At the National Prayer breakfast Thursday, he said, ‘There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency, that can pervert and distort our faith.’ And that there will always be people willing to ‘hijack religion for their own murderous ends.’ So we shouldn’t ‘get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place — remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.’

Yes, people have done terrible deeds in the name of Christ, but they were against the teachings of Christ. Some of the Crusaders committed atrocities that couldn’t be more contrary to the teachings of Christ. They were the ones who ‘hijacked’ a religion, Christianity, by disobeying what Christ taught.

But contrary to the president’s assertions, this is not the case with Islam. Islam is not being ‘hijacked’ — it is being obeyed. The terrorists are following the teachings of the Qur’an and the example of Muhammad.

Since the President said that, ‘no god condones terror,’ I can only assume that he hasn’t gone to the original source documents — the Qur’an. The Qur’an commands Muslims to ‘strike the heads’ off the infidels (Sura 8:12); to ‘strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah’ (Sura 8:60); and to ‘slay the idolators wherever you find them’ and to ‘prepare them for every ambush’ (Sura 9:5).

Sura 9:29 tells Muslims to ‘Fight those who do not believe in Allah… until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.’ (After all, the word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission.’ If you don’t submit and become a Muslim, you will die or pay a tax.) The next verse says, ‘May Allah destroy [the Christians and the Jews].’

What if the ‘infidels’ resist? Sura 5:33 prescribes the punishment: ‘The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.’ These cheery tactics from ‘the religion of peace’ find a home with ISIS and with a significant minority of Muslims today.

Not only does the Qur’an command this kind of treatment, Muhammad conducted it. According to The Life of Muhammad (LOM), a biography that’s considered an authority on Muhammad’s life, Muhammad personally beheaded approximately 700 Jewish male captives and sold the women and children into slavery (LOM p. 464, and referred to in Sura 33:26). Muhammad also had killed: three slave girls who had made fun of him; a mother of five as she nursed a child; and numerous other non-threatening civilians. He ordered his followers to ‘Kill any Jew that falls into your power’ (LOM, 369).

At a Senate hearing Thursday, an Obama official with the Pentagon tried to assert that detaining terrorists at Gitmo helps the terrorists recruit more terrorists. Therefore, we should release them. Aside from the asinine logic of freeing known terrorists so we don’t possibly attract potential terrorists, such reasoning ignores the fact that terrorist attacks are not caused by American behavior. Violent Jihad didn’t start with 9-11 — it’s been going on against non-Muslims, between sects of Muslims, and against the Christian West for 1400 years!

Islam has always been a religion of the sword. From the very beginning, Muslims heeded Muhammad’s example and the Qur’an’s commands to use violence to convert, submit or kill non-Muslims.” Read more.

Bangladesh: Hundreds Of Muslims Attack Christian Village, Set Fire To All 60 Homes

Sebastian Tudu, bishop of the diocese of Dinajpur, after a series of clashes between Catholics and Muslims in the village of Chirakhota over issues related to land. Tensions peaked on 24 January, when more than 300 Muslims attacked the Catholic community, made up of tribal Santal.

The disputed plots are owned by the Catholic community, which has held regular permits since 1971. At the time, the height of the war of liberation from Pakistan, a Hindu woman sold them the land. Recently, a Muslim attempted to expropriate the plot, but the court ruled in favor of the Santal.

On January 24, over 300 members of the Islamic community descended upon the village. The Catholics defended themselves with bows and arrows, their traditional weapons, and a Muslim was killed. The sparked the Muslims anger and a mob looted rice, food, clothes, money, more than 100 cows, and set fire to all the 60 houses of the settlement.

Police arrested 19 Catholics for the death of a Muslim. Both sides have reported many wounded.

Dipali Tudu, a 22 year-old Catholic, was in the village at the time of the attack. Now he has left the area for security reasons: ‘The Muslims attacked us and tried to molest some of us. So I fled to another town. We are disappointed, we want to live in peace.’

Last year, the Catholic church in Boldipukur – also in Dinajpur diocese – was targeted in a similar story, over land issues. The assailants stole various objects and documents of land ownership. Three sisters were beaten and suffered an attempted rape.” Source – AsiaNews.

Germany: Muslims Distribute Free Qur’ans To Fight Growing Anti-Islamic Sentiments

In an effort to show the German people that Islam is tolerant and peaceful, local Muslims have taken it upon themselves to distribute the very book that continues to inspire terrorists today to maraud, maim and murder for the cause of “Allah.” Unfortunately, the only non-abrogated verses of “tolerance” and “peace” in the Qur’an all involve Mohammed’s call for Muslims to tolerate endless wars in order to silence non-Muslims …

By Tom Whitehead, The Telegraph – “Police are now arresting a suspected terrorist every day with ministers poised to boost funding amid fears of attacks from Isil ‘misfits and criminals’.

