Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And “The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse”

By ICA

Revelation 6:1, “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see…”

Recommended: See How The Book Of Revelation Foresaw Islamic Teachings

Were John’s apocalyptic snapshots and descriptions of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” in the Book of Revelation pointing to events that would only take place nearly 2000 years after the visions were first revealed? All too often, many of today’s Christian teachers and Bible prophecy experts have repeated the belief that the entirety of the Book of Revelation, with the exception of the first three chapters, are to be understood in futuristic terms only. I have done this myself in the past. Whether it be the Seven Seals or the Seven Trumpets or the Seven Bowls of wrath, everything contained therein and described by John from Revelation 4:1 onward must be treated as little more than a description of apocalyptic earth-shattering events that we, as Christians, will never witness taking place upon the world in which we live, events that can only begin to come to fruition after an imminent rapture has suddenly removed all followers of Christ from the face of the earth to deliver them from the impending wrath of God and the last-days Beast of Revelation. If we take the time to engage in a careful examination of the text, however, we may begin to see that some of the events often understood as yet to come, are events that are already taking place today.

An Overview Of History: The Islamic Beast Of Revelation – The Past And The Present

After careful study, I have come to the conclusion that, judging from the description of events and their sequence provided for us in Scripture, the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” described in the first four Seals of Revelation 6 are four separate stages of the last-days Beast empire upon the earth — the empire of Islam. Beginning with its birth and growth, to its effect upon those under its power and the effect it has had and will have upon God’s elect, the Seals provide us with a general overview of the last 1400 years until immediately after the tribulation, an appointed time whereby the world will then witness the complete destruction of the Islamic Beast at the Second Coming of Christ in power and glory.

To understand why, we must first begin by reading through Revelation 6-7 alongside Matthew 24, ascertaining specific parallels that solidify the placement of the Seven Seals in documented history, parallels that I am sure you will agree are quite eye opening when laid out in full. The following are those parallels between the Seals of Revelation chapters 6 and 7, and Matthew 24. Closer attention will be paid to specific details surrounding the sixth parallel itself:

Parallel 1: Conquest Through Deception and the Crowning of Mohammed

* Matthew 24:5 — Many will come in Christ’s name and deceive many.
* Revelation 6:2 — The 1st Seal – White Horse and rider with bow who is given a crown; went out conquering and to conquer.

Qur’an Sura 4:157, 171, “… they said in boast, ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary’ … but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them … of a surety they killed him not … O People of the Book [Christians]! Commit no excesses in your religion … Christ Jesus the son of Mary was no more than a messenger of Allah … Say not ‘Trinity’ : desist … for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: far exalted is He above having a son… ”

“We proclaim that we will conquer Rome, like Constantinople was conquered once, as it will be conquered again … We will rule the world, as has been said by the Prophet Muhammad.” – Former Jordanian Minister Ali Al-Faqir

In “The Best Biography of Prophet Mohammed”, Islamic scholars Grand Muhaddith Master Abdullah Ben Sadek, Anne Khadeijah Darwish and Ahmad Darwish write that, “In the Koran, Allah calls His Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, by many blessed names … In his sayings one finds many other names that were frequently used by his Companions and followers. These include names such as the: Chosen, Selected, Father of Kasim, the Beloved, Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds, Accepted, Intercessor, the Fearfully Aware, Amender, Outward, Guardian, Truthful, Confirmer, Guide, Master of the Children of Adam, Master of the Messengers, Leader of the Fearfully Aware, Leader of the Glorious Radiant Ones, Beloved of Allah, Friend of the Merciful, Possessor of the Visited Pool, Intercessor, the Praiseworthy Station, Possessor of Means, Excellence and the High Degree, Possessor of the Crown …” [1]. In the Islamic world, Mohammed is regarded as “the greatest of all the prophets and messengers of God and the crown of all creation[2].

14th century Book of Kings depicts Mohammed enthroned and surrounded by companions

Some may say that the crown of Revelation 6:2 must be literal and must be referring to an actual king who wears a literal, physical crown. However, if the horse and rider are obviously symbolic, it only stands to reason that the crown can also be symbolic as well. According to Islamic lecturer Ahmed Deedat, “Moses and Muhammad were Prophets as well as kings. A prophet means a man who receives Divine Revelation for the Guidance of Man and this Guidance he conveys to God’s creatures as received without any addition or deletion. A king is a person who has the power of life and death over his people. It is immaterial whether the person wears a [literal] crown or not, or whether he was ever addressed as king or monarch – if the man has the prerogative of inflicting capital punishment – He is a King[3].

Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim who converted to Christianity, once described Islam as a “Christian Cult,” a characterization of Islam to which I would agree wholeheartedly. Mohammed’s religion borrows bits and pieces from Judeo-Christian texts and teachings, but then twists and corrupts its Truth. As Christians, we know that Christ is God. He is the Prince of Peace. Mohammed, who received the kingly crown of “prophethood” before his conquests, claimed that his religion was the “Religion of Peace.” He acknowledged Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus, called Jesus the Christ, claimed to represent the true faith of the God of Abraham and claimed to believe in many Biblical prophets and figures such as Adam & Eve, Noah, Moses, David and others. But Mohammed’s teachings are blasphemous manipulations of both history and Scripture which promote a deviant and Antichristic theology (1 John 4:3) by denying Christ as God in the flesh and His sacrificial death on the cross. Much like Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses today, Mohammed’s teachings also deny the Triune nature of One God. The “prophet” of Islam claimed to come in the name of the God of Abraham to the Jews and in the name of Christ to the Christians, but Mohammed’s teachings deceived many then and are still deceiving many this very day.

Parallel 2: Islam’s Ceaseless Aggression Against The Non-Muslim World

* Matthew 24:6-7a — Wars and rumors of war, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.
* Revelation 6:3-4 — The 2nd Seal – Red Horse rider given a great sword, takes peace from the earth.

Qur’an Sura 9:5, “… when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters [non-Muslims] wherever ye find them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship [of Allah] and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free …”

“I have been sent just before the Hour (Judgment Day) with the sword, so that Allah will be worshipped alone …” (Mohammed, Hadith  al-Jaami’, 2831)

sword_prophetBehold the Sword of Islam: Jihad. The final marching orders the newly “crowned” prophet of Allah gave to his followers just before his death was for them to continually ambush, capture or kill non-Muslims until all submit to Islam. Osama Bin Laden, in a 2003 sermon, spoke of chapter 9 verse 5 of the Qur’an as the be-all and end-all of Islam, saying that Allah had “revealed the verse of the Sword to [Mohammed] his servant and messenger, in order to establish truth and abolish falsehood.” And this verse has become the greatest source of inspiration for mass-murder in the history of humanity. As Mideast historian and author Raymond Ibrahim writes in a 2012 article titled The Historical Reality of the Muslim Conquests:

“Few events of history are so well documented and attested to as are these conquests, which commenced soon after the death of the Muslim prophet Muhammad (632) and tapered off circa 750. Large swathes of the Old World — from the India in the east, to Spain in the west — were conquered and consolidated by the sword of Islam during this time, with more after (e.g., the Ottoman conquests)… According to the Muslim historical tradition, the majority of non-Muslim peoples of the Old World, not desiring to submit to Islam or its laws (Sharia), fought back, though most were eventually defeated and subsumed… Muslim historians often justify the actions of the early Islamic invaders by juxtaposing the jihad injunctions found in Islamic scriptures. It should also be noted that, to Muslims, the Islamic conquests are seen as acts of altruism: they are referred to as futuh, which literally means “openings” — that is, the countries conquered were “opened” for the light of Islam to enter and guide its infidel inhabitants. Thus to Muslims, there is nothing to regret or apologize for concerning the conquests; they are seen as for the good of those who were conquered (i.e., the ancestors of today’s Muslims).”

Dr. Bill Warner, founder and director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam (CSPI), likewise minces no words in exposing the true history of Islamic hostility.

Jihad destroyed a Christian Middle East and a Christian North Africa. Soon it was the fate of the Persian Zoroastrian and the Hindu to be the victims of jihad. The history of political Islam is the destruction of Christianity in the Middle East, Egypt, Turkey and North Africa. Half of Christianity was lost. Before Islam, North Africa was the southern part of Europe (part of the Roman Empire). Around 60 million Christians were slaughtered during the jihadic conquest… In Africa over 120 million Christians and animists have died over the last 1400 years of jihad. Approximately 270 million nonbelievers died over the last 1400 years for the glory of political Islam. These are the Tears of Jihad which are not taught in any school.

As long as Islam has existed, it has never known peace. The persecution of Jews and Christians, the atmosphere of “holy” wars waged around the globe and nations being forced to declare war in response to Islamic aggression, continues to this very day. Even now, Jihadists vow that non-Muslims “will never know peace” until they convert to Islam and worship none but Allah alone.

Parallel 3: The Fruit Of Islam’s Ceaseless Aggression — Hunger, Destitution, Upheaval , Strife, Inequality, Earthquakes …

* Matthew 24:7b-13 — Famines, pestilences and earthquakes, lawlessness abounds.
* Revelation 6:5-6 — The 3rd Seal – Black Horse with “scales/balances” bringing famine, burdens and “troublesome laws”.

