Signs in the Sun: Some Scientists Believe Bursts of Solar Activity May Be Causing Natural Disasters on Earth
“Some scientists believe bursts of solar activity cause natural disasters on our planet, but until now the star has been too difficult to reach or explore in any detail. Some Russian researchers think they have the solution.
Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis – apocalyptic pictures are becoming an ordinary part of news bulletins across the globe. And scientists are not giving out reassuring forecasts.
‘Unfortunately, we’re expecting more severe cataclysms which may lead to large-scale human losses and destruction,’ says Baku-based Professor Elchin Kakhalilov of the Global Network for the Forecasting of Earthquakes. ‘I’m talking about even a possible shift of the centers of our entire civilization.’
The change in the Earth’s seismic activity coincides with the rise of activity on the sun. Scientists have been witnessing gigantic bursts of plasma on its surface and say they are affecting our planet, even though it is over 90 million miles away.
Each burst sends billions of particles into space which impacts the Earth’s magnetic field. This may trigger some of the processes going on deep bellow its surface, leading to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.” Read more.
China: Islamic Separatists Blamed for Attacks in Northwest Xinjiang Uyghur Region, at Least 14 Dead and 40 Injured
“Beijing (CNN) — Weekend violence in northwest China left at least 14 people dead and more than 40 injured as authorities searched for additional suspects in a pair of attacks, a government official said Monday.
Local officials blamed the violence on an Islamic separatist group.
An explosion in the city of Kashi in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Sunday killed six people, said Hou Hanmin, a regional government spokesman. The blast also injured 15 people, including three police, Hou said.
Kashi — as the city is called in Chinese — is also known as Kashgar in the Uyghur language.
On Saturday, a knifing spree in the same city started when two men stabbed a truck driver, took control of the vehicle and drove into pedestrians, China’s state-run Xinhua news agency reported. The men then hopped out of the truck and attacked bystanders before locals subdued them.
Eight people died in Saturday’s violence, Hou said. One suspect was killed in the fighting, and another was apprehended.” Read more.

Flower Power Islam: The Religion of Peace … and Love
1 Timothy 4:1-3a, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods …”

By JACK HEALY – “HERAT, Afghanistan — The two teenagers met inside an ice cream factory through darting glances before roll call, murmured hellos as supervisors looked away and, finally, a phone number folded up and tossed discreetly onto the workroom floor.
It was the beginning of an Afghan love story that flouted dominant traditions of arranged marriages and close family scrutiny, a romance between two teenagers of different ethnicities that tested a village’s tolerance for more modern whims of the heart. The results were delivered with brutal speed.
This month, a group of men spotted the couple riding together in a car, yanked them into the road and began to interrogate the boy and girl. Why were they together? What right had they? An angry crowd of 300 surged around them, calling them adulterers and demanding that they be stoned to death or hanged.
When security forces swooped in and rescued the couple, the mob’s anger exploded. They overwhelmed the local police, set fire to cars and stormed a police station six miles from the center of Herat, raising questions about the strength of law in a corner of western Afghanistan and in one of the first cities that has made the formal transition to Afghan-led security.
The riot, which lasted for hours, ended with one man dead, a police station charred and the two teenagers, Halima Mohammedi and her boyfriend, Rafi Mohammed, confined to juvenile prison. Officially, their fates lie in the hands of an unsteady legal system. But they face harsher judgments of family and community.” Read more.

