The Qur’anic Con: How Revelation’s Predictive Biblical Prophecy Foresaw Islamic Teachings

Prophecy. Unlike the self-fulfilling Islamic “predictions” that are contingent upon its own believers to manufacture, maneuver and manipulate events in an effort to somehow render “Islamic prophecy” as genuine, the Bible is filled with true predictive prophecy of human behavior, demonstrably independent of any effort to facilitate its fulfillment. For nearly two-thousand years Christians have shuddered at some of the most frightening predictions described in the Book of Revelation, a sister-book to the texts of Daniel and filled with eschatological language that has inspired end-of-days folklore for nearly two millennia. Though filled with metaphor and symbolism, many aspects of Revelation’s predatory, beast-like kingdom as it relates to the conduct of its adherents are not. Beheading and forced conversion, for example, are understood as the literal conduct of a kingdom that would rear its ugly head prior to the Second Coming of Christ. Christians would be one of its primary targets.  Decapitation would be one of its preferred methods of execution. And all, regardless of race, tribe, language or social status, would be forced to submit to its religious dictates on pain of death. It’s the stuff of nightmares.

As the article “Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And ‘The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse’” explains, the seals of Revelation depict separate progressive, compound stages to an end-of-days beast kingdom that would one day expand to become the largest, most deceptive and violent politico-religious system the world has ever known, the kingdom of Islam. Though much of the following will overlap with other articles on this site, the intent here is to briefly compare the conduct of those who follow after the Beast of Revelation with the conduct expected by the teachings of Islam. After all, logic only dictates that if the seals describe the rise (and subsequent fall) of an Islamic Beast, then Islamic teachings would need to necessitate that those who follow the “prophet” of Islam therefore engage in precisely the sort of key behaviors typified by the Beast’s followers we read in Revelation.

USA Today – “An apparent Islamic State recruitment document found in Pakistan’s lawless tribal lands reveals that the extremist group has grand ambitions of building a new terrorist army in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and triggering a war in India to provoke an Armageddon-like ‘end of the world.’

The 32-page Urdu-language document obtained by American Media Institute (AMI) and reviewed by USA TODAY details a plot to attack U.S. soldiers as they withdraw from Afghanistan and target American diplomats and Pakistani officials.

AMI obtained the document from a Pakistani citizen with connections inside the Pakistani Taliban and had it independently translated from Urdu by Harvard researcher and translator Mustafa Samdani. The Pakistani’s identity was shared with USA TODAY, which has agreed not to identify him publicly because of concerns for his safety.

The document was reviewed by three U.S. intelligence officials, who said they believe the document is authentic based on its unique markings and the fact that language used to describe leaders, the writing style and religious wording match other documents from the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS. They asked to remain anonymous because they are not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

The undated document, titled ‘A Brief History of the Islamic State Caliphate (ISC), The Caliphate According to the Prophet,’ seeks to unite dozens of factions of the Pakistani and Afghan Taliban into a single army of terror.  It includes a never-before-seen history of the Islamic State, details chilling future battle plans, urges al-Qaeda to join the group and says the Islamic State’s leader should be recognized as the sole ruler of the world’s 1 billion Muslims under a religious empire called a ‘caliphate.’

‘Accept the fact that this caliphate will survive and prosper until it takes over the entire world and beheads every last person that rebels against Allah,’ it proclaims. ‘This is the bitter truth, swallow it.’

Retired Defense Intelligence Agency Director Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who also reviewed the document, said it ‘represents the Islamic State’s campaign plan and is something, as an intelligence officer, I would not only want to capture, but fully exploit. It lays out their intent, their goals and objectives, a red flag to which we must pay attention.’

Alistair Baskey, deputy spokesman for the White House’s National Security Council, told AMI, ‘we are aware of the presence of ISIL-affiliated militants in Afghanistan, and we are monitoring closely to see whether their emergence will have a meaningful impact on the threat environment in the region.'” Read more.