Qur’an Sura 5:33, “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land [spreading non-Islamic beliefs] is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned …”

Qur’an Sura 24:2, “Let not compassion move you from carrying out [Allah’s] law …”

305886John describes the rider of the Black Horse in Revelation 6:5 as having “scales” or “balances” in his hands, employing the Greek word “zygos” which is also used metaphorically to refer to any sort of “burden” or “bondage” as well as the imposition of “troublesome laws.” Not only is inequality rampant in the Islamic world where Muslim men are considered superior to women and all non-Muslims in general, Islam is also a works-based system whereby Allah weighs the “good and bad deeds” of Muslims on a scale to determine who earns entry into Heaven and who does not. In every facet of daily life a Muslim’s conduct must be based upon a strict set of Islamic laws, called the Sharia, and anyone failing to follow Allah’s burdensome edicts must suffer draconian punishments, non-Musims included. But take a look at the Islamic world today. Is it exemplified by peace and justice and social harmony because of Allah’s laws? To the contrary, the Islamic world is ravaged by war, by deprivation, by desert and famine and starvation and pestilences, conditions that are true both physically and spiritually, both literally and figuratively.

Because of “Sharia lawlessness” the “Religion of Peace” is typified by widespread destruction and disparity, and any number of recent headlines bear this out all too well. In Sudan, for example, slavery is explicitly permitted and tens of thousands of Christians are held in bondage, taken as slaves and face starvation because of Sharia laws instituted by an Islamist government. In Mali, 4.6 million people are threatened with starvation following Islamist advances in the north. Starvation threatens more than 7 million citizens in Afghanistan as over 90% of the country’s agriculture is destroyed by drought. In Somalia, Islamist militants deprive 1.3 million people of food, clean water and health care after banning humanitarian aid. In Chad, children starve to death as Islamic “doctors” with “healing gifts from Allah” throw common sense to the wind. Islamists are killing aid workers in Pakistan for trying to save lives with “un-Islamic” polio vaccines. Nigeria faces famine because most of the farmers in the north are threatened by Islamist attacks seeking to impose Sharia Law upon all. As Islamists engage in an all-out war to oust Bashar Al-Assad and implement an Islamist state in Syria, a flesh-eating parasite dubbed the “Aleppo Boil” sweeps across the country while famine grips a desperate, war-weary population. And this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

The fruit of Islam and its laws have produced and will continue to produce the type of conditions that precipitate and perpetuate all sort of pestilences, all manner of plagues, any number of conflicts and hardships both inside and outside the Islamic world. It should be noted that the Greek word for “earthquakes” is “seismos” and also means “commotion” or “tempest”, as in Matthew 8:24 when “suddenly a great tempest [seismos] arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves.” We have seen and will continue to see “seismic events” both literally (geophysical and hydrological hazards such as earthquakes, hurricanes/typhoons, tornadoes, etc.) and figuratively (Islamic wars, acts of terrorism, insurrections, revolutions). Islam is a prime example of missing the mark of God — “hamartia” or “sin” — and the whole of creation groans and labors with birth pangs because of it (Romans 8:22).

Parallel 4: The ‘Man Of Lawlessness’, Destruction, Death

* Matthew 24:15-24 — Antichrist and the Abomination of Desolation.
* Revelation 6:7-8 — The 4th Seal – Pale (Green) Horse with Death and Hell.

Revelation 6:8, “And I looked, and behold a ‘chlōros’ horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the ‘thērion’ [beasts] of the earth.”

Qur’an Sura 9:111, “… They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed …”

Qur’an Sura 3:151, “… cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers …”

Qur’an: Sura 4:89, “… Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them …”

In an April, 2012 op-ed for Arutz Sheva, Italian journalist Giulio Meotti surmised that “the drive for Islamic purity is going to banish all traces of pre-Islamic pasts. When the Islamists will have prevailed, the Middle East will be completely green, the colour of Islam” [4]. In Revelation 6:8, John describes the “fourth horseman” as being “chlōros”, which translates literally as “green.” It is where we get the word “chlorophyll” from, a green pigment found in cyanobacteria and the chloroplasts of algae and plants. Green is the official color of Islam, and this green “fourth horseman” is described as having power over the fourth part of the earth. It is no coincidence that today Islam now has dominion over a fourth part of the earth. The “fourth horseman” has the power to “kill with sword.” Islam is spread through Jihad, the “Sword of Islam.” The “fourth horseman” also kills with hunger/famine. Where Islam rises, deprivation and Sharia lawlessness quickly follows, so much so that they would even prefer to see children starve to death than to see them receive life-saving aid from the “Christian West.” The “fourth horseman” kills with “death”, and the love of death and martyrdom for the cause of Allah permeates Islamic culture to the point where Islamists will even openly declare that they “love death more than you love life.” Lastly, the “fourth horseman” is described as killing with “the beasts of the earth.” The Greek word for beasts is “thērion” and is very likely being used metaphorically to refer to “savage”, “brutal” and “bestial” men — a perfect description of what we are witnessing today in the radical world of Islam’s death seekers. If Antichrist is a man, we can be certain that he is now on the verge of being revealed. If Antichrist is a system, it is already here.

Parallel 5: Continual, Intensifying Persecution of God’s Elect

* Matthew 24:9-13, 16-28 — Many delivered up to be afflicted and killed. Many fall away from the faith. Great Tribulation.
* Revelation 6:9-11 — The 5th Seal – Saints in heaven are told that fellow servants are to be killed.

Many fell away from the faith due to forced conversions and near-genocidal persecution of Jews and Christians at the hands of Muslims all throughout Islamic history. Andrew G. Bostom, author of The Legacy of Jihad and The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism, writes in a 2006 article for FrontPage Magazine that:

Forced conversions in Islamic history are not exceptional—they have been the norm, across three continents—Asia, Africa, and Europe—for over 13 centuries. Orders for conversion were decreed under all the early Islamic dynasties—Umayyads, Abbasids, Fatimids, and Mamluks. Additional extensive examples of forced conversion were recorded under both Seljuk and Ottoman Turkish rule (the latter until its collapse in the 20th century), the Shi’ite Safavid and Qajar dynasties of Persia/Iran, and during the jihad ravages on the Indian subcontinent, beginning with the early 11th century campaigns of Mahmud of Ghazni, and recurring under the Delhi Sultanate, and Moghul dynasty until the collapse of Muslim suzerainty in the 18th century following the British conquest of India.

Moreover, during jihad — even the jihad campaigns of the 20th century [i.e., the jihad genocide of the Armenians during World War I, the Moplah jihad in Southern India [1921], the jihad against the Assyrians of Iraq [early 1930s], the jihads against the Chinese of Indonesia and the Christian Ibo of southern Nigeria in the 1960s, and the jihad against the Christians and Animists of the southern Sudan from 1983 to 2001], the (dubious) concept of “no compulsion” … has always been meaningless. A consistent practice was to enslave populations taken from outside the boundaries of the “Dar al Islam”, where Islamic rule (and Law) prevailed. Inevitably fresh non-Muslim slaves, including children, were Islamized within a generation, their ethnic and linguistic origins erased.

It is my view that we are already within the 5th Seal, which encompasses the Great Tribulation of the elect spoken of by the prophet Daniel and John in Revelation, as well as Christ Himself. After a relative lull, Islamic persecution has literally exploded once again in the aftermath of 9/11 and the rise of the Arab Spring. The Prophet Daniel writes that this final Beast would be “dreadful and terrifying” and would “speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One” and “intend to make alterations in times and in law” (Daniel 7:7, 25). While the Muslim world seeks to rewrite history in a deceptive effort to buttress its own religious and political declarations and continually seeks to impose Sharia Law whenever and wherever it can, Iran prepares for a nuclear Armageddon and threatens to turn Jerusalem into a mass graveyard, calling for the death of all Jews worldwide and the annihilation of the state of Israel.  Hamas and Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood seek to join the fray. In Egypt, Christians are experiencing the worst persecution seen from Islamists in hundreds of years, with many now unable to buy or sell. Islamist organizations distribute leaflets calling for the killing of all Coptic Christians who refuse to convert to Islam. In Syria, Islamic rebels behead Christians in front of a cheering crowd and issue an ultimatum to either convert, leave, or die for their Christian faith. In Iraq, Muslim clerics issue a fatwa (religious decree) demanding that Christians either convert to Islam or be killed. Meanwhile, men run for their lives, women plead for God’s mercy, children scream in fear as Islamist attacks continue unabated in Iraq and elsewhere in the Islamic world in an effort to “cleanse” the land of Christians. Intense Christian persecution is “coursing through Muslim-majority nations from one end of the globe to the other.” From the Ivory Coast to Nigeria, from Sudan and Ethiopia, to Tunisia, Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Tanzania, the Maldives, Bangladesh and elsewhere, Islamic persecution is showing no sign of slowing down any time soon. And it is only going to get much worse. As one reporter wrote recently in The Telegraph, Christianity is “close to extinction” in the Middle East because of Islam.

The Islamic Beast Of Revelation – The Future

1 Corinthians 3:16, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

Hebrews 13:15, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

1 Corinthians 3:17, “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”

It is difficult to imagine this massive persecution of Christians, as horrendous as it has become, getting any worse than it already is today. While Christians are being killed and expelled from war-torn areas and locations heavily influenced by Al-Qaeda affiliated terror organizations and other like-minded groups, they are still somewhat tolerated as “dhimmis” (second-class citizens) under many Muslim governments. As long as Christians are “tolerated” they are still able to offer up the sacrifice of praise to YHWH today, providing they keep a low profile. Such relative “freedom”, however, hangs by a delicate thread. If a religious leader of great significance to the Islamic world were to suddenly stand against the Temple of God and demands that all non-Muslims convert to Islam and worship none other than the god of Islam, then any so-called “freedom” a Christian is granted today would come to an immediate and abrupt end. We’ve already seen local Muslim leaders issuing fatwas (religious decrees) in places like Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan demanding that Christians either convert to Islam, or die. But a similar fatwa from someone like the Mahdi or the Caliph declaring that the time had now come for all non-Muslims to worship none other than Allah or die would send immediate shockwaves across every corner of the Muslim world. And if such an abominable fatwa were decreed “then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21). Echoing this foreboding sentiment, the United Muslim Nations International — an Islamist organization seeking Muslim world domination and the re-establishment of the Islamic Caliphate — minces no words in its declaration that “Christianity should be destroyed and wiped from the face of the earth … Islamic Power has returned upon the face of the earth and the Revived Global Caliphate has set eyes on the West to once and for all rid the world of Christianity and there is nothing you can do about it” [5]. But there is One who can, and who will, do something about it …

Revelation 14:15,And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ‘Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.’”

