Hadith, Sahih Muslim 1:33a, “The Messenger of Allah [Mohammed] said: ‘I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Mohammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish [Islamic] prayer …”

    Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, candidate for leader or “image” of the end time’s “Beast”?

    I think the image of the Beast is much larger than simply the leader of a terror entity. When I think about the “image” of the Beast I think about everything from “Allah” to the “prophet” to the Qur’an and Hadiths to Sharia Law and even the Ummah and the Caliphate itself. They are completely associated with Islam and the words that they speak have the power to dictate beliefs and actions upon those who submit to its authority (either willingly or by force). Just as the Ekklesia of Yahweh is conformed to the image (eikōn) of Christ (Romans 8:29, Christianity), the Ummah of Allah – which is a counterfeit of the Ekklesia of Yahweh – is conformed to the image (eikōn) of Mohammedism (Qur’an Sura 4:171, Islam).

    For what it’s worth, the word “Qur’an” means “The Recitation” — literally, to speak (see QuranSpeaks.com for instance). According to Islam the Qur’an is the “word of Allah” as given to Mohammed by the “angel Gabriel.” As Revelation 13:15 says, the “image of the Beast” speaks and anyone who does not worship the image of the Beast should be killed. According to the “word of Allah” anyone who refuses Islam (and therefore its “prophet”) should be killed (eg. Surah 4:89-91; 5:33; 9:11). We’ve already witnessed many “fatwas” often issued against someone for speaking out against Islam or Allah or his “prophet” or for simply refusing to convert to Islam. These are decreed because of what Islam teaches, because of what the Qur’an and Hadiths say. For Islam’s religious authorities, the “word of Allah” speaks …

    Though Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may have the authority within ISIS to have someone put to death for refusing Islam and its authority, he is not seeking worship of himself, but rather of all things to do with “Allah” and the “prophet” of Islam, which is in accordance to the “word of Allah” …

    Revelation 13:15 – Speak (Greek: “laleō” – to use words in order to declare one’s mind and disclose one’s thoughts). In this case, the mind and thoughts of “Allah” through his “messenger” …

    I’m thinking in terms of “the point of the spear”. It seems that there will be a leader (i.e., the “Syrian” or the NT’s “Antichrist”) that heads the end time assault on the saints and Israel–this dude seems to be gathering power exponentially… of course one well-placed drone strike could end that in a moment.

    I agree with your interpretation above, in fact, I still see this view of Revelation 13 as most likely–the Lion-Bear-Leopard Beast of the Sea being Islam and the Beast of the Earth being western powers that have enabled Islam, mainly through their dependence on oil.

    It certainly seems that way. Then again, Osama Bin Laden also appeared to fit the bill at one time. At this point (of the spear) it’s still a matter of waiting, and watching …

    Jerusalem, Vatican City, New York, Hollywood etc, Possibly one of these places is modern day symbolic Babylon in Revelation in The Bible. If we see it happen by “ten kings” under the authority of ” the beast”…then …serious Christians will see clearly I believe, just who the beast is and of course the 2nd beast {false prophet } will be recognized. Which possibly means Mohammed…or a counterfeit Jesus. ” Watch and pray “. God Bless.
