Ahmadinejad: Iran Not Afraid to Make Nuclear Weapon
On one hand the Iranians say they are not afraid to make a nuclear weapon, but on the other they say they don’t ‘intend’ to do so. You say that now Mr. Ahmadinejad, but the actions of your country speak louder than your lying words. And let me guess, after the first nuclear weapon is made your answer will then be to finish the rest of your sentence, “It wasn’t our intention … it was Allah’s” …
“TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s president says his country isn’t afraid of making a nuclear weapon but doesn’t intend to do so.
Iranian state television on Thursday quoted President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying: “If we do want to make a bomb, we are not afraid of anybody.”
Iran has long insisted that its nuclear programs are peaceful and meant only to generate power for a future nuclear reactor network.
But the U.N. Security Council has passed four sets of sanctions against Iran for refusing to freeze activities that could be used in a weapons program.” Read more.
Watchdog Finds Evidence That Iran Worked on Nuclear Triggers – “The world’s global nuclear inspection agency, frustrated by Iran’s refusal to answer questions, revealed for the first time on Tuesday [May 24, 2011] that it possesses evidence that Tehran has conducted work on a highly sophisticated nuclear triggering technology that experts said could be used for only one purpose: setting off a nuclear weapon.” Read more.
‘A Victory for Freedom of Speech’: Dutch Populist Geert Wilders Acquitted of ‘Hate’ Speech
Finally, following the recommendation of the prosecution itself that Geert Wilders be found ‘Not Guilty’ on all counts, the judgment of the Dutch court falls in favor of common sense. This is a victory for free speech, a victory for truth, and a blow to Islamists and their sympathizers who wish to muzzle the voice of honest public discourse and take advantage of our democratic freedoms in the promotion of their own ideologies, and at the expense of our own. Though the war rages on, freedom has today won a battle …
By Gilbert Kreijger and Aaron Gray-Block – “(Reuters) – Dutch populist politician Geert Wilders was acquitted of inciting hatred of Muslims in a court ruling on Thursday that may strengthen his political influence and exacerbate tensions over immigration policy.
The case was seen by some as a test of free speech in a country which has a long tradition of tolerance and blunt talk, but where opposition to immigration, particularly from Muslim or predominantly Muslim countries, is on the rise.
Instantly recognizable by his mane of dyed blond hair, Wilders, 47, is one of the most outspoken critics of Islam and immigration in the Netherlands.
His Freedom Party is now the third-largest in parliament, a measure of support for its anti-immigrant stance, and is the minority government’s chief ally.” Read more.
Wilders: In Defense of ‘Hurtful’ Speech – “Yesterday was a beautiful day for freedom of speech in the Netherlands. An Amsterdam court acquitted me of all charges of hate speech after a legal ordeal that lasted almost two years. The Dutch people learned that political debate has not been stifled in their country. They learned they are still allowed to speak critically about Islam, and that resistance against Islamization is not a crime. I was brought to trial despite being an elected politician and the leader of the third-largest party in the Dutch parliament. I was not prosecuted for anything I did, but for what I said.” Read more.
Philippines: Fish Still Dying as Tons More Pulled Out of Taal Lake
“MANILA — Some 3.8 tons of dead milkfish (bangus) and tilapia have been recorded from 38 fish cages operated by 18 fish farmers in Barangay Leviste, Balakikong and Berinayan, all in Laurel, Batangas Thursday morning, the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) reported.
BFAR Director Asis Perez meanwhile expressed optimism that the reduction of fish mortality in Taal Lake would continue as a result of interventions undertaken by local government units, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Task Force Taal Lake.
On Wednesday, BFAR technical teams recorded low dissolved oxygen levels in Laurel, Agoncillo and San Nicolas ranging from 0.96 to 2.85 parts per million. The ideal level is 6.0 parts per million for the growing of bangus.” Read more.
Report: Hezbollah Preparing for War with Israel
“Lebanon’s Hezbollah is preparing for a possible war with Israel to relieve perceived Western pressure to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad, its guardian ally, sources close to the movement say.
The radical Shi’ite group is watching the unrest in neighboring Syria with alarm and is determined to prevent the West from exploiting popular protests to bring down Assad.