The “Four Horsemen” have arisen and are now all riding together as one upon the earth. But what follows next will be a completely new pedigree of horse and class of Rider unlike any of the others before it, one that will see to it that the dominion of this Beast be “taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever” (Daniel 7:26), which now brings me to the 6th Parallel, broken down into individual parts:

Parallel 6a: Post-Tribulational Cosmic Signs Preceding the Second Coming of Christ

* Matthew 24:29, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 6:12-13, “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood, And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth …”

Parallel 6b: Judgement Comes – The Wicked are Gripped with Terror at the Power and Glory of the Coming Christ

* Matthew 24:30, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 6:15-17, “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains, And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

Parallel 6c: The Deliverance and Salvation of God’s Elect

* Matthew 24:31, “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 7:1-4,9,14 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God … Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel … After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands … these are the ones who come out of the great tribulation.”

He is coming soon ...

He is coming soon …

In writing “And after these things I saw” at the beginning of Revelation 7, John continues describing the post-tribulational signs he had witnessed at the 6th Seal a few verses earlier. Remember, although the text is inspired by the Spirit of God, chapter and verse divisions were added later by men. There is one single narrative flow between Revelation chapter 6 and chapter 7. Whereas the “first horseman” came upon a white horse claiming to come in Christ’s name and was given a “crown of kingship” during his efforts to deceive and oppress the saints, a “Fifth Horseman” will Himself be riding upon a white horse announcing deliverance, bringing justice, issuing judgements in favor of the saints of the Most High and giving the kingdom over to them (Daniel 7:22), for “He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God” (Revelation 19:11-13). It will be none other than the King of Kings Himself, our Savior and Deliverer, Yeshua (Jesus) Ha’Maschiach (the Christ).

Declaring The End From The Beginning And The Revelation Of Our Savior

Isaiah 46:10a, 13b, “Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established … And I will grant salvation in Zion, And My glory for Israel.”

Jamieson, Fausset & Brown write in their commentary of Revelation that “the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven vials, are not consecutive, but parallel, and ending in the same consummation. They present the unfolding of God’s plans for bringing about the grand end under three different aspects, mutually complementing each other” [6]. This Semitic writing style is something that we also find in the Genesis account regarding creation, which is why some skeptics claim that there are two different creation accounts when in fact there is only one. In Revelation, the Seals reveal to us snapshots and descriptions of the rise of the last-days Beast, the ungodliness of Islam’s sordid history, and its effect upon the earth and upon the Israel of God as it grows and strengthens, followed by the Revelation of Christ’s return in power and great glory to deliver His people and judge the wicked. Due to the Semitic style of writing employed by John, we see a “rewind” as it were after his description of all seven Seals to then shift focus on the judgements that take place during and immediately after the tribulation (called “trumpets”), and then a refocusing of his “camera” once again upon the end-result effect of each one of the seven judgements (called “vials” or “bowls”). The Seventh Seal, Seventh Trumpet and Seventh Vial/Bowl all end together right around the same time in the eschaton — at the Second Coming of Christ.

Revelation 13:4, “And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?’”

Many in the Church today have been taught that most of Revelation is yet to happen in the future, but the fact of the matter is that much of what John saw has already taken place and is in the process of taking place right now, today. Although the Islamic world has been in a relative “cocoon-like” state for much of the 20th century since the Islamic Caliphate received its mortal “head wound” in 1924, a new phase in its metamorphosis is now being revealed as it heals. But what is emerging, however, is far from beautiful. Though there are many who recognize that the Islamist ideology espoused by Al Qaeda and its ilk has metastasized since 9/11 throughout the Muslim world, the call to reality has unfortunately fallen largely on the deaf ears of Western leadership, both secular and Christian. Nations can fight against armies, against a foe that is well defined, but a religious ideology that recognizes no borders, no limits, no definition of peace apart from its own is an ideology that no nation will ever defeat, and an ideology that will continue to become more mainstream in the Islamic world each and every day until its fiery end at the epiphany of Christ Jesus in power and great glory:

2 Thessalonians 2:8, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming”

Habakkuk 3:3, 6, 11-13, “His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden… He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed… The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went, At the shining of Your glittering spear. You marched through the land in indignation; You trampled the nations in anger. You went forth for the salvation of Your people, For salvation with Your Anointed. You struck the head from the house of the wicked, By laying bare from foundation to neck.”

Romans 11:26, “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob'”

Daniel 7:27, “Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.”

@Muhammad Qasim. You are obviously totally convinced of your allah-god as being the True God of Creation…. That being the case, and under the premise that “there is no deity except allah” 3.18, and that there is “none to be worshipped but He” 2.163, I would strongly urge you to answer me this: Please tell me, exactly who (or what) is the voice of allah referring to IN YOUR KORAN when, beginning with Sura 2.23, and on and on and on, ad infinitum, the alleged voice of allah starts referring to “himself” in the PLURAL form???? I.e., “We”, “Us” “Our”, etc., etc., etc…. Wow! Seems to me that ‘allah’ is a bit confused, wouldn’t you say?????

Muhammad Qasim, “… from last 26+ years Allah and Muhammad s.a.w keep coming into my dreams, over 460+ times Allah comes in my dreams and 250+ times Mohammad s.a.w comes in my dreams …”

You are making Allah and Muhammad a co-equal partner (or, at the very least, making them partners, and this is something that is supposed to be expressly forbidden in Islam according to Qur’an Sura 17:111). But this is not surprising considering the fact that the Hadith and Qur’an often equate Allah and Muhammad. After all, those who obey and pledge allegiance to Muhammad are actually obeying and pledging allegiance to Allah (Hadith Bukhari 2996, Qur’an Sura 3:31, 4:80, 48:10).

You will claim that Muhammad is coming to you because Allah sends him. But what is really going on here?

The Qur’an Says That Satan Is A Deceiver Who Leads Astray:

Qur’an Sura 4:119-120, “[Satan says] ‘I will mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires … Satan’s promises are nothing but deceptions.”

Yet The Qur’an Says That Allah Is A Deceiver Who Leads Astray:

Qur’an Sura 3:54, 16:93, “… Allah is the best of the deceivers … He sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. …”

The Qur’an Says That Allah Masquerades As An Angel Of Light:

Qur’an Sura 24:35, “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth… Allah doth guide whom He will to His light…”

But The Bible Teaches That It Is Satan Who Is The Greatest Deceiver And Who Masquerades As An Angel Of Light:

Revelation 12:9, “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth …”

2 Corinthians 11:14-15, “… for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

The “prophet” of Islam claimed that he received a new message from the angel “Gabriel” (and he was so frightened that he wanted to commit suicide, according to Muslim sources). But the message he received is a message that is contrary to what Christ’s apostles preached. The Bible has a word or two about such messengers and their teachings:

Galatians 1:8, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!”

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

Muhammad Qasim, “… Muhammad S.A.W is the last Messenger of Allah and i am the Ummati of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W …”

The Bible does speak about “messengers” who would come after Christ. This would invariably have to include Islam’s messenger, Muhammad, but not in a way that you would like:

Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”

Qur’an Sura 4:171, “O followers of the Book! [Christians] … the Messiah, Isa [Jesus] son of Marium [Mary] is only a messenger of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His messengers, and say not, Three [Trinity]. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one Allah; far be It from His glory that He should have a son …”

1 John 2:22b, “… He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.”

Mr. Qasim, you have been deceived by the very thing you claim to reject: Lies. Islam sets itself up as the path for humanity to follow, as the bearer of truth, as the only path to Paradise, providing people pledge their allegiance to the “prophet” of Allah. By the way, the Bible has something to say about that, too:

Revelation 19:20, 20:10, “And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet… These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur… and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

1 John 4:1, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

For your consideration, please take a moment to read through the article below to learn a few reasons why.

This is an interesting viewpoint and one to be seriously researched through the lens of Scripture and Scripture alone. There will always be disagreements concerning pre, mid, post tribulation…rapture or no recapture…pre, mid, post or no millennium…young or old earth..and on and on. Of course I would pray for and desire being raptured BEFORE the tribulation and escape the intense persecution that is here and is to come… and that is what I have believed for many years. Having said that, I also understand that this interpretation could be incorrect…so I live a life as a watchman on the wall…as a good berean studying the Scriptures…I look to, at and for the signs that Christ Himself told us to watch for…and I pray for the courage, boldness and willingness to declare and speak the Truth even with a sword at my throat. The Lord says He will be with us at all times, even in the darkest of times…and who are we to fear? Not the one who kills the body. So dear brethren, we put on and keep on the armor of God (a watchful soldier sleeps in his armor) and not just wear it but understand each part of the armor and the part it plays in the command to go out and spread the gospel. He is coming, meanwhile we stand firm, never wavering, never doubting or fearing to the point of denying our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Amino, “There will be no Muslim Antichrist because the Pope is the False Prophet and the Roman Church the Harlot riding on the Antichristian Beast Empire which is installed right now before our very eyes”

Hi Amino. The Pope isn’t a prophet, nor does he claim to be one. Moreover, according to the Bible’s own definition of what an antichrist is, it is one who denies the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22) and does not confess that the promised Christ has come in the flesh (1 John 4:3; 2 John 1:7). The Catholic Church does not deny the Father and the Son nor does it refuse to confess that Christ has come in the flesh. But Islam does. The Pope and the Catholic Church, therefore, do not fit the Bible’s own definition of antichrist. The term “Antichrist” means both “against” and “in place of” Christ, and the Pope is not someone who is against, nor is he someone who stands in place of, Christ. Islam does both.

