Bomb Explodes Near Jerusalem Bus, 1 Dead, 39 Injured
“One woman died and 39 were injured after an explosion took place near a bus in central Jerusalem Wednesday afternoon.
Police said that a bomb exploded outside Egged bus number 74 at a station opposite the Jerusalem Conference Center (Binyanei Ha’uma) in the center of town.
Thirty-nine people were injured in the attack. Three were injured seriously from the explosion itself, four moderately from shrapnel packed into the explosive device and the remainder in moderate to light condition.
The 31 injured were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hadassah Mount Scopus, Bikur Holim and Shaare Tzedek hospitals. All hospitals in the area were opened to receive casualties. One woman, 59, died from injuries sustained in the blast.

Islamists Fire Rockets Deep Into Israel, Members of Israeli Cabinet Call For War
“Palestinian rockets struck two cities deep in Israel on Wednesday, wounding a resident and prompting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to threaten lengthy “exchanges of blows” with the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.
Islamic Jihad, a smaller Gaza faction and occasional Hamas ally, claimed responsibility for the attacks on Beersheba and Ashdod.
They followed Israeli air strikes and shelling in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday that killed four Palestinian civilians, including three children playing football, and five militants, medical officials said.
Netanyahu, who voiced regret for Tuesday’s civilian deaths and said Israel sought no escalation, took a tougher tone after some members of his cabinet mooted a wider offensive on Gaza.
Israel’s three-week war in the impoverished coastal enclave in 2009 killed about 1,400 Palestinians, drawing heavy international censure. Hamas had mostly held fire since.
‘No country would be prepared to absorb protracted missile fire on its cities and civilians, and of course the State of Israel is not prepared to,’ Netanyahu said in parliament.” Read more.
Iran Orders Suicide Attacks on Saudi Interests Worldwide
This is only the beginning, and I believe John tells us how this ultimately ends:
Revelation 17:16-17, “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.”
“The Iranian leaders, furious over the Saudi intervention in Bahrain and what they call crimes against the Shiites of that country, have openly created centers to recruit volunteers for suicide bombings against Saudi Arabia’s interests worldwide:
Several grand ayatollahs in Iran have issued a fatwa for Muslims to come to the aid of their Shiite brothers in Bahrain, who they claim are suffering horrific crimes from their government in collaboration with the Saudi armed forces. They further emphasized that the people of Bahrain have every right to demand freedom and their fair share from the state.
Shia-News, a site associated with Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi (a hard-line Shiite Twelver and an influential figure in the suppression of Iranians during their uprising to protest the fraudulent presidential election of 2009), is registering volunteers to participate in suicide bombings against Saudi interests around the world. Hundreds have already registered. Reports from inside Iran indicate that an alert has gone out to the Revolutionary Guards Quds forces throughout the world to prepare for attacks on Saudi establishments. Read more…
Islamic Radicals in Indonesia Sending Mail Bombs to Security Officials and Christians
“Radical Muslim groups are thought to be behind mail bombs recently delivered to prominent figures and security officials, including Christians, in various places in Indonesia. Human rights activists and ordinary Indonesians are sounding the alarm, warning the country is slowing turning into a Pakistan-style ‘Islamised’ state in which extremist movements sow terror to gain power.
Although the authorities have not made any public statement on the matter, many believe that extremist groups are behind a recent spate of attacks involving books containing explosive sent by mail. Inspector Ansyaas Mbai, head of the anti-terror department, blames radical Islamic movements, like Jemaah Islamiyah, the Islamic State of Indonesia and the Mujahedeen Kompak.” Read more.
Mideast in Turmoil: Two Key US Allies in Danger
“Uprisings in the Arab world escalated at a fever pitch Sunday and threatened two key US allies, Bahrain and Yemen, where a top Yemini general and two other commanders joined the anti-government rebellion against President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Saleh, who has held power in the terror-ridden country for 32 years, is a key ally with the United States whose fall from power could have immense ramifications in the American war against al-Qaeda and Taliban terrorists.
