Exposing The Qur’an: Islamic Jihad And The Doctrine Of Abrogation

03/06/2014 Leave a comment

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, “The coming of the [lawless one] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

So much for the Qur’an being a “timeless” and “eternal” miracle from “Allah.” If this miraculous “fire from heaven” were truly divine in origin then there would have been no need for later verses to cancel out earlier verses. They would all have been true from the very beginning. Bear witness yet again to even further evidence that Islam is nothing more than a false religion …

Qur’an Sura 2:256a, “Let there be no compulsion in religion …”

Qur’an: Sura 4:89, “Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.”

54710-evil2bquranBy Raymond Ibrahim, FrontPage Mag – “While other scriptures contain contradictions, the Koran is the only holy book whose commentators have evolved a doctrine to account for the very visible shifts which occur from one injunction to another. No careful reader will remain unaware of the many contradictory verses in the Koran, most specifically the way in which peaceful and tolerant verses lie almost side by side with violent and intolerant ones. The ulema were initially baffled as to which verses to codify into the Shari’a worldview — the one that states there is no coercion in religion (2:256), or the ones that command believers to fight all non-Muslims till they either convert, or at least submit, to Islam (8:39, 9:5, 9:29). To get out of this quandary, the commentators developed the doctrine of abrogation, which essentially maintains that verses revealed later in Muhammad’s career take precedence over earlier ones whenever there is a discrepancy. In order to document which verses abrogated which, a religious science devoted to the chronology of the Koran’s verses evolved (known as an-Nasikh wa’l Mansukh, the abrogater and the abrogated).

But why the contradiction in the first place? The standard view is that in the early years of Islam, since Muhammad and his community were far outnumbered by their infidel competitors while living next to them in Mecca, a message of peace and coexistence was in order. However, after the Muslims migrated to Medina in 622 and grew in military strength, verses inciting them to go on the offensive were slowly ‘revealed’ — in principle, sent down from God — always commensurate with Islam’s growing capabilities. In juridical texts, these are categorized in stages: passivity vis-á-vis aggression; permission to fight back against aggressors; commands to fight aggressors; commands to fight all non-Muslims, whether the latter begin aggressions or not.[1] Growing Muslim might is the only variable that explains this progressive change in policy.

Other scholars put a gloss on this by arguing that over a twenty-two year period, the Koran was revealed piecemeal, from passive and spiritual verses to legal prescriptions and injunctions to spread the faith through jihad and conquest, simply to acclimate early Muslim converts to the duties of Islam, lest they be discouraged at the outset by the dramatic obligations that would appear in later verses.[2] Verses revealed towards the end of Muhammad’s career — such as, ‘Warfare is prescribed for you though you hate it'[3] — would have been out of place when warfare was actually out of the question.

However interpreted, the standard view on Koranic abrogation concerning war and peace verses is that when Muslims are weak and in a minority position, they should preach and behave according to the ethos of the Meccan verses (peace and tolerance); when strong, however, they should go on the offensive on the basis of what is commanded in the Medinan verses (war and conquest). The vicissitudes of Islamic history are a testimony to this dichotomy, best captured by the popular Muslim notion, based on a hadith, that, if possible, jihad should be Read more…

Exposing Islam: Muhammad Had No Assurance of Salvation (Nor Does Any Muslim Believer)

Qur’an Sura 46:8-9, “Or do they say, ‘He has forged it’? Say: ‘If I have forged it, you have no power to help me against Allah. He knows very well what you are pressing upon; He suffices as a witness between me and you; He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate.’ Say: ‘I am not an innovation among the Messengers, and I know not what shall be done with me or with you. I only follow what is revealed to me; I am only a clear warner.'”

“By Allah, though I am the Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me.” – The “Prophet” Mohammed, Hadith, Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 266.