Amino, “You only must open your eyes.”

It would be wise to heed your own advice.

Hi ICA, sorry for responding so late. Your argument “The Catholic Church does not deny the Father and the Son nor does it refuse to confess that Christ has come in the flesh” shows that you are blinded by the Satanic move which has been made by the popes in recent history. You mustn’t take a look on the official creed but rather follow what’s going on behind the scenes. Besides their idolatry concerning Mary it has become quite clear that their master isn’t Jesus but Lucifer. Read the following article (incl. video) to get more insight: http://goo.gl/LkX11d. Since Franciscus tries to unite all denominations and religions (also Islam) under Vatican rulership to form a one world religion he therefore will have no problem to integrate Islam as well since they, too, deny that Jesus has come in the flesh, as you said already.

Concerning the pope being a prophet: Nobody sais that he is a real prophet but he fulfills the criteria of the False Prophet in Rev 13:11/19:20.

Concerning the definition of the Antichrist you are right: the Greek “anti” means both “against” and in place of”. So basically, there is no easy solution to get to know which one is right. Therefore, we must consider also other criteria like the fact that the Vatican already strengthens his efforts to become the owner of the Temple Mount. To see things clearly, we must put things together. It works quite well if you watch the recent development and the Roman-Jerusalem ties. It’s becoming clearer every day that it is the Pope who will sit inside the 3rd Tempel on the Temple Mount, built by Jewish-Zionist forces. The Islam already has the Dome of the rock and the al-aqusa-mosque on it. However, neither of it will function as third temple since it’s becoming quite obvious that the 3rd temple will be built within a short time.

Amino, “You mustn’t take a look on the official creed but rather follow what’s going on behind the scenes.”

Hi Amino, thank you for your reply, but with all due respect, I’d rather focus on the real world today and what Scripture tells us, not upon medieval conspiracy theories that are forced to twist the text. The Bible says that the Great Harlot originates/is associated with/is found in the desert. The Catholic Church is not, but Islam is. The Bible says that the Great Harlot is drunk with the blood of the saints at the time of the end. The Catholic Church is not, but Islam is. The Bible says that the Great Harlot is the most corrupted and destructive false religion that the world has ever seen. The Catholic Church teaches the essentials of the Christian faith, but Islam denies them and commands that anyone who believes them must die. The Great Harlot will make war against the Lamb of God. The Catholic Church does not wage war against Christ, but Islam does. The full counsel of Scripture is explicitly clear that every single nation that is destroyed at the Second Coming of Christ is today an Islamic nation, not Catholic.

Amino, “Since Franciscus tries to unite all denominations and religions (also Islam) under Vatican rulership to form a one world religion he therefore will have no problem to integrate Islam as well …”

There’s zero chance of this ever happening. Moreover, Islam’s goal is to destroy Rome and Christianity, not unite with it.

“The building of Bayt al-Maqdis (al-Aqsa in Jerusalem) will be followed by the destruction of Yathrib (Madinah), which will be followed by a fierce battle (great war), which will be followed by the conquest of Rome, which will be followed by the appearance of the Dajjal [Antichrist].” – The “prophet” of Islam,Translation of Sunan Abu-Dawud, Battles (Kitab Al-Malahim), Book 37, Number 4281.

Amino, “Concerning the pope being a prophet: Nobody sais that he is a real prophet but he fulfills the criteria of the False Prophet in Rev 13:11/19:20.”

No, the Pope does not fulfill the criteria at all. The Catholic church does not have a prophet that they worship and follow today. But Islam does.

Revelation 13:11, “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.”

Both Sunni and Shia Islam proclaim Islam to be a religion of peace, but they speak blasphemies against God and against His children on a daily basis in its denial of YHWH and His Christ and seek the total destruction of Christianity — both Catholics and non-Catholics. As flawed as many doctrines of the Roman Catholic church may be, it does not deny YHWH and His Christ nor does it seek the destruction of all followers of Christ around the world as Islam does.

Revelation 19:20, “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

Muslims have been, and continue to be, deceived by the teachings of Islam’s “miracle man” — the false prophet Mohammed — who performed so-called “miracles” for the cause of Islam and promises miraculous victories to Muslims before Judgment Day against the non-Muslim world in his “miracle book” and traditions of the Qur’an and Hadith. Muslims force non-Muslims to worship Allah and his false prophet on pain of death, killing and beheading those who refuse. Apart from Christ, no Muslim can ever find eternal life. Catholics do not force non-Catholics to worship Jesus on pain of death and do not behead anyone. Many self-identifying Catholics, like many self-identifying Protestants, are washed in the blood of the Lamb, not with the blood of the saints.

See the following items from Muslim sources regarding the “miracles” of Mohammed:

Amino, “Concerning the definition of the Antichrist you are right: the Greek ‘anti’ means both ‘against’ and ‘in place of’. So basically, there is no easy solution to get to know which one is right.”

Yes, there is. And it is given to us in Scripture:

1 John 2:22, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3, “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ [the begotten son of God] is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist …”

2 John 1:7, “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”

That certainly does not sound like the Pope in any way, shape or form.

Amino, “Therefore, we must consider also other criteria like the fact that the Vatican already strengthens his efforts to become the owner of the Temple Mount.”

Muslims already have control of the Temple Mount, and will never cede control to anyone, particularly to a Christian leader they have vowed to destroy for the cause of Allah. It would be against Islamic teachings to allow anyone other than an Islamic authority to control any location held by or governed by Muslims.

Amino, “It works quite well if you watch the recent development and the Roman-Jerusalem ties. It’s becoming clearer every day that it is the Pope who will sit inside the 3rd Tempel on the Temple Mount, built by Jewish-Zionist forces… it’s becoming quite obvious that the 3rd temple will be built within a short time.”

In all likelihood, there will be no physical “third temple” built before the Second Coming of Christ. There would be a global war with Muslims against the rest of the world if that were attempted.

The Third Temple is already here. It’s called the Church. This is how the temple today is defined for us in the New Testament. In fact, each and every single time the Apostle Paul speaks about the temple of God and uses the Greek word “naos” (G3485) in Scripture he is referring to believers both individually and collectively. He is referring to the Church:

1 Corinthians 3:16, “Do you not know that you are the temple [naos] of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

1 Corinthians 3:17, “If anyone defiles the temple [naos] of God, God will destroy him. For the temple [naos] of God is holy, which temple you are.

1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple [naos] of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

2 Corinthians 6:16, “And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple [naos] of the living God …”

Ephesians 2:19-22, “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple [naos] in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

Even Peter and Timothy both concur that the Church is God’s temple:

1 Peter 2:4-5, “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

1 Timothy 3:15, “… I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

Every time Paul refers to the temple as the Church he uses the word “naos” (G3485) and always calls it the temple of God or the temple of the Holy Spirit or an equivalent expression. In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Paul again refers to the temple of God (“naos” ) which, as in each and every other usage of the expression, would again be referring to the Church as it always had before, not a physical temple. But some Christians insist that in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Paul suddenly changes what he consistently referred to in previous epistles when speaking about the temple of God. If Paul spoke of the Church each and every time he wrote about the temple of God before, however, then it only stands to reason that he was again referring to the Church when writing about the temple of God in his letter to the believers in Thessalonica. We must interpret 2 Thessalonians 2:4 in light of Scripture, not in light of a flawed doctrine. We must force our understanding to conform to Scripture, not force Scripture to conform to our understanding:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in [or against per the Greek] the temple [naos] of God, showing himself that he is God.”

The only other times Paul spoke about a physical temple were in 1 Corinthians 9:13, Acts 25:8 and Acts 17:24. In both 1 Corinthians 9:13 and Acts 25:8 he uses the word “hieron” (G2411) specifically to refer to the physical temple in Jerusalem, not “naos.” In Acts 17:24, however, he uses the word “naos” to refer to physical temples in general, however his entire point was that it was no longer a physical temple in which God dwells. Why? Because the Church was now that temple. In these instances where Paul spoke about a physical temple he never referred to it as “the temple of God” or an equivalent expression.

Acts 17:24, “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

Now note the following very carefully: According to the words of the Apostle Paul in Acts 17:24, a physical temple today would be little more than an empty building, void of the presence of God. Christ knew this as well, suggesting that Jesus would in no way have been referring to a physical temple as the “holy place” in Matthew 24:15 when referring to the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel, nor would Paul have depicted an empty rebuilt temple as being the “temple of God” in 2 Thessalonians 2:4. A building absent of God is just another building. But the “holy temple” that is the Church in which God dwells, however, is a whole other matter.

Hope this helps! God bless …

ICA, may I say that you sound a bit too self-confident. Just let’s see how I can help you.