Saleh fired his cabinet Sunday after two senior officials quit in protest of his attempts to suppress demonstrators with brute force. More than 50 people were killed last week. Tanks were roaming the streets of the capital of Sana’a Monday.
The three army officers who turned against Saleh are members of his own tribe, which also has called on him to resign.
In Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet, Sunni Muslim King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said his forces have foiled a foreign plot against his rule.
Saudi Arabia, which like Bahrain is ruled by the Sunni Muslim despite a majority of Shi’ite Muslims, has sent 1,000 troops to help the government suppress the uprising on fears that the fall of Bahraini kingdom could spell trouble for the Saudi King, Abdullah.” Source.
Putin Likens U.N. Libya Resolution to Crusade Calls
Way to go, Putin. Calling it a “Crusade” will serve to do nothing but incite the Arab world, giving them yet another reason to hate the West. Completely irresponsible.
“OTKINSK, Russia (Reuters) – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Monday likened the U.N. Security Council resolution supporting military action in Libya to medieval calls for crusades.
Putin, in the first major remarks from a Russian leader since a coalition of Western countries began air strikes in Libya, said that Muammar Gaddafi’s government fell short of democracy but added that did not justify military intervention.
‘The resolution is defective and flawed,’ Putin told workers at a Russian ballistic missile factory. ‘It allows everything. It resembles medieval calls for crusades.’
Putin said that interference in other countries’ internal affairs has become a trend in U.S. foreign policy and that the events in Libya indicated that Russia should strengthen its own defense capabilities.
Russia, a veto-wielding permanent Security Council member, abstained from the vote Thursday in which the council authorized a no-fly zone over Libya and ‘all necessary measures’ to protect civilians against Gaddafi’s forces.” Source.
Christian Persecution: A Choice Between Shame and War?
“As world events are reported, another tragedy that rarely makes the headlines is happening and has been for several years, which our media on the right, left and Christian will not report and inform the people of the Western world. The foundation for another genocidal holocaust is taking hold in the Middle East and Asia with the Nazi style persecution of Christians, along with a developing nuclear Middle East; these are major warning signs of a worse upheaval and even world war.
The blasphemy laws concerning the affront to Islam or anything concerning the religion is part and parcel of the laws of the ‘secular’ government of Pakistan. Christians are basically subject to laws in Pakistan based on the Umar Declaration the third Khalifa of Islam, that makes all non-Muslims second-class citizens and subservient, referred to as Dhimmis in the Islamic faith. The Umar Declaration was copied by Hitler to enact the infamous Nuremberg laws against the Jews as well as being educated by the modern originators of genocide the Islamic fundamentalist Ottoman Turks who also showed Hitler how to commit and get away with the murder of 2.2 million Armenian and Assyrian Christians during WW1.
In the last two weeks there has been an assassination of the Christian Minister for Minorities in the Pakistan government, who died in a hail of bullets when getting into his car. The reason for his murder was that he opposed the blasphemy laws of Pakistan and he wanted them repealed by the ‘secular’ government. A few days ago David Qumar, a Christian who was imprisoned unjustly for blasphemy, was killed in his prison cell. There are hundreds of other Christians incarcerated on false blasphemy charges with random murders and violence against the Christian community. Read more…
Sharia Law for the Non-Muslim
“When you study Islam in Europe today, you are seeing America in 20 years. Why? The actions by Muslims in Europe are based on Sharia law, the same Sharia law that is beginning to be implemented in America today.
- There are times when traffic cannot move in London streets as Muslims commandeer the streets to pray—a political result based on Sharia law.
- Entire areas of Europe are no-go zones for non-Muslims, this includes the police. These are Islamic enclaves where only Muslims live. The Muslim-only policy is based on Sharia.
- In England an Anglican bishop calls for the rule of Islamic law for Muslims. The bishop is obeying Sharia law.
- In the schools only Islamic approved texts can be used; this is based on Sharia law.