By Joel Rubin and Joseph Serna, Los Angeles Times – “Two Orange County men accused of conspiring to aid Islamic State militants fighting in Iraq and Syria pleaded not guilty in federal court Monday.

Nader Elhuzayel and Muhanad Badawi, both 24, allegedly conspired ‘to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant,’ according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Orange County.

Federal authorities said the men drew the attention of counter-terrorism agents with inflammatory comments on social media, prompting an investigation that led to their arrests last month. They are due back in court July 6 and are scheduled to go to trial July 28.

Details of a call between the two men before their capture were contained in an FBI agent’s affidavit.

According to the document, on the last Friday of April, after prayer services at a mosque in Orange County, Elhuzayel and Badawi spoke enthusiastically about Islamic State.

One allegedly proclaimed his wish to join the group and die a martyr on a battlefield. Although Yemen was attractive for its natural beauty, the men allegedly agreed they’d prefer to fight in Syria. They would drink wine together in the paradise that awaited them after they were killed, they reportedly said…

… federal agents raided the room at the Crystal Inn motel in Anaheim where Nader Elhuzayel has lived with his parents since the family declared bankruptcy and lost their house two years ago.

Falak Elhuzayel said a team of agents upended the room in the search for evidence and asked her why her son had purchased a one-way ticket. She said she told them that he had decided to buy a return ticket later because he did not know how long he would remain in the West Bank.

She described her son as ‘Muslim, but not very religious, just normal.’ Over the last year, he had become more observant, frequently attending Friday prayer services at a mosque in Anaheim, she said.” Read more.

The Independent – “The Isis militant group has seized enough radioactive material from government facilities to suggest it has the capacity to build a large and devastating ‘dirty’ bomb, according to Australian intelligence reports.

Isis declared its ambition to develop weapons of mass destruction in the most recent edition of its propaganda magazine Dabiq, and Indian defence officials have previously warned of the possibility the militants could acquire a nuclear weapon from Pakistan.

According to the Australian foreign minister, Julie Bishop, Nato has expressed deep concerns about the materials seized by Isis from research centres and hospitals that would normally only be available to governments.

The threat of Isis’s radioactive and biological weapons stockpile was so severe that the Australia Group, a 40-nation bloc dedicated to ending the use of chemical weapons, held a session on the subject at its summit in Perth last week.

‘This is really worrying them,’ Ms Bishop said in an interview with The Australian.

When they swept across territory in Syria and Iraq, she said, ‘the insurgents did not just clear out the cash from local banks’.” Read more.

Now Hamas — a death-loving Sunni Islamic terror group responsible for mass murder while seeking to “liberate” Jerusalem for the cause of “Allah” — faces the worrying prospect that another death-loving Sunni Islamic terror group responsible for mass murder is seeking to “liberate” Damascus for the cause of “Allah” as well. It would be an almost funny irony, if human lives were not the punchline. In lands controlled by the Religion of Peace, Mohammed-inspired ironies always have a way of being just as deadly and demented as the religion itself …

INN – “The savage Islamic State (ISIS) organization has seized nearly all of the Palestinian district of Yarmouk in Damascus, activists said Saturday, and there are reports of beheadings and mass killings of Palestinians.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) watchdog group said the Islamist group has taken over 90% of Yarmouk, on the southern edge of the Syrian capital.

The Financial Times cited activists who said that the jihadi group may succeed in cementing a foothold in the Syrian capital, thus increasing pressure on President Bashar al-Assad.

ISIS supporters have reportedly posted pictures of fighters beheaded by the jihadi group during the battle.

‘Reports of kidnappings, beheadings and mass killings are coming out from Al-Yarmouk,’ said Saeb Erekat, an member of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation’s executive committee, Saturday evening. ‘The priority must be to save the Palestinian refugees in the camp by creating a safe passage for them out of the death trap that Al-Yarmouk has become.’

He called on the UN, the International Committee for the Red Crescent (ICRC) and the Syrian government to help evacuate civilians.

