For five kilometres, I kept standing on dead bodies …’

A woman said: ‘I don’t know how many, but there were bodies everywhere we looked.'” Read more.

Flashback: Nigeria: Boko Haram: Our Goal Is To Eliminate Followers Of Christ – “Terrorist organisation Boko Haram has issued a statement making clear that its goal is to eliminate followers of Christ from Nigeria and establish an Islamic state. ‘The Nigerian state and Christians are our enemies and we will be launching attacks on the Nigerian state and its security apparatus as well as churches until we achieve our goal of establishing an Islamic state in place of the secular state … We are responsible for the suicide attack on a church in Jos and also another attack on another church in Biu,’ a spokesman for the group, Abul Qaqa, is said to have told reporters in the northeastern city of Maiduguri over the phone.” Read more.

Flashback: Nigeria’s Christian President Warns That The Current Massacre Of Christians Means The End Times Is Upon Us – “In another deadly move portraying Nigeria’s Borno state as a killing field for Nigerian Christians, attackers have stormed a church service in Kiyak village in the outskirts of Chibok, killing another set of 15 worshippers. It was the second major killing of Christians in the Chibok area. Early in December, 10 Christians were also killed in the area… News of the killings emerged after President Goodluck Jonathan questioned whether deadly Islamist attacks on churches in his country and other violence worldwide could be signs of coming ‘end times’… The attack followed another gruesome killing Friday that saw attackers slit the throats of 15 Christians in a pre-dawn raid in Musari …” Read more.

Those who claim that Islam is a “Religion of Peace” often love to quote a small portion of Sura 5:32 to somehow suggest that Islam expressly forbids murder. “To kill someone ‘is as if he had killed all mankind.’” If we read the full verse, however, it doesn’t take long to realize that it teaches something completely different: Like capturing and crippling, killing is not only permitted, it is often required for the express purpose of revenge or for halting the spread of “corruption” in the land. Since the teachings and beliefs of Jews and Christians and all non-Muslims in general are considered “corrupt” in Islam and are viewed by many as persecutory against Islamic doctrine and jurisprudence, the fact of the matter is that even the most “peaceful” verse in the entire Qur’an is itself yet another verse among many that devout Muslims use to justify all kinds of atrocities against the “enemies” of Islam. No matter the cost, may our brothers in Christ remain firm in Him and “not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more” (Luke 12:4) …

Qur’an Sura 5:32-33, “… whoever kills a soul unless for a soul [revenge] or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely … Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.”
