The Jerusalem Post – “A 16-year-old boy was beheaded by the notorious fundamentalist organization Islamic State for not attending mandatory Friday prayer services in the border town of Jarabulus, Syria, the Kurdish News Agency reported Sunday.

The boy was arrested last Saturday by the organization’s secret police services after he was discovered hiding out at a relative’s house near the Turkish-Syrian border.

‘The boy who was arrested was charged with heresy, the most serious charge in the ISIS legal system,’ Nasar Taljabini, a resident of Jarabulus, told the Kurdish news outlet.

Taljabini added that the boy ‘was given a short trial that lasted only a few minutes, and was then led away to the town square where he was beheaded in front of a large audience who had gathered to watch the execution.’

ISIS captured the city back in 2014 when it conquered large parts of northern Syria including areas that straddle the Turkish border and the Euphrates River.

‘Before his execution, a representative of the Sharia court for ISIS came over a loudspeaker and read out the verdict. He then vowed that if anyone else missed any prayer services, they too would suffer the same fate,’ Taljabini noted.” Read more.

Suspect Gyulchekhra Bobokulova from Muslim-majority Uzbekistan — whom the press have dubbed ‘the bloody nanny’ — was detained on Monday as she was waving the child’s severed head outside a metro station in northwestern Moscow. She was sent for psychiatric examinations.

‘It was what Allah ordered,’ the 38-year-old told journalists as she was brought into the district court to have her arrest confirmed and extended.

With shoulder-length black hair parted in the centre, she wore a royal blue pinafore over a black tracksuit top.

At times, she smiled, other times she grimaced, flashing a few golden teeth.

Speaking in broken Russian from the suspect’s cage, Bobokulova said: ‘Allah is sending a second prophet to give news of peace’ and also complained that she was ‘hungry’, had not been fed and would ‘die in a week’…

State news agency RIA Novosti, citing a law enforcement source, said Bobokulova had recently been brainwashed by her Tajik lover, who was apparently a radical Muslim himself…

In a lecture at Al-Rawdah Mosque in Montreal (published on September 2, 2015), Imam Houssein Amer mocked the Western idea of ‘marital rape’ and explained the differences between the West and Islam in this regard.

‘According to the Western view, the woman who is a spouse – her husband is not allowed to force her to have sex with him. It is forbidden. Why? Because, this is her freedom [of choice]. They [the West] were the first to establish the term of ‘marital rape’. Is it possible that a husband rapes his wife? Yes. He forces her to have sex with him. It is forbidden. Mistake. She may complain. Glory be to Allah.’ […]

In previous sermon (published on December 31, 2010) Imam Houssein Amer justified the wisdom of wife beating in Islam (‘not severely’) as a last resort and as an act of education in case the husband fails to convince his wife to return to the right path of Islam.

‘The Prophet [Muhammad], peace be upon him, says: if they [wives] do so, then, [the husbands should] beat them but not severely [Muslim 1218]. Some people argue, when they hear this text, that the Islamic Law permitted wife beating, and other people say, when hearing it, that Islam oppresses the wife by allowing the husband to beat her.’

The woman shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ as she appeared near Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station in the northwest of the Russian capital and threatened to blow herself up.

It came hours after officers found the headless body of a four-year-old child when they were called to a fire at a block of flats in the city.

The victim was a girl identified as Nastya M – and the child’s 38-year-old nanny Gyulchehra Bobokulova, from Uzbekistan, has been arrested.

The woman was seen pulling the severed head out of a bag and walking around near the entrance to the metro station as police moved in.

She is then said to have shouted that she had killed the child and was seen praying shortly before officers swooped.

According to local reports, she later told police she killed the girl because of her own husband’s infidelity. Investigators immediately ordered a psychiatric test of the woman in a bid to understand her motives…

In further footage from the scene, the woman can be heard shouting about the end of the world while proclaiming herself a terrorist.” Read more.

The Libyan branch of ISIS staged a gruesome attack Wednesday on government-security headquarters in the western city of Sabratha. According to the AP, the group beheaded 12 officers before taking control of the complex.

“A second security official said that the militants used the headless bodies of the officers they killed to block the roads leading to the security headquarters—which they occupied for about three hours,” the report added.

The attack came less than a week after American airstrikes hit an ISIS training camp in the city, killing about 40 people, including two Serbian hostages. The renascent U.S. efforts in Libya speak to a growing concern shared by a number of countries about ISIS’s increasing ability to flourish in the North African country.

American intelligence officials estimate that the group’s ranks in Libya have grown to 6,500 fighters, more than doubling since the fall. ISIS first declared its intentions to establish a presence in Libya in 2014 and has been launching attacks ever since. The group is now thought to control 150 miles of Libyan coastline.

Part of this surge is being attributed to the civil discord in Libya among the country’s competing political factions and militias, which have produce rival governments with their own security forces. The chaos has had major economic repercussions as well. Last month, the head of the country’s national oil company estimated that Libya has lost $68 billion in oil sales since 2013.

With Islamic State fighters suffering under heavy fire in Iraq and Syria, the group’s strategy of exploiting the security vacuum in Libya also appears to be a conscious one….
