Worst Texas Drought in 44 Years Eroding Wheat, Beef Supply
“The worst Texas drought in 44 years is damaging the state’s wheat crop and forcing ranchers to reduce cattle herds, as rising demand for U.S. food sends grain and meat prices higher.
Texas, the biggest U.S. cattle producer and second-largest winter-wheat grower, got just 4.7 inches (12 centimeters) of rain on average in the five months through February, the least for the period since 1967, State Climatologist John Nielsen- Gammon said. More than half the wheat fields and pastures were rated in poor or very poor condition on March 20.
Dry conditions extending to Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado may cut crop yields in the U.S., the world’s largest exporter, as too much moisture threatens fields in North Dakota and in Canada. Wheat futures in Chicago are up 50 percent in the past year, after drought in Russia and floods in Australia hurt output and sent global food prices surging. Wholesale beef reached a record this week, and the U.S. cattle herd in January was the smallest since 1958.
‘We’re probably already seeing some damage, but in the next couple of weeks, we’ll surely go downhill major if we don’t get some rain,’ said David Cleavinger” Read more.
Egypt Air Wipes Isreal Off The Map
“Egypt Air, the largest airline in Egypt, has removed Israel from the map – literally. On its website, Ynet has learned, Jordan’s land reaches the Mediterranean Sea.
The airline’s subsidiary, Air Sinai, flies to Israel regularly, but customers seeking flights to Ben Gurion National Airport will have a hard time finding them. On the map are the names of the Mideast capitals – Amman, Beirut, and Damascus – but Israel is nowhere to be found.
Egypt Air is the first large airline to have omitted the state from its map of destinations. Other airlines based in Muslim countries, such as Turkish Airlines and Royal Jordanian, include Israel and Tel Aviv on its maps.
The omission is especially odd seeing as the company continues to fly to Israel four times a week. Cairo-Tel Aviv flights were temporarily halted following the recent uprising that overturned the government, but were then reinstated.
There has also been an increase in passengers on Air Sinai’s flights. According to the Airports Authority, the airline saw an increase of 27% in 2010 from the year previous.” Source.
6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Burma
“A powerful earthquake struck northeastern Burma on Thursday night, killing one woman and shaking buildings as far away as Bangkok. No tsunami was generated.
The quake hit in an area where Burma, Thailand and Laos meet, about 70 miles from Chiang Rai. The northern Thai city sustained minor damage, according to Thai television.
A woman in an area north of Chiang Rai, just two miles from the border, died when a brick wall collapsed on her, according to police Capt. Weerapon Samranjai.
“It was like somebody was running on the roof. Everybody was in a panic. They came out of their houses and wondered what happened,” said Maj. Gen. Mongkol Sampawapon, a police chief from another district near Chiang Rai.
There were no immediate reports of damage from the Myanmar side, a remote area where communications, even in the best of times, are difficult. The country’s military-controlled government also tightly controls information.
The 6.8-magnitude quake was just six miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. At that strength and depth, it said 600,000 people could feel shaking anywhere from strong to violent. It added that since buildings in the area are considered vulnerable, moderate to very heavy damage could be expected.
Buildings swayed in Bangkok, about 480 miles south of the epicenter.” Read more.

NBC Reports on New Oil Spill in Gulf, Fisherman Says He Was In It for 10 Hours
“Brian Williams: And now let’s bring it back here at the scene of last years’s huge environmental disaster in this country, well, it’s back in the news tonight — fresh signs of oil in the waters off Louisiana. The first reports started to surface along with a sheen on the water over the weekend, now there’s more evidence and a bigger response, and a search for the culprit …”
Black Smoke Coming from Fukushima Reactor No. 3 with Deadly MOX Fuel, Tokyo Fears Contamination
A neutron beam was observed at least 13 times, and now word that black smoke was coming out of Fukushima reactor no. 3 today. This is the reactor filled with MOX fuel. That means plutonium. It doesn’t look like this problem is going away any time soon.
“High levels of radiation have reached Tokyo following the accident at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant. People in the capital have been told not to drink tap water. The country’s struggle to resolve its nuclear crisis has again been stalled, with workers at the Fukushima plant evacuated after black smoke emerged from one of its reactors. RT’s Igor Ogorodnev is in the Japanese capital for us.”
H1N1 Outbreak Hits Venezuela
“(CNN) — An outbreak of the H1N1 virus, known commonly as the swine flu, has hit the Venezuelan Andean state of Merida, the country’s health minister said, the state-run AVN news agency reported.
More than 100 cases of H1N1 have been recorded in Venezuela as of Tuesday, Eugenia Sader said.
In Merida alone there are 56 cases which have tested positive for the virus, and special precautions have been put in place in that state, AVN reported.
Classes in Merida have been canceled for five days, and a ban has been placed on events at night clubs and other closed-in venues, the agency reported.” Read more.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ and the Rapture of the Church
By ICA
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52, “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
And there it is. Two of the — if not the — most popular “rapture” passages in the entire Bible. Yet when many Christians read about the timing of the “rapture” at the “last trump” they are either unaware, or because of an already preconceived assumption on this very subject, refuse to even consider if the “last trumpet” of 1 Corinthians 15:52 is a direct reference to the 7th and last trumpet that John describes in the 10th chapter of Revelation. But why? Admittedly, even I was not aware of the significance of Revelation 10 for many years, but am now more than convinced that we can corroborate through the context of text that this is indeed the last trumpet that the Apostle Paul wrote about to the church in Corinth.
