Halal, The New Stealth Jihad – Are You Eating Food Sacrificed to Idols?

06/27/2011 9 comments

Revelation 2:19-20, “‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.”

By Vin Ienco – “In April 2008, FrontpageMag.com published an article by renowned author and Christian Evangelist, Dr. Peter Hammond. Dr. Hammond has created and chaired many groups concerning the plight of persecuted Christians in Africa. He has authored over a dozen books and in the course of his 3 decades of evangelizing, he has been stabbed, beaten, shot and imprisoned.

A much circulated excerpt from his book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat is an article entitled, What Islam isn’t, or more commonly known as the Islamic Saturation Index. This articlelooks at the various stages of Islamic conquest by Muslims in their host countries, dependent upon what percentage of the population they hold.

He states, ‘from 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of Halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves, along with threats for failure to comply.’” Read more.

Over the following year, sales of the unique item were so good that they expanded the idea to a second Dearborn location.” Read more.

A Canadian line of Campbell’s soups has activists stewing over Islamic connection – “Campbell Soup Co., the Camden, N.J., food giant, has been fighting a grass-roots boycott of its products after its Canadian subsidiary rolled out a line of soups certified as halal, meaning they’re prepared according to Islamic dietary laws.” Read more.

Fast food chain KFC converts eight London restaurants to halal-only menu – “Fast food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken is to launch a halal-only menu in eight of its London stores in a move which could be extended to other areas of the UK. The menu, which will form part of a trial, will see the stores selling chicken products which have been fully approved by the Halal Food Authority for the first time.” Read more.

Are you eating food sacrificed to idols? – “When you bite into a delicious pizza, succulent sandwich or luscious lamb chops, are you possibly eating food that has been sacrificed to idols? An outspoken American pastor says yes, and he’s sounding the alarm for Christians to be aware of the Islamic influence he calls ‘backdoor Shariah’ now nibbling its way across the fruited plain. At issue, says Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash., is eating food that’s ‘halal,’ in other words ‘lawful’ or ‘permitted’ for the Muslim diet. Muslims join many Jews and some Christians in avoiding the consumption of certain animals such as pigs and birds of prey, but those of the Islamic faith also have their meat blessed in the name of their god, Allah. ‘From the Christian standpoint, Allah would be an idol,’ Biltz told WND.” Read more.

Egypt’s Pro-Democracy Activists Feel Their Grip Slipping

Isaiah 19:4, “‘I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,’ declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.”

By Jeffrey Fleishman – “Reporting from Cairo— Sensing the revolution that overthrew President Hosni Mubarak is slipping from their grasp, activists and opposition groups are pressuring the ruling military council to postpone Egypt’s elections in September amid fears that Islamists and members of the former regime will gain too much power.

The attempt by fledgling political parties to win more time to organize coincides with a renewed push to draft a new constitution before the parliamentary elections so that no political bloc, especially the Muslim Brotherhood, will have unchecked influence to set the laws of the land.

The pressing concern among independents and secularists is that the Brotherhood, the nation’s largest and best-organized party, may win about 25% of the seats in parliament and control even more through a coalition. This could give the organization the power to infuse the new constitution with conservative Islamic ideals to limit rights for women and non-Muslims.

‘The Brotherhood is tyrannical in its opinions and views, and I think they will take the side of the Islamist businessmen who fund it and have strict Islamic ideologies,’ said Khalid Sayed, a member of the Jan. 25 Youth Coalition. ‘Whatever constitution they might form would not fulfill the demands of Egyptians for civil rights and democracy.'” Read more.

Egyptian Shaykh: Democracy and Freedom is a ‘Bad, Backwards, and Retarded Idea’

06/27/2011 Leave a comment

“In a video clip posted to YouTube on 17 June, Egyptian Shaykh Sa’id ‘Abd-al-‘Azim explains that “democracy is a bad, backwards, and retarded idea,” which he condemns for the freedoms it contains, which includes “the freedom to disbelieve in the Creator of Heaven and Earth.” He also compared those who advocate democracy to the wicked people of Sodom. This clip was taken from an interview conducted on the Islamic satellite station al-Hafez on 4 June. Subtitled video is above, transcript is below:

Shaykh ‘Abd-al-‘Azim: I want to say that democracy is a bad idea. We should not feel ashamed to say it. It is a bad, backward, and retarded idea, which is taken from Greece. Democracy is spoken of like it’s a modern discovery, but it’s not–(interrupted)

Host: You described this beautifully in this book, saying that the people who believe in democracy are like the people of Lot, who believed in the majority. Lot’s people numbered about 100,000, while the majority was only Lot and his two daughters. Wherefore the minority was better than the majority, thus everyone who believes in this democracy–(interrupted)

Shaykh ‘Abd-al-‘Azim: That’s right. Even the freedoms–what are they? Among the freedoms inherent in the democratic system are freedom for women, freedom of ownership, freedom of homosexuality, personal freedom, freedom of conscience and expression, freedom to disbelieve in the Creator of Heaven and Earth. There’s mixing (of men and women), usury–all of this is in democracy, which is why I condemn it.” Source.