Metropolitan assistant commissioner Mark Rowley revealed fanatics were being detained on a daily basis following a sharp rise in arrests because of the growing threat from Islamist jihadists.

Mr Rowley, the country’s most senior counter-terrorism officer, said he had been lobbying Government for additional funding to tackle the threat and there were ‘indications’ that would happen.

He said the greatest danger to the UK were ‘misfits, criminals and vulnerable’ who were being targeted by Isil to carry out atrocities on home soil.

Police are also taking down 1,000 web pages of extremist material every week.

More than 600 British jihadists are believed to have gone to Syria or Iraq and half of them have already returned.

Police were not previously aware of 300 of them, Mr Rowley warned.

‘We are not just dealing with a classic terrorist organisation, organising plots across the world,’ he told the BBC Andrew Marr show.

‘We are dealing with a group trying to create a corrupt cult of people, of followers who will act in their name.

‘They are trying to attract misfits, criminals and the vulnerable. It is these people, not part of the larger organisation who might act of their own volition.

‘That is the challenge on us to have good sight of them and intervene with them.’

The risk posed by the self-starting extremist or terrorist is the gravest concern of the police and security services.” Read more.

The Sword Of Islam: Muslim Persecution Of Christians Continues Its 1,400 Year-Old Tradition

By Raymond Ibrahim, The Commentator – “The one glaring fact concerning the persecution of approximately 100 million Christians around the world today is that the overwhelming majority of it is being committed by Muslims of all races, nationalities, languages, and socio-political circumstances.

Muslims from among America’s allies (Saudi Arabia) and from its enemies (Iran); Muslims from economically rich nations (Qatar) and from poor nations (Somalia and Yemen); Muslims from ‘Islamic republic’ nations (Afghanistan) and from ‘moderate’ nations (Malaysia and Indonesia); Muslims from nations rescued by America (Kuwait) and Muslims from nations claiming ‘grievances’ against the U.S. (fill in the blank __).

This fact is underscored in Open Doors’ recent 2015 World Watch List — a report that highlights and ranks the 50 worst nations persecuting Christians.

It finds that ‘Islamic extremism’ is the main source of persecution in 40 of the top 50 countries — that is, 80 percent of the nations where Christians are persecuted are Muslim.

As for the top ten worst countries persecuting Christians, nine of them are Muslim-majority — that is, 90 percent of nations where Christians experience ‘extreme persecution’ are Muslim.

Still, considering that the 2015 World Watch List ranks North Korea — non-Islamic, communist — as the number one worst persecutor of Christians, why belabor the religious identity of Muslims?

Surely Christian persecution is not intrinsic to the Islamic world, but is a product of repressive regimes and other socio-economic factors — as the North Korean example suggests and as many analysts and media maintain?

Here we come to some critically important but blurred distinctions.

While Christians are indeed suffering extreme persecution in North Korea, these fall into the realm of the temporal and aberrant.  Something as simple as overthrowing the North Korean regime would likely end persecution there overnight — just as the fall of Communist Soviet Union saw religious persecution come to a quick close.

In the Islamic world, however, a similar scenario would not alleviate the sufferings of Christians one iota. Quite the opposite; where dictators fall (often thanks to U.S. intervention) — Saddam in Iraq, Qaddafi in Libya, and ongoing attempts against Assad in Syria — Christian persecution dramatically rises.

Today Iraq is the third worst nation in the world in which to be Christian, Syria fourth, and Libya 13th.

The reason for this dichotomy is that Christian persecution by non-Muslims (mostly communists) is often rooted in a particular regime.  Conversely, Muslim persecution of Christians is perennial, existential, and far transcends this or that regime or ruler. It is part and parcel of the history, doctrines, and socio-political makeup of Islam — hence its tenacity; hence its ubiquity.

Moreover, atheistic communism is a relatively new phenomenon — about a century old — and, over the years, its rule (if not variants of its ideology) has greatly waned, so that only a handful of nations today are communist.

On the other hand, Muslim persecution of Christians is as old as Islam. It is a well-documented, even if suppressed, history.

To further understand the differences between temporal and existential persecution, consider Russia. Under communism, its own Christians were grossly persecuted; yet today, after the fall of the USSR, Russia is again reclaiming its Orthodox Christian heritage (and is prominent among Western nations for showing support for persecuted Christians).

North Korea — where Kim Jong-Un is worshipped as a god and the people are shielded from reality — seems to be experiencing what Russia did under the Soviet Union. But if the once mighty USSR could not persevere, surely it’s a matter of time before tiny North Korea’s walls also come crumbling down, with the resulting religious freedom that former communist nations have experienced.

(Tellingly, the only countries that were part of the USSR that still persecute Christians are Muslim, such as Uzbekistan, ranked #15, ‘severe persecution,’ and Turkmenistan, ranked #20, also ‘severe persecution.’)

Time, however, is not on the side of Christians living amid Muslims; quite the opposite.” Read more.