Firstly, if you declare that we shouldn’t refer to conspiracies, just let’s stop our discussion here because it doesn’t make sense. The fall of man was a conspiracy, the Mark of the Beast will be a conspiracy. Even the bible knows that there are conspiracies, it is even mentioned literally at some points. You also can see with your own eyes that we are living in a world full of conspiracies of which 9/11 is probably the most prominent one. You have all the evidence you need on Youtube. If you believe the ‘official’ version you surely have no reliable senses since the ground under ground zero was melted (I have the shot) although the towers were allegedly brought down by aviation gas – besides the fact that fuel never ever has melted steel and antennas cannot be pulverized to dust just because the building below them has collapsed. But lets turn to your points…

You mention Revelation 19:20, “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, […] These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.” Let me ask you one thing: How can Mohammed be cast alive into the lake of fire although he is dead since long and there is no resurrection until the second coming of Jesus Christ? The bible must be taken literally, else you will be the next victim of your own misunderstanding. If Mohammed is the false prophet he therefore cannot be cast alive into the lake of fire, end of story. I even doubt that he has ever lived because it’s quite obvious that Islam was created by some Satanic agents who screwed up scripture and created one of the most strange books, called Quran. It’s a mix of biblical and Talmudian elements with some features which are taken from the period when monasteries were founded everywhere (6th century) and the rule of Benedict for the first time established kind of monasterian culture in Europe. The habit of monks to pray according to a fixed schedule fits perfect to the Islamic pattern to pray five times a day and likewise the burqa is just another garment for women similar to that of nuns in a nunnery. The Catholic style elements are obvious and their similarity with the Islamic world is striking.

Concerning the Third Temple I have read your arguments but I cannot agree: “In all likelihood, there will be no physical “third temple” built before the Second Coming of Christ.” Unfortunately you are not up-to-date as far as your news is concerned. Your statement will soon be proven to be utterly wrong. If you follow the news you may have noticed that the construction of the Third Temple is imminent. The Jewish people are right now looking for the read heifer http://goo.gl/bb9Wc2 so what else do you need to realize that there will be built another Third Temple right in front of our eyes? Here is another announcement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VGVkiKVfSw but in fact there are a hundred more videos on YT. You cannot miss them.

On that behalf you mention 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple [naos] of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” But that doesn’t fit in this context because it doesn’t fit to the THIRD Temple. It is clearly mentioned in Mt 24:15: “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand […]” Jesus makes it quite clear that we will see standing some person it in the the holy PLACE. The reference is clear. There is no room for interpretation. This cannot be a reference to the spiritual temple of the Holy Spirit which is our body.

Concerning the papacy your rhetoric sounds good but it’s just black and white and doesn’t fit either. ICA: “The Bible says that the Great Harlot is drunk with the blood of the saints at the time of the end. The Catholic Church is not (how can you state that – this is unbelievable), but Islam is.” May I say that this is an offensive statement. Millions of believers have lost their lives during the inquisition and by other means through persecution committed by the Catholic Church. You just wipe them away as if it were nothing. This is a lame rhetoric and your attitude doesn’t do justice to millions of believers tortured and murdered by Jesuit (or Catholic) believers across hundreds of years:

      http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/vatican/esp_vatican29.htm

      http://www.truthbeknown.com/victims.htm

ICA: “Also see the following articles:”

Thanks for the links but I think you underestimate the Vatican. As I mentioned beforehand, Islam is created by some Satanic agents and their masterpiece Quran carries the thumbprint of Satanic people who knew right well what’s written in the bible as well as in the Talmud. The Quran is the perfect guide to mislead the whole world because it’s screwed up in every aspect and just adds some advice to it to persecute and slaughter people. It surely was inspired by demonic powers which knew that this book once will be the basis for the persecution and murdering of millions of Christian believers as it is stated in Rev 20:4:

“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

Last point. ICA: “As flawed as many doctrines of the Roman Catholic church may be, it does not deny YHWH and His Christ nor does it seek the destruction of all followers of Christ around the world as Islam does.”

Well, time will show whether I simply overestimated the Vatican but I am sure I didn’t. If you would look behind the scenes you’d realize that what you consider to be an overtake of nations by the Muslim world is mainly an American intervention steered by so called ISIS or Al Qaeda forces which are founded and coordinated by CIA and Mossad. The evidence has been produced already. Muslim nations do not have a strong economy because it is only based on oil. It’s nothing compared to the economy of the Vatican and its worldwide connections. Once the US cuts short its subsidies for ISIS this fraudulent terror movement will collapse within a short time. Muslims in general do not have the capability to organize a worldwide deception network. They are lazy and unproductive – which is also due to their religious committment. This has already been stated clearly even by some Imams criticising their own fellowmen.

I could add another point to be false which is “The Catholic Church does not wage war against Christ, but Islam does.” but I cannot give further examples because for today it’s enough and I would suppose it is a well known fact that it were Christian people like the Waldensian or Bohemian people who were persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church. This is just a fact.

I hope you understand at least that your argumention concerning the Catholic Church isn’t appropriate. History shows that some of your arguments concerning Catholic atrocities do not stand up to the reality of our history. Hopefully, you can agree.

      God bless.

Amino, “ICA, may I say that you sound a bit too self-confident.”

Hi Amino, I am confident in what the Book of Revelation is describing, and it is certainly not describing an internal feud between separate Christian denominations or two branches of Christianity.

Amino, “if you declare that we shouldn’t refer to conspiracies, just let’s stop our discussion here because it doesn’t make sense… we are living in a world full of conspiracies of which 9/11 is probably the most prominent one… If you believe the ‘official’ version you surely have no reliable senses since the ground under ground zero was melted (I have the shot) although the towers were allegedly brought down by aviation gas – besides the fact that fuel never ever has melted steel and antennas cannot be pulverized to dust just because the building below them has collapsed.”

Don’t take this the wrong way, but this is evidence of how gullible and naive (and mislead) many people can be today, so it’s no surprise if some also see an evil Vatican and satanic Pope behind every page of Revelation. The claims of 911 conspiracy theories have been debunked numerous times. Here are a couple of examples:

Popular Mechanics: Debunking the 9/11 Myths: Special Report – The World Trade Center

    Debunking 9/11 Conspiracy Theories

Amino, “Let me ask you one thing: How can Mohammed be cast alive into the lake of fire although he is dead since long and there is no resurrection until the second coming of Jesus Christ?”

If the Church of God is the “Body of Christ” then it stands to reason that Satan’s counterfeit of the Church — the Ummah of Allah — is the “Body of Antichrist” that will be cast into the lake of fire. The Prophet Daniel saw what would happen to this Beast, writing, “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame” (7:11). Islam and its false prophet Mohammed cannot be separated. They are inextricably linked for all time. Without the “prophet” Mohammed there is no Islam, and without Islam there is no Mohammed the “prophet.” Many Muslims even speak about their false prophet in the present tense today (Case in point: How can Islamists in the Maghreb claim that “the Hand of the Prophet will help us slay all foreign journalists in Mali” when Mohammed is dead and buried?). When the Beast (Islam) is cast alive into the lake of fire, it seems to me that everything about it, including its false “prophet” who wrought deceptive, false miracles before it, will be cast into the lake of fire as well. Remember, if John in Revelation 1:7 writes that “Behold, He [Jesus] is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him” then how can that be if those who pierced Him are physically dead when He returns? Though Mohammed is physically dead, his soul is very much alive and the false prophet Mohammed — perhaps all lost souls throughout history — will be permitted to witness the return of Christ in power and glory to destroy the very Beast that Mohammed himself created. The Ummah and its false prophet will indeed all be “cast alive” into the lake of fire and together they will experience the torments of an eternal hell.

Amino, “Concerning the Third Temple I have read your arguments but I cannot agree … If you follow the news you may have noticed that the construction of the Third Temple is imminent… It is clearly mentioned in Mt 24:15: ‘So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand […]’ Jesus makes it quite clear that we will see standing some person it in the the holy PLACE. The reference is clear. There is no room for interpretation. This cannot be a reference to the spiritual temple of the Holy Spirit which is our body.”

According to the Apostle Paul, even if the Jews were to build something it would mean absolutely nothing. Per the New Testament, God no longer dwells in temples made by human hands. As such, a physical temple can no longer be called the “temple of God” that Paul is describing, nor would an empty physical temple be the “holy” place that Jesus described. The only temple that is of God today and that is holy is the Church.

Daniel’s prophecies often spoke about the last days leading up to the Second Coming of Christ. The New Testament is clear that the “temple of God” is the Church and that we, as believers, now offer up the sacrifice of praise (cf. Romans 12:1; Hebrews 13:5; 1 Peter 2:5). Even if the prophet Daniel himself believed the prophecies he received of the end times somehow referred to a physical temple would not change this reality. The revelation that the Church would become the temple of God was progressive and prophets were evidently not always granted a full understanding of the prophecies they were given, which is quite apparent in Daniel 12 itself:

Daniel 12:8-10, “Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, ‘My lord, what shall be the end of these things?’ And he said, ‘Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.’”

Though Daniel did not understand, he was faithful in recording the prophecies he was instructed to write down. Not knowing that the temple of God would one day be the people of God would have been bewildering even to Daniel if he had himself assumed that it was a physical temple that would be defiled during the time of the end. This could very well have been one of the reasons why Daniel did not understand all that he was receiving and may have been why Jesus said “let the reader understand” in Matthew 24:15 — because Daniel did not:

Matthew 24:15, “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand–”

Ephesians 2:19-22, “… you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

What Jesus and Paul referred to was therefore not an unholy physical temple, but the holy temple of God that is the Church.

Amino, “Millions of believers have lost their lives during the inquisition and by other means through persecution committed by the Catholic Church.”

As American Thinker writer Mike Konrad recently said, “When one thinks of mass murder, Hitler comes to mind. If not Hitler, then Tojo, Stalin, or Mao. Credit is given to the 20th-century totalitarians as the worst species of tyranny to have ever arisen. However, the alarming truth is that Islam has killed more than any of these, and may surpass all of them combined in numbers and cruelty. The enormity of the slaughters of the ‘religion of peace’ are so far beyond comprehension that even honest historians overlook the scale. When one looks beyond our myopic focus, Islam is the greatest killing machine in the history of mankind, bar none.” (http://wp.me/p1qlPa-6sH). In Revelation 17, John’s focus is the “mother [singular] of all harlots.” In Middle Eastern terminology, the usage of such an expression denotes something that is the largest, or greatest, or foremost in significance. There is nothing else like it. How could the Catholic Church, in your view, be the “Mother of Harlots” if Muslims have murdered (and are murdering) many more Christian believers than the Catholic church ever has?

