Egypt: Christian Boy Kidnapped At Knifepoint, Abductors Open Fire On Church

By Raymond Ibrahim, Jihad Watch – “Just as Islamic terrorists feed off of Christian minorities by kidnapping and ransoming them, especially in lawless regions—like ‘liberated’ Iraq and on-its-way to being ‘liberated’ Syria—last Sunday, four armed and masked men kidnapped a 12-year-old Coptic Christian boy, Abanoub Ashraf, as he was walking to his church in ‘Arab-Spring-liberated’ Egypt. Right before he reached the St. Paul Church in Shubra al-Khayma district, the men put a knife to his throat, dragged him to their car, opened fire on the church, and then sped away. The kidnappers later called the family asking for five million Egyptian pounds in ransom—almost the equivalent to one million U.S. dollars, likely an impossible amount to raise.

During a live interview with Wael Ibrashi concerning this incident, Coptic Bishop Marcus said that, while the immediate motive behind the kidnapping is money, the other purpose is to frighten Christian families from sending their children to church. Otherwise, why kidnap him from right in front of the church door? (Considering that some Egyptian clerics consider attending church as worse than attending bars and brothels, the kidnappers likely deem this the ‘altruistic’ side of their greed and hate.) The kidnappers also covered their faces only right before they pounced on the boy, displaying their confidence that there would be no repercussions.

When Ibrashi asked the bishop ‘previously [during Mubarak’s era] there always used to be guards; who removed the guard from the church?’ a dejected sounding Bishop Marcus responded, ‘I don’t know; ask security not us.’ Similarly, according to the 12-year-old’s distraught family, while the local security agency has portrayed itself as doing all it can to discover the boy—that, is, on Egyptian media—’it has not contacted us, nor asked us about anything whatsoever.'” Source – Jihad Watch.

Joel 3:1-2,4, “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,  I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land… Now what have you against me, O Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia? Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.”

Egyptian Minister of Religious Endowments Ali Afifi, 3/14/2013: “[W]e hope that the words of the Prophet Muhammad will be fulfilled: ‘Judgement Day will not come before the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Jews will hide behind the rocks and trees, but the rocks and trees will say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him – except for the gharqad tree, which is one of the trees of the Jews.’ We fully believe that the future of this land [Israel] lies with Islam and the Muslims.”

‘Religiously Sanctioned Prostitution’: Islamic Pedofiles The World Over Flock To Syrian Refugee Camps To ‘Marry’ And Rape Syrian Girls

By Rana Muhammad Taha, Daily News Egypt – “Gamal Eid, director of the Arab Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI), stated that the marriage of Egyptian males to female Syrian refugees in exchange for money is a form of human trafficking.

The National Council for Women (NCW) sent two letters to Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim and Minister of Justice Ahmed Mekki on Thursday requesting the ministries’ intervention in combatting this phenomenon.

Eid stated that such marriages taking place is a political disaster. ‘It’s disastrous that female refugees fleeing their warring country would meet such treatment in Egypt,’ he said.

In a statement released on Thursday, the NCW cited a memorandum sent last week to President Mohamed Morsi by the International Union for Egyptian Women, calling for immediate intervention to stop such marriages.

The union stated that Syrian women are made available for marriage to Egyptian men in exchange for EGP 500 per wife, adding that such marriages are especially abundant in 6th of October City, 10th of Ramadan City, and New Cairo, as well as the Alexandria, Al-Daqahleya and Al-Gharbeya governorates. In one year 12,000 marriages have taken place, the union claimed..” Read more.

Rich Saudi Men Paying For Minors To ‘Marry’ – “Um Majed sets down small cups of hot Turkish coffee to ease the tension. Nezar is a Syrian refugee and looking for a husband for her daughter. She lists the girl’s qualities. ‘She is tall and pretty,’ she tells Um Majed. ‘She finished the seventh grade.’ ‘There is one available. He is Saudi,’ Um Majed answers. This is what Nezar wants to hear. Saudis, flush with petrodollars, will pay well. She has high hopes for this Saudi… The legal age of marriage in Jordan is 18 but some religious clerics will marry underage girls for a small fee. This puts the girls at even greater risk for exploitation because some of Um Majed’s clients want a temporary union lasting a few weeks or months after which the girl is returned to her parents. In other words, it is religiously sanctioned prostitution. ‘One of my brides has been married three, four times,’ Um Majed says. ‘She is 15.'” Read more.