Morocco: Thousands of Fish Mysteriously Die Along the Banks of the Moulouya River
“Since mid-June, thousands of dead fish have been rotting along the banks of the Moulouya River, in north-east Morocco. While tests are being carried out to establish the cause of death, environmental activists are blaming a local sugar refinery that they accuse of ‘environmental crimes.’
After residents notified local environmental groups of the situation, these groups formed a collective called the ‘North Moroccan Green Platform’ to shed light on the problem. The collective points out that the river’s estuary is classified as a protected site of biological and ecological interest, and that its fauna risks extinction. In Oriental, a north-eastern region of Morocco, dead fish litter the river’s shores for dozens of kilometres, as several videos show.
The environmentalists put the blame on the sugar refinery Sucrafor. The refinery is part of the Moroccan group Cosumar, which has a monopoly on Morocco’s national sugar production. This is not the first time that the company has been blamed for contaminating the Moulouya River. In the 1980s and 1990s, environmentalists said Sucrafor had released more waste water into the river than was legally allowed.
This new scandal comes just one month after the new Moroccan constitution was adopted. Article 35 of the constitution stipulates that the state guarantees all citizens the ‘right to water, a clean environment and sustainable development.'” Read more.
Arab Spring: Democracy or Caliphate?
Seems that every passing day there is an ever increasing wave of support for the reestablishment of the Islamic Caliphate. Here is an article from Pakistan on July 3rd, 2011 that instead of being from the perspective of one looking in, it is rather from the perspective of one looking out …
By Syed Shariq – “… The extent of the malaise in the Muslim world requires a comprehensive change, not just a change of faces. Replacing Ben Ali in Tunisia or Mubarak in Egypt with those who worked with, supported, or even legitimised their regimes is no solution. Democracy is not the solution either. Pakistan and Sudan are democracies after all, and are no better than an Egypt or Tunisia. What is required is a comprehensive change at the level of the regime and system.
This is what the people want. The emphatic slogan of the uprisings was unequivocal: The people want the downfall of the regime; not the President, but the entire regime. This is, of course, the type of change Western governments do not want. They have been working hard to hijack the uprisings and to get away with mere cosmetic changes. Undoubtedly, their role in the uprisings has been intrusive, exploitative and hypocritical. In this regard, the West continues to doublespeak.
The propaganda is also persistent. If one were to go by the coverage of the mainstream media or the pronouncements of Western leaders, one would think that people of the Middle East and North Africa have finally seen the ‘light’ of the Western way of life, and are calling for liberal democracy. This could not be further from the truth. Being subject to decades of Western imperialism, Muslims have an intimate appreciation of what Western ideology has to offer, and they reject it outright. Instead, keeping the historical context in mind, it is clear to any impartial observer that it is the Islamic revival that gathers steam and the Muslims want change on the basis of Islam. The proof of this has been furnished elsewhere. And so they should. It is not the European model of the secular nation-state that represents the values, beliefs and history of the Muslim world; it is the Islamic model of the Caliphate.
The Caliphate, far from being a threat to the world that some would have us believe, would be a source of progress. For one, it will fill the political and leadership vacuum in the Muslim world and, thereby, would be a source of stability, and, in turn, progress and prosperity. A stable Muslim world means a much more stable and peaceful world. Two, the Caliphate would offer a new intellectual and political leadership to rival, and break USA’s monopoly as the sole superpower, whose foreign policy has wreaked much havoc on the world. Surely, advocates of liberalism cannot argue against competition?
Many in the West will disagree with our arguments…” Read more.

Nigeria: Christians Pray, Fast for Divine Intervention Amidst Death Threats from Islamists
By Ivana Kvesic – “Christians throughout Nigeria are fasting to invoke divine intervention and protection from the Islamic cult, Boko Haram, that has threatened to attack Nigerian Christians on the anniversary of their founder’s death.
Churches and their followers all over the country have begun a 21-day period of fasting in the hope of divine intervention to avert the looming attack.
Due to heightened insecurity, church attendance has dropped significantly in recent weeks. Less than half of those that attended church regularly can be found in attendance due to safety concerns.
Bombs have been going off on a daily basis in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, while the Nigerian capital of Abuja faced a bomb attack on a car park last month.
The anniversary attack is expected to occur on July 30, the day Boko Haram was founded by former leader Mohammed Yusuf.
Yusuf died in police custody in 2009, and was allegedly killed while trying to escape from prison.
Boko Haram, which can be translated to figuratively mean, ‘Western or non-Islamic education is a sin,’ claims that it is fighting for the establishment of an Islamic state in Nigeria.” Read more.