Unless you’re killed while killing others through violent Jihad in the cause of “Allah” and the prophet of death, of course. More signs that Islam is nothing but a false religion. As I ask at the end of “A Few Simple Questions For Muslim Visitors“, in light of the fact that even Mohammed himself did not know for certain what would happen to him in the afterlife, why should I — or any other Christian who knows beyond a doubt that they are guaranteed eternal life through faith in the Jesus of the Bible — give up the Christian faith of Jesus for the Islamic faith of Mohammed which we know will guarantee us nothing? …

By David Wood, Answering Muslims – “Muslims regularly pray for Allah to bless Muhammad with peace. But why would Muhammad be affected by the prayers of Muslims? The reason is that, according to Islam, even Muhammad didn’t know what Allah would do to him after he died (Quran 46:9). But if Muhammad himself had no assurance of salvation, what hope is there for his followers?” Source – Answering Muslims.

A Muslim Admits That Allah Prays

02/25/2014 1 comment

Sometimes Muslims don’t really take the time to analyze the logical (and theological) implications of their own “holy” texts …

By David Wood, Answering Muslims – “One of the most common Muslim objections to the deity of Christ is the question ‘If Jesus is God, why did he pray?’ This question makes sense on a surface level, since Christians claim that Jesus is God and we also claim that he prays. But this is one of the many reasons we are Trinitarians, not unitarians. As one of the three persons of the Trinity, the Son was in eternal communion with the Father, because they shared the same essence. When the Son entered creation as Jesus of Nazareth, he continued that communion with the Father through prayer. Hence, while Jesus praying would be a problem for a unitarian who claims that Jesus is God, it makes perfect sense in light of Trinitarian theology.

But Muslims are unitarians, which means that they would have a huge problem if their god prays. And we find this problem in the Qur’an:

Qur’an 33:56—Verily, Allah and His angels pray for the prophet. O ye who believe! pray for him and salute him with a salutation!

Muslim translators are so horrified by the implications of this verse that they often mistranslate the relevant portion as ‘Allah and his angels send blessings on the prophet.’ The problem is that there are perfectly good Arabic words for ‘send blessings,’ but those words aren’t used here. The Arabic word used of whatever Allah and his angels are doing is yusalloona, which is a verbal form of the word salah (prayer and worship). Thus, the most obvious translation involves Allah praying for Muhammad.

While this is clear to anyone who reads the verse and understands what yusalloona means, it’s always nice to see an Arabic-speaking Muslim admit that Allah prays. This is precisely what happened today on Facebook.

A Muslim named Faruque Ikramul started a post mocking Christians for believing that Jesus is God when the Bible declares that Jesus prayed. Instead of answering the objection, I decided to turn the tables …” Read more.

A Few Simple Questions for Muslim Visitors – “Because of Mohammed’s misunderstanding of what Christians believed and practiced, Islam teaches that the Christian belief of the Trinity is a polytheistic teaching of  ‘three gods’, characterized as the ‘Father’, and the ‘Son’ and the ‘Virgin Mary’.  Not only does the ‘Virgin Mary’ have nothing to do with the Trinity (it is the Holy Spirit, not Mary), we believe in One God only and One God that is Triune.  Not three gods.  To use an analogy to illustrate this, consider fire.  When we observe the fire of a candle, for example, we observe three distinct things: light, heat, and a flame. Yet, the light is fire. The heat is fire. The flame is fire. Although these three are fire, are there three fires, or only one?  Likewise, the Father is called God in Scripture (Phil 2:1), and so is the Son (John 1:1,14; Col 2:9), and so is the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).  Even though there is a clear distinction, there is only One God.  As Deuteronomy 6:4 declares, ‘Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.’ Literally translated, ‘Hear, O Israel: Yahweh and our Elohim are a united one.’  The Old Testament demonstrates a plurality in the Godhead that is a united One, and this distinction is reaffirmed in the New Testament: ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him’ (John 14:23).” Read more.