The main group fighting ISIS inside the camp is Aknaf Beit al-Makdis, an offshoot of Hamas. Two opposition sources told the Financial Times the Syrian army had allowed a Palestinian militia allied to Assad’s forces to send weapons to the Hamas offshoot fighting in Yarmouk.

‘It’s an extremely rare thing for the government to do anything even remotely co-operating with the opposition,’ said one activist. ‘That shows you how desperate the regime is to stop ISIS from having gateway right to heart of the capital for car bombs or whatever other atrocities.’

International Business Times explained that Yarmouk has been the scene of a fierce three-way fight since ISIS entered it last week

The Sunni ISIS group struck an alliance with rival jihadi group Jabhat al-Nusra (The Nusra Front – Al Qaeda’s arm in Syria), to wrest control Yarmouk from the rebels loyal to Hamas, which had been fighting against regime troops.” Read more.

ISIS Destroys Hundreds Of Crates Of Food Aid As Thousands Of Refugees Face Starvation

The Book of Revelation forewarned us that things like these would happen. It forewarned us of the nature of the Beast …

By Tom Wyke and John Hall, Mail Online – “Depraved Islamic State militants have deliberately destroyed hundreds of boxes of American-produced Halal chicken despite hundreds of thousands facing starvation in war-torn Syria.

The barbaric terror group released photos show crates of chicken being set alight in a field near the city of Aleppo even though the meat being was slaughtered according to Islamic law and was perfectly fit for consumption.

The food was burned after the jihadis noticed labels on the boxes that suggested the birds had been reared and slaughtered in the United States – something ISIS considers so beyond the pale that hungry refugees on the brink of starving to death are banned from eating the meat.

The images of the chicken burning were released by the Islamic State’s official propaganda wing in Aleppo province, which the militants refer to by its ancient name, Halab.

The photo shows a close up shot of the apparent label, which states the meat had been produced by an Illinois-based company and inspected by the U.S. food standard agency.

Certified as Halal, meaning it has been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic Law, it is believed the meat was destined for the thousands of starving refugees in the city of Aleppo.

Instead, the two lorries were stopped by ISIS’ religious police force – known as Al-Hesbah – at a checkpoint in Aleppo province, where the cargo was deemed unlawful.” Read more.

The Guardian – “A Philadelphia woman was arrested on Friday on charges that she tried to join and martyr herself for the Islamic State, a day after two women in New York were charged with plotting to wage jihad by building a bomb and using it for a Boston Marathon-type attack.

Keonna Thomas, 30, was preparing to travel overseas to fight with the terror group and hoped to make it to Syria, authorities said. Instead, she was arrested at her home, which has three small US flags adorning the porch.

Authorities said that she communicated with an Isis fighter in Syria who asked if she wanted to be part of a martyrdom operation. She told the fighter that the opportunity ‘would be amazing’, according to the documents.

The women in the New York case are accused of plotting to wage violent jihad by building a homemade bomb and using it for an attack like the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, which were carried out from bombs that utilised pressure cookers. They were ordered held without bail after a brief court appearance Thursday. The lawyer for one of them said his client would plead not guilty.

Thomas is charged with providing material aid to terrorists, one of the same charges filed in 2010 against another Pennsylvania woman, Colleen LaRose, known as Jihad Jane, and two co-defendants in a terror plot that prosecutors say also involved online messages and recruitment for overseas terror suspects…

Thomas’s posts in support of Isis started in August 2013, when she reposted a Twitter photograph of a boy holding weapons, authorities said. She called herself Fatayat Al Khilafah and YoungLioness and tweeted posts such as: ‘When you’re a mujahid, your death becomes a wedding’, according to the FBI affidavit filed in the case.” Read more.

Study: Muslims To Outnumber Christians Worldwide In Just One More Generation

CBS DC – “Shifts in the world’s major religions will see Islam growing faster than any other faith, with the number of Muslims nearly equaling that of Christians by 2050.

A new Pew Research Center study finds that with the exception of Buddhists, the world’s major religions will all see an increase in numbers by 2050, although some will make up a smaller percentage from today. Muslims are the only major religious group projected to increase faster than the world’s population as a whole.

