The Times Of Israel – “Political figures are demanding intense retaliatory action against the Iranian attack on Tuesday evening.

Cultural and Sports Minister Miki Zohar said that ‘the foolish Iranian leader who made the worst decision in its history will pay a very heavy price. This is the beginning of the end of the cursed Iranian regime.’

Cabinet member Minister Bezalel Smotrich added, ‘Like Gaza, Hezbollah, and the state of Lebanon, Iran will regret this moment.’

MK Matan Kahana from United Right wrote: ‘Iran must really regret today’s attack. This is an opportunity to also deal with the Iranian nuclear project.’

Chairman of Yisrael Beyteinu, MK Avigdor Liberman, said that ‘The State of Israel must immediately attack Iran, bomb all the oil, gas, and nuclear facilities, and destroy the refineries and the dams. It’s either us or them.'” Read more.

Ballistic missiles could reach Israel in as little as 12 minutes, not hours like the cruise missiles and drones that Iran fired at Israel back in April. Interception will therefore be much more challenging and could, in significant enough numbers, overwhelm Israeli defenses. A crippled Hezbollah and a decimated Hamas is a severely wounded Iran. The IDF stated in a message to Israeli citizens, ‘You are instructed to remain alert and precisely follow the Home Front Command’s instructions.’

‘In the last few minutes, the Home Front Command has distributed life-saving instructions in various areas across the country. The public is asked to adhere to the Home Front Command’s guidelines. Upon hearing a siren, you must enter a protected space and remain there until further notice.

‘The IDF is doing and will do everything necessary to protect the civilians of the State of Israel.’

In addition, IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated in an announcement to the nation, ‘Dear citizens, A short time ago, missiles were launched from Iran towards the State of Israel.
