At around 2pm Mr Weston was standing on the steps of Winchester Guildhall, addressing the passers-by in the street with a megaphone. He quoted the following excerpt about Islam from the book The River War by Winston Churchill:

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.”

Reportedly a woman came out of the Guildhall and asked Mr Weston if he had the authorisation to make this speech. When he answered that he didn’t, she told him ‘It’s disgusting!’ and then called the police.

Six or seven officers arrived. They talked with the people standing nearby, asking questions about what had happened. The police had a long discussion with Mr Weston, lasting about 40 minutes.

At about 3pm he was arrested. They searched him, put him in a police van and took him away.” Source – Liberty GB.

Investor’s Business Daily – “An imam objects to a film set to be shown at the National September 11 Memorial Museum because it might make people believe radical Islam was involved in the terrorist attacks. We’re not making this up.

It has been said that the first casualty of war is truth. And in this age of political correctness, the war on terrorism — described by this administration as either over or merely a series of overseas contingency operations in response to man-caused disasters — is a classic example.

The lone imam on an interfaith advisory group to the National September 11 Memorial Museum, set to open May 21, has quit in protest of a seven-minute documentary narrated by NBC anchor and noted right-wing extremist Brian Williams because it might give low-information viewers the impression that the al-Qaida terrorists who attacked America and killed 3,000 people were, dare we say it, Muslims.

‘The screening of this film in its present state would greatly offend our local Muslim believers as well as any foreign Muslim visitor to the museum,’ Sheikh Mostafa Elazabawy, the imam of Masjid Manhattan, wrote in a letter to the museum’s director.

‘Unsophisticated visitors who do not understand the difference between al-Qaida and Muslims may come away with a prejudiced view of Islam, leading to antagonism and even confrontation toward Muslim believers near the site.’

We understand the difference and have often stated the truth that while, obviously, only a fringe few Muslims are actually terrorists [ICA Edit: The idea that it is a “fringe” minority is itself a myth], all the 9/11 terrorists were Muslims dedicated to Islamic jihad. But the words the imam would strike from the film, titled ‘The Rise of Al Qaeda,’ would be like producing a film on Pearl Harbor and World War II without mentioning Japan and events such as the Bataan Death March and the Rape of Nanking.

As blogger Pamela Geller puts it, it is not we who associate Muslims with 9/11, it is the 9/11 jihadists themselves who associate their religion with what they did. The last letters left by the 19 Muslim terrorists said the attack was in the cause of Islam and cited Allah 90 times.” Read more.

By Derby Telegraph, Derby Telegraph – “CHURCHGOERS were left terrified after believing a 52-year-old man who walked into their church ‘dressed like a terrorist’ on Remembrance Sunday ‘might be armed with a bomb’.

Mohamed Dar covered his face with a scarf and his head with a bandana that had the words ‘God is Great’ in Arabic [ICA Edit: “Allahu Akbar” actually means “Allah is Greater”] written on it when he entered the New Life Church, in Alfreton.

Within minutes he was shouting how the congregation should ‘turn to Allah’ and that Islam ‘sent boys aged 10 to war’.

North East and Dales Magistrates’ Court heard how minutes before he walked into the church he had disrupted a Remembrance Day parade at the cenotaph in Alfreton.

Giving evidence yesterday, he said he had gone to the event dressed in that way ‘to show his respect to all the Muslims who had been slaughtered like pigs in Iraq and Afghanistan’.

The trial was told that Dar stood directly in front of the cenotaph, in Hall Street, and while the commemoration parade went past he ‘slow-clapped’.

He then went in the nearby New Life Church which was conducting a Remembrance Day service.

In a statement read out by Michael Treharne, prosecuting, churchgoer Cheryl Taylor-Warriner said: ‘There were about 20 in the congregation and a man came in during the service. Within minutes he shouted ‘this is rubbish, you should be preaching Allah, turn to Islam, we send boys of 10 to war’.

‘He was dressed like a terrorist, I though he may have a gun or a bomb or some sort of weapon, I was so frightened.’

The statement of another churchgoer, Angela Gordon, was also read out by Mr Treharne.

She said: ‘I could not believe what he was saying in the church, especially because it was Remembrance Sunday. He was dressed like a terrorist or a suicide bomber.

‘The incident really upset me. I felt physically sick.'” Read more.

Sun Unleashes Major Solar Flare, Triggers Temporary Communications Blackout On Some Parts Of Earth

By Tariq Malik, Space.com – “The sun erupted with a massive solar flare late Thursday (April 24), triggering a temporary communications blackout on some parts of Earth.

