Canadian Government, Companies, Universities All Refuse to Conduct Radiation Tests Despite Concerns

By Stephanie Stein – “In the June 2 edition of, The Beacon, it was discussed how the release of radiation from the Fukushima plant in Japan could potentially be poisoning Canadian soil, and possibly central Newfoundland. Evidence from various radiation monitors and news reports have shown that it has become a worldwide issue, and given that the airspace is shared, Canada and the U.S. have been directly affected as well…

Even though central Newfoundland is considered safe, reports by numerous media establishments have shown that radiation saturation has doubled recently. According to a CNN report, Arnie Gundersen, Chief Nuclear Engineer, said hot particles are showing up in North America. The radiation, he explained, emits a big cloud of gases, which can be measured with the Geiger counter. Nuclear engineers have also been finding hot particles or fuel fleas, which can cause cancer around the world. In Tokyo in April, measurements indicated that there are about 10 hot particles a day, which is a high level of concern in what a normal person would breathe. In Seattle, for instance, it went down to about five hot particles a day, which can lodge into lung tissue, the digestive tract or bone, and over time can cause cancer. As a safeguard, it has been strongly advised by Mr. Gundersen to wash all fruits and vegetables before consuming them.” Read more.

Fukushima is the greatest nuclear and environmental disaster in human history – “To give one an example of how lethal radiation is, one pound of plutonium evenly distributed into everyone’s lungs would kill every man, woman and child on Earth. There are literally ‘tons’ of radioactive plutonium (among other radioactive elements) that have been released into the air and ocean environments since March 11th. Another critical fact to remember is that radioactive plutonium, for example, remains lethal (killing life) for thousands years as it has a half-life of 24,000 years. Some other radioactive elements such as uranium have a half-life of 4.47 billion years.” Read more.

Meanwhile, the EPA, FDA, etc. are worried about fuel emissions, chemicals in food, etc., but the gov’t (or most of the media) doesn’t seem all that alarmed about Fukushima–probably because they can’t do a thing about it. Also, they can’t throw their weight around like they can here with regulations and taxes.

In CA you can’t buy a 100 watt incandescent light bulb anymore, and the only gas cans they sell is this ridiculous contraption that spills more gas than it prevents in evaporation, all because dumb CA bureaucrats and their elected cronies pocketed some serious $$ from “green” gas can lobbyists.

ts like we’re bailing water from the boat with a bucket while the iceberg has ripped a hole in the side of the S.S. Sinkinfast.

I think you’re right — they can’t do a single thing about the radiation from Fukushima. Ignorance is bliss, as they say, regardless of whether or not it kills in the end …