Amino, “The Quran is the perfect guide to mislead the whole world because it’s screwed up in every aspect and just adds some advice to it to persecute and slaughter people. It surely was inspired by demonic powers which knew that this book once will be the basis for the persecution and murdering of millions of Christian believers as it is stated in Rev 20:4”

If you agree that Islam is referred to in Revelation 20:4 and is relates to the Beast, then why do you cling to the idea that the rest of Revelation is somehow referring to the Catholic church? That is a very inconsistent view to take.

Amino, “Last point. ICA: ‘As flawed as many doctrines of the Roman Catholic church may be, it does not deny YHWH and His Christ nor does it seek the destruction of all followers of Christ around the world as Islam does.’ Well, time will show whether I simply overestimated the Vatican but I am sure I didn’t.”

Yes my friend, you are certainly overestimating the Vatican. According to TROP, more people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. 19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the last 65 years. Not Catholic hijackers. As of today, there have been well over 26,000 documented acts of Islamic terrorism committed in the name of “Allah” since 9/11/2001. How many documented acts of Catholic terrorism have been committed since then? Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. Not Catholic terrorists. Approximately 270 million non-Muslims were slaughtered over the last 1400 years for the deity of Islam and the deaths continue. Moreover, in 2007 when Islam and Judaism’s holiest holidays overlapped for 10 days, Muslims racked up 397 dead bodies in 94 terror attacks across 10 countries during this time while Jews worked on their 159th Nobel Prize.

Amino, “I hope you understand at least that your argumention concerning the Catholic Church isn’t appropriate. History shows that some of your arguments concerning Catholic atrocities do not stand up to the reality of our history.”

We need to look at what is happening against Christians today in light of Scripture, but imho those who believe in a Roman Catholic beast/antichrist/false prophet are living in a past that is hundreds of years old and marooned by spurious notions that have little to do with the real world in which we live today. Everyone is free to believe as they wish, but in light of Scripture and the times were are living in, the foundations of those RCC ideas are crumbling more every day.

    6. islam insult god holy temple by building al aqsa mosque

10 horns represent 10 islamic leaders, from it small horn will arise (muawiyah) will subdue 3 horns. after death of mohamed, abu bakar become first caliph next caliph is umar both father in law, 3rd caliph is utman 4th is ali both are son in law so all 4 are close related to mohamed. problem arise when utman replaced by ali, muawiyah whos blood related to utman but not to ali refuse and rebel. after several major defeat ali appointed his son hasan as 5th caliph but muawiyah bring his troops and ask hasan to surrender the title. hasan brother husein angry and said muawiyah claimed was unjust, muawiyah send troops and kill husein in karbala and that marked confilict between sunni and shiah. 3 subdue horns are ali, hasan and husein….the beast wounded but heal, muawiyah establish umayah caliphate which controlled from spain to persian and built al agsa mosque in jerusalem.

Islam *is* an apostate “Christian church” that turns against genuine Christians. Muslims call themselves the Ummah, which refers to the people or community or congregation, very similar to what we call the “Ekklesia.” Muslims acknowledge Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus, they call Jesus the Messiah, they claim to be the true faith of the God of Abraham and claim to believe in the prophets and figures such as Adam & Even, Noah, Moses and others. But the Qur’an is a corrupted version of the Bible where history is manipulated to promote a deviant theology. Like Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses, Islam has also changed the very nature of God and of Christ. Islam is an apostate form of Christianity. It is a “Christian cult.”

A person who apostatizes is someone who once had a faith, but has since left that faith for another. I don’t see that with Islam, since it never believed historical, essential tenets of the Christian faith.

I agree there are similarities in type, as you have mentioned a few…but can one really call Islam “apostate” if it never was Christian to begin with? The ‘whore’ of Revelation commits spiritual adultery. On the typical definition of adultery (unfaithfulness to a spouse), one has to be married in order for adultery to occur. So, when was Islam ever married to Jesus?

Islam is an apostate form of Christianity, not in the sense that it was once a genuine branch of Christianity, but in the sense that it is a complete defection from it. The root of Islam stems from true Christian teachings, but Islam is a forsaking of that truth and is an utter perversion of it (cf. Galatians 1:5-9). Daniel 11:37-38 reveals that a Last Days “Antichrist” will not regard “the God of his fathers” but instead another god. This is what Islam is doing.

infidelsrising, “On the typical definition of adultery (unfaithfulness to a spouse), one has to be married in order for adultery to occur. So, when was Islam ever married to Jesus?”

I don’t believe this is what the text is conveying. John uses Old Testament language in the Book of Revelation, and in the Old Testament the Hebrew word for “fornication” or “adultery” was often used figuratively in the context of idolatry as well as being unfaithful to God. She is called a “harlot” or “prostitute” because she is prostituting/seducing/deceiving the world with her corrupt religion and causing many to be unfaithful to God (cf. Revelation 2:14 and 2:20).

Revelation 17:2, “With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”

One has to be in it to defect from it. Islam never held to any historical Christian tenets, and has been making that fact clear for the last 1400 years. Again, the ‘whore’ of Revelation commits spiritual adultery. On the typical definition of adultery (unfaithfulness to a spouse), one has to be married in order for adultery to occur. So, when was Islam ever married to Jesus?

Ah, I see what you’re getting at. Let me ask you, where do we read in the text that the “whore of Babylon” was ever married to Jesus? This is being falsely assumed and we shouldn’t read into the text more than what the text allows. The Greek word for “adultery” is “moicheuo” and not once does John ever write in Revelation that this is what the whore of Babylon is doing. Rather, John tells us that she is committing “porneia” with the kings of the earth. She is guilty of “prostituting” herself and of “sexual immorality” — but not adultery in the sense you’re referring to.

Alright. I was mistaken on the whore committing adulteiy. You’re right. She/it commits fornication. I’ve run across some new information on a competing hypothesis. I’m just testing against what is already a strong case for the Islamic view. I personally know of some weaknesses in the ‘whore being the church’ model, but it also has some strengths.

infidelsrising, “A person who apostatizes is someone who once had a faith, but has since left that faith for another. I don’t see that with Islam … One has to be in it to defect from it.”

What about the forced conversions of Christians all throughout Islamic history and the descendants of those converts? This has been the norm for 13 centuries across Asia, Africa and Europe. The Middle East and north Africa was Christian before Islam came. Many died for their faith, but many were forcibly converted to Islam as well. Islam is now the largest “Christian cult” on the planet.

For your consideration: How the Islamic World was Forged: An Exercise in Common Sense which answers “What made non-Muslims convert to Islam, leading to the creation of the Islamic world?” Quote:

“… Which leads to one of Islam’s most bitterest of ironies: a great many of today’s Christians, especially those in the Arab world, are being persecuted by Muslims whose own ancestors were persecuted Christians who converted to Islam to end their own suffering. In other words, Muslim descendants of persecuted Christians are today persecuting their Christian cousins—and thus perpetuating the cycle that made them Muslim in the first the place.”

As you said, she is not an adulteress, but a fornicator…an illegitimate wife, which would fit the Islamic model as you described above. I wouldn’t consider Islam a ‘Christian cult’….but more of a Muhammadan personality cult. Still, the Rev 17 ‘woman’ is best explained by Islam. I’m just testing this idea against another hypothesis, that the ‘woman’ may be an apostate Christian church that turns against the few genuine Christian purists. In my commentary on 2 Thessalonians 1-11, an alternative hypothesis for the ‘man of sin’ is an Islamized form of Christianity.

Though Rev 17 supports the woman being Islam, Rev 18 can be easily interpreted to be an apostate Christian church.

(Rev 18:23) and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.

The real Jesus of the bible and the gospel has never had a significant effect on Muslim majority countries, so one cannot realistically say that the ‘light of the lamp’ (figurative of the church, or possibly, the gospel) ever really shined in Islam or Muslim majority nations. Additionally, the ‘voice of the bridegroom (Jesus) and the bride (the true church) has always been silenced in Islam, so one cannot say that Jesus and the church were ever heard so as to be later silenced.

Next, we see the reference to merchants linked to ‘sorcery’. Merchants and merchandizing is speaking of false teachings from within the church, per 2 Pet 2:3. This is told in Rev 18:11-12, where there is a great emphasis on merchandise – spiritual deception.

In Rev 18:23, we see that ‘all nations’ were deceived by the woman’s sorcery, but one cannot reasonably conclude that (at least at the present time) all nations have been deceived by Islam.

(Rev 18:24) “And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.”

This cannot be speaking of Islam, since (obviously) no Muslim has killed any of the OT prophets, but we know that history records millions of ‘saints’ (genuine believers) being killed by Muslims. The part “all who have been slain on the earth’ seems to widen this group from just prophets and saints to other people. I concede that this could include non-Christians who have been killed by Muslims, but this does not resolve the part about prophets. In some contexts, ‘prophets’, if referring to someone in the NT, would have been the apostles, who were all (except John) killed for their faith….but by non-Muslims. This verse is also problematic for the ‘apostate Christian’ view.

infidelsrising, “Rev 18 [verse 23] can be easily interpreted to be an apostate Christian church.”