Israeli Minister Calls For The Construction Of The ‘Third Temple’ In Al-Aqsa Compound

01/30/2014 13 comments

But is this fulfillment of Bible prophecy? Many Christians today believe that a physical 3rd temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem according to 2 Thessalonians 2:4. In light of the unfolding panoply of the New Testament texts, however, the “third temple” is already built, not as one built by human hands, but rather as one built by Christ Himself. Every time the Apostle Paul wrote about the temple of God (or an equivalent expression) and used the Greek word “naos” he always referred to Christian believers both individually and collectively — the Church. We see this in 1 Corinthians 3:16, 3:17, 6:16, 6:19, Ephesians 2:19-22 — a teaching that is even affirmed by Peter himself in 1 Peter 2:4-5. But those who advocate the idea of a physical 3rd temple suddenly (and perhaps unknowingly) change the consistent and explicit meaning of the “naos” of God in Paul’s previous epistles. In his letter to the Thessalonians, 3rd temple proponents now claim that Paul was suddenly referring to a physical temple instead. Doing so, however, has no textual justification and interprets 2 Thessalonians 2:4 in light of a preconceived doctrine, not in light of Scripture, and forces Scripture to conform to our understanding when what we need to be doing is forcing our understanding to conform to Scripture. For more in-depth reading on this subject, see the links below. We could be much closer to the return of Christ than many had expected …

Acts 17:24, “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.”

World Bulletin – “The Israel Minister of Housing and Construction Uri Ariel on Friday expressed his wish to see the construction of a ‘Third Temple’ in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Al-Quds (East Jerusalem).

According to the Alray Palestinian News Agency, Uri Ariel said ‘The first Temple was destroyed in 586 BCE, the second Temple in 70 CE, and ever since the Jews have been mourning its loss.’

He then went on to say ‘Al-Aqsa Mosque is currently in place of the temple, despite the temple being much holier than it. Al-Aqsa Mosque is only the third most holy mosque in Islam.’

‘Now that Israel has once again become a Jewish sovereign state, there have been occasional calls to rebuild the Temple,’ he added.

Palestinians who have stated their desire to see Israeli occupying forces retreat out of East Jerusalem back to their 1967 borders are suspicious of so called archeological excavations taking place under the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. They believe the works are destabilizing the foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and have already reported damage to the building.

In recent months, the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound has been subject to numerous raids by far-right Jewish settlers under the protection of Israeli security forces, who have performed Jewish rituals on the site. On a number of occasions last year, the Israeli authorities banned Muslim congregational Friday prayers at the mosque.” Source – World Bulletin.

Daniel 12:8-10,Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, ‘My lord, what shall be the end of these things?’ And he said, ‘Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.’”

2 Thessalonians 2:4 — A Rebuilt Jewish Temple, or Something Else? – “Even though Daniel was not always granted full understanding, he was faithful in recording the prophecies he was given. Not knowing that the temple of God would one day be the people of God, however, would have conceivably been somewhat bewildering to Daniel if he had himself assumed that it was a physical temple that would be defiled during the time of the end. This could very well have been one of the reasons why Daniel did not understand all that he was receiving. According to the words of the Apostle Paul in Acts 17:24, a physical temple today would be little more than an empty building, void of the presence of God. I am sure that Christ would have known this, suggesting that Jesus would in no way have been referring to a physical temple as the ‘holy place’ in Matthew 24:15 when referring to the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel. A building absent of God is just another building. But the ‘holy temple’ that is the Church in which God dwells, however, is another matter. This may have been why Jesus said ‘let the reader understand’ in Matthew 24:15 — because Daniel did not …” Read more.

Nazareth: Islamic Billboard Warns Christians Against Believing In The Trinity And The Divinity Of Christ

01/22/2014 4 comments

1 John 2:22-23, 28, “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also… abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.”

Do you believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? Do you believe that Jesus is God in the flesh? One of the reasons why Islamists hate Christianity is because this belief associates Jesus with God, making Jesus a co-equal partner with the Almighty. According to Islam, this is called “shirk” and is an unpardonable sin that “Allah” will never forgive. The truth of the matter, however, is that Islam itself also associates the “prophet” Mohammed — whom Muslims claim to be the most “perfect man” to ever walk the face of the earth — with “Allah” himself. On one hand, Islam teaches that “Allah” has no partners, but then contradicts itself by teaching that someone cannot become a Muslim unless they acknowledge that “There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his messengerper the Shahada. Unless one acknowledges Mohammed they cannot become a Muslim. In Islam, a Muslim’s “salvation” is therefore entirely determined by their obedience and devotion to Mohammed, effectively elevating the “prophet” of Islam to the same co-equal status of Islam’s own deity. To acknowledge “Allah” is not enough. You MUST acknowledge the “perfect man” Mohammed, too …

Qur’an Sura 4:136a, “O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger [Mohammed] and the Book that He sent down …”

Hadith Bukhari 2996, “… [Mohammed] said, ‘Become Muslim and you will be safe. Know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Messenger. I want to expel you from this land. Whoever of you has some property should sell it. However, the earth belongs to Allah and His Messenger.’” (Source).