Over the coming four decades, Christianity will remain the world’s largest religious affiliation, but Islam will see a major increase that will make the two religions nearly equal in numbers by 2050. In 2010, Christianity was by far the world’s largest religion, with 2.2 billion followers of the faith and composing nearly one-third (31 percent) of the Earth’s 6.9 billion people. Islam was second, with 1.6 billion adherents, or 23 percent of the world’s population.

If current fertility rates and youth populations continue to grow at their current rate, Muslims will make up 10 percent of Europe’s overall population by 2050. Islam is expected to nearly match Christianity in the coming four decades as a result of a ‘comparatively youthful’ population with high fertility rates.

If current trends continue, Muslims will outnumber Christians worldwide around 2070.

Muslims worldwide are projected to see a 73 percent increase while Christians will rise about half that fast (35 percent). The world’s overall population is predicted to rise to 9.3 billion by 2050, also with a 35 percent rate of increase over the same time period.

In the United States, Christians will decline from more than three-quarters (78 percent) of the population to about two-thirds (66 percent) by 2050.

Muslims, ‘other religions’ and those unaffiliated with religion will see the largest increases in North America. The religiously unaffiliated are expected to rise from 16 percent to more than one-quarter of the population, 26 percent.” Read more.

Muslims are also eagerly awaiting their messiah.

In the latest evidence of this messianic fervor, a mainstream Sunni Muslim website has decreed that the Islamic messiah, called the Mahdi, will appear this year or in 2016 and that the Muslim Jesus will return in 2022 to conquer the world for Islam.

DiscoveringIslam.org and the End Times Research Center have calculated that the ‘first phase’ of the end of time will begin soon and lead to the ‘Day of Judgment’ in seven years.

The estimates were derived from ‘the latest research’ into numerical analysis of the Quran, Hadith, Arabic words and historical events,’ according to DiscoveringIslam.org.

‘The Messenger of Allah [sallallahu ‘alayhi wa-sallam] informed the Companions of everything that would occur until the Day of Resurrection,’ the website reports.

‘Based on our numerical analysis of the Quran and Hadith, the official beginning of the End of Time and the coming of the Imam Mahdi will most likely be in 2015 (or 2016) and Jesus Christ (p) will come down from Heaven to Earth in 2022, in-sha Allah (if Allah is willing),’ the website reported.

The Quran and the Bible put forth end-times narratives that are similar but opposite. The Bible’s antichrist, for instance, resembles Islam’s messiah while Muslims view the Jesus of the Bible as their antichrist or ‘Dajjal.’ The Quran teaches that Jesus returns to earth but for a very different purpose – to ‘break the cross’ and convert the world’s Christians to Islam.

Bible teacher Joel Richardson underscores the inverted end-time views of the two faiths in his New York Times-best-selling book, ‘The Islamic Antichrist,’ and his documentary film, ‘End Times Eyewitness.’

Richardson is an expert in eschatology, or the order of end-times events, as presented in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. He points to Jesus’ warnings in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 that false teachers and false prophets would arise in the last days to deceive many.

Richardson believes Muhammad is one of those false prophets. But the religion he founded, Islam, must be taken seriously because 1.4 billion people believe in its teachings, which are apocalyptic and getting more so, Richardson said. In fact, it’s impossible to understand what inspires and motivates Islamic radicals such as ISIS or al-Qaida if you aren’t familiar with their eschatology.

But it’s not just the radicals who believe in the Islamic teachings about the apocalypse, he said.

‘It is frequently claimed that those who believe these things are but the tiny minority of radicals,’ Richardson told WND. ‘But what the (Discovering Islam) article reveals, is that even many mainstream Muslims now believe that the last days are upon us.'” Read more.

AsiaNews – “Initial ‘reports mentioned 90 people abducted but for others the actual number is greater, perhaps 150. A church was destroyed, at least three Assyrian villages have been occupied and people have had to flee. We do not have accurate information, but the initial evidence points to a tragic situation,’ said Mgr Georges Abou Khazen, Latin apostolic vicar to Aleppo.

