Turkish President Erdogan: “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers …”

LiveNOW FOX’s Andy Mac: “We’re entering year three [of the war in Gaza] … What else do you want us to know in this upcoming year?”

Jon Schanzer, Executive Director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD): “I’m watching a couple of fronts right now. I’m watching Yemen… We need to watch Iran… but I will tell you there’s one other front that I’m watching that really worries me right now. The Turks have gone off the rails… The rhetoric that we’re seeing out of Turkey right now, they are an aspiring regional power. They’re calling for war against Israel. They’re trying to, I think, rally the Arab world behind them. Recep Tayipp Erdogan is an autocrat. He’s an Islamist. He’s pro-Hamas. He was pro-ISIS. I don’t like where this NATO ‘ally’ is going so I think the US has some new files to watch right now as we see the Middle East begin to change and undergo some pretty significant transformations …”