I don’t see it that way, but I do see two possibilities (I’ll posit just one for the sake of brevity). We see similar judgment language in Jeremiah 25:10. The easiest and most straightforward way to understand Revelation 18:23 is that it is simply reminding us that it’ll no longer be business as usual the day the “whore of Babylon” is destroyed at Christ’s coming in judgment. Jesus even said so Himself, giving a forebodingly similar description of His Second Coming:

Luke 17:27, 30, “They ate, they drank, they [bridegrooms] married wives, they [brides] were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all… Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

Revelation 18:21-23, 19:11-13, “Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: ‘With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again… The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again‘ … I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True … He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.”

infidelsrising, “The real Jesus of the bible and the gospel has never had a significant effect on Muslim majority countries, so one cannot realistically say that the ‘light of the lamp’ (figurative of the church, or possibly, the gospel) ever really shined in Islam or Muslim majority nations.”

Islam promotes itself and its deity exactly the way we read in Revelation 18:23, like a light from a lamp:

Qur’an 24:35, “Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of His light is as a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, (and) the glass is as it were a brightly shining star … Allah guides to His light whom He pleases …”

According to Al-Islam.org, “Now why has the Light of [Allah] been compared to a lamp, despite it being an object designed by man, and moreover, its light can only illuminate a very limited area – while the light of the sun illuminates and shines over a large expanse of the earth? … If a person wants to travel a certain distance in pitch darkness, he must first procure a lamp so that he can illuminate the path ahead of him and through the aid of the light he may not lose his way and thus reach his destination safely. It would be insensible and ill-advised to set off on a journey in total darkness …”.

But the day Babylon is cast down is the day they see their “light” extinguished, forever. Also see Proverbs 6:23

Isaiah 47:5, “Sit in silence, go into darkness, queen city of the Babylonians; no more will you be called queen of kingdoms.”

Another consideration, according to Scripture, is the fact that the multitude of people who comprise the “whore of Babylon” are people who are actually worshipping Satan (Revelation 13:4). Satan’s name is “Heylel” (Lucifer) which means “light bearer” (Isaiah 14:12). The Arabic equivalent of Satan’s name is “hilal” — which means “crescent moon.” Check out its usage in relation to Babylon.

infidelsrising, “In Rev 18:23, we see that ‘all nations’ were deceived by the woman’s sorcery, but one cannot reasonably conclude that (at least at the present time) all nations have been deceived by Islam.”

I view “sorcery” in terms of the deceptions and seductions of her idolatry (cf. Revelation 9:20-21). Webster defines “idolatry” as “excessive devotion to or reverence for some person or thing.” And the nations, to their own detriment, are bending over backwards for every perpetually offended and “victimized” Kaaba-worshiping Mohammed devotee that raises their hand, cringing any time someone dares to suggest that Islam might have something to do with Islamic terror. The nations are being deceived into believing that welcoming Muslim immigrants and regurgitating the “Religion of Peace” nonsense that Muslim clerics in the West produce en mass for a Western audience will somehow result in this wondrous multicultural Utopia where everyone can sit around Halal campfires holding hands and singing Kumbayah to the same god (even while the exact opposite is happening).

infidelsrising, “no Muslim has killed any of the OT prophets…The part ‘all who have been slain on the earth’ seems to widen this group from just prophets and saints to other people. I concede that this could include non-Christians who have been killed by Muslims, but this does not resolve the part about prophets.”

Perhaps John in Revelation was harkening back to the same point that Jesus made against the Pharisees:

John 8:44, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Matthew 23:33-35, “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.”

Just as these Pharisees in Jesus’ day were sons of their “father” the devil and were deemed guilty by Jesus of “all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth” since the murder of Abel, the whore of Babylon, who we would agree is filled with “sons” of the devil, would likewise be deemed guilty of all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, including the prophets, on account of the “father” they serve and the “family” to whom they belong.

Revelation 18:24, “And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”

Interesting points in your reply, though I think some of them are straining the text. And I think there is no reason for John the Revelator to conceal Islam in language that the early church would have recognized as describing an apostate church, but he would have reason to conceal it so that it’s not misunderstood to be describing Rome, a source of persecution for Christians at that time.

I also noticed (unrelated to your reply) that John is taken to a ‘wilderness’ who can also be defined as ‘desert’. This fits the Islamic view very well, since Mecca is in a desert wasteland. But a wilderness (desert) is also figurative of being spiritually desolate, which an apostate church is.

infidelsrising, “Interesting points in your reply, though I think some of them are straining the text.”

Which do you believe strains the text, we can dive into it further if you like. (I updated the previous reply, if that helps).

infidelsrising, “I think there is no reason for John the Revelator to conceal Islam in language that the early church would have recognized as describing an apostate church”

I would argue that John wasn’t concealing Islam at all. It was simply a mystery to him (and everyone else) at the time, but with 1,400 years of hindsight it can now be demonstrated that Islam is precisely what John was describing. See the article titled “How Revelation’s Predictive Biblical Prophecy Foresaw Islamic Teachings” for a more detailed outline.

infidelsrising, “I also noticed (unrelated to your reply) that John is taken to a ‘wilderness’ who can also be defined as ‘desert’. This fits the Islamic view very well, since Mecca is in a desert wasteland.”

Indeed. This is something I’ll frequently point out to those who argue that the whore of Babylon is somehow the Roman Catholic Church.

infidelsrising, “But a wilderness (desert) is also figurative of being spiritually desolate, which an apostate church is.”

Which, in light of the forced conversions of Christians all throughout Islamic history and the descendants of those converts, I would also argue describes Islam. “[O]ne of Islam’s most bitterest of ironies [is that] a great many of today’s Christians, especially those in the Arab world, are being persecuted by Muslims whose own ancestors were persecuted Christians who converted to Islam to end their own suffering. In other words, Muslim descendants of persecuted Christians are today persecuting their Christian cousins—and thus perpetuating the cycle that made them Muslim in the first the place.” (How the Islamic World was Forged: An Exercise in Common Sense by Raymond Ibrahim).

In Daniel 11:37, we read that Antichrist will not “regard the God of his fathers.” In other words, he comes from a nation or a people whose own ancestors were believers, but for some reason they were now no longer believers in the God of his fathers. Why? Because they converted to a different religion that “shall honor a god of fortresses … a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory” (Dan 11:38-39).

Qur’an Sura 39:67, “No just estimate have they [the Christians who believe in the Trinity] made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him!” <– "Allah" is glorified here above the God of the Bible.

If that isn't apostasy, then I don't know what is.

If what Raymond Ibrahim says it true and from what I can tell it is, then I can see how the apostasy would relate to Islam. It began with one man and a few of his thugs whose ultimate mission was to conquer Jews and Christians through conversion (or kill them). Still happening today.

I just discovered your site, and found your article on the 4 horsemen very inspiring and informative. One thing that resonated was that some of these things are happening even now! After all, seals are that which are broken in order to reveal a book’s contents: Revelation’s seals open up the foretellings of the future Antichrist, God’s judgments, the Day of the LORD, and Messiah’s coming.

I have thought for a good while that those 4 colored steeds represented spirits (as per somewhat of a parallel of the red, speckled and white horses of Zechariah 1) going throughout the earth, and representative of Satan’s kingdom. The “pan-Arab colors” of white, red, black, and green are stunning visual aids to me ! I believe these Arab national flags, etc., appeared especially after World War I (the time frame when Israel once more became a nation). These flags, with the exact colors of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, parallel Revelation’s steeds in their destructive activities; the modern 4-colored banners fly over those prophetic geographical regions named in Scripture. These nations are steeped in Islam, with its conquering, bloody, impoverishing, deathly, hellish realities. Totalitarian and fascist in nature, and sweeping the globe!

I will ponder your article. I think we need more time to see about “the temple of God” being an actual one. It seems a stretch to make the Temple the body of Messiah, especially when Daniel says the daily sacrifice is taken away. Daily praise from Christians does seem a bit too far removed. As the book of Daniel is more and more unsealed, I look for clearer pictures of what is literal throughout the highly symbolic book of Revelation.

But we all need time for things to develop, to understand the actual meanings of some things. History shows us that. Just think, after 70 A.D., how Israel was no longer a nation, and Rome, the Catholic church, or other persecutors were working their murderous havoc. In an effort to understand prophetic mysteries, how easily Christians must have fallen into spiritualizing many things — especially erasing the notion of a coming literal national Israel — and substituting replacement theology. Who, in previous centuries, could imagine what our eyes have witnessed literally? For 2,00 years, so much of the prophetic all “spiritualized” into one grand idea (Christ and His church will win and reign). This generalized interpretation they applied to verse, paragraph, and chapter, pasting over and blurring out any future literal specifics of detailed prophecy. All this, despite the fact that the prophecies of Messiah’s first coming were all literal, historical fulfillments.

Your article was most encouraging, as we keep watching and longing for our Saviour and King to return in His glory. “Even so, come, LORD Jesus.”

Hi Judith, thank you for visiting the blog and for the kind words. With respect to Daniel and the Temple being the Body of Messiah, let’s consider the following. As I shared in the Daniel 9:27 Redux article, Daniel’s prophecies often spoke about the last days leading up to the Second Coming of Christ. All throughout the New Testament we are reminded repeatedly that the “temple of God” is the Church and that we, as believers, now offer up the sacrifice of praise (cf. Romans 12:1; Hebrews 13:5; 1 Peter 2:5). Even if the prophet Daniel himself believed the prophecies he received of the end times referred to a physical temple would not change this reality.

Even though Daniel was not always granted full understanding, he was faithful in recording the prophecies he was instructed to write down. Not knowing that the temple of God would one day be the people of God, however, would have conceivably been somewhat bewildering to Daniel if he had himself assumed that it was a physical temple that would be defiled during the time of the end. This could very well have been one of the reasons why Daniel did not understand all that he was receiving. According to the words of the Apostle Paul in Acts 17:24, a physical temple today would be little more than an empty building, void of the presence of God. I am sure that Christ would have known this as well, suggesting that Jesus would in no way have been referring to a physical temple as the “holy place” in Matthew 24:15 when referring to the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel, nor would Paul have depicted an empty rebuilt temple as being the “temple of God” in 2 Thessalonians 2:4. A building absent of God is just another building. But the “holy temple” that is the Church in which God dwells, however, is a whole other matter. This may have been why Jesus said “let the reader understand” in Matthew 24:15 — because Daniel did not:

Matthew 24:15, “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand–“

Something to consider. Feel free to read more thoughts in this regard in this article here.