It maintained that since the present Federal Government is not Islamic, every employee is considered an infidel marked for elimination… The deadly group urged Muslims to stay away from Christians, their houses, businesses and churches because they are targets of attacks.” Read more.
Do You Speak Christian?
In the article below Episcopal theologian Marcus Borg is referring to a ‘pre-trib rapture’. And he is correct. It was never taught by the early church at all — and not until the mid 19th century — which is just one of the many reasons why I do not teach it. But ‘the gathering’ (post-tribulational ‘rapture’ of the elect) is explicitly taught by not only Jesus and Paul, but even John …
By John Blake – “Can you speak Christian?
Have you told anyone ‘I’m born again?’ Have you ‘walked the aisle’ to ‘pray the prayer?’
Did you ever ‘name and claim’ something and, after getting it, announce, ‘I’m highly blessed and favored?’
Many Americans are bilingual. They speak a secular language of sports talk, celebrity gossip and current events. But mention religion and some become armchair preachers who pepper their conversations with popular Christian words and trendy theological phrases.
If this is you, some Christian pastors and scholars have some bad news: You may not know what you’re talking about. They say that many contemporary Christians have become pious parrots. They constantly repeat Christian phrases that they don’t understand or distort.
Marcus Borg, an Episcopal theologian, calls this practice ‘speaking Christian.’ He says he heard so many people misusing terms such as ‘born again’ and ‘salvation’ that he wrote a book about the practice.
People who speak Christian aren’t just mangling religious terminology, he says. They’re also inventing counterfeit Christian terms such as ‘the rapture’ as if they were a part of essential church teaching.
The rapture, a phrase used to describe the sudden transport of true Christians to heaven while the rest of humanity is left behind to suffer, actually contradicts historic Christian teaching, Borg says.
‘The rapture is a recent invention. Nobody had thought of what is now known as the rapture until about 1850,’ says Borg, canon theologian at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.” Read more.
Comet Races Toward Earth at Peak of God’s Holy Days
Coincidence, or a sign?
By Joe Kovacs – “In the summer of 1998, Americans raced into movie theaters for not one, but two major Hollywood productions featuring giant asteroids about to smash into Earth.
The films – ‘Deep Impact’ and ‘Armageddon’ – had plots so similar, many people confuse the two.
Now 13 years later, a newly discovered, real-life comet named Elenin is racing toward our home planet.
No, it’s not an asteroid, and no, it’s not on a crash course, but it is expected to be at its closest point to us – some 21 million miles – during the culmination of God’s annual holy days mentioned in the Bible.
This has sparked a wave of speculation that it could be some sort of miraculous sign possibly heralding the long-anticipated return of Jesus to Earth.
‘It’s coming!’ thunders Paul Begley, a preacher at Community Gospel Baptist Church in Knox, Ind., in a YouTube video. ‘It’s on its way and right in the middle of the Feast of the Trumpets, it is going to come through and get in between the Earth and the sun.'” Read more.
Conspiracy Theorists: Comet Elenin is Either an ‘Incoming Spacecraft’ or an ‘Intelligently Controlled Object’ – “Comet Elenin is an incoming spacecraft or intelligently controlled object according to a number of presenters at a recently completed conference hosted online by the popular whistleblower website – Project Camelot. Several presenters agreed that Elenin will approach its closest points near the Sun and Earth at a time of extraordinary planetary and societal changes coinciding with the end of the Mayan Calendar. A number of anonymous whistleblowers were cited in support of the view that Elenin was an artificially controlled object responsible for widespread planetary changes in the solar system.” Read more.
Somali Rebels Allege Famine Claim an Infidel Hoax
Revelation 6:8, “… They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague …”
“For Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked rebels, the drought devastating parts of the country is being exploited by external enemies, claiming that local Muslims were adequately addressing the crisis.
The Al-Shebab insurgents have expelled several foreign aid groups from regions under their control since 2009 and reiterated recently that the ban was still in force after the United Nations declared famine in two regions they rule.
Shebab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage denied there was famine in the southern Somalia regions of Bakool and Lower Shabelle as declared by the UN, but admitted that there was drought.
In a speech to the rebel radio, Rage said local traders and other residents have been the main providers of help to the drought-hit population and that ‘God did not make them need an outside enemy or non-Muslims, the people in the country fed them very well.’
‘We need Muslim people to be aware that the external enemy especially non-Muslims have been thinking of a new strategy.
‘The new strategy is to transport them abroad, especially in Christian countries like Ethiopia and Kenya, so that their faith can be destroyed and that they could be staff and soldiers for the Christians,’ Rage charged.” Read more.
Somalia: Islamist Group Bans Samosas After Deciding They’re Too ‘Christian’ – “Somalia’s al-Shabaab group has banned samosas after ruling the popular snacks are ‘offensive’ and too Christian… Aid groups including the UN Food Programme say they were not given permission by militants to provide aid in the country, where it has been warned that 800,000 children could die from starvation. It is now thought islamist militants have taken offence at the three-sided samosa’s supposed resemblance to symbol of the Christian Holy Trinity.” Read more.
Toronto Sun: No Twisted Religion in Norway Tragedy
BY MICHAEL COREN – “Talk about exploitation of the innocents.
As soon as it was revealed Anders Behring Breivik was not a Muslim, and not part of some jihadist gang, the knives were out. Because, it was claimed, he was a fundamentalist Christian. Please!
The main photograph of the man used by the media showed him dressed as a freemason.
I know journalists are pretty dumb these days, but it doesn’t take a theologian to realize freemasonry is anathema to fundamentalist Christianity, as well as Roman Catholicism.
In his personal manifesto the killer wrote: ‘Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God.’
He also quoted various atheist philosophers when he posted on blogs, was supportive of the gay community, hadn’t attended church in 17 years, and seems to have had no connection to organized Christianity.
But that did not hold back the hysterical Christian-bashers out there.
The same happened, and still happens, with Timothy McVeigh. The Oklahoma killer was an atheist, who even in his final letter before execution screamed against God. No matter, he is still said to be a Christian.
Many of us assumed the Norway attack was the work of Islamic terrorists.
Actually, how could we not?” Read more.

Israeli Arab Children Taught to Defend Muslim Dominance on Temple Mount, ‘This Generation Will Be the Generation of Victory’
By Maayana Miskin – “Thousands of Israeli Arab youth are being taught to defend Muslim dominance on the Temple Mount, under programs sponsored by the Islamic Movement, the Israel-based branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
‘This generation will be the generation of victory, the generation that defends the place from which the prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven,’ according to Dr. Hikmat Namna of the Organization to Develop Al-Aksa, which has played a part in the educational program.
An estimated 6,000 Israeli Muslim children from 33 Arab towns in Israel have taken part in the program, which includes a tour of the Temple Mount. Children are also given pamphlets with stories about Mohammed and the Al-Aksa mosque.” Read more.