Qatari Investors: Huge Downtown Development Project in Washington DC Must Conform to Sharia Law

06/27/2011 Leave a comment

While they’re at it, maybe they ought to consider a nice Sharia-compliant piece of art nouveau in the mall’s center to appear more Western, like a beautiful fancy guillotine illuminated by the backdrop of a crescent moon.  Don’t be surprised if the next thing you hear is that pro-Israel Jews aren’t allowed.  Or pro-Zionist Christians.  Or your average every-day pro-freedom ‘kaffir‘ …

By Lydia DePillis – “The New York Times’ profile of the CityCenterDC project has mostly nothing new in it if you’ve been following the huge downtown project at all. But it does include this fascinating nugget about the requirements of its Qatari investors:

Even before the Qatari investors became involved, Hines and Archstone determined that leasing to banks would not help them create lively shopping streets, Mr. Alsup said. But as it happened, their hesitancy on bank branches meshed with the policies of their financial partners, who adhere to the restrictions of Shariah, or Islamic law, including the ban on collecting interest. Restaurants will be able to serve liquor, but retailers whose primary business involves selling alcohol will not be allowed, Mr. Alsup said.

In their marketing materials, Hines and Archstone say they intend to provide ‘an authentic place for urban residents to socialize outside their homes.’

So, no bars or banks for the biggest downtown construction project in recent memory! As Bill Alsup alluded to, banks aren’t all that great for a city streetscape, and it’s admirable that they planned to forego such a dependable and high-rent-paying tenant. It’s less advantageous, though, to not have business devoted primarily to selling alcohol. CityCenterDC is unlikely to be plagued by liquor stores, but it could definitely use a few places to be out at night drinking without getting a full dinner. Could Qatari money turn CityCenterDC into more of a black hole than the last piece of the puzzle in a living downtown?” Read more.

Iran to Hold 10-Day Military Exercise Dubbed ‘Great Prophet-6’ to Promote a ‘Message of Peace and Friendship’

Daniel 8:25:a, “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify [himself] in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many …”

“TEHRAN (AFP) – Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards are to launch military exercises on Monday with the firing of different range ballistic missiles, the state news agency IRNA reported.

The exercises, codenamed Great Prophet-6, are to start on Monday, said a Guards commander, General Ami Ali Hadjizadeh, quoted by IRNA, without specifying how long the manoeuvres will last.

‘Short-, medium- and long-range missiles will be fired, especially the Khalij-Fars, Sejil, Fateh, Ghiam, and Shahab-1 and -2 missiles,’ he said.

The general, whose force carries out wargames each year in the Gulf region, said the latest exercises were ‘a message of peace and friendship to the countries of the area.’

In late May, Iran said it had equipped the Revolutionary Guards with a new surface-to-surface missile, the Qiam-1, which was built locally and test-fired last August.

Iran says it has a wide range of missiles, some capable of striking targets inside arch-foe Israel as well as US bases in the Middle East.” Read more.

A Visit to Ahmadinejad’s Nuclear Laboratory – “A recent United Nations report reinforces suspicions that Iran’s nuclear program may be serving military purposes — and that it is being infiltrated and attacked by computer viruses. During a recent visit by SPIEGEL reporters to Tehran’s contested nuclear laboratory, scientists wouldn’t comment on the developments, but the sensitivity of the issue in Iran is clear.” Read more.

For first time, Iran unveils underground missile silos – “Iran unveiled underground ballistic missile silos for the first time on Monday in a warning to the world of its ability to protect its missiles and secretly store them in hidden locations throughout the country. State TV broadcast footage of several military officers touring an underground silo that was holding a Shahab 3 ballistic missile. The Shahab 3 has a range of some 2,000 kilometers, putting Israel within its reach but is powered by liquid fuel which means that it needs to be fueled close to launch.” Read more.