Qur’an Sura 3:31, “… If you should love Allah, then follow me [Mohammed], so Allah will love you and forgive you your sins …”

Qur’an Sura 33:36, “It is not fitting for a [Muslim], man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.”

Qur’an Sura 48:10, “Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you, [O Muhammad] – they are actually pledging allegiance to Allah …”

Qur’an Sura 4:80, “He who obeys the Messenger [Mohammed] has obeyed Allah …”

Israel Today – “As Christians of every stripe in Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth begin to again take a real stand for their faith, local Muslims are warning them not to overstep the boundaries of their traditional place in the Middle East (hint: they must remain dhimmis, or second-class). A large billboard hanging at a central point in Nazareth features a picture of an Israeli stop sign, along with the English translation of a verse from the Koran cautioning Christians (and Jews) to speak only the ‘truth’ regarding Allah. The poster (and Koran 4:171) reads:
“O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits of your religion. Say nothing but the truth about Allah (The One True God). The Christ Jesus, Son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God and His word conveyed to Mary and a spirit created by Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not say: ‘Three gods (trinity)’. Cease! It will be better for you. Indeed, Allah is the One and the Only God. His Holiness is far above having a son.”
Evangelical Christians from Nazareth have become a growing and integral part of the overall Messianic body in the land, while traditional Christians (Catholics, Greek Orthodox, etc) have been waking up to their historical and religious connection to the Jews and are joining the Israeli army in ever greater numbers.” Source – Israel Today. Hat tip to Jihad Watch. Flashback: Australia: Muslim Billboard Campaign Declares Jesus Only A ‘Prophet of Islam’ – “A provocative billboard advertising campaign launched by an Australian Muslim group claiming that Jesus was a prophet of Islam has outraged Christians in Sydney. The group, Mypeace, says its aim is to inform, not to offend, with Islamic awareness campaign, featuring four different slogans. But one Catholic bishop said the assertions – made on roadside hoardings – are ‘a direct assault on Christian beliefs’.” Read more. A Few Simple Questions for Muslim Visitors – “The Qur’an teaches that, according to Christianity, God acquired a son through procreation with Mary. In the eyes of Muslims, the term ‘son of God’ is believed to be, and is therefore understood, in a literal sense.  But this misrepresentation is so far from the basic tenets of Christianity that any serious student of the Qur’an should begin questioning the veracity of some of the teachings of Islam on this error alone.  The term ‘son of God’ in the Bible is an anthropomorphism and is intended to be understood in a figurative sense, not in a wooden literal sense. It is a metaphor to describe a relational identity. In John 3:16, Jesus is called the only ‘begotten’ son of God (the Greek word monogenēs) which means ‘unique’ or ‘one of a kind’ or ‘one and only’.  As Christians, we are all called God’s children (Matthew 5:9; Romans 8:16; Galatians 3:6; Galatians 4:5; Ephesians 1:5, etc.).  But this term is an analogy to describe our relationship to our Heavenly Father.  We are not literal ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’.  Even the angels are called ‘sons of God’ in the Bible (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7).  Adam is also called the son of God as well (Luke 3:38). But Jesus is called the only ‘unique’ son of God in Scripture for a very good reason…” Read more.

Does The Death Of Ariel Sharon Mean The Return Of Jesus Is Suddenly Immiment?

01/13/2014 1 comment

It is my view that there is more that must happen before the Second Advent, so I wouldn’t say that Christ’s return is “imminent” in the sense that He can now come at any moment, at least not yet. But I will say “soon” …

Matthew 24:29-30, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days … they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory…”

Ariel Sharon

Ariel Sharon

WND – “Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has finally died, and now the prophetic significance of his passing will be the broadcast across America and the world tonight.