The powerful flare peaked at 8:27 p.m. EDT Thursday (0027 April 25 GMT), and ranked as an X1.3-class solar storm, one of the strongest types of flares the sun can experience, according to a report from the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center. NASA’s sun-watching Solar Dynamics Observatory captured video of the intense solar flare in several difference wavelengths.

The solar flare erupted from an active sunspot region known as Region 2035 located on the far western side (or limb) of the sun as seen from Earth. Because of its position, the flare sparked a high-frequency radio blackout for about an hour on the daytime side of Earth, most likely over the Pacific Ocean and Eastern Pacific Rim, according to the SWPC update.

‘Region 2035 is rotating out of view and won’t pose any danger for much longer, but could in the immediate future,’ SWPC officials wrote in the update.

When aimed directly at Earth, X-class solar flares can endanger astronauts in space, as well as interfere with communications and navigation satellites in orbit. The most powerful X-class flares can also affect power grids and other infrastructure on the Earth.

Thursday’s solar flare was the fourth X-class solar flare of 2014. It followed an X1.2 solar flare on Jan. 7, a monster X4.9 solar flare on Feb. 24, as well as an X1 solar flare on March 29.” Read more.

From the threats to non-Malays to back off from using the word ‘Allah’ to the seizure of more than 300 bibles in Iban and Malay languages to the uncalled for Jan 2 raid of the Bible Society of Malaysia premises in Damansara Kim to condemning Valentine Day’s as the ‘root of all evil’, the Barisan Nasional government continues to display its pre-occupation with the persecution of the non-Malays.

The latest show of prejudice and discrimination against the non-Malays comes in the wake of the death of DAP’s former national chairman Karpal Singh on April 17. The MP for Bukit Gelugor died in an accident near Gua Tempurung on the North-South Expressway.

Karpal, who would have turned 74 on June 28, was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Penang to attend a court hearing in the morning. The country’s best criminal and constitution lawyer’s demise not only shocked the nation but the grief shown by the rakyat left the BN government red-faced.

Tears that flowed transcended racial boundaries. Devastated that the country had lost an outstanding fighter against injustice, Malaysians used the phrase ‘RIP’ (Rest in Peace) to express their condolences. But this touching farewell to a defender of the truth rankled the National Fatwa Council.

It promptly reminded Muslims that they are not encouraged to use the phrase to a non-Muslim because of its Christian connotations…

PUTRAJAYA: US President Barack Obama will be knocking on the doors of one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks – Masjid Negara – on Sunday.

The visit to the mosque, built in 1922 on the site of a church, is being greatly anticipated, with Muslim scholars here saying it would further emphasise the president’s commitment to reach out to the Muslim world.

Religious Adviser to Prime Minister Tan Sri Dr Abdullah Md Zin said it was “not common” for a leader of a superpower to include a visit to a mosque in their itinerary.

“There can be no better way for Obama to honour Islam than by visiting Masjid Negara. It will be interesting to know what he has to say about the mosque and Islam,” he added yesterday.

Johor Islamic Council adviser Datuk Nooh Gadut said that although Obama was not compelled to visit the mosque, his choice to do so meant a lot to Muslims in Malaysia and around the world.

“It shows that the president is sensitive and also that he wants to get closer to the Muslim world,” he added.

Nooh said photos of Masjid Negara were used as a referral to relate Islam and Malaysia.

“Some, especially the younger generation, have forgotten about it but President Obama obviously knows the significance of the mosque to Malaysia.

“I hope that mosque officials would take the opportunity to properly brief him on the role of the mosque within the context of a multi-racial and multi-religious country like Malaysia,” he stressed.

Obama’s visit to Masjid Negara will not be the first time he is doing so in his travels.

Shortly after his inauguration, Obama ­visited the famed Blue Mosque while on a visit to Turkey.

During a trip to Indonesia in 2010, the president also visited Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, which is one of the world’s largest mosques.

Masjid Negara’s unique modern design embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art calligraphy and ornamentation.

Near the mosque is the Makam Pahlawan (Heroes Mausoleum), a burial ground of ­several Malaysian politicians who include former Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein.

Oregon: ‘Carloads’ Of Terrorists Turned Local Ranch Into Jihadist Training Camp

By Rich Calder, New York Post – “An Oregon woman says she thought she was opening up her family’s ranch to local Muslims to teach them how to grow and can veggies — and that her husband was even expecting a tax write-off.

But US-born Muslim convert Eva Hatley testified in Manhattan federal court Tuesday that after the ‘carloads’ of fellow Muslims she met through her mosque arrived at the 160-acre ranch in Bly in 1999, the couple watched helplessly as their home was turned into an al Qaeda training camp.

‘It wasn’t anything like I envisioned for the property,’ insisted Hatley, testifying at the trial of one-eyed, hook-handed hate preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri.

