Dr. Muhammad Al-Saghir, a senior member of the board of directors for the International Union of Muslim Scholars, is now on record celebrating and justifying the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, describing October 7th as a “preemptive attack” and a “turning point” that signaled round one of a long-term plan to liberate “Palestine” and bring to fruition Hamas founder Sheikh Yassin’s “prophecy” of Israel’s destruction by the end of 2027. Allah bless Ahmad Yassin.’ He was hinting at Yassin’s 1999 statements on Qatar’s Al-Jazeera that he expected that in 2027 Israel would cease to exist based on what the Quran said.[3] …

On October 13, the day of the international summit at Sharm el-Sheikh that was led by the U.S. along with Hamas’s patrons Qatar and Turkey, Al-Saghir’s article was published on the Qatari Aljazeeramubasher.net. [5] In it, he again expressed his hope that Sheikh Yassin’s prophecy that Israel will cease to exist in 2027 would be fulfilled.

His article opened by stating that Hamas had in fact won the war and achieved the goals of its ‘preemptive strike’ – that is, its October 7, 2023 terror attack – by which, he said, it had ‘stopped the destruction of Al‑Aqsa Mosque and the train of normalization’ with Israel in the region. He added that Hamas had also prevented Israel from achieving its own war objectives.

Al-Saghir compared the Gaza war to the Battle of the Trench, the one-year siege (626–627 CE) imposed by opponents of the Prophet Muhammad – the people of Mecca and allied Bedouin tribes – on the city of Medina where the Prophet was staying at the time. According to Islamic tradition, that siege ended when a great storm struck the enemy camp and they retreated.

Rejecting the claims by Hamas opponents that the October 7 attack had produced nothing, and justifying the war’s many civilian victims and massive destruction in the Gaza Strip by calling the attack a ‘turning point’ in the struggle, he said that it signaled the beginning of the actualization of Sheikh Yassin’s prophecy regarding Israel’s elimination in 2027. He wrote:

‘Now the question again arises: What did the [Al-Aqsa] Flood accomplish? In addition to stopping the destruction of Al‑Aqsa Mosque and the train of normalization, the Flood operation was a turning point and the actual beginning of the liberation plan, which necessitates several rounds [of fighting]… History has [already] proven that the rightful owners are always rewarded, even if it takes a long time. More recently, the long-term occupation plans of America and its allies were defeated, [when] the Taliban movement succeeded in uniting all Afghan lands after decades of war.

‘On the ‘Testimony of the Era’ program [aired by Al-Jazeera in 1999] the sheikh of the jihad fighters, [Hamas] founder Ahmad Yassin, bore good tidings about the end of the Zionist occupation, which [he said] would begin in 2027. MEMRI – “On October 10, 2025, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) published a joint statement stressing that they intend to continue terror attacks against Israel after the ceasefire.

The statement, which came the day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached on the first stage of a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip, opened by emphasizing: ‘We emphasize our determination to continue with the resistance in all its forms until our rights are achieved – first and foremost the removal of the occupation, [Palestinian] self determination, and the establishment of an independent [Palestinian] state with full sovereignty with Jerusalem as its capital.’

Also in the announcement, the factions, including Hamas, rejected out of hand any ‘foreign guardianship’ of the Gaza Strip and emphasized that its administration was an ‘internal Palestinian matter’ to be decided by ‘national [Palestinian] elements’ – meaning that Hamas will be part of the administration of the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is thus expressing its rejection of vital parts of President Trump’s 20-point plan, of which the ceasefire is the first stage, and which also addresses what is to come next for the Gaza Strip.

We can all breathe a collective sigh of thankful relief with the return of all 20 living hostages from Hamas captivity. As much as I support President Trump and wish to share in his optimism, however, declaring that “the age of terror and death” has ended is, frankly, naive and delusional. The age of terror and death is far from over and what was signed today is not a miraculous “peace deal” but a myopic pipe dream. It pains me to sound like a killjoy, but we need to face a very sobering reality, not be divorced from it. According to the surrounding Muslim nations, there can be no “peace” until Israel is destroyed. As long as this Islamic hatred of Israel continues to ferment and terror continues to flourish across the surrounding nations and beyond, there will be no peace. Only the end of Islam and its wicked lawlessness can truly bring peace. And its end will only come when the Messiah — the Prince of Peace Himself — returns to destroy it …

The Times of Israel – “Israel joined the families in celebration on Monday as Hamas released the 20 remaining living hostages under the Gaza ceasefire deal brokered by US President Donald Trump, who came to Israel to mark the event.

Hamas is yet to release the remains of 28 dead hostages, despite being required to do so under the deal that would bring some closure to the national trauma that began when the terror group took 251 hostages back to Gaza after massacring some 1,200 people on October 7, 2023.

The first seven living hostages — Matan Angrest, Alon Ohel, Omri Miran, Eitan Mor, Guy Gilboa-Dallal and twin brothers Gali and Ziv Berman — were handed over to the Red Cross in Gaza City, in the Strip’s north, at about 8 a.m. and transferred to Israeli forces inside Gaza about an hour later.

The next 13 — Elkana Bohbot, Avinatan Or, Yosef-Haim Ohana, Evyatar David, Rom Braslavski, Segev Kalfon, Nimrod Cohen, Maxim Herkin, Eitan Horn, Matan Zangauker, Bar Kupershtein and brothers David and Ariel Cunio — were handed over to the Red Cross in Khan Younis, in the Strip’s south, shortly before 11 a.m. and transferred to Israeli forces inside Gaza about an hour later.