Hezbollah supported pro-democracy movements that toppled Western-backed leaders in Tunisia and Egypt, but officials say it will not stand idly by as international pressure mounts on Assad to yield to protesters.
It is committed to do whatever it takes politically to help deflect what it sees as a foreign campaign against Damascus, but it is also readying for a possible war with Israel if Assad is weakened.” Read more.
Iran actively helping Syria squash demonstrations– “A senior Israeli source says Iran is involved in the suppressing of the anti-regime demonstrations in Syria. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and the Al-Quds force, commanded by Gen. Qassem Suleimani, are operating throughout the country, the source says. The source told Haaretz there is clear information on Iran’s involvement in the crushing of the protests, as well as the participation of Hezbollah. Their role is not limited to shootings; Iran has also supplied equipment to the Syrian army, including sniper rifles and communications systems for disrupting the Internet in the country, the source said.” Read more.
Islam’s Persecution of Christians in Malaysia
By Jamie Glazov – “Frontpage Interview’s guest today is The Anti-Jihadist, a counter-jihad writer, activist and critic of Islam who resides in a majority Muslim country. He writes under a pseudonym for reasons that do not need to be explained. His work can also be found at Jihad Watch, Infidel Bloggers Alliance and Pedestrian Infidel.
FP: Welcome The Anti-Jihadist to Frontpage Interview.
I would like to talk to you today about the Muslim persecution of Christians in Malaysia. But first, tell us a bit about your background and how you arrived to being who you are.
The Anti-Jihadist: In order to protect my identity, I’d rather not get into too many specifics about my background, for reasons I hope you and your readers understand. Suffice it to say that I grew up in a middle class, educated family where the discussion of politics and other ‘sensitive’ topics was encouraged. I grew to appreciate and then embrace this intellectual sort of freedom.
As I grew older, I began to notice differences between what I heard the government say or what was taught in school, and what was really happening in the world, but I learned to keep such thoughts to myself in order to get along. Then 9-11 happened and it turned the world upside down, my own perception of it in particular. I wanted to be surprised that Muslims had carried out mass murder explicitly in the name of Islam, but I wasn’t. Another shock for me was when I found out that the Muslims — jihadists, Al Qaeda members and others — who planned the attacks in New York and Washington had had a big planned meeting right here in Kuala Lumpur (the capital and biggest city in Malaysia) in early 2000. And the conspiracy theories about 9-11, the increased appearance of anti-Semitic diatribes in Malaysian bookshops (one tome by Henry Ford is popular here) were things that I simply could not turn a blind eye to anymore.” Read more.
Hezbollah Cartoon Teaches Children to Throw Stones at Israelis and to Seek Death as Martyrs to Gain Paradise
Proverbs 21:6, “The getting of treasures by a lying tongue [is] a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.” (KJV)
“The enemies harm everyone, therefore the young ones are now crying ‘Allah Akbar!’ [Background shows the Dome of the Rock, a holy Islamic shrine in Jerusalem] You are [our people’s] purpose and concern, let your stone pour out blood. Your land is your honor and your mother, and worldly things only come after it. My book has turned into a stone. With it, I repel the treacherous. It is small like [the boy] but its effect is great. Purify yourself, pray and set out. With your blood the soil will be perfumed. Engrave your name on [Heaven’s] doors. I am at your service, on Al-Aqsa [Mosque]! I am at your service, oh Jerusalem! I may have missed a lesson, but my love for you is a lesson itself. Come out of every tunnel, window and door, join your stone to mine. The shooting of the evil [Israelis] doesn’t scare us. The dear [child] has fulfilled his desire, achieving the merit of Marytrdom. [The boy] who went to redeem his country is not considered dead.” Source.
Sudan: Bishop Fears Genocide of North Sudanese Christians by Islamists Once South Gains Independence

By Karen Peake – “The Bishop of Kadugli is calling upon Christians worldwide to pray and fast ahead of South Sudan’s secession next month.
Bishop Andudu Adam Elnail has warned of a possible ‘genocide’ in the Nuba Mountains region, where violence has broken out in recent weeks.
The region, home to many Christians, will remain under the control of Khartoum and the Muslim North when South Sudan gains its independence on July 9.