Hatley, a two-time witness-protection-program flunky who prefers going by her Muslim name, Ayat Hakimah, said other Muslims from London would soon arrive on al-Masri’s orders.

Hatley’s then-husband, Ivan Rule, was temporarily out of town ‘shepherding’ while his longtime ranch was being overrun with terrorists-in-training, she said.

According to al-Masri’s lawyer last week, the camp was similar to being in the ‘Cub Scouts,’ with the men riding horses, tending to little lambs and telling campfire stories.

‘Suspect in custody after bomb scare at Kemah Walmart,’ by Craig Hlavaty, Houston Chronicle, April 19 (thanks to David):

A man with a knife and several suspicious devices was arrested Saturday in a Walmart parking lot, after a four-hour stand-off that kept customers and employees trapped inside the Kemah store.

Mehrzad Malekzadeh, 35, of Sugar Land has been arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and displaying a hoax bomb, which are both class A misdemeanor charges.

Malekzadeh is currently in Galveston County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

“Several unknown devices were located in the pockets of the male suspect and attached to his person,” Kemah police said in a press release.

Kemah police were dispatched to the area around 9 a.m. in response to a report of a suspicious masked male in a car wielding a knife, first seen in a nearby Target parking lot. He later moved to parking lot of Walmart in the 200 block of FM 518.

The store was locked down around 10 a.m., as the FBI bomb squad and Kemah police responded to the threatening man and searched the area.

The scene was cleared shortly after 2 p.m. with no hazards found by FBI bomb technicians, according to spokeswoman Shauna Dunlap.

John Lamar, who works in the store’s automotive department, said that Walmart officials have advised everyone to stay clear of windows while the store was on lock down.

“They’ve come around with baskets of snacks and water for those locked down in the store,” he said on the phone.

A crowd of about 50 nervous friends and family gathered outside the store.

“I was freaked out, this stuff doesn’t happen here,” said Brandon Blackwelder, whose sister works there.

Afghan Security Guard Shoots 3 American Doctors To Death At Christian Hospital

FOX News – “The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan confirmed Thursday that three American doctors — including a father and son — were killed by an Afghan security guard who opened fire at a Kabul hospital.

‘With great sadness we confirm that three Americans were killed in the attack at CURE Hospital,’ said a statement posted on the Embassy’s Twitter page. ‘No other information will be released at this time.’

The shooting was the latest in a string of deadly attacks on foreign civilians in the Afghan capital this year.

Two of the dead Americans were a father and son, Minister of Health Soraya Dalil said, adding that the third American was a Cure International doctor who had worked for seven years in Kabul.

One of the doctors has been identified as Dr. Jerry Umanos, who practiced pediatric medicine at Lawndale Christian Health Center in Chicago, officials from the center said.

Dalil said an American nurse also was wounded in the attack.

‘A child specialist doctor who was working in this hospital for the last seven years for the people of Afghanistan was killed, and also two others who were here to meet him, and they were also American nationals, were killed,’ Dalil said. ‘The two visitors were father and son, and a woman who was also in the visiting group was wounded.’

The alleged attacker was a member of the Afghan Public Protection Force assigned to guard the hospital, according to District Police Chief Hafiz Khan. He said the man’s motive was not yet clear…

According to its website, the Cure International Hospital was founded in 2005 by invitation of the Afghan Ministry of Health. It sees 37,000 patients a year, specializing in child and maternity health as well as general surgery. It is affiliated with the Christian charity Cure International, which operates in 29 countries with the motto ‘curing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God.'” Read more

04/22/2014 Egypt (GlobalDispatch) – A shocking new report details an Islamic mob of Muslim Brotherhood supporters in Egypt attacking and murdering a Christian woman for having a cross hanging on her car mirror. The report on Monday chronciles eyewitness account of the beating, stabbing, and shooting death of Mary Sameh George in Cairo on Martch 28.

“Every Friday the supporters of Muslim Brotherhood organize a march after Friday prayer in Ain Shams,” the witness told the International Christian Concern (ICC). Identified only as Wahid, he says that “On this Friday afternoon, violent clashes took place between the supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and the security forces during their march.”

Mary, in her mid-20s, was parked near the Virgin Mary and Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church to deliver medicine and food to the elderly after work that day. The protesters headed towards this church after the clash and attacked Mary when they saw her cross hanging from the rear view mirror of her car.

Wahid says the mob jumped on the car, collapsing the roof, and then dragged her from the vehicle, beating and stabbing her repeatedly. “They were chanting ‘Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar’ and cursing her while stabbing her,” Wahid said. “Then one of them shot her in the back and that led to her death. After killing her they set her car on fire.”