Flashback: New Saudi Fatwa Defends Pedophilia as ‘Marriage’ – “Muslim ‘child-marriage’ — euphemism for pedophilia — is making headlines again, at least in Arabic media: Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, a prominent cleric and member of Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, just issued a fatwa asserting that there is no minimum age for marriage, and that girls can be married ‘even if they are in the cradle.’ … Fawzan insists that nowhere does Sharia set an age limit for marrying girls: like countless Muslim scholars before him, he relies on Koran 65:4, which discusses marriage to females who have not yet begun menstruating (i.e., are prepubescent) and the fact that Muhammad, Islam’s role model, married Aisha when she was 6-years-old, ‘consummating’ the marriage — or, in modern parlance, raping her — when she was 9.” Read more.

Pakistan: Anti-Christian Hatred Injures At Least 18 After ‘Religion Of Peace’ Cleric Incites Violence

By BosNewsLife Asia Service – “At least 18 people were injured Wednesday, April 3, when angry Muslims attacked a dozen Christian shops and churches in Pakistan’s city of Gujranwala, Christians told BosNewsLife.

Among the seriously injured people was one man who was earlier reported to have died, but he survived, investigators said.

The violence in the city’s Francis Colony area followed Muslim anger about Easter Sunday prayers in local churches and a dispute among Muslim and Christian youngsters over loud music, BosNewsLife established.

Adding to tensions was a Muslim cleric who rebuked Christian boys for ‘disrespecting Islam’ by playing music on their mobile phones near a mosque, residents said.

Tuesday’s fighting between Muslim and Christian boys soon spiraled out of control with local imams reportedly using mosque loudspeakers to encourage violence against ‘Christian infidels.’ …

On Wednesday, April 3, the area turned into a war zone, with police apparently firing with live ammunition at rioters and heavily armed Muslim mobs shooting back at security forces and Christians.

‘At least one Christian man nearly died after he was seriously wounded by shooting and fighting, but he survived following hospital treatment,’ added Sardar Mushtaq Gill, director of Christian advocacy group Legal Evangelical Association Development (LEAD).

More details about the injured man were not immediately available, but LEAD said it was investigating. ‘It is not yet clear whether he was shot by a Muslim mob or police,’ Gill said.

He said at least 18 people were injured including several with bullet wounds, who were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Christian-owned shops and churches were targeted and more than a dozen cars, buses and other vehicles were set on fire, Christians and investigators said.” Read more.

Provocation: North Korea Moves Missile With ‘Considerable Range’ To Its East Coast, US ‘Poised To Respond’ At Border

Matthew 24:6, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”

Fox News – “South Korea says North Korea has moved a missile with ‘considerable range’ to its east coast after an unnamed spokesman for the North Korean army warned the U.S. Wednesday that its military has been cleared to wage an attack using ‘smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear’ weapons.

South Korea’s defense minister said Thursday the missile moved is not capable of hitting the United States.

Kim Kwan-jin dismissed reports in Japanese and South Korean media that the missile could be a KN-08, which is believed to be a long-range missile that if operable could hit the United States.

Kim told lawmakers at a hearing that the missile’s range is considerable but not far enough to hit the U.S. mainland. He said he did not know the reasons behind the missile movement, saying it ‘could be for testing or drills.’

The range he described could refer to a mobile North Korean missile known as the Musudan, which has a range of 1,800 miles. That would make Japan and South Korea potential targets, but little is known about the missile’s accuracy.

U.S. Troops Stand ‘Poised to Respond’ at North Korea Border – “The United States says it stands ‘poised to respond’ at the border of North and South Korea, where U.S. troops are on high alert. ‘They have ratcheted up their bellicose, dangerous rhetoric and some of the actions they’ve taken over the last few weeks present a real and clear danger,’ Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said. The U.S. is sending a missile battery to Guam and two guided missile destroyers are on the border of South Korea, joining Navy warships already poised to shoot down an incoming missile. U.S. warplanes, including fighter jets, U-2 spy planes and an A-10 attack jet, are in the South Korean skies today as part of a massive military exercise overseen by the U.S. lieutenant general who brought in F-22 stealth fighters as well. They’d be first into the North if war broke out.” Read more.