As Sudanese tanks and artillery move in, hundreds of thousands of Nuba are fleeing their homes and development agencies have withdrawn their staff.
UN officials and eyewitnesses escaping the bloodshed tell of elders being executed by the Sudanese Army and bombing campaigns that have destroyed churches and homes.” Read more.
Sudan Ethnic Cleansing Begins Again – “… less than a month before South Sudan officially separates from the Islamic Republic of Sudan and becomes Africa’s 54th nation, ethnic cleansing has begun again in the Nuba Mountains, now known by its Arab name ‘South Kordofan.’ Beginning on June 5, 2011, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) of the NCP and the Popular Defense Forces (PDF), an Islamic militia comprised of Misseriya Arabs known as the ‘Al Qaeda of Sudan,’ launched an attack, a war of extermination, in the Nuba Mountains. The attack began just two hours after the NCP signed a ceasefire agreement with northern representatives of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM).” Read more.
Muslim Reservist Detained Near Pentagon Last Week Linked to D.C. Military Building Shootings
Gosh, what are the chances? He really ought to try his hand in the state lottery …
By Mike Levine – “The case had apparently gone cold. But after several months of no progress, federal authorities have now zeroed in on a suspect in last year’s shootings at several military sites around the nation’s capital. Their suspect: the 22-year-old Marine reservist arrested Friday after causing a terror scare near the Pentagon.
Ballistics obtained at the suspect’s home have been linked to evidence found at the scenes of the 2010 shootings, including the Marine Corps Museum in Triangle, Va., a vacant Marine recruiting station in Chantilly, Va., and the Pentagon itself, Fox News has learned.
Authorities are now trying to track down a vehicle once owned by the suspect, Yonathan Melaku of Alexandria, Va., who has since sold the vehicle.
Melaku was arrested early Friday morning at Arlington National Cemetery when the site was closed. He was carrying a backpack with what authorities initially thought might be explosives, and they found a notebook containing words and phrases such as ‘Taliban,’ ‘Al Qaeda,’ ‘defeated coalition forces,’ and ‘mujahedeen.'” Read more.
Newfound Comet Will Swing By Earth in 2013, May be Visible to the Naked Eye for First and Only Time
“A newfound comet discovered by a telescope designed to hunt for dangerous asteroids will make its closest pass by Earth in 2013 and should be visible to the naked eye when it draws near, astronomers say.
Hawaii’s Pan-STARRS 1 telescope detected the comet, which is called C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS), on the night of June 5 and 6, and the discovery was confirmed by follow-up observations with a different instrument a day later. The comet will likely come within about 30 million miles (50 million kilometers) of the sun in February or March 2013 — about the same distance as the planet Mercury, researchers said.
During its closest approach to Earth in two years, comet C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) likely to be visible low in the western sky shortly after sunset, weather permitting. Skywatchers interested in seeing the newfound icy wanderer should look up then, because they may never get another chance to see it.
‘The comet has an orbit that is close to parabolic, meaning that this may be the first time it will ever come close to the sun, and that it may never return,’ said the University of Hawaii’s Richard Wainscoat in a statement. Wainscoat helped confirm the comet’s existence.” Read more.

North Dakota: Officials Order Mandatory Evacuation of 12,000 Residents Immediately as Flood Waters Rise
By David Bailey – “(Reuters) – The emergency evacuation of one-quarter of Minot, North Dakota, residents was moved up several hours as a quickly rising Souris River threatened to swamp flood defenses, a city spokesman said on Wednesday.
Minot officials had ordered a mandatory evacuation for up to 12,000 residents of the city, North Dakota’s fourth largest, by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, but rising river waters were expected to top some levees by late morning.
‘It’s imminent,’ Dean Lenertz, a Minot Fire Department captain and spokesman, said of the sounding of emergency sirens to start the evacuation.
‘We are trying to patch up as many holes as we can to give people as much time as we possibly can to get them out safely.’
A warning on the Minot city website said the National Guard had identified ‘several areas of concern’ in flood-threatened areas of the city.
‘It is imminent that the flood sirens will be sounding …People should gather the final items that they want to take and evacuate the evacuation zones.'” Read more.