Pastor and author Carl Gallups will be on the popular radio program ‘Coast to Coast AM’ late Monday night and early Tuesday morning to discuss the astonishing Sharon factor in his revelatory new book ‘The Rabbi Who Found Messiah: The Story of Yitzhak Kaduri and His Prophecies of The Endtime.’

Gallups will discuss the book with ‘Coast to Coast’ host George Noory for two hours, starting at 1 a.m. Eastern/10 p.m. Pacific. He will answer the toughest questions the book has raised and will explain what the book might tell readers about the end times mentioned in the Bible.

Gallups will also discuss the WND Films production of ‘The Rabbi Who Found Messiah,’ a documentary detailing his investigation into the story of Yizhak Kaduri.

Coast to Coast AM, or ‘C2C’ as it’s often called, has more than 500 affiliates reaching up to 5 million Americans seven days a week.

Published by WND Books, book ‘The Rabbi Who Found Messiah’ documents one of the great mysteries of our time.

When Sharon still was in office, vibrant and in command of his faculties, a venerated rabbi predicted the Messiah would not come until after Sharon’s death.

Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri died shortly after the stroke Sharon suffered put him in a coma in 2006. But before the beloved Kaduri died, he wrote a cryptic note in which he named the Messiah with whom he claimed to have had a mystical encounter. On the 108-year-old rabbi’s instructions, the note would be released a year after his death.

The note, when posted eventually on the rabbi’s website, showed Kaduri had revealed the Messiah’s name as Yehoshua, or the formal Hebrew pronunciation of Yeshua, or Jesus.

As a result of this unusual prophetic twist and the recent release of a book and movie about the life and death of Kaduri, the death of Sharon has renewed interest in Christian and prophecy circles around the world.” Read more.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ and the Rapture of the Church – “[W]hen many Christians read about the timing of the ‘rapture’ at the ‘last trump’ they are either unaware, or because of an already preconceived assumption on this very subject, refuse to even consider if the ‘last trumpet’ of 1 Corinthians 15:52 is a direct reference to the 7th and last trumpet that John describes in the 10th chapter of Revelation. But why? Admittedly, even I was not aware of the significance of Revelation 10 for many years, but am now more than convinced that we can corroborate through the context of text that this is indeed the last trumpet that the Apostle Paul wrote about to the church in Corinth. For a moment, if you will, toss aside any preconceptions you may have on the timing of the rapture and approach the text as if it were for the first time.  Approach it with the heart of a Berean so that together we may search the Scriptures.” Read more.

Diving Into Scripture: The Pre-Tribulation Paradox – “The Apostle Paul was very careful to explain to us that at Christ’s return those who have died in Him are resurrected first, and then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them. The obvious question that we must therefore ask is, ‘When does the resurrection of the dead in Christ happen?’ The answer, which many refuse to acknowledge, is given to us by John in Revelation 20:4-5: The dead in Christ who rise first are caught up in the First Resurrection … after the tribulation. The logical implications of the plain and straightforward teaching of the text are therefore undeniable: If the First Resurrection is after the tribulation then there can be no resurrection before the end of the tribulation, and if there is no resurrection before the end of the tribulation then there is therefore no rapture before the end of the tribulation. It is impossible…” Read more.

Ariel Sharon Has Died, Late Jewish Rabbi Said Messiah Would Return After Former PM’s Death

01/11/2014 29 comments

Former Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, has died. One of the Jewish world’s most revered religious leaders, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, claimed just before his own death in 2006 that he was visited by the Messiah. According to Rabbi Kaduri, he was told that the Messiah would not return until after the death of Ariel Sharon. Kaduri also wrote a note revealing the name of the Messiah that was not to be opened until one year after his death. In 2007 the note was opened, spelling out Yehoshua as the name of the Messiah. The name of Yehoshua is theophoric (bearing the name of God) and is the longform version of the Hebrew name of Yeshua (which means “salvation”), or Jesus in English. According to some, “Yehoshua” also means “YHWH’s Gift” …

Matthew 1:21, “She shall bring forth a son. You shall call his name Yeshua, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins” (HNV).

