Fuego Volcano Erupts in Guatemala
“Eruptions continue at Fuego volcano, Guatemala. During the night incandescent explosions ejected lava 100 m above the crater and sent avalanches down surrounding valleys. Rumbling sounds were heard and audible degassing lasted up to six minutes at a time. Ash emissions reached a height of 800 m above the crater and drifted south and southwest.
On 3rd March 2011 an explosion occurred from Caliente crater at Santa Maria volcano in Guatemala. Ash emissions reached 10,800 ft above sea level and produced ashfall in towns to the west and southwest of the volcano. The explosion generated a pyroclastic flow which moved 2.5 km down the southwest flank. Activity continued on 4th March with moderate explosions ejecting ash to a height of 11,000 ft above sea level, and ash fall on surrounding farms.” Source.
Dead Swans in Grand Canal in Dublin, Ireland
“We are getting reports of a number of dead swans in the GC in Dublin. They are concentrated on the 7th level from Portobello to Suir Road Bridge.
A number were taken from the water for analysis last week. A number of sick birds were also found and were taken to the DSPCA depot for treatment.
Another half dozen birds have been found dead this AM.
Initial reports suggest that the problem is NOT Avian Flu but is more likely some form of botulism or other bacterial infection. The source is as yet unknown but a number of dead and rotting sea-fish were found in the area and that is one possible source. Swans are known to be susceptible to this infection and similar cases have been reported from other areas in the past.
There were also suggestions that the dredging programme may have disturbed some bacteria in the sediment but this is seen as unlikely given the infected birds are some distance from the dredging site.” Source.
‘Two Suns’ Spotted in China Defy Scientific Explanation
“Weeks after a story shot across the Web claiming that the imminent explosion of a nearby star would result in the appearance of a second sun in the sky — a story that was later debunked — two suns were caught on camera yesterday in China. The suns — one fuzzy and orange, the other a crisp yellow orb — appeared side-by-side, one slightly higher than the other.
What’s going on? Life’s Little Mysteries, a sister site to Space.com, asked Jim Kaler, the University of Illinois astronomer who squelched the excitement over the aforementioned exploding Betelgeuse and who has written books on the day and night sky. The double sun image is an effect of optical refraction, Kaler said, but it’s a ‘pretty darn rare’ one, and one not fully explained by science.
‘I doubt it’s been computer modeled,’ he said. ‘There must have been some blob of atmosphere somewhere that caused this truly spectacular phenomenon, which in a sense is a mirage.'” Read more.
Sudan Says Arab Revolts a Prelude to Liberating Jerusalem
Zechariah 12:2-3, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
SNLM – “A senior figure in the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in Sudan said today that recent revolts in the Arab world is the beginning of the move towards liberating Jerusalem from Israeli occupation.
The secretary for organizations at the NCP Qutbi Al-Mahdi told the founding conference of the Association of Women for Jerusalem held in Khartoum that the revolutionary tide and awakening in the region is a precursor to the liberation of the disputed city.
Popular revolts sweeping across the Arab world over the past two months have toppled the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt, inspiring protests in some Gulf countries and an outright rebellion in Libya. Sudan says that these regimes are gone because they oppressed the local Islamist movements.
Israel considers all of Jerusalem its capital, a claim that has not won international recognition.
Al-Mahdi said that once the unrest unfolds the people in the Arab world will then devote all their energies towards Al-Aqsa holy mosque in Jerusalem.
The NCP official urged Muslims to counter what he described as the Jewish conspiracy to displace the inhabitants of Jerusalem and building The Temple Mount of King Solomon.
The 8th-century Al-Aqsa mosque also stands on the stone esplanade, about the size of a large city square. Judaism’s Western Wall, a Jewish prayer site believed to be a perimeter wall of the second biblical Temple, sits just below.
In Muslim tradition, prophet Mohammad ascended into heaven from the rock at the center of what is now the Dome of the Rock.
Al-Mahdi suggested that Arab regimes are complicit in what the Jews are doing to Al-Aqsa mosque and their plans to make Jerusalem their capital.” Read More.
Massive Animal Cloning Research Project Ended Due to 90% Death Rate and ‘Unnecessary Suffering’
“New Zealand-based research organization AgResearch has abandoned its 13-year animal cloning research program after it proved to be an abysmal failure. A company report states that “only 10 percent of the cloned animals survived through the research trials,” and it also admits that the animals underwent “unnecessary suffering” in the process.
For years, AgResearch has unsuccessfully tried to modify animals to create more milk, grow faster, resist disease, and even unnaturally grow special proteins from genetically-modified animal embryos for use in human drugs. But reports indicate that most of the animals used in its trials experienced severe pain and suffering as a result, while the vast majority of them ended up dying from either spontaneous abortions or hydrops, a condition where a cow’s uterus fills with water and results in the mother having to be euthanized.