The problem is that the four horsemen could represent any period of conflict, including a future period, e.g., the tribulation. Also, if Muhammad is represented by the white horse and his rider, why does the rider have no arrows for his bow? When did Muhammad and his warriors not use weapons? Jihad is the way of Islam as the Quranic verses quoted by ICA so indicate. If the bowless warrior represents the Meccan period (the peaceful Muhammad) for Muhammad, the text would not say that “he went out conquering, and to conquer.” Rev 6:2. It seems more likely that the white rider represents a future antichrist who will manifest himself as a leader who brings peace but in reality will bring about the red horse and the conquests prescribed in the tribulation.

Jack Smith, “… if Muhammad is represented by the white horse and his rider, why does the rider have no arrows for his bow?”

Hi Jack, good to hear from you. When Mohammed first declared himself to be a prophet, he set out to conquer not with weapons, but with words. The First Horseman. Originally, Mohammed entered into “prophethood” relatively peacefully and proclaimed his religion to be a religion of peace, though this was all part of the deception. Mohammed’s war of ideas had garnered some success, but it was limited. He went out to bring his message to the Jews, but they rejected him. He went out to bring his message to the Christians, but he was rejected. He went out to bring his message to his own town and tribesmen, but they, too, rejected him. Though Mohammed had a symbol of strength (bow), he was still weak (no arrows). Voluntary submission did not reap the sort of numbers nor the strength that Mohammed desired, ergo the need to now strengthen and solidify himself and his religion through ruthlessness and intolerance.

Because Mohammed does not have arrows — a weapon which can reach far and wide to penetrate the hearts of men — he would need to be given a sword, and it was handed to him in the form of Just-In-Time revelations from his “Allah” with which to subdue those much nearer to him. That sword is Jihad. During the last decade of Mohammed’s life he directed a continuous series of foreign military expeditions that saw nothing but the expropriation of goods as well as the eviction, enslavement and extermination of all who refused to submit to his “religion of peace.” The Second Horseman. It has been this way ever since and its effect has given rise to The Third Horseman and The Fourth Horseman.

Today all four ride together as one. Could I be wrong? Sure, but that is how I see it.

I concur with the history you mention (which is why I noted the “Meccan period – the peaceful Muhammad” in my comment) but the text says he “went out conquering and to conquer.” The Meccan period was not a period of sword conquest so how could this rider represent Muhammad if he “goes out conquering and to conquer.”?

I wonder if the arrowless rider communicates that this is spiritual warfare rather than physical warfare (the red horse and rider are physical warfare so it would be an unneccesary duplication for the white horse to represent physical warfare). The crown is “given to him”; this has to be given to him by God. If I were to see Muhammad in the white horse it would be as the spiritual embodiment of satan so that the white horse and rider are sent to gather Muslims against Christians (and everyone else). It follows then that the remaining progression of horses are the manifestation of spiritual warfare into physical warfare.

      Blessings ICA.

John may have gotten his imagery of the ‘four horseman’ from the Old Testament, though not in the same order.

(Zec 6:2) With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses,
(Zec 6:3) with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot strong dappled horses.

(Eze 14:21) For thus says the Lord GOD, “How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut off man and beast from it!

Clearly, “four judgements” were against Jerusalem, and literally mentioned sword, famine, plague and ‘wild beasts’.

From the more reasonable full preterism perspective, the four horseman are describing events that took place between 67-70AD, the judgement against unrepentant Old Covenant Jews, Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple made by hands, made obsolete by the temple made by God, the temple of the Holy Spirit, the ecclesia church.

On verse 2, the first horse is describing an outside force coming against Old Covenant Jews in Jerusalem. This would have been the beginning of Rome’s aggression against Jews. The second horse is describing an inside force, which would have bee civil war, war among themselves.

Pertaining to the second horseman…In verse 4, note the use of the word ‘world’ (GK ‘ge’- the land, the inhabited land, also figurative for the land of Israel, 1 Cor 7:31, 10:11, Heb 9:26 ) ….”that he would take peace from the world/earth”. This actually happened. In the fall/winter of 67 AD a brutal civil war broke out in Jerusalem and Judea between the revolutionaries and those who wanted to maintain peace with Rome. Jerusalem was eventually divided into three factions led by Eleazar, who was over the Zealots, John of Gischala, who was over the Galileans, and Simon, who was over the Idumeans. It remained this way until the city was destroyed.

Josephus records…. (from Wars, 2:18:2): “Every city was divided into two armies encamped one against another…so the daytime was spent in shedding of blood, and the night in fear.”

This event resulted in the starvation and deaths of even non-combatant Jews…another fulfillment of Jesus’ warning in…

(Luk 23:29) For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

(Luk 23:30) Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

See also (Rev 6:16) And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

        Also….

(Luk 21:23) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon THIS people.

The “this people” were Jews of that generation. Josephus recorded instances where women were actually eating their own children during this event.

The third horseman pertains to widespread starvation within Jerusalem.

“In December 69 AD John of Gischala foolishly set fire to the supply warehouses in Jerusalem, and nearly all the grain supplies were burned, which would have lasted the city for years. This set the stage for a massive famine which would prove to be Jerusalem’s undoing. The famine became so severe during the final five months in which Jerusalem was under siege by the Romans that there are records of parents roasting and eating their own children. Others ate their belts, sandals, dried grass, and even oxen dung. There were violent home invasions where anyone who was suspected of hoarding food was tormented until they revealed where it was. Some escaped from Jerusalem to the Romans because they couldn’t bear the conditions in the city any longer. Josephus records that some then failed to restrain their appetites, but quickly ate so much that they literally caused their bodies to burst open.” Source: Adam Maarschalk at http://www.adammaarschalk.com

Josephus says… “Many there were indeed who sold what they had for one quart; it was of wheat, if they were of the richer sort, but of barley, if they were poorer (Wars, 5:10:2).”

Pertaining to the “oil and wine”…Josephus says…

“Accordingly, drawing the sacred wine and oil, which the priests kept for pouring on the burnt offerings, and which was deposited in the inner temple, [John] distributed them among his adherents, who consumed without horror more than a hin in anointing themselves and drinking (Wars, 5:13:6)”

        Pertaining to the fourth horseman…

“The reference to the means of death, sword, hunger, death [i.e. pestilence], and beasts of the earth [v. 8] are a deliberate echo of Ezekiel 14:21, where “sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence” are called God’s “four severe judgments on Jerusalem.” In Ezekiel, God used these means to inflict judgment at the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586 B.C., which was a precursor of this event, similar in detail and in significance, in A.D. 70. (Source: Steve Gregg, Revelation: Four Views Parallel Commentary)

Rather than depart from what was the orthodox view to first century Christians, that Jesus’ return in judgement on both literal Jerusalem and the spiritual city of Jerusalem (Judaism) would occur in their lifetime, I believe the more reasonable view is to affirm it, and abstain from the ever-changing futurist paradigm and its recent upstart eschatons, like the Islamic paradigm.

Though I once believed and promoted this idea of a future Islamic antichrist and all that was involved with it, I have rescinded that belief and have instead gone with the much better evidence for full preterism. The problem with the futurist/Islamic paradigm, is that 1. It assumes futurism is true and 2. It requires a constant imposing onto the text of concepts and ideas that seem to readily change with current events. The bible definitely disproves the former and eisogesis, which is the latter, is repugnant to me.

In not just a few scriptures, Jesus clearly indicated that His return in judgement would be seen by first century Jews and both Jesus and Paul in many cases taught that His return in judgement would bring all prophecy into fulfillment. For example, in Luke, we see Jesus predicting that “all things which are written may be fulfilled”. Obviously, this would include all written prophecy.

THESE are days of vengeance, in order that all things which are written may be fulfilled. (Luke 21:22)

The “THESE” days are contextually linked to the other verses surrounding Luke 21:22, which pertain to the destruction of Jerusalem. There simply no escape from this.

We can also see Jesus’ return associated with the ‘end of the age’ and ‘last days’ of Judaism throughout the New Testament.

THIS is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: “And it shall be IN THE LAST DAYS. . .” (Acts 2:16-17)

      Heb 1:2 Hath in THESE LAST DAYS spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but NOW once IN THE END OF THE WORLD hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The “world” in this sense was the Jewish world, the world of Old Covenant Judaism.

The apostles and their Christian audiences believed and expected a first century return of Jesus, even in their lifetime.

Be patient, therefore, brethren [James’ immediate audience], until the coming of the Lord. (James 5:7)

YOU [James’ first century audience] too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord IS AT HAND (James 5:8)

In light of the evidence from the scriptures as they would be understood by a first century Jewish believer, I had to depart from the futurist/Islamic paradigm, though it seemed at the time to be compelling. But once futurism has been taken down, all the proposed eschatons based on it must also go.

I would invite you both to ask yourselves…Who was Jesus talking to when He said…

Mat 26:64 …..Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Answer: Caiphas the high priest, scribes and elders (Matt 26:57) and the chief priests, elders and the entire council (Matt 26:59).

Who was Paul talking to when he said…

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Answer: 1Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, UNTO THE CHURCH OF THE THESSALONIANS which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Who was Paul referring to when he said “we”, “you” and “our” in 2 Thess 2:1?

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

Answer: 2Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, UNTO THE CHURCH OF THE THESSALONIANS in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