The prelate spoke to AsiaNews about Monday’s attack by the Islamic State group against Assyrian villages like Tel Tamar, Tel Shamiran, Tel Hermuz, Goran Tel and Tel Khareta, in north-eastern Syria. Jihadists reportedly raped a woman and then murdered her, but the information could not be confirmed.

Whilst everyone is suffering, ‘Christians feel they have been abandoned,’ said Mgr Mario Zenari, apostolic nuncio to Damascus.

Bassam Ishak, president of the Syriac National Council, reports that latest figure for abducted Christians is at least 150, more than the early figure of 90. They were taken in Al-Hasakah Governorate, north-east of the country, where Assyrian Christian communities have lived for centuries.

Some reports indicate that Islamic State militants killed some hostages. ‘Jihadists have taken a lot of people, including women, the elderly and children,’ said a local source, who requested anonymity for security reasons. ‘They burnt their houses, and torched a church.’ And ‘At least six’ people were killed. The terrorists ‘also raped a woman before killing her.’

The Syriac Military Council, a Christian paramilitary organisation, said that the IS attack on Christian villages was an act of revenge following jihadist defeat in Kobane and other villages in the area, following the Peshmerga offensive and international coalition air strikes.

The apostolic nuncio in Damascus agrees. ‘They came down from the mountains around 3 am Monday morning, and attacked an area largely inhabited by Assyrian-Nestorian,’ he told AsiaNews.

This a ‘high risk area.’ Some ‘four or five months ago, I received a text message from the bishop of Hassakah, in which he warned that the danger of a jihadist invasion was high.’

After they were pushed out of Kobane, ‘they shifted to these villages to seize more land,’ Mgr Zenari explained. Now Christians feel abandoned, he added.  However, everyone has suffered. ‘I see blood everywhere, in the cities, in the neighbourhoods. The desert has changed colour. It is no longer golden yellow but blood red.'” Read more.

Egypt: Muslim Children Idolize ISIS, Pretend To Behead Christians On Video

The Clarion Project – “Egyptian children have released an online video imitating ISIS’s slaughter of Egyptians Copts in Libya. In the short clip they imitate the jihadists slaughtering their prisoners, using sticks for knives.

One of the kids, playing the role of the leader and holding a stick for a sword, said ‘we are slaughtering the children, women and old people’ after that he commands his ‘fighters’ to carry out the ‘slaughter.’

The clip was filmed in the city of El-Mahalla in the Nile delta.

Dr. Yasri Abdel Muhsen, an academic psychologist, told Al-Arabiya, that publishing ISIS’ clips makes jihadists into heroes in the imagination of children, especially if you understand that the kids feel a kind of uniqueness watching those clips again and again.

He emphasized that watching and re-watching the clips causes the imagination to become mixed with reality. He noted that psychological studies show that if a child gets three hours of indirect education (such as through watching these videos) it affects 70% of their behavior. When a child watches ISIS’ crimes, he is being influenced by an unconscious will to imitate. Children are predisposed to mimic, for example family members in their movements, their tone of speech and their behavior. When these sights repeat themselves, Dr. Muhsen stressed, a child has no choice but imitation.

Dr. Muna Ahmed Hussein, a scholar of cultural media, told Al-Arabiya that what the children in El-Mahalla did emphasized a crisis taking place in Egyptian society. She said we are facing a generation that started imitating the crimes of the society unaware of their severity. In the future a child can get used to it and even contract complicated mental illnesses.

She described how American soldiers that fought in Iraq came back suffering from mental illness due to the sights of killing, the violence and the frequent exposure to seeing corpses and blood.

In the past most of the families refused to let children watch the slaughter of chickens or sheep so that they won’t be affected by that mentality and so it won’t invoke their feelings. But now, unfortunately, Dr Hussein said, families are calling on their children to watch violent movies and clips of ISIS.” Source – The Clarion Project.