- Christians may not speak to Muslims about Christianity nor may Christians hand out literature. This is a political result based on Sharia law enforced by British courts.
- Rape by Muslims is so prevalent in parts of Sweden that Sweden has forbidden the police from collecting any data in the rape investigation that would point to Islam. Rape is part of Islamic doctrine as applied to non-Muslim women.
- In London, mass demonstrations by Muslims call for the end of British law and Sharia law to rule all people, regardless of religion. This political action is based on Sharia.
- In some English hospitals during Ramadan fast (an Islamic religious event), non-Muslims cannot eat where a Muslim can see them. The submission of non-Muslims to Islamic preferences is based on Sharia law.
- At British hospitals, Muslim women are treated only as Sharia law demands.
Here are current and historical events in America that are driven by Sharia law:” Read more (PDF).
Qaddafi’s Compound Hit By Missiles, Casualties Unknown
“The 4-story compound in downtown Tripoli that was home to Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi was demolished by missile attacks, according to reporters near the area.
There was no known injuries at it remains unclear where the leader has been living since the no-fly zone was ordered.
There were two circular holes in the roof, which is consistent with a missile strike, and rubble littered the street. It remains unclear when the strike occurred, reported Fox News’ Steve Harrigan.
Pentagon official had previously said Sunday that the coalition ‘will not be going after Qaddafi.'” Source.
Arab League Pushes UN For Libya No-Fly-Zone, Now Angered with Efforts to Implement It
“The Arab League chief said on Sunday that Arabs did not want military strikes by Western powers that hit civilians when the League called for a no-fly zone over Libya.
In comments carried by Egypt’s official state news agency, Secretary-General Amr Moussa also said he was calling for an emergency Arab League meeting to discuss the situation in the Arab world and particularly Libya.
‘What is happening in Libya differs from the aim of imposing a no-fly zone, and what we want is the protection of civilians and not the bombardment of more civilians,’ he said.
‘He requested official reports about what happened in Libya in terms of aerial and marine bombardment that led to the deaths and injuries of many Libyan civilians. He pointed out that he asked for the full data to know what actually happened,’ MENA said.
Western forces have unleashed their biggest military attack in the Arab world since the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, targeting Muammar Gadhafi’s air defenses and armored vehicles near the rebel stronghold of Benghazi in the east of the country.” Read more.
Report: Persecution of Christians Getting Worse, Particularly from Rise of Radical Islam
“THE persecution of Christians worldwide has worsened dramatically in the past few years, a new report by a Roman Catholic aid agency suggests.
Persecuted and Forgotten?, from Aid to the Church in Need, says that Christians are facing increased suffering in 22 countries around the world, and that Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Nigeria are some of the worst countries in which to be a Christian today.
The rise of militant Islam poses a particular threat to Christians, the report suggests. It also highlights a rise in nationalism in India, Sri Lanka, and Burma, and the intimidation of Christian groups in communist states such as Venezuela.
A spokesman for Aid to the Church in Need, John Pontifex, said: ‘Extremists increasingly link local Christians in their countries to the West. As they are in most cases unable to attack Western countries direct, many extremists turn their fire on local Christians.’
Three years ago, the charity was concerned that Christianity in the Middle East was sliding into obscurity; now, it fears that it is in danger of being extinguished altogether.” Read more.
Hamas Launches 50+ Rockets Against Israel, Israel Strikes Back
“Israel struck Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, after a barrage of over 50 rockets were fired into southern Israel earlier in the day.
The Israeli air strikes on Gaza wounded five Hamas security officers and a boy, Gaza medics said.
Two Israelis were wounded and a home was damaged by the rockets fired from Gaza earlier in the day. Saturday morning’s bombardment was the heaviest one launched by Gaza militants for months.
Hamas which rules the Gaza Strip, claimed responsibility for firing 10 of Saturday’s mortars, an unusual move after a long period in which it had let other smaller militant groups do its bidding.” Read more.
