Express – “Eleven people have been killed and at least 60 injured at Magdeburg Christmas market in Germany after a car ploughed into pedestrians, according to local media.

The German newspaper Magdeburger Volksstimme reports that at least 11 people are dead and likely 60 to 80 people have been injured in the attack. It also reports that police have arrested the driver and are said to be ‘looking for explosives’.

Sickening CCTV footage shared on social media shows a car speeding into pedestrians at the market.

Eyewitnesses also likened the attack and its aftermath to a warzone, with children heard crying for their parents in footage shared online.

Regional government spokesman Matthias Schuppe and city spokesperson Michael Reif said they suspected it was an attack.

Mr Reif said there were ‘numerous injured’ but did not give a precise figure.

‘The pictures are terrible,’ he said. ‘My information is that a car drove into the Christmas market visitors, but I can’t yet say from what direction and how far.’

Magdeburg, which is west of Berlin, is the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt and has about 240,000 inhabitants.” Read more.

Arpan Rai, The Independent – “At least one in three people in Afghanistan will face severe food insecurity this winter as the war-battered nation faces crisis or emergency levels of hunger, aid agencies have warned.

Children in particular will suffer dire survival conditions over the next three months, according to a forecast by the World Food Programme (WFP) and Save the Children.

‘Winter is when hunger bites hardest in Afghanistan and WFP expects nearly 15 million people or nearly a third of the population of Afghanistan to be in need of food assistance for survival,’ Philippe Kropf, the agency’s spokesperson, told The Independent over the phone from Afghanistan. ‘Next year, an additional 570,000 children are expected to become malnourished as compared to this year. We expect a total of 3.45 million children to be malnourished in 2025.’

According to another assessment by Save the Children, more than half of Afghanistan’s population, about 24 million people, will be in dire need of humanitarian assistance, like cash and food supplies, to avoid slipping into poverty and food insecurity in the coming months…

Afghan children are reeling from the devastation caused by drought, floods, displacement, and high food prices. Nearly 6.5 million children, or 30 per cent, are facing crisis or emergency levels of hunger, Mr Malik said.” Read more.

The leaders of the free world would be wise to not be fooled by this man’s flatteries and the sanitized, infidel-approved words he uses when speaking to a Western audience. What matters are the words he’s using when speaking to his own. Unfortunately, much of the free world is led by too many fools …

Syrian Islamists Who Overthrew Assad: “We Are Coming For Jerusalem”

Well, that didn’t take long. In mere hours after taking Damascus, “moderate” Islamist fighters from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) are already showing their true ISIS and Al Qaeda colors by declaring support for Hamas in Gaza and vowing to soon take Jerusalem.

According to some foreign policy experts, Turkey’s Erdogan gains to benefit and is about to get his ‘Leader of the Muslim World’ moment. But with Hezbollah a shell of what it was and Hamas relegated to little more than a band of demoralized guerilla fighters, Shia Iran has become the biggest loser in the region next to Bashar al-Assad in the aftermath of recent events. Their “Axis of Resistance” is in tatters, and they know it. So when it looks like Plan A is no longer a viable option, we can be certain that Shia Iran is already hard at work on a Plan B. Damascus Is Fallen, Is Fallen: Syrian President Assad Flees Country As Terrorists Overrun Capital After Lightning Blitz

According to the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, a time is coming when the city of Damascus will face Divine judgment from the God of Israel. That judgment has not yet seen its fulfillment, but with Damascus now under the control of an Islamist army that is largely comprised of remnants from ISIS, Al Qaeda et al who have vowed to wipe out Jews and Christians, the reason for its impending destruction is coming into focus.

Damascus is not far from Israel. Trying to get as close as it can to its prey, a leopard can conceal itself and its intent before striking, but a leopard can never change its spots. The terrorists who have taken Damascus may rebrand their name and use Western buzz words like “freedom” and “peace” and “justice” in order to dissuade any attacks from the West, but an Islamist beast under a different name is still an Islamist beast. What the fall of Damascus entails for Israel and any remaining Christian communities in Syria for the immediate future, well, that remains to be seen. If history is any indication, however, it will not be long before these comouflaged animals begin to show their true colors …

Israel National News – “The rebel forces in Syria announced on Sunday morning morning that ‘the free Syrian people have toppled the regime of Bashar Al-Assad.’

Earlier, the rebels had reached ‘beyond enemy lines’ in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and had begun searching for President Bashar Al-Assad.

The rebels stated that they had freed prisoners from the Saydnaya military prison on the outskirts of the Syrian. Two sources from the rebel forces told Reuters that there appeared to be no Syrian army deployment in the city. Al Jazeera reported that officers and security officials withdrew from the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Damascus.

Meanwhile, two senior Syrian officers told Reuters that President Bashar al-Assad had left Damascus for an unknown destination. According to reports in Syria, Assad’s plane took off from the country shortly after the rebels took over the capital, but the plane later disappeared from radar and at this point it is unclear what happened to it.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition organization based in London, told the AFP news agency that the Syrian army and security forces had withdrawn from Damascus International Airport following the rebels’ advance toward the capital.

Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Razi Al-Jalali made a special statement following the toppling of the Assad regime in which he said that his government is ready to cooperate with any leadership chosen by the Syrian people.” Read more.

Israel Warns: If “Ceasefire” With Hezbollah Collapses, Israel Will No Longer Distinguish Between The State Of Lebanon And Hezbollah

For nearly two decades, Hezbollah has successfully managed to embed itself deeply within Lebanese politics, institutions and society. Hezbollah now even “has de facto control over the military intelligence through Shia officers serving there“ and has “infiltrated the state security apparatus in the name of cooperation and fairness.” It has become to Lebanon what the IRGC has become to Iran, and the days where Lebanon could hide behind an imaginary line separating the state from the snake may soon be coming to an end …

The Times of Israel – “Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Tuesday that if the recently implemented ceasefire with Hezbollah collapses, the state of Lebanon will no longer be exempt from blame for attacks, and Israel’s military responses will not distinguish between the terror group and the country where it is based.

Katz’s remarks came a day after the ceasefire, reached last week after 14 months of conflict initiated by Hezbollah, was rattled by a Hezbollah mortar attack on Israeli territory and retaliatory IDF strikes on southern Lebanon…

‘We will work with all our might to enforce all the understandings of the ceasefire agreement, and we show maximum response and zero tolerance,’ Katz said during a visit to the northern border areas whose 60,000 residents were evacuated last October when Hezbollah began cross-border fire in support of Hamas amid the Palestinian terror group’s war with Israel.

‘Yesterday was the first test, [Hezbollah] shooting at Mount Dov. We reacted strongly and this is exactly what we will do, and we will not allow Hezbollah to return to the old methods they had, such as the tent that was set up and not attacked,’ he said, referring to a Hezbollah structure that was placed along the so-called Blue Line that demarcates between the Israel and Lebanon.

Katz said that Lebanon must ‘authorize the Lebanese army to enforce their part, to keep Hezbollah away beyond the Litani [River] and to dismantle all the infrastructure.’

‘If they don’t do it and this whole agreement collapses, then the reality will be very clear. First of all, if we return to war we will act strongly, we will go deeper, and the most important thing they need to know is that there will be no longer be immunity for the state of Lebanon,’ he continued.” Read more.