‘The decision was made, enough is enough,’ said Jimmy Suttie, General Manager of AgResearch Applied Biotechnologies, concerning the scrapping of the program.” Read more.
House Panel to Look at Radicalization of U.S. Muslims
“WASHINGTON (AP) — Muslims in the America aren’t cooperating enough with law enforcement to counter the radicalization of young followers by al-Qaeda-linked groups, said a House leader on terrorism issues, renewing debate about religion’s role in motivating extremists and what the United States can do without alienating the Islamic world.
Rep. Peter T. King, New York Republican, who is chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, asserted that al Qaeda terrorists are targeting Muslim youth in this country, previewing his hearing Thursday on the extent of the problem and the Muslim community’s response.
‘The overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding Americans, but at this stage in our history there’s an effort … to radicalize elements within the Muslim community,’ he said in an interview broadcast Sunday.
‘It’s there, and that’s where the threat is coming from at this time,’ Mr. King said.” Read more.

Spate of Derwent Fish Deaths in Tasmania
“EXPERTS have no answers on what has caused the death of thousands of squid in the River Derwent this week.
Dead and dying arrowhead squid have been washed ashore or spotted floating on the water at Austins Ferry and Berriedale since Tuesday.
Locals say they have never seen so many dead fish.
The Environment Protection Authority yesterday confirmed reports of more dead squid further down the river.
It is the third case of mass fish deaths in the Derwent in the space of two weeks.
Early this week a large mass of dead juvenile barracouta was found in Windermere Bay near Claremont Primary School.
This followed a similar number of juvenile barracouta being found dead just south of the Norske Skog paper mill at Boyer the week before.” Read more.
Hamas Chief: Egypt Revolution Brought Us Back to Life
“The popular revolts in Egypt and Tunisia have brought Hamas back to life, the French news agency AFP quoted the group’s political chief Khaled Meshal as saying on Sunday, adding that Hamas and Fatah must join forces in a jihad against Israel.
Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted by recent popular protests last month, was seen by Hamas as aiding Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip – which Hamas has controlled since a bloody coup in 2007 – due to the fact that it sealed off its shared border with the coastal enclave.
Speaking in the Al-Quds International Foundation conference in Sudan on Sunday, Meshal was quoted by AFP as saying that the ‘people in Egypt and Tunisia have given us back our lives.’ …” Read more.
Bali Beach Warning as Bacterial Bloom Poses Danger to Swimmers
“Authorities in Bali have advised against swimming off Kuta Beach, one of the resort island’s most popular tourist sites, due to a reported bacterial bloom in the water.
The government-run Ngurah Rai Fish Quarantine Laboratory announced on Thursday that the bloom caused a drastic drop in the pH level of the water, making it more acidic and killing off large amounts of plankton.
Laboratory head Putu Eka Sudaryatma said the sudden die-off of micro-organisms had colored the water a turgid brown.
‘Under normal conditions a pH test of the water should have yielded a 7, which means it’s neutral,’ he said. ‘But when we tested a sample taken on Tuesday night, it had a pH of 4. Plankton can’t thrive in water with acidity levels that high.'” Read more.
Arab World: New Evidence of Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions
“On March 1, the Pentagon announced it was sending the USS Monterey – a vessel equipped with the sophisticated Aegis radar system, capable of protecting Europe from a potential Iranian nuclear missile strike – to the Mediterranean.
The guided missile cruiser is the first part of a missile shield announced by the Obama administration in 2009.
Its deployment comes one week after the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released a notably outspoken report on Iran’s nuclear activities and lack of cooperation with inspectors operating under the UN Security Council’s mandate.
Issued on February 25, the report appears to agree, at least in part, with the conclusions of a new US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran, about which members of Congress and their staff were briefed a week earlier.
Together, the reports paint a picture of Iran persisting in its controversial nuclear activities despite international concern, although the US report suggests that sanctions and sabotage have slowed the program.” Read more.
Report Outlines the Islamic Threat to America
Shariah: The Threat to America
Center for Security Policy
Executive Summary
In 1976, the then-Director of Central Intelligence, George H. W. Bush, commissioned an “Experiment in Competitive Analysis.” Its purpose was to expose to critical scrutiny the assumptions and factual basis underpinning the official assessment of the totalitarian ideology that confronted America at the time: Soviet Communism. That official assessment was rooted in the belief that, through a policy of engagement known as détente, the United States and the USSR could not only avoid horrifically destructive conflicts, but could peacefully coexist permanently.
DCI Bush invited a group of known skeptics about détente to review the classified National Intelligence Estimates and other data concerning Soviet objectives, intentions and present and future military capabilities. The object was to provide an informed second opinion on the U.S. policy toward the Kremlin that was, ostensibly, warranted in light of such information. The conclusions of this experimental initiative — which came to be known popularly as the “Team B” study — differed sharply from those of “Team A”: the Ford Administration and the intelligence community.
