John 5:22-23, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”

    You are following the constant “Christian” trait of putting up Yeshua (you call Him by the Greek version of Saviour-Jesus) as God on His own, when He ALWAYS said He did nothing UNLESS THE FATHER TOLD HIM. So He was subservient to Father God, even though “All power in heaven and earth is given to Me by MY Father in Heaven”. Yeshua cannot be separated from the Father; they are ONE in Spirit, not One person. There is your problem with the muslims; they claim in the al aqsa mosque – God has no Son. Then there comes the question of the “Holy Spirit” which is NOT another person as claimed by Christian teaching based on pagan belief. When Yeshua quoted Isaiah: The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon Me, He acknowledged that the Ruach-Breath of God the Father was upon Him, NOT the breath of another person. There is no 3rd person; there is the Father and the Son.

    Hi Des, thank you for your reply. The Trinity of One God is consistent with the creation of the universe, a creation that itself exists as a “Trinity” of time, space and matter. Even these three are themselves comprised of past-present-future, length-width-depth, and solid-liquid-gas. The universe was created by God as a “Trinity of Trinities” if you will. Could this be the “fingerprints” of a Triune God? I say yes, it is.

    Also consider that when we observe the fire of a candle, for example. We observe three distinct things: light, heat, and a flame. Yet, the light is fire. The heat is fire. The flame is fire. There are not three fires, only one. According to Scripture, the Father is called God (Phil 2:1), and so is the Son (John 1:1,14; Col 2:9), and so is the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4) and each are eternal (James 1:17, Heb 13:8, Heb 9:14). Even though there is a clear distinction, there is only One Elohim that exists as a perfect “Tri-union” (cf. Deut. 6:4).

    Moreover, when Jesus told His disciples to make new disciples, His command was that they be baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19), not in the name of the Father, and the Son, and then the Father (again). If the Holy Spirit is the Father, then why the distinction? Scripture makes a clear differentiation between the Father and the Holy Spirit. In John 14:26, for instance, Jesus says that the Holy Spirit will be sent from the Father, and that the Holy Spirit will teach the disciples. Jesus was sent from the Father (1 John 4:14) and is distinct. Likewise, the Holy Spirit is sent from the Father (John 14:26) and is also distinct. Jesus did not say that the Father would come to teach the disciples, but rather the Holy Spirit. The fact that so many passages in Scripture refer to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as each having a distinct role in our salvation strongly suggests that the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Father just as Jesus is distinct from the Father. To believe otherwise would be a very tenuous position to take.

    Isaiah 6:3, “And they were calling to one another: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.'”

    Revelation 4:8, “Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.'”

    SAUL’S DRY-CLEANING
    Defenders of “FAITH ONLY SALVATION” face a quandary when trying to explain Saul’s (the apostle Paul’s) Damascus road conversion. How do you get Saul’s sins forgiven and keep him dry?

    QUANDARY: Acts 22:16 Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’

    The “faith only” advocates proposal is this; Saul was baptized so his sins could be forgiven, however, it was spiritual baptism.

    The dilemma is, how can spiritual baptism be commanded? You cannot order someone to be spiritually baptized anymore than you can command a person to become tall or intelligent.

    You can command repentance and immersion in water, as Peter did on the day of Pentecost(Acts 2:38). The results being, forgiveness of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit!

    You can command that men believe in Jesus. (John 3:16)
    You can command that men repent. (Act 2:38)
    You can command that men confess. (Romans 10:10-9, Acts 8:37)
    You can command that men be baptized in water.(Acts 2:38)

    YOU CANNOT COMMAND THAT MEN BE SPIRITUALLY BAPTIZED!

    To say water baptism is important, but not essential to salvation is like saying fuel for your automobile is important but not essential to operate your car.