Romans 6:23, “… the free gift of God is eternal life in Messiah Yeshua our Lord” (HNV).

WND – “Sharon’s death is of interest to mystics in Israel as well as prophecy buffs around the world because of the prediction by Kaduri. Carl Gallups authored the book ‘The Rabbi Who Found Messiah’ and inspired a movie on the subject of the same name in late 2013.

In 2007, Kaduri, the most famous rabbi in Israel’s modern history, at 108 years old, left a cryptic death note revealing the name of the long-awaited Messiah. Within a year after the rabbi’s death, the note was reported to have been verified as authentic by some of Kaduri’s closest followers and then placed on Kaduri’s own website.

The purported Kaduri message proclaimed that Messiah’s name was Yehoshua, or Jesus.

It shocked the religious world.

Shortly thereafter the furor began. The note immediately disappeared from Kaduri’s website. The media refused to report further on the matter.

The Kaduri family, and several others close to the Kaduri ministry, began to claim that the note was a forgery or a mere fabrication – a cruel joke.

Gallups, an American pastor and former police officer, used his detective skills to piece the mystery together in ‘The Rabbi Who Found Messiah: The Story of Yitzhak Kaduri and His Prophecies of the Endtime,’ a book and movie combination that has reignited the controversy surrounding his prediction about the Messiah and Sharon.

Chuck Missler, founder of Koinonia House ministry, says that in the book, Gallups ‘explodes one of the biggest bombshells of our lifetime. The implications of these astonishing declarations from the most venerated ultra-orthodox rabbi in Israel impacts every one of us – not just those of the traditional Jewish faith. This is a must-read for anyone who takes God seriously.’

‘The only prophetic utterance of Kaduri concerning Ariel Sharon was that Messiah, would not appear until Ariel Sharon had died,’ said Gallups. ‘Within a little over two months after speaking these prophetic words Sharon was in a coma and Kaduri himself died.’

The Kaduri prophecy did not name a specific time or date in which Messiah would be revealed — only that it would not happen until after Sharon had died.

‘Many who have examined Kaduri’s prophecy have interpreted the urgent feel of it to mean that Messiah might appear very shortly after Sharon’s death,’ said Gallups. ‘This sense of urgency was strengthened by the fact that for several years prior to his death, Kaduri made several pronouncements of Messiah’s imminent return.'” Read more.

Daniel 9:27 Redux: Will Antichrist Make A False 7-Year Peace Treaty With Israel?

BookOfDanielOne of the most commonly held positions by many premillennial Christians today asserts that the time leading up to the Second Coming of Christ will be immediately preceded by a seven-year “peace treaty” signed between Antichrist and Israel. While I had at one time held to this position myself, subsequent studies have lead me to conclude that there is no solid Biblical basis for this view, only interpretative assumptions. Years of personal study as it relates to Biblical eschatology has also made it apparent to me that, even though we’d all love to believe we have every aspect of the prophetic texts completely figured out, we still continue to see as through a glass darkly. With as many opinions regarding secondary doctrines as there are Christian denominations, one obvious reality is that there is not a single pastor or teacher or author who has a complete and perfect understanding of Scripture or that is free from error, myself included, indicating that one interpretative method or hermeneutical approach alone cannot provide all the answers that we so often seek as students of Scripture.

As brothers and sisters in Christ, we can vigorously debate secondary doctrines (these must never be allowed to divide us) yet remain united on the essentials of our faith. Recently, I had the pleasure of engaging in a spirited debate regarding the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 with Joel Richardson, author of “Mideast Beast” (which I highly recommend) and a brother in Christ whom I esteem highly. Following our debate, Joel felt it was necessary to defend the view which posits an upcoming seven-year peace treaty between Israel and Antichrist by writing a subsequent article titled “The Antichrist’s False Peace Treaty” and offering a number of reasons why he believed it to be a sound, tenable position. What I present to you, however, are reasons why I believe it is not. Read more…