Rapturously Received In The Knesset, Trump Tells Israel It Won The War, Now It’s Time For Peace – “US President Donald Trump declared ‘the historic dawn of the new Middle East’ in a triumphant address before the Knesset on Monday, as the final 20 living hostages were released from Gaza under the US-brokered ceasefire deal. Trump said it marked ‘not only the end of war, but the end of an age of terror and death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God.’ He told the lawmakers that Israel had no more to achieve on the battlefield and must work toward peace in the Middle East, and said he would deliver a similar message to regional leaders in Egypt later in the day.” Read more.

If there are no last-minute snags, this should finally bring the remaining hostages home, though there’s the potential that some who are deceased may not be recovered for some time. That being said, let’s not be fools. This is only a PAUSE, not a PEACE. Genuine peace with the “Zionist enemy” is something that is anathema to the modus operandi and the mission of a Jew-hating, genocidal Islamist death cult like Hamas. Even if they put on the appearance of doing so, Hamas will never really disarm. They will never relinquish power. They will never renounce terrorism. They will never fully retreat into exile. It’s just not in the blood of those who are perpetually blood drunk by divine dictate.

Backed into a corner, giving up hostages was a relatively easy compromise to make. If Hamas refused then Israel’s onslaught would have been unrelenting and Hamas would have likely lost many of the hostages, either by being inadvertently killed during combat or by rescue. And fewer hostages means far fewer terrorists released from Israeli prisons in any exchange. It was really the only choice Hamas could make, one that was made easier now that their largest supporters in the Islamic world — Turkey and Qatar (both now suddenly on the receiving end with the promise of significant military upgrades and security guarantees from the US, respectively) — were now exerting significant pressure on Hamas to accept. Especially if, behind the scenes, Hamas had been made aware of other plans being plotted for a future surprise assault against the “Zionist” enemy.

The Jerusalem Post – “Negotiators in Egypt reached a deal to free the remaining hostages in Gaza and eventually end the Israel-Hamas War, US President Donald Trump announced early Thursday morning.

‘I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan,’ Trump wrote.

‘This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he will bring the cabinet for a vote on the deal Thursday.

N12, citing a senior American official, stated that the hostages will be released 72 hours after the cabinet approves the deal.

‘The whole world has come together on this one, Israel, every country has come together. This has been a fantastic day,’ Trump told Reuters in a brief telephone interview.

Even If Hamas Lays Down Its Arms, the Multifront War Against Israel Will Persist – “While we welcome any plan that prioritizes reconstruction over war, it is brutally clear that the war against the Jews will not end soon. Demonization of Israel, Jews, and core Jewish values — including Zionism — continues to spread across nations, international justice venues, university campuses, airports and ports, cultural institutions, and sports arenas. Call me a pessimist, but let’s be real. Every single “peace deal” between religiously-driven Jew-hating jihadist death cults — whether Hamas or the Palestinian Authority — and Israel have been abject failures. Israeli PM Netanyahu knows this plan will prove to be no different yet has endorsed it. Why? Because it allows Israel to exist and forces Hamas into a corner. But since the existence of Israel is antithetical to Islam and Hamas’ stated goal to destroy Israel, Hamas leadership is refusing to disarm. To disarm would be akin to surrendering to the “Zionist enemy” — like spitting in the face of “Allah” and the “divine” commandments of their “prophet” who instructs all followers to kill every last Jew on earth to usher in an Islamic “judgment day.” Even if Hamas is eventually pressured to “accept” this deal and agreed to disarm on paper, it would most certainly be yet another deceptive ruse.

The Jerusalem Post – “US President Donald Trump stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to his 21-point plan to create peace in Gaza following a meeting in the White House on Monday.

Trump said that the US would be involved in Israel’s security after the ceasefire agreement.

Trump said that if his deal were accepted by Hamas, all of the hostages, living and dead, would be released almost immediately.

He added that he intends to end the war itself, and that he was ‘hearing that Hamas wants to get this done.’

He also stated that during his meeting with Netanyahu, the Israeli PM clearly stated his opposition to a Palestinian state.

He also slammed other countries that had ‘foolishly’ recognized a Palestinian state.

Trump said that if Hamas rejects the deal that Israel has agreed to, he would give Israel the backing to destroy Hamas.

‘And if Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible, they’re the only one left. Everyone else has accepted it, but I have a feeling that we’re going to have a positive answer,’ he said. ‘But if not, as you know, Bibi, you have our full backing to do what you would.’

In addition, he said Israel and others were ‘beyond very close’ to reaching an agreement on ending the war in Gaza.

Trump, standing alongside Netanyahu, said the agreement would involve Arab countries and should help to achieve a broader peace in the Middle East.” Read more.

Hamas Expert: ‘All The Talk About Hamas Disappearing Is Disconnected From Reality’ – “Eyal Ofer, expert on Hamas’s economy, spoke about the implications of the war on the terrorist group’s standing … Hamas has garnered more than 10,000 fighters, with some reports saying 20,000. There are unconfirmed reports that many of them are being transferred, carrying weapons, to al-Mawasi, a designated humanitarian zone, and Deir al-Balah, a central Gazan area. Ofer urged Israeli officials not to think only in the short term. ‘Hamas has said it clearly,’ he stated. ‘It understands that formally, it will not remain in power in Gaza. In the short term, Hamas will agree to expert committees. Iran International – “Senior Iranian officials are using the recent Israeli attacks on Doha to justify calls for the formation of a unified military front among Muslim nations as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) gathers for an emergency summit in Qatar on Monday.

Mohsen Rezaei, a former chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and now a member of the Expediency Council, warned that Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Iraq could face future Israeli attacks if the OIC fails to act decisively.

‘The only solution is forming a military coalition,’ he said in remarks carried by Iranian media.
