Falling Away From The Faith: Over 50 US Churches To Hold Qur’an Readings

Now we go from a church buying and donating dozens of Qur’ans to a bookstore, to churches now holding Qur’an readings?  This is idolatry.  This is spiritual fornication.  This is wrong on many levels.  If your church is among those holding these readings I encourage you to protest and demand that it be cancelled, and if they refuse, find another church to attend …

1 Timothy 4:1-2, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron …”

2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, [because] they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn [their] ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

2 John 1:7, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”

“‘We want to send a message to the world,’ said Tad Stahnke, director of policy and programs for Human Rights First, ‘that Americans do respect religious differences and reject religious bigotry and the demonization of Islam or any other religion.’

Do the Qur’an readings below constitute demonization of Christianity? Would Tad Stahnke care to explain why not?

Here are some readings that the congregants in the various churches might enjoy:

Christians have forgotten part of the divine revelations they received: ‘From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.’ — Qur’an 5:14

Jesus is not the Son of God: ‘O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not ‘Three’ – Cease! (it is) better for you! – Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.’ — Qur’an 4:171

‘It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.’ — Qur’an 19:35

Those who believe that Jesus is God’s Son are accursed: ‘The Jews call ‘Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!’ — Qur’an 9:30

Jesus was not crucified: ‘And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.’ — Qur’an 4:157″  Read more.

    I am so very disgusted even discouraged with what is happening in the churches today that they have become so blinded, like fools calling this freedom – freedom from what???

    Even though I find this discouraging my personnel faith will never yield but when we see friends and family members and churches falling for this hog wash it really makes one sad FOR THEM – I think to some extent we may have brought this upon ourselves by being so freedom orintated – it is true that freedom is a good and wonderful thing and that it has made us the great nations that we are – like our pastor said several months ago there is a cycle which lasts plus or minus 300 years for most great nations – I may not have this exactly worded the same way but it begins when we were once enslaved and than we get our freedom than we enjoy this freedom and build and do wonderful things until we become materially very rich and live the good life which will once again bring or return us back to slavery

    I wonder what God Almighty would say – what would Christ would say if we asked him the question and what he thought about our acceptance of religious freeedom and religious tolerance like we have envisioned it and practised it – Is this not what he meant when he said that a little yeast would affect the whole batch of dough – is this not what we were warned about when Christ said to watch the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees – and I see this Islam or now Chrislam being excatly that YEAST that has affected everything we hold Holy and DEar

    By being so generous and tolerant with allowing such freedoms it really was only a matter of time from the time that our European ancesters left Europe because of all of the many religious wars between the church and the kings that a large part of the church would become so corrupted. But I guess that is what history teaches us – the Jews did exactly the same thing – they absorbed the false religons around them – Solomon did the same thing with his many wives of many faiths

    I have travelled in and out of more than 56 countries working in many with many nationals and what has always amazed me was the poorest of the poor were almost always the people of the strongest faith whether that faith was Christian, Hindu, Muslim, or other – I can see more and more clear what was meant when either Paul or Peter said or indicated that if we are to be slaves we need to be slaves for and to Christ and Christ alone

    Even though we know and understand that these things are prophizied and are to come about it still surprises me when we actually are faced with these things and these questions –

    ICA – What do you think – I am wondering if maybe we are not beginning to see clues that it may be the church or a part of the so called church that will be the False Prophet or the Great Prostitute who is turning from Christ

    I watch the timeline of 2520 biblical years for many historical timeline events especially related to the book of Daniel and this year according to what I have found that Dec 26th on Rosh Chodesh 2011 it is 2520 biblical years from the first Purim on March 7th to 473 BC – the next day Dec 27th the Torah Calender indicates that this is the day understood as was the day of the death of king Herod Matt 2:19 – is this a coincendance ?? Just a thought as 2011 certainly has been a year of many floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, the so called Arab Spring, Tsunamis, Nuclear disasters, wild life dying around the world, Sept being the month to divide up Jerusalem and on and on

    Probably something similar to what Christ says here:

    Revelation 2:18-22, “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.”