Description: “Mideast Beast completes and establishes the revolutionary argument introduced in Joel Richardson’s New York Times Bestselling Islamic Antichrist, namely that the Antichrist will be a Muslim, whose empire will arise out of the Middle East. Whereas most students of the Bible have long held that some form of humanism or universalist religion would catapult the Antichrist to world power, Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist systematically proves from that the long awaited system of the Antichrist is even now before us and knocking at our door. Through a highly scholarly, theologically grounded, yet simple presentation, Richardson thoroughly corrects the objections of critics, establishing beyond a doubt, the Biblical case for an Islamic Antichrist. With large segments of the Christian missionary movement embracing a heretical method of outreach to Muslims known as ‘Chrislam’ or ‘The Insider Movement’, Mideast Beast cuts to the core of the matter, revealing the true nature and origins of Islam.”

‘Monumental’: Islamist Super-Bloc Begins Forming In The Middle East

11/12/2013 3 comments

Tip of the hat to Joels Trumpet for the link. Although a strategic alliance between the Shias (Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon) and the Sunnis (Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt-Gaza) will never fully erase the division that exists between both branches of Islam, their collaboration will certainly be enough to instill fear in the hearts of Egypt’s military rulers whom Turkey views as “the enemy”, the House of Saud in Saudi Arabia whom Iran views as the “enemy of Islam” and Israel, of course, who is viewed as the enemy of them all. These are sobering times for all students of Bible prophecy. As events therefore continue to unfold, “let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober” …

Revelation 17:13, 17, “These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast… For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.”

2 Thessalonians 2:8, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”

By Ryan Mauro, The Clarion Project – “A monumental strategic shift is taking place in the Middle East as an Islamist super-bloc is forming. Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood are making up with Iran and Hezbollah. Egypt and the Gulf states are forming their own alliance. The U.S. outreach to Iran and the Brotherhood has left it missing from the equation.

The Syrian civil war has pitted the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood and Turkey against Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq and the Syrian regime since 2011. Now, with a bloody stalemate resulting in consequences each side fears, the two sides are looking for ways to make amends.

Turkey has been trying to move its relationship with Iran past the ancient Ottoman-Persian rivalry for years. The Erdogan government gave secret U.S. intelligence to Iran and in early 2012, informed Iran about ten of its nationals meeting with Israeli intelligence inside Turkey.

One of the architects of the Turkish-Iranian relationship is Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, who the Israeli Defense Minister described as a ‘friend of Iran.’ Some Israeli officials privately refer to him as the ‘station chief in Ankara’ for Iranian intelligence.

These statements about Fidan’s role is not hype. The recent U.S. ambassador to Turkey and Iraq, James Jeffrey, put it this way: ‘Hakan Fidan is the face of the new Middle East.’

Until recently, the bitter civil war in Syria blunted Fidan’s aspirations. Turkey’s ideological ally, the Muslim Brotherhood, is trying to overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, Iran’s most valuable ally. But now both sides are exhausted. The war is costly, bloody and no one is gaining anything by its continuance.

Turkey sees Al-Qaeda affiliates taking control of the Syrian rebel cause and Kurdish militias gaining control near the border. The cost of overthrowing Assad would be exorbitant. Al-Qaeda and the Kurds would be even stronger and sectarian warfare will exasperate the refugee crisis.

Assad’s Iranian and Russians backers want him (or at least his regime) to remain in power for strategic reasons, but both have to realize that his forces are overstretched and cannot hope to reclaim the entirety of the country.

High-level Turkish and Iranian officials are meeting with the expressed purpose of ending the sectarian conflict. An unnamed senior Turkey official told Reuters, ‘Both Iran and Turkey are at a point where they think they can work together on Syria.’

Turkey has become the ‘regional hub for the Muslim Brotherhood’s international organization.’ It also hosts a Hamas command post.  If Turkey is reaching out to Iran, it must be assumed that the Brotherhood is doing the same.” Read more.