For a moment, if you will, toss aside any preconceptions you may have on the timing of the rapture and approach the text as if it were for the first time. Approach it with the heart of a Berean so that together we may search the Scriptures. Read more…
‘Near-Genocide Conditions’ for Iraqi Christians, Archbishop Says
“DUNDALK, Ireland (CNS) — An Iraqi archbishop spoke of ‘near-genocide conditions’ for Christians in his country and said those fleeing violence were straining resources in other parts of the country…
‘We are living in a region which cannot decide if it is for democracy or Islamic law,’ he said March 16 at news conference sponsored by the Catholic charitable agency Aid to the Church in Need.
Archbishop Warda criticized ‘neighboring governments feeding insurgents with money and weapons to destabilize the Iraqi government’ and said the rest of world’s governments had ‘turned their backs on us, as if the human rights abuses and near-genocide conditions Iraqi Christians experience are temporary.’
Archbishop Warda said that since the U.S.-led occupation of his country began in 2003, more than 500 Christians had been killed in religious and politically motivated violence.
Between 2006 and 2010, 17 Iraqi priests and two bishops were kidnapped and beaten or tortured. One bishop, four priests and three subdeacons were killed.
‘In most cases, those responsible for the crimes stated they wanted Christians out of Iraq,’ the archbishop said.” Read more.
Two Christians Slain in Attack by Muslims Outside Church in Pakistan
“KARACHI, Pakistan, March 22 (CDN) — Two Christians were gunned down and two others are in a serious condition with bullet wounds after Muslim youths attacked them outside a church building in Hyderabad last night, witnesses said.
Residents of Hurr Camp, a colony of working-class Christians in Hyderabad in Sindh Province, were reportedly celebrating the 30th anniversary of their Salvation Army church when a group of Muslim youths gathered outside the building and started playing music loudly on their cell phones. They also started teasing Christian women as they arrived for the celebration, according to reports.
Christians Younis Masih, 47, Siddique Masih, 45, Jameel Masih, 22, and a 20-year-old identified as Waseem came out of the church building to stop the Muslim youths from teasing the Christian women, telling them to respect the sanctity of the church. A verbal clash ensued, after which the Muslim youths left, only to return with handguns.” Read more.
CAUGHT ON TAPE: Former SEIU Official Reveals Secret Plan To Destroy JP Morgan, Crash The Stock Market, And Redistribute Wealth In America
Listen to the full uncut audio and read the transcript here. Now that this has become public the American government needs to investigate and prosecute these people immediately to the fullest extent of the law. But then again, given some of Obama’s past comments and associations, I wouldn’t be surprised if even he and his administration wanted them to succeed.
“A former official of one of the country’s most-powerful unions, SEIU, has a secret plan to ‘destabilize’ the country.
The plan is designed to destroy JP Morgan, nuke the stock market, and weaken Wall Street’s grip on power, thus creating the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.
The former SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, spoke in a closed session at a Pace University forum last weekend.
The Blaze procured what appears to be a tape of Lerner’s remarks. Many Americans will undoubtely sympathize with and support them. Still, the ‘destabilization’ plan is startling in its specificity, especially coming so close on the heels of the financial crisis.
Lerner said that unions and community organizations are, for all intents and purposes, dead. The only way to achieve their goals, therefore–the redistribution of wealth and the return of ‘$17 trillion’ stolen from the middle class by Wall Street–is to ‘destabilize the country.’
Lerner’s plan is to organize a mass, coordinated ‘strike’ on mortgage, student loan, and local government debt payments–thus bringing the banks to the edge of insolvency and forcing them to renegotiate the terms of the loans. This destabilization and turmoil, Lerner hopes, will also crash the stock market, isolating the banking class and allowing for a transfer of power.” Read more.
Radiation Levels Rise in Tokyo Tap Water as New Evacuations Ordered at Nuke Plant
“A spike in radiation levels in Tokyo tap water spurred new fears about food safety Wednesday as rising black smoke forced another evacuation of workers trying to stabilize Japan’s radiation-leaking nuclear plant.
Radiation has seeped into vegetables, raw milk, the water supply and seawater since a magnitude-9 quake and killer tsunami crippled the Fukushima Dai-ichi power plant nearly two weeks ago. Broccoli was added to a list of tainted vegetables, and U.S. and Hong Kong officials announced a block on Japanese dairy and some produce from the region.
The crisis is emerging as the world’s most expensive natural disaster on record, likely to cost up to $309 billion, according to a new government estimate. The death toll continued to rise, with more than 9,400 bodies counted and more than 15,600 people listed as missing.” Read more.
Colorado Farmland Goes Dry as Suburbs Secure Water Supplies
“Colorado farmers still own more than 80 percent of water flowing in the state, but control is rapidly passing from them as growing suburbs move to secure supplies for the future.
The scramble is intensifying as aging farmers offer their valuable water rights to thirsty cities, drying up ag land so quickly that state overseers are worried about the life span of Colorado’s agricultural economy.
‘The status quo has been going to agriculture (interests) and buying and drying. That’s not good,’ said John Stulp, a cattle rancher and former state agriculture commissioner who is Gov. John Hickenlooper’s special policy adviser on water. ‘We need to do it in a smarter way.’
Since 1987, Colorado farmers and ranchers have sold at least 191,000 acre-feet of water to suburbs, according to a review of water transactional data. (That’s enough water to fill Chatfield Reservoir nine times— and enough to sustain 382,000 families of four for a year.)” Read more.