Video: Walid Shoebat On Bible Prophecy And The Islamic Antichrist

10/29/2013 8 comments

Here is a good video of Walid Shoebat, particularly for those who haven’t yet been introduced to Bible prophecy from the perspective of an Islamic end-times paradigm …

1 Thessalonians 5:19-21, “Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

Jerry McGlothlin, CleanTV President: “Hi, I’m Jerry McGlothlin, President of CleanTV. Our presenter, Walid Shoebat, is going to talk to you about the Bible, prophecy, things in a different way than you’ve ever heard them before. We’ve heard of people like Tim Lahaye and the Left Behind series and you tend to wonder, ‘How can 50 million copies of these books have been sold?’ … The interesting thing is most things in life don’t have 100% of truth with them, and a lot of these things we’ve heard before about the rapture, the tribulation, etc., there’s a lot of truth in it. But I challenge you to listen to what you’re about to hear and see if you’ve ever heard truth like this before. This fills in the gaps. I don’t know about you, but when I’ve heard about prophecy before in the past something was missing. And I think you’re [about] to see it right now. Walid Shoebat connects the dots. From an ancient biblical perspective he takes the old, the prophecies of old, the major beliefs of our fathers of faith and connects them with the current days … Listen and watch, and prayerfully consider if what you’re about to see and hear is true … ”

Al-Qaeda’s ‘Standards Of Friendship And Enmity In Islam’ Declares Hatred Of Non-Muslims A Must

In other words, lawlessness must reign supreme. It is a religious mandate prescribed by the “Word” of “Allah” himself. But because we are being conformed to the image of Christ who is Himself the image of the God of peace and life, the minions of Mohammed will seek to conform us to the image of their “prophet”, the man who is himself a reflection of the god of war and death. And all who refuse to worship that image needs to be killed. It is what the Qur’an says to do, and what the Qur’an says, they do …

Revelation 13:15, “And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.”

Qur’an Sura 8:12b, “… terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.”

MEMRI – “Al-Qaeda’s broadcasting arm Al-Sahab has released an audio lecture that sets the standards of friendship and enmity with infidels as defined by Islam. The lecture is delivered by Abdul Samad, a militant Pakistani cleric who speaks in Urdu.

The lecture is titled ‘Standards of Friendship and Enmity in Islam.’ It was released through various jihadi forums with a link posted on the U.S.-based website Archive.org. Citing Koranic verses, Abdul Samad says Muslims should never form friendships and relationships with infidels, which is necessary for the success of Muslims in forming unity.

Citing hadiths and Koranic verses, Abdul Samad argues the following points:

i) The most powerful and binding relation is Islam.

ii) The believers, who do not disassociate themselves from nonbelievers and do not distinguish their ranks from people who have interest in worldly things, can never serve Islam effectively.

iii) Our friendship and enmity should only be for Allah’s cause.

iv) Our friendship, relationship and love should only be with the people who believe in Islam and Allah as the ruler.

v) The people, who do not accept Allah as the ruler and do not believe in Islam are our enemy and we should disassociate ourselves from them even if they are our close relatives and from our tribe.

vi) The infidels, whether they are the Jews or Christians, atheists and polytheists, are the real infidels and are the enemies of Allah’s faith (Islam).

vii) The Koran has termed friendship with Kuffar (infidels) as a sign of disunity and unbelief, as it is associated with the foundations of belief.

viii) The people declared by Allah as our enemy can never be our friends.

ix) The non-believers are the enemies of our elderly people, women and children. They kill the Muslims with bombs either in Kashmir, Iraq, or Palestine. There is hardly a day when a Muslim escapes their cruelty.

x) They open several fronts (against Muslims) after entering a region. One of their fronts is education. They used it in the Egypt and Turkey; and they currently use it in Pakistan against the Muslims.

xi) Our enmity towards Hindus is not due to the Kashmir issue; our enmity towards America is not due to Iraq and Afghanistan; the enmity between us and the Jews is not due to the Palestine; the real cause is that they do not accept our system and Islam.

xii) Our enmity towards them (the non-believers) will continue even if they renounce all their crimes.

xiii) Enmity towards infidels is a must. It is part of our faith. Islam says the Muslims should stay away from the infidels and their countries.

xiv) The best way to get rid of them (infidels) is to continue jihad until the Allah’s faith (Islam) is completely enforced all over the world.” Source – MEMRI.
